Fantastic experience: I can't speak to the experiences that this place provides but I can speak to the professionalism, dedication and hard work of the administrative staff. My company has been catering with this location for a couple of months and I have been very impressed with the way they organize ordering and the way they think through the needs of their crew and their customers.

Fantastic experience: Great experience

Positive experience: The track itself is fun but needs resurfacing. The flaggers are terrible and the wrecking crew is not the fastest.

Positive experience: First off let me say that the MSR course is awesome. This review is mainly for the Xtreme Xperience. I had a lot of fun driving the super car however for over $400 dollars you get 3 laps ( 2.5 really) which is about 5 minutes of driving. You can spend another $280 dollars on site to go again but it is just not worth $100 dollars a lap! The staff was awesome and the car was awesome but by the time you get use to the car, the ride is over. I won't be doing it again becuase it just is not worth the money. IF they did 6 laps then yes but other than that then it is just a cash grab. I hope this review helps others on deciding if $400+ dollars is worth 5 minutes but driving.

Fantastic experience: Really good place

Fantastic experience: Karting there is always fun on a great outdoor track with fun turns and switchbacks to test our skills. Karts work well, and staff is attentive and helpful.

Fantastic experience: We come here for drifting with lone star drift and the track is great. It seems well taken care of and the staff is always friendly. I do wish they kept the ladies bathrooms a bit cleaner but they fairly clean. Always happy to come out to MSR.

Positive experience: Go karting is solid, the track is great and requires some skill. The staff were cool too, however not the safest. There were some questionable decisions made when rain started to appear, and also retrieval was done in an unsafe manner without proper flags being used/ other racers being alerted. I do wish they used scheduled slots since we spent more than half the day there just hoping to get a race on a busy day.

Positive experience: I can only speak about the go-kart side. It is a great time… the track could definitely use some love. Maybe not so much the track but there’s one turn where there’s a pretty large hole just off track where it’s not uncommon to hit. Equipment (helmets) and the go-karts are pretty dirty… definitely could use some love. It hasn’t rained that hard recently so you’d think there would have been plenty of time to clean them up by now. You obviously don’t want to put on a helmet that has dried mud on it. Kudos to the workers who run around on the side by side to retrieve you when you get stuck off track. They are great at responding quickly. The website where they say they send your finish times and scores… doesn’t work. Overall… great place. Probably the best in the Houston area from what I hear. But at the same time, definitely has some opportunities to improve.

Positive experience: Main track is very bumpy. Facilities need some maintenance and restrooms need to be cleaned daily!!! Webs all over the restroom!

Fantastic experience: Fun and fast karts. Yes some karts are faster than others but that’s a given no matter what karting place you go to. Truly get the most for your money considering it’s a longer track and you spend more than 5ish minutes on track like other karting facilities. Staff are awesome and quick to help those taking corners a little fast and end up in the dirt. Would extremely recommend going and experience racing karts with MSR. Will be going many more times to come for sure.

Negative experience: Starting the 2024 I had hope they improved the surface of the track but was disappointed to experience it being in worse shape than 2023. The current state of the track for motorcycle riders is very poor. I love the layout and would be willing to pay more for a better surface, they have these concrete repaired areas on the race line for the tight turns that I hate. New this year are more rough patches in the motorcycle race line, a rough line down the front straight as your heading toward the concrete wall, exiting the hot pit area they have giant potholes. It is so bad right now that I am reconsidering signing up for more track days when I can spend my money driving a little more for Eagles, G2, and COTA. I would love to say it is better but that wouldn't be honest. To the website, why can't I just find a track map, why am I seeing images of members areas and things that don't exist. I feel it is getting more dangerous not less, and I hope they publish a plan for repairing it. Our track school leader mentioned they had plans but gave no details, so I hope this is true and they get it done.

Negative experience: Did not matter try explained that they use flags to indicate how to proceed in the track underage drivers created a lot of wrecks or making the drivers pull out the track about the track need a lot of work is unsafe especially on some spots where there water puddles no seat belts on the karts

The karts are impressively fast, adding an extra thrill to the experience. Additionally, the quality of service is outstanding, with a smooth and efficient process from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun and fast-paced karting experience!

