Fantastic experience: I’m a undergraduate college student and I was able to pass the driving exam first try this summer. It’s something that couldn’t be possible without Joy Driving School by my side. In a span of about a month, I was able to have exponential growth in my driving skill thanks to exposure on various roads and environments. 친절한 선생님 덕분에 저 포함한 4식구 가족이다 면혀증을 땄어요. 감사합니다

Fantastic experience: I learned to drive here for the first time and simultaneously passed all the suitable lessons from the teachers. How can a teacher always say only good things in class? Teachers must give suitable lessons by giving them a carrot and a stick. In many comments, there are some cases where they say something the teacher is teaching so hardly. If you learn or do something wrong with driving, it hurts me and many others. So, teachers should be fully understood when teaching students strictly. Even though the teacher taught me strictly and said many things, I could pass because of my teacher's teaching and strictness. If you are taught through this academy, the driving test will be easier than the teacher's driving guidance. And if you don't want to hear the teachers' hateful words, go to another academy. So if you want to learn something wrong that you may pass at once, waste time and have a wrong driving habit. 마지막으로 선생님들께 너무 잘 가르쳐주시고 저를 위해서 쓴소리도 해주셔서 한번에 합격할 수 있게 해주셔서 감사합니다. 그럼 부디 잘 지내시고, 운전하는 것에 있어서 부족한게 있어서 한번 더 찾아뵐게요.

Negative experience: I had a great first class experience with Peter but Kenny became my instructor because his schedule aligned with mine in the morning and it went downhill from there. I had high hopes after reading the reviews and having Peter as my instructor but Kenny was pretty aggressive with me. He took the wheel from me on several occasions and seemed aggravated with me most of the time which highly contributed to my lack of confidence in driving. I ended up failing my road test and ended up going to another instructor who was a 180 and took the time to break down what I needed to improve on (and showed me how) instead of just commanding me to do things. To Kenny's credit, I appreciated that he drove to me for my lessons in the early morning but it was not worth the $40 for a 45 min (sometimes even less) lesson.

Fantastic experience: I had a lovely experience with my teacher. He gave me practical tips and focused on my weak points, offering different ways to improve them. Thank you for helping me pass the test so easily! Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I should have read some old one star reviews before i even call. They seems nice but only for Korean speaking people. The people i spoke with speak very poor English which i do not mind. However when i request to provide me a good English speaking teacher for the driving lessons as i do not know Korean at all, they told me they are not an English school so they could not help me. They do not even understand my question. If you do not understand Korean, i think this is not the place. I just came across some reviews from others with one star who encountered the same issue of non English speaking.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my road test on my first try thanks to Instructor Kenny Jeon. I signed up at Joy Driving School with their package that included 5 lessons along with everything else required for the road test. The packages they offered made everything hassle free, affordable, and easily accommodated to your schedule. Instructor Kenny was very kind and professional. I found his calmness helpful during the lessons. He gave clear instructions and if I was not grasping a concept, he would go as far as drawing it out for me. Everything he covers is exactly what you need to know in order to pass the road test. My 4th and 5th lessons were scheduled a day prior and the day of the test. This helped scare away the testing jitters and made me feel comfortable right before the test. The entire process from start to end was roughly 2 weeks. Highly recommend this driving school for their attention to detail and making learning how to drive enjoyable.

Negative experience: It is so hard to contact with the people, and they never get back to you for scheduling a practice. The instructors are either rude and laid back or too uptight and controlling. They have no patience with students. Won't be going back to this place ever again.

Fantastic experience: 97년 첫 면허부터 군시절 1호차 운전병 경력까지 있었으나 첫 응시에서 떨어진건 순전히 감독관이랑 안 맞았다는 핑계 아닌 핑계를 지니고 있다가, 두번째 응시 바로 전에 딱 한시간 쪽집계 과외식으로 연수 받고 차 빌려서 응시 해서 합격 했습니다. 저 뿐 아니라 적당한 운전경력의 제 아내도 본 학원 쌤에게 연수 두어시간 후에 엄청 긴장 한 상태지만 첫 응시에 합격했습니다. ^^* 친절 하신부분은 차치하고 일단 실력, 운전을 잘 하는것과 별개로 시험을 위한 가르침의 실력이 출중하시기에 가능 했던것 같습니다. 운전 경력의 장단유무를 떠나 시험 전엔 꼭 연수 받기를 추천 드리고 조이 운전학원 추천 합니다.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was very patient, always explaining everything very thoroughly and clearly. Our lessons were always an hour long and he'd pick me up from my house and drop me off at the end. He was also very accommodating to my schedule making it easy to meet on a weekly basis. We had one final lesson an hour before my road test which I believed helped me pass on the first try. Overall I have had a very positive experience with Joy Driving School.

Negative experience: I had driver kenny and he was terrible. he had limited english so i didnt know what he meant half the time and if you ask questions of clarification, he gives you attitude and treats you like you are stupid. there were many instances where he would ask me petty questions like "are you still asleep?" or "are you thinking straight?". I dont blame him for me failing my test (i just came back from a long vacation and had no time to practice before the test), but he definitely made me hate driving. he made it very apparent that he did not want to teach me. there were also many times where he would answer his phone mid test and use hand motions to teach instead of speaking to me. i would HIGHLY request a different teacher if you plan on attending this driving school!!

He gave me feedback in real-time during each lesson so I could fix my mistakes on the next try. I was initially nervous about driving, but he was encouraging and made me feel confident.

Positive experience: Not too bad of a driving school. But I would never recommend this place. My instruction, Kenny, never failed to make me feel pressured about my driving. I was a brand new driver so there was a lot to learn. He always got frustrated with me very easily and wasn’t too polite. They even tried to get more money out of me by encouraging me to take more classes that I didn’t need. On the day of my road test, Kenny had told me that I failed and wasn’t going to get my license. I cried. I was very upset but Ofcourse I had to wait a few hours for the real results. I ended up passing on my first try…. I found that extremely unprofessional. How dare he tell me I failed… very upsetting considering I payed a lot of money here. Overall I give this place 3 stars because he actually did teach me how to drive. He just could’ve done a better job with his attitude.

Fantastic experience: Great school for anyone that has no experience with driving. The first instructor I was paired with was great and an excellent teacher, unfortunately our schedules were too different to have good consistent lessons. Thankfully, Mr. Han stepped in and took over the remaining lessons and got me ready for the road test which I was able to pass on the firs try. Can't recommend enough for anyone that's nervous about driving and has little to no experience

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Kenny and I took 13 lessons and passed the road test in my first attempt. I practiced outside of the classes too, but the classes left me well equipped for the road test. Kenny helped me practice everything that was on the road test over and over so by the time I took the test there were no surprises. He gave helpful tips on what I can improve on in every lesson and is very friendly and patient. Will definitely continue taking main road/highway lessons with him and highly recommend for anyone in the area to take lessons with him!
