Fantastic experience: I just passed my road test first try going through Universe Driving school. My main instructors, Chris and Kemerlin were both extremely knowledgeable and patient instructors. I felt very comfortable asking them even the simplest of driving questions and felt beyond ready when it came time to take the test. I cannot recommend them enough!

Negative experience: Makes you pay upfront and will not communicate. Had to request a refund which took a lot of my time and energy. Highly unprofessional - do not go here.

Positive experience: I had prior driving experience, so I took two classes with Christopher and two classes with Kermlin before my driving test. Both Chris and Kermlin are excellent instructors—patient, supportive, and very knowledgeable. While they are quite busy and could improve their communication when scheduling practice sessions, their instructions during the practice sessions were helpful. They provided valuable tips and insights on what to expect during the test and answered all my questions thoroughly. The best part was their ability to schedule my test quickly, even with only three weeks to prepare. Thanks to their guidance, I felt confident and well-prepared, passing my driving test on the first try. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I had my step son do driving school but made a mistake of putting him on this one. Just be prepared to get ghosted by the instructors after paying full upfront. they teach you a few hours and they will consider it a job done then ghost you after. Demand a refund and they will stop ghosting you but dont give them another chance if they ask, they will probably ghost you and leave with the money. I actually had to call the cops because of how this driving school did not professionally provide the services they said would give me after paying like $700 upfront, but its something you would have deal with in court which i would’ve gladly done. they will tell you to contact this and that person if the instructor is “busy” but they’ll ghost you once they cash our money unless you demand it back. remember if they ghost you, FORCE and DEMAND them back for your refund

Negative experience: The service is absolutely horrible and a complete waste of time. You'll spend hours driving straight, turning left or right, only to be met with instructors who seem more interested in their personal phone conversations than assisting you. To make matters worse, when you try to contact them to schedule for your next lesson, they ignore your calls and texts entirely. They will also canceled on you last minute with a false excuse. It's beyond unprofessional and frustrating, leaving you with the feeling that your time and concerns mean nothing to them. They will also disappear after a few hours of driving with you, this driving school is a scam!

Fantastic experience: I recommend this driving school, I booked 10 lessons and had a great experience, my instructor was Chris and he nailed everything down, he was patient and helped me prep and pass the test with ease. Overall I’ve had a great experience with this school.

Negative experience: instructors should be a concern for this school based off how they supervise their students while driving. these people are not professional at all and will make u pay $600-$700 upfront and then ghost u after a couple hours of driving lessons with them. they bring up dumb excuses of how they cant schedule for the time being or they will not just answer you at all. you will go through ww2 just to get them to text you back. it seems like they only respond when money is involved for example, asking for a refund

Negative experience: horrible service. u will waste your hours just to drive straight and turn this and that while all they do is talk on the phone. but when u try to contact them, they will not answer your call or text. i demanded a refund and i did not receive it. i also only did 4 hours out of the 10. they straight up ghosted me after 4 hours. i do not recommend this and i need them to give me my money back asap.

Negative experience: Highly do not recommend this driving school. Not great at communicating at all. 99% of the time they fail to pick up their phone and call/text you back. I have had multiple scheduled road lessons "canceled" because the instructors did not get me or contact me. Wasted my time.

Negative experience: I’m absolutely furious to see that Chris is highly rated as an instructor here. He is completely unprofessional when it comes to both time management and teaching. During the week of my driving test, he was uncommunicative. I had to chase him down about my last few lessons that he missed, and he didn’t bother reaching out to me. Then, when he finally responded, he claimed he hadn’t booked my driving test, even though he had known for weeks that it was supposed to be scheduled for that date. I was beyond angry. When I asked for a reschedule, I STILL had to hound him about it. He was completely unapologetic. Only after I demanded a refund did he suddenly try to schedule a new test date—and even then, I had to chase him down for an answer. He didn’t even attempt to reschedule my final 3 classes or the test unless I contacted him multiple times. This guy is a scam. I’ve requested a refund, and he has yet to return my money. I absolutely do NOT recommend this driving school or Chris to anyone. He is also always on a call during the lesson. He does not prep you for the test. Look elsewhere.

