Customer service was excellent, and Andy was the most down to earth, easy going, informative, and professional instructor I had the good fortune to test with. I was so nervous in the beginning, but he was so personable and patient with me, that he made the testing experience feel so much more relaxed. THANK YOU, ANDY AND BDL!!!! After 4 test dates, a lot of determination, a little practice, and the best instructor in Michigan... I am happy to say that I FINALLY passed my road test!!!

Fantastic experience: Today I had a very nice experience with the instructor Gabe in the driving test, with people like him it is very nice because without lowering his level of demand and rigor he was able to give me confidence and security by explaining in detail each moment of the test, his affable character stands out, one of the issues that all people need, even more so being Latinos who do not know the language and still familiarizing ourselves with the laws of the State of Michigan, God bless you always, I will recommend this office and especially this instructor who will not regret it. Today I felt very good in the exam with the instructor Gabe, with great professionalism he explained every detail of the exam and gave us security and confidence, thank you for so much patience with the Latinos who depend on your experience and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Fantastic experience: The absolute best driving school. I just passed my CDL-A road test with BDL and my wife recently passed her driver’s license road test with BDL. The best thing about BDL is that they are able to recognize when someone that they are testing actually knows what they are doing, but has testing nerves. Happened to both my wife and me, two different testers. I could not recommend BDL more highly. I’ll definitely send my son to them in about a decade when he’s old enough to start driver’s ed.

Fantastic experience: When I went I was just about to throw up from nerves, I think my testers name was Robert, he was a great tester and very patient. This was my second time dealing with them after I went to test and my permit was messed up, nora tried everything to help me above and beyond what she needed to do. Fantastic experience: Andy administered my son’s driving test today and was great to work with. I appreciated that he carried on casual conversation while giving the test as it helped to decrease the stress of the test but also made it “real” to what my son will be doing driving a friends etc. the rest of his life. It’s evident he cares about young drivers, safety, and takes the job very seriously.

Fantastic experience: I failed my CDL A test twice! But my tester, Nora was always positive and happy to see me try again. I finally passed my test today, and I just had to recommend BDL. Nora is calm and clear on her directions. She made me feel comfortable throughout all 3 tests, and that helped me continue to stay positive and keep trying. Thanks again BDL!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this company. Particularly I would recommend Nora, she is clear, direct and comforting (as comforting as a state test can be I suppose). I didn't feel she was hard or easy as a tester just a perfect happy medium, just observed, read and explained instructions well. I tested in Sanford but I do believe they test in West Branch as well. I do recommend testing in Sanford, it's very easy to find and a nice spot for a course she has at the Midland county road commission.

Fantastic experience: Tested yesterday for my CDL A license. My examiner ( Rob ) was very professional, explaining each segment of the testing process. In the 43+ years as a CDL driver, I had only taken 1 driving test and that was back in my teens! Being from another state and recently becoming a resident of Michigan, I had some issues with licensing requirements. With Rob’s knowledge and assistance, I was able to resolve these issues.Although I have not received any training from BDL Testing & Driving School and only going off their “ First Impressions”I can honestly say I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to further their transportation education.

Negative experience: This place is not a good place to take your test they just use you for your money they test really hard on everything for being over 18 and doing the toad test I know how to drive perfectly and I have paid about 400$ in rescheduling my test. Plus the vehicle they have for you to use if you don't have one the seat sits really low you can't see over the hood (im 6'3), it doesn't move up and it has a few service lights on on the dash, and it's really touchy. This car is set for you to fail. So if I was any of you I recommend making sure you got your own vehicle with everything working including third tail light and to make sure to take your test elsewhere. I was even told by the Gladwin Secretary of state that since they got bought by new owners they've only heard bad things from people.

Fantastic experience: I completed my Class A CDL Road Test through BDL & it took place in Birch Run with Nora as my Tester. She was so kind, explains everything perfectly, happily answers questions if you had one & was all around a wonderful person to work with. I highly recommend this company, especially if you’re someone that gets worked up easily- it was like having a friend in the passenger seat. Thanks Nora for being so kind!

Negative experience: Completely inconvenient class I don’t know how they expect anyone to be able to get there kid to class on time with classes being scheduled from 6am to 8am school starts at 8 there no time to commute from driving school to my kids school completely inconve

Fantastic experience: Andy in Beaverton was great! This is a nervous situation for a new driver but Andy is very relaxed, speaks calmly, and gives plenty of notice of upcoming turns and directions. I highly recommend him and will ask for him in a couple years for my next child
