Fantastic experience: South Jersey Driving School is the best around. They are professional, courteous, and reliable. Their driving instructors are patient and genuinely care about the students they are teaching. From intake to the final lesson, they guide you through the process. They were always available to answer questions, confirm appointments, and reassure me (and drivers) throughout the process. All three of my sons used South Jersey and they all passed their test on their first try. I would recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: The investment is well with it. We had a great experience with our daughter. The instructors really built her confidence and she passed the test with flying colors. The road test is worth the extra money.

So, at 50 years old, I signed up for a 2 hr. stick shift lesson at S. Jersey Driving School with Tony. He is an absolute gem!!! Tony has tons of patience. I learned so much & had a wonderful time! Fantastic experience: I just passed my drivers test the other day and I can confidently say it was because of SJDS. Every one of my instructors was kind and friendly. Through each 2 hour session, with 3 different instructors, I had friendly conversation and kind guidance. They offered lots of helpful advice and I learned things that drivers ed in school did not teach. Minutes before my road test the instructor who drove with me helped me incredibly by giving me some last minute (very helpful) information and tips for parallel parking, which was what I was nervous about. I would recommend South Jersey Driving School to anyone looking for a quality driving school for their teens.

Tried to call to make an appointment but they keep hanging up my call then after multiple attempts they finally answered, asked why I kept calling them when they kept hanging up and before I can say anything they hanged up on me again. Fantastic experience: I learned to drive stick with Tony and he is an awesome teacher. He teaches a great amount of material in just two hours! The car is a 6-speed 2014 Chevy Camaro. He doesn't rush at all and makes sure you fully understand what you're doing. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: In trying to find a new vehicle, I found that I was hitting a wall in my search because all of the cars I was truly interested in came in a manual. Everyone I know seems to know how to DRIVE stick but they don't actually OWN a manual transmission car. Enter South Jersey Driving School. I took their stick shift lesson and for two hours. Tony guided me through everything from clutch control, stop and go on hills, and of course shifting through the gears. Tony is a true teacher. His methodology is a calm approach, very patient, and tailor-made so that you understand how to control your vehicle. The route we took was great. Not a lot of traffic to get you nervous. It seemed like each part of the route helped you with a certain aspect of understanding how to drive stick. The 2 hours was plenty of time and after we were finished, there was no doubt in my mind I was able to go test drive a stick shift car (granted I'm an adult with years of driving experience so results may vary). I would recommend anyone to South Jersey Driving School. The price is well justified for the value that you get. - You get an expert on driving so you don't pick up those bad habits from your Uncle Whatever, - An expert TEACHER (not your mom, dad or friend), - A prepared and well-thought out lesson - And a quality sports car experience to learn in (which I am now deeply considering buying). Thanks for teaching me such a great skill!

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give this company more than 5 stars. Everyone was wonderful to deal with but MaryBeth went above and beyond to help my son on the day of his driving test. She gave him last minute tips and calmed his nerves. I cannot say enough good things. MaryBeth was professional, patient, helpful and most of all kind. It is hard to find good customer service anymore, but South Jersey Driving School goes the extra mile. I would highly recommend them for any driving needs.

Fantastic experience: I had road test appointment in Cherry hill and i am from Edison. I called them and booked for combo pack. I was worried if they didnt show up as i have to travel for 1.5hrs to get there. But it went so smooth. Their instructor Brian gave me some tips and we did some practise runs and then went to road test and passed. Thanks to all of them! Keep up the good work!!!

Fantastic experience: My 16 year old son had a great experience driving with South jersey driving school. The instructors really made him feel comfortable behind the wheel. He is typically shy and yet with each instructor he had, they each had a way of making him feel more at ease. His first lesson which was the one he was most nervous with, was with Matt and he really made an instant connection with my son with lacrosse. My many thanks to Matt, Mark, and Tom. Fantastic experience: I rented a car for the driving road test. It was a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The instructor was there before time, showed me the route for the test, gave me some advice and above all reassured me. He was absolutely lovely and even told the DMV examiner to be kind to me.

Fantastic experience: Overall, I had a 10 out of 10 experience. I couldn't have asked for better. Here's my story. I was extremely eager to drive, so I called the school to book my 6 Hours of Driving much earlier than required. Mary Beth (the owner) was so accommodating to my excitement to get on the road, that she brought me in for a consultation with my dad months before turning age 16! Most students don't even get their consultation until after turning 16 years based on the time they call. Bryan (scheduler) was great at scheduling my hours in a timely fashion; not being too late after the day I turned 16. I finally got on the road with George (driving instructor), and it was pure bliss the entire journey! I had three sessions with him, each being 2 hours. He taught me everything I need to know in regard to being on the road and was so patient. He was always alert just in case he needed to use his passenger-side brake or grab my wheel. He was also great conversation when appropriate! One of the best parts of the session is the instructor keeps a note chart with him, filling out what I was good at, what needs work, if additional lessons are suggested, and all the driving skills he taught me. This was great so that my parents know where to begin with me. Not all driving schools do this! The high price of $375 was surely worth it. As of right now, I am just waiting for the school to get my permit validated by the DMV, and then I can pick it up! This is the school you want to send your child for driving. I am SO pleased with them!

