Negative experience: I definitely wouldn’t recommend going here to get Class A’s or maybe my husband got the wrong instructor(Navada) the guy was already 25 minutes late and came in wearing crocs and dingy wrinkled clothing. Very dry and didnt spare no time to fail my husband. Very predictable prejudice and the vibe isn't welcoming. Don’t consider.

Fantastic experience: I would like to give a big thank you to Ken for making my time at CT easy-going and rememberable. I have never driven a semi truck before or backed one up. But my instructor Evan was very knowledgeable and helpful, and after practicing every day for a few weeks, I was able to figure it out. I got better and better every week, and I appreciate all the help and encouragement Evan, Ken, and much of the staff provided. This is a great driving school, and this experience changed my life. Thank you, CT, for teaching me life skills on how to be a professional, safe truck driver.

Negative experience: I was that student the crashed the truck in the yard 4 years ago. I was only in school for 1 week when i had the accident. I took full responsibility for the accident. I was kicked out of the program for that reason. I don't remember the instructors names on the yard but they were great. It was the admin staff that told me I have to pay for the damage to the trucks or leave the program. I choose to leave the program because I knew that the staff would treat me differently after that. The day of the accident the admin staff was talking about me and how i messed everything up. Two weeks later I get a bill in the mail from them saying I owe for the whole amount. I knew that you would say it wasnt true. I sat in that office when the manger and Kevin and the cdl examiner told me I wasn't welcomed there anymore. The place that sponsored me sent me to a different school in Tampa to get my cdl. When I got the bill from carrer tech I called Ms Cindy right away and she gave me the number to the owner. When I called him about the bill he said that I had to pay or he would see me in court. I reminded him that I was training and that is what insurance is for. Why would I make this up. The yard staff was good. It was the admin staff that was wrong.

Fantastic experience: Could not ask for a better school and instructor's. From Admin, Testers and instructor's this school is top notch. Organized and dedicated to insuring you graduate. The organization is friendly and it's instructor's were drivers themselves. If you listen, study and work hard, you will succeed. It's like life...what you put in you will definitely get out of this school. Would recommend to anyone trying to get their CDL for the 1st time or again. Keep up the Great Training!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved my time here at Career Tech. The staff is extremely friendly and will invest as much time to help you learn. It is a school and you will have to work to improve. They're not just going to hand you a CDL for spending the time. Each day, you'll work on general knowledge, skills, and actual driving. You work in teams in order to help learn from mistakes made and encourage or help each other. Testing is simple if you pay attention and put in the work. There are never stupid questions, and they want you to succeed. My instructors went above and beyond to teach me real-life skills. Not just how to pass the test. I was there to learn to drive a bus. They're also a truck school, standard driving school, and testing center. If you want to learn and are serious about doing well, then I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: This CDL school is THE ONE to go to, look no further! Ken is so genuine, kind, and professional. He spoke to me many times through text and call before I even paid a dime to help me and comfort me through the process of getting my CDL. He told me everything I needed to do step by step and it was a huge help. I signed up for their CDL prep classes and went to class for 4 days where Evan my instructor/ mentor/ teacher who was absolutely incredible taught me and my fellow classmates everything inside, outside, and around a truck and all of its operations. Evan was so passionate about what he does, he truly made every day in class enjoyable and the way he teaches is so refreshing and enjoyable. He got me ready for my CDL driving test and helped me pass with flying colors! Fantastic experience: The gentleman at Career Tech made getting my class A CDL a breeze! Evan was my teacher for the week, he was brutally honest but full of great information. I would highly recommend using them for any class of driver license you wish to obtain. I called almost every school in the state of Florida and they were one of the most reasonably priced and fit my schedule perfectly. Fantastic experience: My company sent me here for the two week class to get my class A CDL, my instructor was Evan, and he did an amazing job he had a lot of people in class some were automatics, and me and couple other guys were doing the manual transmission, he always made sure he had enough time for everyone to get practice in, and made sure everyone was understanding what he was explaining during the pre trip inspections, I had a couple times were other instructors, pulled a couple of us away just to give us extra time and more in depth explanation on pre trips and what to look for. Everyone there was very helpful, I had jimmy do my two driving evaluations and while out on the road he really explained a lot, I have a background of driving trucks and everyone there still had new knowledge for me to take in. My company paid for the two weeks but I completed it in a week, and felt fully comfortable doing it in the short amount of time. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend career tech all class driving if you’re looking to get your CDL or any other licensing.

