ROAD-READY Driver Training

Fantastic experience: After struggling with driving for over 15 years and never getting a driver's license, I turned to ROAD-READY for assistance. I didn't have regular access to a vehicle to practice, but at ROAD-READY I was given the opportunity to practice more often and with instructors who gave me quality feedback. Thanks to what I learned at ROAD-READY, I was able to get my first driver's license in November of 2024. Thank you ROAD-READY for your invaluable assistance in improving my ability to drive.

Fantastic experience: This was a great program for my teenage daughter.

Fantastic experience: We signed our son up for drivers education this summer. It was awesome! He really enjoyed his instructor. He was very good at teaching this class. Our son enjoyed it which says a lot when you have him take a class during the summer. We really appreciated the option of having him go to an in class instructor. It was so nice to have this class so he could not only learn but also have all his tests passed and know that as soon as he turns 16 he can get his license and start driving. He was learning and he was also bringing that information home and polishing up my driving at the same time. We would highly recommend road ready!

Fantastic experience: (Leah) Loved the experience! Purchased the adults program and it was awesome. What you learn in class is very informative, definitely more than any family member or friend would be when teching you how to drive. I would say it was worth it; I had a total of 12 hours of driving; the driving lessons did build my confidence and helped me understand things that I previously didn’t. Pros: - Different instructor every time. I wondered why it was necessary at first but it helps a lot when you get different tips from each instructor. - Driving lessons are very informative. All instructors are really nice and will help you practice all those things that you still need to improve on. Cons: - Each lesson is 1 hour. Even though it is nice to have a little talk about your driving before and after the lesson, you are not driving for a full hour and the lessons feel short. It would be nice to at least have the option to pay for 2 hours instead of 1. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely do it again.

Fantastic experience: I took road ready. Initially i thought i knew everything i needed too. I was not even close. I learned so much in the classroom and on the road. Honestly the teachers are so informative and extremely kind. I’m always looking in my intended path of travel! Thank you all so much. My confidence on the road with other drivers as well is so much better

Fantastic experience: I had Andy Link as a driver instructor for my test and he was amazing at explaining things that I did wrong or right so i could understand. He also was extremely nice to me and my parents and explained to them as well. Absolutely loved this driving school!

Fantastic experience: highly comprehensive class, i loved my teacher Mr.Kapinus, i had 3 other instructors during my practice drives and my test, all of which were very patient and knowledgable. definitely the best place to do your drivers education.

Fantastic experience: Skylar: (I can't send reviews on my phone, so I have to use my mom's) When I first heard that I was going to take road ready, I was not that excited. But now after taking the class I realized how fun it actually was. I also learned a lot more than I did before I did road ready. Mr. Kapinus does a great job teaching, and making the class very fun and enjoyable with lots of jokes and sarcasm. (He talks a lot about Wisconsin and brings donuts on the last day.)

Fantastic experience: Mr. Kapinus is the best teacher ever! He makes the course so entertaining and engaging. 25 hours of classroom time might sound daunting, but the lessons are full of jokes, interactive learning, and tons of Wisconsin fun facts. The in-vehicle driving lessons are also very engaging. The instructors are the best of the best, and are able to maximize instruction time, providing information on what to practice between lessons. I will never forget to look along my intended path of travel! PS: if you want cell phone service, put your phone near the water fountain pipe

Fantastic experience: I just graduated the classroom portion and I have a lot of good things to say. First of all, it’s an awesome place. It can be nervous at first but you quickly fall into a rhythm that’s easy to follow. Second of all, the instructors are super friendly and really know what they’re doing. They actually teach the material instead of just reading out loud from the book or slideshow. I had Mr. Kanara and Mr. Kapinus. They were both really cool teachers. Third of all, the driving instructors are extremely patient during the driving lessons and talk you through everything. I highly recommend Road Ready for anyone learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: My son was able to schedule his own driving times with instructors. Very thorough instruction. He drove with a variety of instructors for a well-rounded course.

Positive experience: All the instructors are nice, and the class was really helpful. Just know that if you plan on doing the remote version, each section has a timer that has to reach zero before you can move on. You will still have to wait for the class in that regard.

Fantastic experience: Learning from this place is really worth it. My first day I was very nervous if I was going to be ready to be on the driver side of the car. After that, every day in my class was very fun and productive. Got to meet many new people and laugh lots. Those two weeks flew by real quick and the methods that they teach us were very clear and made us realize of so many mistakes that we can avoid while driving. Now I practice with my parents and still take practice with road and ready. Me personally Road and Ready is 100% worth it!! Every parent wanting to sign up their kids should totally do it.

Fantastic experience: I went through this driving school this summer (2024) and had a good experience. We had an informed teacher and patient driving Instructors. They thoroughly go through driving principles, basic rules of the road and what to do in emergency situations. The teacher also made it engaging and interesting. If you are taking it during the summer, I recommend to book your driving lessons asap (come 20-30 min. before you class) You might learn a little about Wisconsin too! (If you have Mr. Kapinus)

Fantastic experience: Over this summer I took Road Ready and it was by far the best experience with driver's ed you can have. The instructor in class is funny and entertaining and keeps everyone engaged and the in car instructors were all incredible. They tell you when you do something wrong and tell you how to improve. One of the best Driver education places anywhere.