Negative experience: I’m a bit surprised to see so many 5 star reviews. I scheduled a lesson and was never picked up for the confirmed day and time. Did not receive any kind of heads up. I tried to reschedule and was never successful getting a response from the instructor despite multiple attempts.

Fantastic experience: When I chose this school I did it based on the reviews, so I hope this helps someone. I took the course with Chris and he is an excellent teacher, thanks to him I passed the exam on the first try. I highly recommend this teacher, he is very patient and very kind. He is the best in there.

He was very professional, kind and very patient. He thought me the right things and I felt so comfortable to take the test by the end of my classes. I did pass my test with Christopher and with his advice and good guidance I got the driving license from the first road test. I highly recommend Christopher as he is just awesome, patient and truly cares about your success.

Negative experience: I have had the worst experience with this school. My first instructor (who was good) left, I was forced to change instructors three times which cost me three lessons (and money) wasted. The driving school instructor did not inform me of the requirements for the road test even when I asked and we was late on the day of the test (where I had to take a class for two hours before the test) He did take the entire fees for the test and sponsoring the road test (which I failed) Usually, the driving school schedules the next test but he asked me to do that on my own and went MIA after that. Extremely unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Cheniel Sir accommodated me at a very short notice with just 4 days left for my road test. I took 2 hours of lessons from him and he clarified many of my doubts and queries patiently. I passed my road test! I would recommend Universe Driving School!

Fantastic experience: Where can I begin? He’s one of the best people you’ll ever meet. As an instructor he’s very patient and very respectful in correcting you. My only regret is not going with him from the beginning! I went to a different driving school and I didn’t feel confident but with Chiniel I felt so confident and passed my road test the first time. Negative experience: Nasty treatment. Almost impossible to make an appoinment behing wheel. The guy always says he is busy to check any open class and that he will call you back... he never does. You call them and he says he is in a important meeting and can't talk and will call you back in a hour or so... he never does. And like that they keep wasting your time. If you really wanna get a class behind wheel go to a different driving school because here they will just waste your time.

Fantastic experience: Passed my road test on my 1st try and would like to thank Chiniel and Jonathan for being a huge help. Chiniel was able to arrange an early road test date that worked best for me. And on the practice session, as I’m an experienced driver, Jonathan focused on areas most important to make right. They were accommodating, patient, and provided better communication compared to other schools I contacted. Though we ran out of time for a final practice on the actual day (someone in the group forgot his paper so we had to make an extra trip), I would still say doing a practice session the day before (which I did) or on the day of the test makes a difference. Shout out too to John for the last minute tip.

Positive experience: Jonathan was great! I took 10 classes with him and passed my test on the first try. The only reason I knocked two stars off is because the day of the test was absolutely brutal. I knew that it was a group test but I definitely did not expect over 25 people at the location and just one examiner. The RMV location in Lynn does not have a physical office and we had to wait on a sidewalk for 3 hours in 40 degree weather on a very windy day. I got sick right after the test and the waiting game does not help with the anxiety at all. The only advantage of paying the $180 for the test with the school was that the examiner gave me a hard time over some mistakes but Jonathan vouched for me and told him that is just nerves. I still would not recommend taking the test with the school. It was not worth the hassle or the money. Keep in mind you will have to pay the RMV $85 on top of the $180

Fantastic experience: This is the second driving school I went to and I wish I had found universe driving before! I had such bad driving anxiety (and honestly am still a little nervous). However, Chinel and John helped build my confidence as a driver in only a few lessons. I passed my road test on my first try in Lynn yesterday and I’m so happy and greatful! These guys are great. Very patient, kind, and helpful. If you are a new and/or nervous driver I really recommend them.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional business. Instructor stays on phone and just makes ppl drive in a straight line. No compromise with appointments whatsoever, always late and uses the time paid to give rides to people. No feedback on anything and no instructions on anything. Waste of money to be honest

