Fantastic experience: After I spend hundreds of dollars with another instructor and learn nothing.i said let's try Rich, and i learned i lot from the first lesson so i had 3 more classes before my test and i did it.i PASSED my road test yesterday thanks to Rich .I cannot recommend Rich enough! Fantastic experience: Going to heritage is the easiest quickest way to get your cdl. Rich my instructor was super knowledge made it all easy and went out of his way to help reschedule when I had an issue. I wouldn’t go about getting your cdl any other way.

Fantastic experience: My instructor, Brian, is very personable and invested in his students. He made me feel very comfortable from the beginning even though it was my first time behind the wheel of a tractor trailer. The 2 hour lessons are very thorough. By the time I scheduled the road test, I felt very comfortable driving and was able to pass my CDL-A in a timely fashion.

Fantastic experience: Great school. Great instructor's will help you get your CDL license with ease. Richie was very helpful and help me with everything. Also if you don't have your own transportation it is very easy to get there by train or bus. If you drive there's a parking garage nearby with ample parking. I highly recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: I passed on my first time taking Class B after working with Rich at Heritage. Rich was patient as an instructor and did not over-teach. There was no pressure from him and I went at my own pace. Rich provided a video demonstration and written instruction to study for the road test; use them! Overall very good experience and will see them for any future licensing needs.

Fantastic experience: I did my CDL class B training with Rich and with his knowledgeable instruction and advice I was able to pass my road test. I can’t stress enough how great of an instructor he was. Going into my training I had never driven manual before and within my first lesson I was able to perform basic shifting and was able to drive in a traffic setting. Fantastic experience: It’s been nearly a decade since I have operated a vehicle and, in that timeframe, I’ve only done it once. So, it’s fair to say that I needed to seek professional instruction from a reputable driving school that can assist me with building up my driving skills so that I can increase the likelihood of passing my road test. A family member of mine has taken a handful of lessons with Heritage Auto School. With that in mind, plus a non-shortage of positive reviews that you’ll find here on Google, I made the decision to give this school a try. Through multiple lessons that I took, I quickly learned that they have some of the best driving instructors around; particularly an instructor named Rich who was very instrumental in sharpening my skills in preparation for the Class D Road Test. His teaching style fosters a learning environment of calm, concentration, and vigilance. Personally, pushing a 2-ton vehicle down the asphalt was a slightly intimidating experience for me since I haven’t done it in quite some time. But rest assured, Heritage Auto School has excellent instructors that are level-headed, will acknowledge your improvements, and identify the mistakes that you made in a respectful manner so that you can work on becoming the best driver that you can be. This fact helped me build my confidence and after taking some lessons, I was able to take the road test and successfully passed on my first attempt!! If you have the willingness and resolve to learn, you can’t possibly go wrong by taking the driving courses offered by Heritage Auto School. I am thankful that they (and Rich) played a significant part of my journey in helping me prepare for the road test, and now as a newly licensed driver, I am eager to apply everything that was taught to me and improve myself even further so that I can remain safe and vigilant in my future driving expeditions.

Fantastic experience: LISTEN! Just incase you are debating on getting your CDL don't look no further! I spent months looking for a quality CDL-A school that had a newer manual truck and ended up switching from about four other schools in Long Island, Bronx ,New Jersey and Brooklyn. I finally ended up in Heritage New Rochelle and never left! From the Main office where the friendly staff always welcomed me warmly and provided enough information before i begin my classes, to the serene and spacious private field location where you practice your Pre trip, backing and on the road ,this is absolutely a Gem if you want to learn and pass your test. I also enjoyed the benefit of 1:1 lessons without any other people or groups which brings in the aspect of the instructor tailoring your lessons based on what you need to focus on. My instructor Adam was really cool throughout my classes and provided enough emphasis on key areas that i needed to sharpen up before my road test. Before you know it he let me know i was golden for the road test based on his observations not mentioning the brand new manual truck i practiced with the whole time! I finally passed my CDL-A road test on my first try and the rigorous training and instruction made it look so easy! If you have a willing to learn attitude and show up on time everyday to your classes you have the cheat code to passing with this school!

Positive experience: I was in this school temporarily for my CDL class A I had Brian as an instructor he was cool but with him I didn’t fully understand or learn everything and the truck that I practiced on is not the type of truck that schools and companies use nowadays it’s very old fashioned. I didn’t finish there because I moved , so I enrolled into a fantastic private trucking school and I learned EVERYTHING and they made sure I was comfortable with a truck that is up to date and the driving of the truck on highways and etc and turns because that was my weakness and knew Every single part of the truck even parts that wasn’t on the Dmv CDL Test. Now I didn’t post this review to bash this school but just to be honest with my review I paid a lot of money for this school and kind of regret it , the only thing that I’m grateful for is the little bit of experience I got from driving the truck from this school. I still wish this school nothing but success and the best.
We have 2024 and 2020 model CDL A vehicles so we do keep up to date tractor trailers for training. Our vehicles are set up for training to obtain your CDL license in NY. As you mentioned you did experience a little bit of training and are grateful. We would have been more than happy for you to experience additional training especially on the highway if you had not moved. We also wish you the best in the CDL industry!

Fantastic experience: Heritage is top notch! Adam not only helped me learn to drive a Tractor-Trailer but also learn to drive manual for the first time and he was a great teacher. He really took the time to make sure I was comfortable and confident behind the wheel. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Heritage overall. The customer service from the girls was great. I did the CDLA classes with Brian. He was a great teacher making sure i learned how to be as safe as possible and that i learned correctly. I had the impression that he liked teaching and made sure he explained as much as possible. His teaching methods make sure to stick especially in the inspection where you need to learn and remember. He is also a great person and we had great talks during the lesson. I really appreciate the time i spent there learning.

Fantastic experience: Adam is the Best! He took his time with my daughter and gave her the Best Experience Ever! My daughter is a careful driver because of Adam. God Bless You Adam! In addition, Alice was just as great! She worked with us during scheduling and was able to give us convenient times. Also, a few of my family members used this driving school and they were also happy with their services. By the way, everyone that I know passed their road test on the first try. Use them and do at least 10 sessions depending on your comfort level. This is a "Great" driving school. You will not be disappointed!

I took classes with really knowledgeable and professional instructor Adam and… I can tell: This guy is amazing!!! The school classes are not cheap, but You get what you pay for After I took all recommended classes, I flew trough the PTI, parking , brakes, and driving exam like a bird ! Top notch experience!!!! Negative experience: The 5 hour class was a waste on money!!! It was nothing but a bunch of reading and they quizzed you on what you read. There wasn’t any demonstration on anything about driving , they just had YouTube clip videos of people on the news getting into accidents. I literally didn’t learn anything