Fantastic experience: I brought my 12 year old twins out today, and the carts were really fast. We had a great time, and after reading some of the other reviews, I expected a different experience. All the employees were very accommodating, and I never saw anyone getting in trouble for reckless driving or anything like that. We will definitely be going back soon for the kids' birthday.

Fantastic experience: this track has progressively gotten better over the years and karting is also fun.

Negative experience: We were visiting Houston from out of state for our son’s 15th birthday. We paid $65 for an Uber to get down to MSR because his only request was to ride go karts (and we heard this is the best). We did not have to wait very long. Rules were explained to us (including ways you can get “black flagged”. Our son was about 5-7 minutes into his 1st session and he went off the track in a curve. As he pulled back out on the track we heard crew members yelling out his car number for a black flag. As he came around the track, a crew member stepped close to the track and pointed a black flag down at our son. He attempted to stop and find out why he was receiving the black flag and hit the plastic barrier. He was scoffed at and banned for the day. We still do not understand why they black flagged him in the 1st place. Running off the track was not listed in the list of black flag offenses. They refused to give our money back for our unused sessions and instead gave us a credit. $50 for 7 minutes of go carts and a birthday he won’t forget. We won’t be back and we don’t recommend MSR Houston.

Fantastic experience: Best experience for my friends and family, we showed up and the staff walked us through everything. Hernan one of the managers helped us calm down one of our more nervous members and made sure they had a great experience and felt safe. Thank MSR for making it a great experience.

Negative experience: Honestly, I really used to like going here, but today was not a great experience whatsoever. I had purchased 3-15 minute cart sessions, and I was only allowed three 10 minutes go karting sessions. They said they forgot to update the website. Frankly, I don't see how that's my issue. If I paid for three 15 minutes go karting sessions, that is what I deserved to get. The business owner didn't really care to hear. Also, the staff outside were a little unfriendly. I drove over an hour away just to have to deal with this. Ridiculous. If I could give less stars, I would.

Negative experience: Sadly this place is going downhill. Booked three 15min sessions online on their website the day before the visit. When I arrived, i was informed that sessions are only 10min now. I asked if I could do four 10min sessions (to get closer to 45min which I paid). However, they only honored three sessions at 10 minutes, which means they scammed me out of 15min of runtime. Additionally, the new karts are terrible. They are slower, they have smaller tires with less grip, and MSR is running the course in reverse now. Also, dipping a single tire off the track will get you a black flag / disqualification. This place is not fun anymore - bad business practices scamming people with online purchases, slow karts, and extremely strict track rules. No thank you. Edit after owners response: I did get a refund for the sessions. Thank you. I appreciate it, but this was not communicated at the track and would not have been necessary by simply allowing a fourth session. Regarding the karts: Thank you for calling me a noob - while I am certainly no pro, I race karts every week and have been to your track several times. I can definitely tell that the karts are slower and the smaller tires produce less grip. I also think you are trying to hide that by reversing the track, because it would not be possible to get to a similar lap time with the new karts. I did not go off track, I dipped a tire in the dirt once because of a slow kart I had to avoid. Anyway - thx for the refund but won’t be back.

Negative experience: Once you get to ride it becomes fun but until then it’s hell. We rode from Houston for over an hour drive. We arrived at 09:55 am Saturday morning sharp ready to roll, we signed up at the kiosk for the karts in less than 5 mins. After that they told us we would have to wait a little for a safety talk before the 3 sessions we paid for. We literally waited 2 hours and watched every one go in front of us even after asking the guy at the front desk repeatedly when will be our turn. They let us run at 12:00pm after we raised hell saying the reason why we delayed so much they had groups not booked but showed up together and complained they had places to go after. I would give a 0 star if I could for customer service. We were the first to sign and the last to ride. What a shame. Very disappointing experience.

Fantastic experience: Carts are a blast. We had an amazing time.

Negative experience: Went in the summer of 2022 had a great time, came back now in the summer of 2023 and was treated horribly. My brother, my friend, and I were all kicked out because we lost control of our karts on some difficult turns and went in the dirt momentarily. The summer before I ran off the track accidentally probably 8 times total- not a word said, this time I ran off the track twice and was asked to leave. Very poor customer service and very disappointing. Finally as we were leaving, some of the employees started yelling profane words and phrases at us, and one flashed a firearm at us. Very unprofessional and unfortunate scenario. Will never be coming back to this spot and will be telling friends and family the same.

