From receiving information all the way through training I was involved with trainers and staff that were concerned with trainees meeting the ultimate goal of becoming competent CDL holders. God open my eyes to be patient stop being hard on myself and trust in him. I meet different instructors which are amazing they are there for you all the way. Negative experience: Disqualify me didn’t tell me why they just took my money never gave me a chance if they don’t like you, you won’t get into the school sounds great but it’s not really. They where very nasty and discriminatory toward me once I had concerns about my future with road master . You get what you pay for and the school as well as staff are cheap for a reason . I recommend swift or Obtaining your cdl on your own. This is the review they won’t tell you about. You are Officially warned!

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my experience coming to Roadmaster. It’s one of the best investments I could’ve ever made. Besides the sun tan i experienced on the daily, the course was very informative and the instructors were extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it came down to backing and trucking skills. I always enjoy learning about others’ experience OTR or just different jobs in the city. If you want a new career that interchangeable, get yourself a CDL license and change your life one job at a time. I would highly recommend someone coming here to get their CDL or just obtain knowledge for driving a commercial trailer.

Positive experience: Kind of long but worth the read. School is great overall, and if you're attending for reasons other than making more money, it's worth it. If you don't see this as a lifestyle change, rethink attending. They help with job placement for life if you graduate! The folks in admissions are pleasant and helpful. Tim is cool and goofy, just don't be late! We had Joel in the classroom for the first week. He makes it fun and engaging to keep students awake, haha. If you have issues learning, or whatever, sit in the front. Christie for the second week is awesome and helpful. Just make sure you're practicing. Ben and John the third week and forward will walk you through maneuvers step-by-step, which is necessary and pay attention! Jeremy and Alan are good afterwards because they let you mess up and figure it out. If you ask for assistance, they will walk you through it as well. I only experienced Alecia (sp?) and Jason on the road. Jason taunts people but is a good instructor. Alisha is fairly quiet but will chat with you. I didn't have Jeff a.k.a. Curly but was told he's a great instructor as well, just likes to talk. All three smoke, not in the truck, but when you're supposed to get a full one hour drive, they end up being about 40 min so they can smoke when it's time to switch drivers. If you ride with the state guys, Mike or Kenny, they're cool but can't answer too many questions because they are the state testers. If you do ride with one on road drives, you will test with the other should you evaluate out of everything else. Now, they have a ramada setup with a small table and chairs out there on the driving pads, but a couple of them are shared with two or more pads, so it can be crowded. The water provided in the cooler is hose water with ice and tastes disgusting. To each their own on that, but if you're super thirsty and don't want to walk to the buildings, you'll drink it. You will be outside no matter the weather unless there is lightening, which is the only time I saw everyone come off the pads other than break times. I wish they had the ramada on each pad or some type of bleacher seating in the grass area with coverage so we weren't burning up and standing all day... literally. Cover with LIGHT COLORED clothing to keep cool, and I recommend either a UV umbrella or cooling towel or both. Sunscreen is a must if you're in the hotter months, and don't use anything with petroleum because it will clog your pores. Be careful what you and others share as the instructors, mostly the road drive ones, give different information and some of it is irrelevant to the state test. We definitely helped each other out as much as we could, but in sharing things that we were informed found out there were too many variables that did not match up. They wouldn't let us take any pictures or video, but some students were on social media and taking their own breaks most of the time... so it is what it is.

Fantastic experience: I came to roadmaster in October of 2017. It was my very first time going for my CDLs and also stepping foot into a big rig. The instructors were great and very detailed. There was tough love given, but they just wanted you to get it. From the training that I received, I passed my pre-trip inspection, my maneuvering, and driving test with just three weeks training. My only let down is that I chose to go to Werner, and I never received a trainer to get on the road with. Also, I wasn’t allowed to work and go to school, so I had to come back home and make ends meet. I eventually let my licenses go because I wasn’t driving nor have I been back in a rig since 2018, but I praying and hoping that I will be allowed to return and get back on track. Shout out to the Millington, Tennessee location

The director Mr. Tim told me if I’m willing and wanting to learn his instructors will teach me how to read a trailer. Jeremy was my instructor. GOD thank you for Jeremy, I thought it was impossible but Jeremy worked and worked his hardest with me, he cared so much and when you have instructors like this you won’t give up. I Passed!! Positive experience: I want to start by saying the best part about me attending this school was obtaining my CDL. The school have great instructors on the pads outside. I want to personally thank Jeff(office), Lemarcus, Jeremy & Mr.John for all their help. If it wasn’t for their positivity & drive to ensure I get what I came for I probably would have dropped out my 2nd week in. The heat was unbearable my 2nd week & we wasn’t allowed to sit down nor was water placed outside to accommodate us until mid my 2nd week. They have too many students to 1 instructor. How can you expect students to get enough training when it’s almost 8 students to 1 instructor on top of the instructor having to eval 3 of them out by end of day. So many instances unjustifiable. Tim in the office need empathy training because if you have to miss a day his exact words are you can’t return without an excuse, I need for him to at least act like he have a heart everybody don’t miss days just because. Act concerned just a little even if you’re not. I didn’t like the tone or environment of this school but it’s crazy how they have some of the best instructors you will ever meet that stay so positive. I just thank God I survived this boot camp & if i had to do it over again I WOULDN’T! But good luck to everyone who’s enrolled or decide to enroll.

Negative experience: Paul Sharman need to be fired He is not for the Students only for they money you can't be late not one time or you will be dropped they need more staff and students only get in the truck 20 mins out off 9 hours of standing outside they talk to Students like we are Children and and not adults if you bring anything to there attention you will be dropped there are better schools to attend

Before I learned how to read my trailer I wanted to give up because it seemed so hard. Once I was put with Lamarcus, he identified my problem and helped me fix it by breaking down the importance of me reading my trailer. I’m very thankful. Positive experience: Please get more instructors not just more students If students are ready don’t hold them back due to earlier students not being ready or consistently failing tests.remember that the students are grown not children and everyone learns differently some instructors need to work on their attitudes and remember to be encouraging negativity isn’t encouraging. Recruiters and office staff are amazing but instructors need to remember that their job is to instruct not watch u fail or make jokes. More time in the truck is needed remember that when bringing in more students and y’all could offer snacks we do pay a lot of money at least get some snacks some people spend their last just to attend

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Roadmaster for schooling to obtain your CDL’S. I was at the Millington Location. The instructors/testers are great and fun to work with. Very knowledgeable and encouraging, about the skill of driving. Some are a little stern and have their own way of instructing, at times. But, it’s for the greater good. They want the students to learn the skill to their best of their abilities. Majority of them want their students to pass, as much as the students. Not to forget the administrative team, Darsha was my enrollment advisor. All of them was very helpful and pleasant. They really cared about our success and progress. It was the best feeling I had in a long time, when I got my blue folder and rang that ! Lol