Negative experience: 1/20/21: Awful experience--I have never interacted with a more unprofessional business. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS SCHOOL. First, the instructor is obviously sexist, with a preference toward female drivers. During my session, the instructor was on the phone arguing with someone 95% of the time---literally did not address me or my needs for nearly all of the session. He had another student driver in the back and had me drive to her house, drop her off and then drive back to the school. After this experience, I went to another school and went to take 10 classes with them. At this point, I was experienced and felt confident to take the road test. Unfortunately, due to COVID and the holidays, my new school was unable to schedule a road test in the coming weeks (we were looking at a month+). As such, hesitantly, I decided to call the only other school I interacted with (Universe Driving School) and requested a road test.On test day, I was told to come at 8AM, and when I did, I saw 17 other students there waiting for their road test. I waited outside in the freezing cold for 2.5 hours (literally did not start my test until 10:30AM--mind you, I was there at 8AM). Throughout the hours, I saw student after student-driver return from their test within 8 minutes with a sad expression, sharing news that they failed. In fact, the more we waited, the higher number of students that failed the test. Finally, when it came time for my turn, the RMV personnel took a smoke break and went to smoke for at least 5-7 minutes. At this point, my feet and arms were frozen, my skin red because of the extended exposure to the cold (I actually later developed hypothermia because of the wait). Still, I was ready to take my test. When I entered, the RMV guy smelled like smoke and he was very rude. Immediately I noticed a fake sense of grandeur from this guy--he later suggested he had discretion to fail anybody. Before I started, I needed to stay still in the car to unfreeze, as I was still completely frozen and my feet hurt because of it. However, the instructor rushed me and disregarded my physical state. We then went on to drive. Because I was still cold, I had to adjust the amount of pressure I put on the gas and brake--in doing so, I started going slowly to properly adjust. However, the instructor took this as an inability to drive at a reasonable rate per hour (even after I indicated that I was still frozen from waiting 2.5 hours). He didn't care. We then drove toward a stop sign, at which point I made a brief stop, checked my sides to ensure there wasn't ongoing traffic, and then moved forward. This all happened very fast (as any experienced driver knows can often feel that way). However, the RMV guy said I didn't stop and decided to conclude the test because of it. He gave me a fail and went on to argue with me about what he claimed I didn't do (despite my insisting that I did stop). Finally, I asked the instructor what he suggested I practice on--apart from what he claims I didn't do. He refused to provide feedback, and I ultimately left upset, realizing that the instructor truly didn't care about student feelings. This was such a horrible and disgusting experience and I'm beyond appalled. All of this, and the school still charged me $170 for everything (even though I informed them that I paid for the road test directly with the RMV and should only pay the difference with the driving school--which they refused to look into ). This school only cares about money and everyone associated with them is a terrible worker. I don't recommend anyone to come to this school or to take the RMV test here. I'm launching a complaint with the RMV as well to look into the RMV personnel as, in light of the rules of conduct on the website, he clearly violated a number of them. I encourage everyone with a terrible experience with this school and the RMV personnel to do the same (the school refused to share his name--white skinny tall dude , smells like smoke).

Fantastic experience: He would walk me through steps I needed to pass the road test. I wouldn’t have pass without him. I would recommend him if you want to pass the road test you should go to him.

Negative experience: Jean is a terrible instructor. He doesn’t reply to set up lessons and he shows up to appointments sick. He sets up road tests before people are ready and then asks for money when you fail. Doesn’t show you proper driving skills and over books himself to make the most profit. Would not recommend.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I paid for 10 classes and in the end I got 7. Only the first class was in the afternoon and the rest were at night, even though I told the instructor that I start working at 5 am. He was making calls and receiving text messages most of he time. After the first 5 classes he scheduled the road test (I spent more than a month without receiving classes) he promised to give me the last 5 classes before the road test and he only gave me 2 !!! I failed the test, and since October 14th I have contacted him to get my last 3 classes and nothing !!!!

Fantastic experience: I have passed my Road text!! Thanks to Jean and cinnel!! Both you guys are professional and patient. You teaches all strategies to get a licence and become a safe and responsible driver!! I recommend universe driving to all new drivers!!!!

Negative experience: The instructor I got was not very professional like at all. He said he needed to get his car fixed so I waited but he never messaged or called me back to give me an estimated time on when can we schedule my next driving lesson. During the lessons I got, he was always on the phone talking, doesn’t give advice. I expected this part since driving takes practice and depends on whether the driver can grasp the concept of driving and controlling the wheel, but the instructor I got never gave tips/advices on my driving. I can’t tell if my driving can pass my road test or not. I’m also aware that not all instructors are like this, but this is my review on the instructor I got from this driving school.
