Negative experience: Very,very,very rude and should be doing business if she is dealing with people. (UNPROFESSIONAL) HUNG UP ON ME IN FRONT WITNESSES...

Negative experience: Called the owner, then went into the office to sign up for lessons. Her son got my sister sign up for 6 hour lesson for $275 about 3 weeks back. Money was given and he said the owner / instructor will contact for scheduling. No calls. When reached out 3 days later, they are not willing to work with my schedule or refund. I do not recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: This was the best experience the instructor was so nice and friendly he made this process a breeze I recommend Emilys.

Negative experience: I didn't even get to set up my lessons because she never responded. She just stopped responding and taking my calls. I wasn't harassing her, I was simply just trying to schedule lessons. Does she.. want customers? Idk

He passed his test on the first try, and Mrs. Sumter went over and beyond for us .. Thank You all again, and I look forward to signing my twins up next year..

Negative experience: The lady I spoke with was unprofessional and has a very hard time answering her phone/keeping in contact I’ve been trying to do business with them for 2 weeks now since they were referred to me by a friend , i was willing to put the hassle of getting in contact with them behind me and do business with them but when it came to it she wanted me to make a payment before I could even meet with her in person I let her know I had the money to pay for the services I needed but I didn’t feel comfortable sending a payment to her before I even seen her in person since keeping in contact with her was hard to do. It’s not like I was asking for the services first and then I was go pay after, I just wanted to meet with her on the day we scheduled and send the payment in person. It’s obvious this woman isn’t really interested in making money or helping people get ready for their license I wouldn’t recommend Emily’s driving school to anyone, you’d have a better chance of learning how to drive by sponge bob square pants because he’s always ready and professional as can be unlike the lady I spoke with

Negative experience: The owner of this “business” was extremely nasty with my teenager and then proceeded to text her being extremely unprofessional

Negative experience: My experience at this school can be described as unprofessional, ill-mannered, and insulting. I will not recommend the school to no one! The instructor I had was Mrs. Sumter. She has bad customer service and doesn't know how to properly speak to people; her whole tone of voice is insulting. Here is my story I decided to attend Emily driving school because they are black-owned and could take me on as a student. I am an adult student that doesn't have any driving experience. When scheduling the driving sessions, I asked about the days and times for the days I was off from work. During this time, it would take a couple days between texting to get an answerback. I figured that she was busy in terms of having other students. So I asked if she could read the previous questions. She asked if I already paid, and I did. She said she would refund me my money, so I asked why? she said because of saying the same thing over. I was confused when it's standard questions of wanting to know so I can put it in my schedule. she said she was going to text me later about the time for our first two scheduled appointments for our first session; she was 30 minutes late . she asked, why did I schedule for two hours? when I called previously, She didn't say there was a specific requirement for two hours for the driving session. Again a refund was mentioned, we did one hour instead. She was driving with one hand and eating. Once I drove back home, she let it slip that she even forgot that she even had me scheduled that day. So instead of her asking if I could change the time, she was telling me the time was changing for the second session. I have things in my schedule, and for her to try to change it without asking me if she could was out of pocket. She 30 mins late again that day, it was drizzling and proceeded to rain during the session. This is the first time I've driven in this type of weather. There was no explanation for why she was late. I found out why because she was on her phone again, like the first session as well, talking about how she fell at Bojangles when she went to use the bathroom then there was another call after that. I drove back home and waited a couple hours before I went to go call her. I called her twice and gave time in between, so I texted her about how I didn't particularly appreciate that she was on her phone during a session. I want her undivided attention just like I give my undivided attention. It's not a way to set an example by being on your phone as a driving instructor while teaching a student. So a little bit later, she called me back, but she only called because she wanted to rant. Hence, she proceeds to say that she will give me a refund the third time she says this and that I may be unable to multitask. Still, she can. She has years of experience teaching, and I'm selfish and have low self-esteem, and I'm just like, where is all of this coming from? So you decided to jump on my neck because you did something wrong. You're in the wrong here, not me, and then in the middle of it, she was planning on just saying what she wanted to say and hanging up the phone, so I stopped her. I said you're not even letting me speak and said what I had to say, and then she said she would give me a full refund because "she didn't need my money like that." And "that by me not being happy, and that's going to make me become a bad driver because of my issues with her" She gave me a full refund. But the whole experience of her attitude and her not even seeming like she wants to teach me in the first place by her already offering me two times before she actually gave me a refund so it's just like the communication and the scheduling and how to operate that on her part was just not there, yes she could've possibly done this whole rent call because of her being in pain and having that fall earlier but that is no way to try to put it on me and be disrespectful and verbally abuse me just because of that.