Positive experience: Tony did a great job at teaching me the basics of manual, he cleared up some misconceptions I had and was very patient in my learning process. He guided me through the process of shifting gears and clutching in a professional manner -- and though I have much more to learn, I have the basics down and I will be ready to teach myself more when I do get a manual. I do wish I had learned in a more controlled environment like an empty parking lot, however, I understand people learn better under some sort of pressure. For instance: Making a full stop into a first gear take off I feel like I would have learned and employed the technique a lot more effectively had I practiced for a few minutes more. Nevertheless, Tony is a great instructor and I am glad he has had the patience to teach me!

Fantastic experience: I am so glad we decided to have South Jersey Driving School work with my daughter to practice and take her road test! The school was very clear about what we needed to have on hand the day of the test. The instructor, Bill, was very thorough and supportive. I will definitely use them again when it’s time for my next child to drive!

Fantastic experience: Tony C taught me how to drive a manual stick shift in two hours! My dad and husband had tried and all that happened was a lot of yelling and frustration. Tony explained everything in simple, easy terms like finding the “sweet spot”! I got right out on the road but still felt safe. I was not overwhelmed at all given his expert instruction and directions. He even told me some facts about the towns we drove though. I cannot recommend him enough! Fantastic experience: I had the honor of having Tom and Brian as my driving instructors and they were both phenomenal in their own way. I just want to personally thank them both because if it wasn’t for them or the South Jersey Driving School I would have not received my license a few days ago. What being said, I recommend everyone to try this Driving School out because you won’t be disappointed. If your like me and was discouraged and never thought you would get your license, don’t give up but instead give them a call and book a lesson as they’ll make you feel confident and have courage behind the wheel!!

Fantastic experience: Today my dad passed his driving test. Mr. Chuck is did his driving review before his test and he was amazing. My dad said Mr. Chuck gave him some good tips and was very helpful. Mr. Chuck and I chatted while my dad was testing and he is very nice.

Fantastic experience: MaryBeth is truly an angel on earth! I live in Bergen County, NJ and had the most frustrating experience scheduling my daughter’s road test after she failed the first time for parallel parking. There were no available appointments until September/October in all areas of Bergen County. I contacted the driving school she took her lessons with to see about getting some extra lessons and was told they had no availability. I also tried multiple other driving schools in Bergen County only to be turned away with the same response. The closet DMV that had availability for a road test was in Delanco, NJ. I decided to make the 96 mile trip for my daughter to take the road test again. Unfortunately, she failed again for parallel parking. That was a long drive home! Completely frustrated with the process and lack of resources/help in Bergen County, I decided to contact a driving school in South Jersey since the only available road tests were in that location. I found South Jersey Driving School by doing a google search late one evening when my frustration was at its’ highest. I sent an email, hoping to get a response. To my surprise, a few moments later I received a response from MaryBeth. The minute I read her email, a sense of calm came over me. Her first line was basically an apology for all we have been through and that she would contact me first thing in the morning to help my daughter. The next morning, MaryBeth contacted me and made my daughter an appointment to take her for her road test at the Delanco DMV location. She personally met us at the DMV 1.5 hours before her test and made my daughter feel calm and confident. My daughter and I are so thankful for South Jersey Driving School and for truly caring people like MaryBeth.

Fantastic experience: We hired another driving school to teach our 17 year old daughter and take her to her road test. The test was a disaster. The instructor forgot her license and the test was delayed an hour. My daughter took the test and failed. That wasn’t really the issue, though. The tester was really nasty and had her in tears. The other driving school did not acknowledge the instructor lateness and was extremely rude. My daughter’s confidence was undermined. I then called South Jersey Driving School. I explained the situation and Brian was extremely nice and assured me that he could get my daughter to her second test and provide a short review prior to the test. He showed up for the test and reassured my daughter who was extremely nervous. He was kind, professional and she passed! Go with this school! Go for lessons and the road test! No drama, just flat out good instructors and nice people!!!!!

He couldn't wait for his two hour on the road lessons, He especially enjoyed driving with Mark W who is a former police officer in the county- Mark's background as a law enforcement officer meant a lot to me- knowing the training, demonstrated performance, and cool under pressure requirements to make a successful career in law enforcement. Mark gave my son a lot of confidence, tips and techniques in a very calm and encouraging manner. The office staff worked the paperwork and his testing with no issues. Great communications. She was very knowledgeable and very helpful.I passed my test and I couldn't be more grateful for her. This woman didn't even know me but was so excited for me when I passed. Which meant more to me than she could ever understand. My godmother was supposed to be with me the day I finally got my license and she passed away. It was a Bittersweet day for me.You can tell that she loves what she does.it truely shows! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Brian, he helped me pass my driver test and earn my license. I called him on a short notice but he was still open to help me out! I barely practice for my road test but with that 1 hour help he gave me I was able to pass. THANK YOU SO MUCH BRIAN! Definitely recommend this company!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing. I’ve done the 6 hours, the 2 hour review lessons, and the 1 hour before your actual test. Everyone makes you feel confident and the way they teach you to parallel park makes you wonder why people think it’s so hard. I was putting off my test because I was so worried. But suddenly we were pulling up to the DMV after an hour of practice and didn’t even have time to stress that I was taking it and easily passed! I don’t think I would have ever done it without them. I highly recommend the hour of practice before your test. It’s absolutely worth it. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: First of all, let me talk about the first time I called the school. The lady that answered the call was the nicest in the world! She provided all the informations with such knowledge that I immediately knew this would be my driving school. I’m a 35 year old woman, restarting to drive after a 4 years break, and for that mission they gave me the best instructor EVER! Serious, Tom is one of a kind! After the first class I was totally ready! He knows everything about everything, he is patient and he’s gonna have you driving before you expect it! Thanks Tom!