Fantastic experience: As a Disney Bus driver I was sent to Career Tech LLC back in April this year to get trained for my CDL Class B license, my group and I were here for two weeks and we had the best time and experience at this place during our training. The instructors team, Kris, Jimmy and Dale are the best, very professional and may sound impossible, but they know how to make you a good bus driver in just 10 days and get you ready for the DOT exam. I have not enough words to describe my appreciation to this entire drivers school, everyone from the owners, staff members most of them military veterans and everyone working at this place are truly amazing and dedicated to their tasks and they treat all students like family from day one. If you are looking for a place to learn how to drive or get your CDL for trucks, Buses or Big Vans this is the place to go. Once again thank you Career Tech for all your hard work and will recommend you to everyone a ☑️

Fantastic experience: I could never say enough in this review to express or share my experience at Career Tech. I arrived at Career Tech afraid, unsure, and intrigued. I felt that it would take some sort of miracle for me to pass a state test and become a trucker. Being introduced to Gerald, Gary, Chris, Jimmy, Todd and Shaun were the best things that could have happened to me. Everyone ensured me that they were there to support me on my journey. My weeks of training were superb. There’s no way that you shouldn’t pass the state test with this group of fellas. I must admit that I cried a couple times during my journey, but they never gave up on me. Yesterday, I passed my state test. I did something that seemed impossible because Gerald, Gary, Chris, Jimmy, Todd and Shaun saw something that I didn’t see in myself. I arrived alone, I left with new family members. Fantastic experience: My experience was nothing short of amazing. Class A permit holder, absolutely ZERO commercial driving experience, and honestly I had no clue there were so much that went into driving tractor trailers. I wasn’t perfect on day one but by day 15 (week3) I was with out a doubt ready for the state test! Keep in mind my class started during the winter break (12/19/22) so I was unable to have as much interaction with the staff as I hoped due to vacations and people getting sick (weather was not on our side) but the time spent Mark “theStar”, Gerald “theVet”, Todd “theVoice”, and last but not least Gary “GarBear” was absolutely instrumental to my success. The curriculum was to the point (lots of self study/repetition) and practicing the maneuvers was an enjoyable experience (lots of extra time for practice with no new classes rolling in until our 3rd week). Stop searching you have stumbled upon an excellent place to learn and development you driving skills. I HIGHLY recommend Career Tech to be your school of choice!

Fantastic experience: A+ school with A++ teachers. Hopefully for everyone there the same teachers will be there for a very long time. This place will mold you into a trucker. HARD LEFT... To any teachers or employees in general reading this, because it matters and came up during my time there and no one including myself could figure out. if a student is showing a suspended license make sure to ask them if they just didn't 'renew' their license at some point. In Florida, when you don't renew your license it goes down as a suspension and that's not the type of suspension they're worried about. I found that fact out a year later after going to school here.

Fantastic experience: An amazing place, with amazing people. I had lost my CDL license due to an accident. Imagine after 34 years not having a cdl. After my recovery, three and and a half years I ater I wanted to get it back. Went to Career Tech not knowing what to find. When I got my license I did it on my own. First time going to school. That didn't bother me. I humbled myself and listen to them.Evan, Ken, Glenn were extremely helpful. I got my license back and now I'm looking for something to do. Thank you guys. God bless.

Fantastic experience: WOW! My experience here far exceeded my expectations. I went here to complete my final state testing. Day 1 of 2, Evan walked me through everything that I would need to be successful on test day. I learned a wealth of information and felt fully prepared for my final test. Day 2 of 2, the employees took time to answer additional questions I had prior to my test. The state examiner was on time, polite and patient. I was not rushed and he gave clear instructions. I PASSED! I WISH I went to Career Tech for the CDL school portion. Instead I went to a cheap place near Orlando airport. This other school was small, trucks were always broken down and it was very frustrating. I know for a fact that I would be a better driver if I would have done my CDL school portion at Career Tech. MY ADVICE, GO HERE FOR YOUR CDL SCHOOL and FINAL STATE EXAM. Also, if you can not go here for any reason, ALWAYS ask the CDL school if they have the state testing on site. This is a big advantage with Career Tech.

Positive experience: Besides waiting for a turn its a great school just if you are using gi bill just make sure you tell them you will be in school for three weeks for bah

Negative experience: I've tried reaching out. I have left my info on the website and called but the extension for someone in testing his mailbox is full.

Fantastic experience: Great school, all the instructors are awesome, if you are motivated and can learn and retain information well, you will get all the knowledge and experience you need to pass the exams and get your CDL.

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate to land here, and have Jimmy and Mark as my instructors. They pushed me to learn what I needed, and did so with both professionalism and humor. I will never forget how to pre-trip a bus, and Jimmy's driving tips will always be in my ear! I've heard horror stories about some of the Orlando area driving schools, yet these folks couldn't have been nicer. As a plus, thanks to Jimmy, I now know a bunch of new restaurants to try in the Lakeland area!