Positive experience: Great instructors! Very knowledgeable and great with the students! Make sure you give yourself time to sign up for driving slots, especially in the summer- that was the only downfall for the 4 stars!

Fantastic experience: My drivers ed experience recently was a blast! Our teacher Mr. Kapinus did a great job at entertaining our class and making it go by as quick as possible. The first time my parents told me that I was going to be taking this course I was disappointed and felt like I already knew everything about driving. After taking this course I didn’t know about all of the things that I would be missing out if my parents didn’t sign me up for this. The secretary always does a great job at arranging driving times for the students and staying on top of everything! I would highly recommend that you send your kid here and give it a try! (Mr. Kapinus even gave us doughnuts on the last day!)

Fantastic experience: The program helped me learn a lot and I feel like a much better driver after the two weeks in the classroom. Both the teach Mr. Kapinus and the secretary helped me a lot in learning and scheduling my drive appointments.

Fantastic experience: I had a really good time and learned a lot of really helpful tips for driving. The instructors are all very well spoken and knowledgeable, and they all tell really nice stories to help break the ice. The first day of classroom lessons were a bit overwhelming but that happens with most classes so I don’t think it’s too bad and the workload is pretty manageable.

Fantastic experience: We have had 2 kiddos take driver training here. I like that everything is included in the price. The biggest issues we've had is other kids taking the class being disrespectful to the other students and teachers.

Fantastic experience: I successfully learned how to drive on my INTENDED PATH OF TRAVEL. Kapinus did a great job teaching and made everything easy to understand.

Fantastic experience: The instructors are excellent! They hold high standards for all of their students. I recommend in-person classes vs. online. I had one child do online (during Covid) and one do in-person at the AAA location. You get so much more out of in-person instruction. Even my 16 year old admitted she learned many tips that helped her and gave her more confidence when driving. No matter which instructor you drive with, they all have a calm demeanor. Both of my kids liked all of the driving instructors. Nancy B. was our favorite, but all of them are a close second! Much of the driving on exam/practice takes place in downtown area which is similar to what the Lincoln DMV will test on as well. If you take exam with Road Ready & pass, you will not need to do it at the DMV.

Fantastic experience: I enrolled in a series of classes at Road-Ready, and I must say that my instructors were exceptional. Since I had no prior driving experience, they provided me with thorough guidance on the rules and regulations of the road. Additionally, their vehicles were of excellent quality. One important aspect to note is that while learning a skill during a lesson is essential, mastering that skill requires a lot of practice. Driving, being a skill that needs constant honing, is no exception. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to continue working with Road-Ready in the future and wish them all the best.

Fantastic experience: I studied how to drive here, road ready has improved my driving skills a lot. Teaching me the reasoning behind driving safe, why safety is important and other sorts of important stuff that is related to driving. Very friendly driving instructors , teachers and other employees around the school that are passionate about what they are doing and protecting future drivers on the road. This has been a great experience I would recommend this class to plenty of parents that would like a peace of mind to make sure their child is safe on the road.

Negative experience: I simply made a call to inquire about details that were not listed on the website. Once the lady picked up, Helen, or Janet or something similar, she didn't even bother answering my question. I get that i called on a Friday however, it was the rudeness of the conversation is what got me if i am honest. I tried a few times to reword my question, and/or repeat what she was telling me yet, the rudeness continued when i have not done anything remotely close to the energy i was given. I hate having to make reviews like these, however the lady i spoke with wasn't pleasant at all. Thankfully, i found what works for my needs elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I was a little nervous before walking into class. After my first day I wasn’t anymore because it was so much fun and the people in my class were amazing. Mr. Kapinus is awesome and really helped everyone move along and keep up with the lessons. I have only met a handful of the instructors but they are also amazing and are very patient.

Kapinus made the class fun and entertaining even if our class didn’t participate as much as we probably should’ve . Can’t wait to get to know the instructors more as well. Overall a great experience!!

Fantastic experience: Mr. K was an excellent teacher. He explained everything in depth, and taught me new information about driving I didn’t know before. I definitely recommend this class, even if you are an experienced driver. Also, my instructor Bryan was super awesome! He was very patient, thoroughly explained everything, and taught me how to safely parallel and regular park as well. Definitely 10/10!

Fantastic experience: Not only did I like it, I learned a lot more things than I did riding as a passenger along with family and friends. I learned new ways and understanding in the driving world. I understood how easy it is to lose a life of myself or another. I learned how charges and points worked for traffic violations. I also learned how to use and do things safely. I learned a lot and I’m thankful for taking this class in knowing I can be on the roadway safely. Thank you Mr. Lavicky and Mr. Kapinus and the Counter Ladies.
