Fantastic experience: I recently moved to the USA (San Diego) from a country where I did have a drivers license, but drove on the other side of the road. My license was not transferrable so I needed to do a behind the wheel test to get a US driver’s licence. I was little intimidated, so I decided to seek out some lessons from a driving instructor. I read these reviews of David here on google and he sounded great. And he WAS! David immediately put me at ease from the get-go, coached me on the road laws of the USA, ones that were specific to California, and gave some great tips and advice for defensive driving in an area where drivers are known for being a bit reckless. He helped prepare me for my test, and I felt confident going into it, and passed! I’d highly recommend David to any student driver or driver looking to build their confidence. 5 stars, I’d give 10 if I could!

Fantastic experience: Took three lesson with David Jacobson and felt very confident at the end of each of these lesson. He was a great instructor, very kind and took time to answer any and all questions I had.

Negative experience: I wanted to bring to your attention a concerning incident involving one of your instructors. On October 28th, around 3:40 pm, I was driving south on West Valley Parkway, just south of Citricado Parkway, when your vehicle (with a male driver, beard, and glasses) aggressively blocked me from merging into the lane. As the lane was ending, the driver intentionally prevented me from merging into the single lane, forcing me into the adjacent bike lane to avoid a collision. This behavior was not only reckless (per CVC 23103) but also dangerous. Such conduct is particularly alarming coming from a driving instructor, as it sets a poor example for students. I understand your vehicles record continuously, so I encourage you to review the footage from that time. This could serve as a teaching opportunity for your students on what safe, courteous driving should look like.

Fantastic experience: Just had my behind-the-wheel test last September 2024 and I PASSED on my first try! Thanks to Cantor’s Driving School for providing me a fruitful experience and for equipping me with helpful driving tips and knowledge. All the staff were so accommodating, kind, and responsive every time I have an inquiry. I want also to personally thank and highly recommend my ever competent teacher Steve Verret for patiently teaching me (I was difficult to handle because it’s my first time driving haha) and selflessly sharing his techniques and knowledge about safe driving. I can say he is the best teacher as he will get you through all the basic and crucial areas of driving. Aside from that, he will also re-enact with you the actual process of how the actual behind-the-wheel test is being done at DMV which for me is very much helpful as it will give you an idea on what you should need to know, prepare, and answer when you are ready to get your license. He is the best teacher indeed. All in all, Cantor’s DS is the best choice if you want to learn how to drive and be a good driver, and I am proud to say that I am a product of Cantor’s Driving School who is now a responsible licensed driver.

Negative experience: I recently called to purchase a bundle of eight classes, and I was quite excited about the prospect. However, I had some questions regarding dates and availability. Unfortunately, Jamie, who took my call, was notably rude and dismissive in her responses. Her demeanor was unprofessional, and as a result, I am no longer interested in purchasing the bundle. I am disappointed that the only means of communication with your organization is through phone calls, and I wish there were better-trained staff to handle such inquiries. Overall, this was a very negative experience.

Fantastic experience: Found the great reviews for Cantor's online so called in a few weeks ago. Helpful chat with one of their team members and decided to do the 5 lesson/10 hour package. Easy ability to setup an online account and self schedule the appointments based on our availability. Did 3 appointments within a 4 day window to quickly get my son to his 6 hours. Lessons were all with Jared and he was great! Super nice, and my son felt very comfortable with him, the lesson approach, and driving. Will use last 2 appointments closer to DMV test day. Fantastic experience: This was a great experience for me. My instructor was Greg Hargis and he did a great job teaching me how to drive. Before these lessons, I have never been behind the wheel so I was nervous at first. Greg did a great job calming my nerves and teaching me to be a better driver.

Fantastic experience: Steve Verret was my driving instructor. Great driving instructor. Taught me tons of super useful driving tips like how to parallel park, parking in spaces perfectly and reversing straight back against a curb. He answered all of my questions and knows the law very well! I recommend him to 3 of my friends after the first lesson because he was so amazing! Super nice instructor and makes me feel a lot better about driving and helped me become more comfortable! He does great acting for when you want to do a practice test for your license! 10/10 recommend Steve!

Fantastic experience: David Jacobson was a fantastic instructor. From day one I felt very comfortable behind the wheel. His instructions were clear and very informative. I got better after each lesson! In the span of only two lessons I was confident enough to drive on the freeway! In four lessons I was even more comfortable with my lane changes, turning, and overall driving. I would 100% recommend choosing David as an instructor. A very swell guy who is informative, outgoing and experienced.

I had a month in order to get my license, and Cantor's really helped me get up to speed. In total I took 6 lessons with Dave, Bethany and Veronica. They were honestly all great, way better than any of the teachers I tried in my teenage years! I would heartily recommend Cantor's to adults and teens alike :)

Fantastic experience: I had several driving lessons with Veronica R. and every lesson went absolutely fantastic. As an adult re-learning to drive there was definitely a nervous start since I haven't been behind the wheel in a very long time, but Veronica made the process easy and not intimidating at all. After the first lesson I was already able to handle basic situations, and I was able to be pretty comfortable driving on the highway as well as in busy traffic by the end. She offered a lot of useful advice, including practical advice that helps you drive better and not just pass the test! I felt totally safe driving around despite not being too familiar with the area, and we were never too late/early with the lessons. Would definitely recommend Veronica to anyone looking to learn or improve their driving!