Positive experience: Karts felt unbalanced, some were slower than others. Group of guys I went with, some of their carts had broke down including my own. Had fun still and races feel long. I'd come again for sure.

Negative experience: Talk about terrible customer service, spun out 2 times when I went go karting and was banned from driving the rest of the day, they don’t give refunds, don’t have seatbelts on the karts, completely unsafe, they started the day with 10 go karts and ended it with 5 because the other 5 weren’t working. All of the workers were vaping, and yet they let 9 year olds drive?? Used to be a really fun place, but they’ve gone down hill, don’t recommend, don’t go on a long drive there, there’s better places with the same style of karting but much better customer service.

Fantastic experience: I drove an hour and a half in the rain. A few family members did the same. We ate lunch in Angleton and got soaked running from the car to the restaurant. Less than 2 hours later I completed 3laps in a Porsche GT3. Rain and water were a non-issue. I wish I could do 30 laps. 3 laps is not enough. You rock " Extreme experience". I'll add some photos later. Driving the green GT3 on St Patty's Day is a recommended experience. Thanks for the memory.

I could not have asked for a better instructor! Steve was so helpful and patient with me and gave great instructions on how to improve my track skills. Positive experience: The track was amazing, but some karts literally had no breaks. Which made it extremely dangerous.

Positive experience: This was my first time here. Not my first time go-karting but, had a hard time driving in the heat and handling the shaky karts. (I'm a tiny person so, I had trouble turning the stiff wheel a lot.) Witnessed a kid who possibly was overheated from being outside and he had to go to the hospital. Quite sad and hope he's alright since it was his birthday. The staff handled it fairly quick and made sure the kid was okay. There was a long waiting queue for sessions. Since we (3 person party) got 3, 15 minutes sessions each, that came out a bit pricey and waited for an hour plus. I think the a/c is out in the upstairs area. It was overbearing to be upstairs in such heat; 84°F on the thermostat. Ladies' bathroom was out of soap but, overall decent area. There's 2 stalls and a shower in case you want to clean up afterwards. (Trust me, you will get DIRTY. Bring your own stuff to shower (soap, etc.) Other than that, had fun, tried my best and sufficed through my pain. might go again with a cooler full of ice cold water.

Fantastic experience: The place was really great. Great customer service and i had a really fun time. The karts go really fast, so if you come here for the first time. You might want to get a few sessions to get used to it.

Fantastic experience: The track is the best place to gain skills on your motorcycle. They have some really great instructors that love the sport. The vendors there are top notch. I had my new rear suspension set up while there this last weekend. Man what a difference that made in the handling and the ride quality. The tire just stuck to the track. Great time with RideSmart this weekend. Update. First track day weekend of this new season. They have made some changes and I am liking the structure. The instructors are top notch and really know their stuff. As I move up thru the levels there is always something new to learn and apply on the track. Thank you again to RideSmart.

Positive experience: This is largely in the eye of the beholder. You may like the track, or you may not. I prefer(red) the TWS.

Negative experience: MSR karting used to be really good but I guess they've not been paying attention to the quality of their karts. I drove five different cars today and four of them had either brake failure, next to no braking or the seat just gave way mid race and I came really close to crushing my hand due to sudden loss of balance mid turn. They have no safety barriers at the hairpin next to the pond, no seatbelts or any crew members out at different parts of the track Incase of emergencies. I know they were better than this and hopefully they take a hard look at the lack of safety standards on their track and in their karts.

Negative experience: This was our first time visiting MSR and I'm hesitant to return in the future. The man that was assisting at the front to check in prior to parking was extremely rude within less than 30 seconds of our conversation. I was very excited for my Xtreme Xperience drive until that point. His behaviors were less than socially acceptable, and unfortunately for myself he set the tone for my afternoon at MSR.

Negative experience: Here’s some truth… I would be willing and eager to spend significantly more money for a track day here but I refuse to until management properly cares for this track and customers and resurfaces it entirely. It looks 30 years old. Is this the best the city of Houston can do? It’s not only dangerous it’s not fun. It’s horrendously bumpy and falling apart. It’s hard on machines too. Jarring potholes and more awful patching. I understand it’s outrageously expensive but it must be done. Any country road is better than this unfortunately. Please fix it. Thank you.