Negative experience: Tried scammin us out of our money but our camera caught how much time we road I was on the road please go to another place and all these 5 star comments are obv fake awful place in general please don’t go it will save you tons of stress and money

Fantastic experience: emily is a great instructor! she teaches you everything step by step! very nice, talks you through everything it’s like no way you can fail she makes you fell very comfortable communicates well! and has affordable prices.

Positive experience: All three of my children have attending Emily’s Driving School (one pre-pandemic). I personally have never had a problem with the service, but appreciate their commitment and flexibility with the students getting their on the road hours. I was nervous about teaching or even riding with my children when they first got their permit, but after completing this course, I felt extremely confident in their driving capabilities. THANK You Emily, Mr. Sumpter and your team for making these learning experiences a success.

Negative experience: This is the most unprofessional Driving School ever. Emily is very rude, ghetto & disrespectful. She argues with teenagers as if she's a child herself. She has no manners, patience or respect. She yells & curse during lessons. If you can avoid having her as your trainer please do so because she is horrible. Hopefully she reads this & make adjustments because it's very dangerous out here & I'll hate to hear about her being attacked because of her rude & disrespectful mouth.

Negative experience: Emily is rude and unprofessional with very poor communication. Late picking my kid up for driving lessons every time, once 45 minutes late. We have to take our kid to the DMV for his road test instead of the driving school testing him like previous experience with another driving school. Don't bother with these folks.

Fantastic experience: Had my test today and passed even though I didn’t think I would. Mrs. Emily is an amazing person and she gave me great tips to use on the road and on my daily commute. She taught me how to do a parallel park (the correct way!) so don’t worry if you don’t know anything about the road, she is very patient and as she says “Practice makes perfect!”

Fantastic experience: I am an international Customer belonging from India and I really have had a very good experience in getting my driving license easily as i already owned Indian license so I have given knowledge test at my own then decided to took their driving lessons. The overall process took just 7 days to get my license. I would like to recommend every International customer to take their guidance and driving lessons just to get yours license easily. Note: I have read the negative reviews too after my experience and I would like to mention that if you want to learn driving and a driving license then Emily is best for you she may be hard spoken sometimes to you but this is part of a lesson learned from a teacher. I am really happy to say that just go for this driving school in South Carolina.

Negative experience: I had a bad experience with Emily driving school. The first time I did not get to go out driving. The person had car troubles. The next day the person was a little late. I should have known that this company was not going to workout. The first impression is the key. And they are not a good company. I'll rougher tell the truth because the truth will set you free. I went out on last Friday. I called Ms Emily Friday morning when I got back home to reschedule another appointment. And she told me that she would have to call me back. I have not heard from her. It's cool because I don't think I have to keep asking her for her services. There are other driving school out here. And I have found that. It costs a lot more money. But I'm glad I'm getting what I need. It's her lost. I would not recommend this company to no one.

Fantastic experience: Robert did an outstanding job getting my teen through her driving jitters and on to passing the road test with Ms. Emily. One 8 hr classroom and four 1 1/2 driving sessions behind the wheel. They do the third party exam on the last day. Went to the dmv with the paperwork and bam…done.

Fantastic experience: Robert was a fantastic instructor, he made me feel very calm and relaxed while driving and was very personable. He prepared me for the test, listened to the questions I had and tailored the lessons to my needs. Emily was very friendly during the test which put me at ease, and I passed on my first attempt! Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Negative experience: Aside from the driving instructor always being late to pick my daughter up.Don’t let me get started about how rude, disrespectful, and hateful Emily was to my daughter while she was doing her driving telling her that she was disrespectful and shouldn’t get her license and that she doesn’t deserve to get it.all my daughter said was okay when Emily said something to her.she’s was incredibly disrespectful and was cussing at my daughter like she knew her.I don’t understand how someone can wake up and be that rude and nasty towards a child

Fantastic experience: This driving school is truly the best! I was someone with 0 driving experience and honestly thought I’d never learn to drive let alone pass a road test. My instructor Kharee was amazing and extremely patient with me. His endless confidence in me and everything he taught me is why I feel so confident driving now & can also say I PASSED MY ROAD TEST!! Emily was great as well! She made me feel very comfortable and motivated during my test. I would definitely recommend this school and their course!

Negative experience: Very unprofessional. My son said Emily talked on the phone the whole time he was driving. Didn't show up on scheduled days and times. Emily is a very condescending person, not professional or even friendly. Was told the 250.00 included taking my son to do his driving test and my neighbors said their daughter was taken for the driving test. When asked when my son would be scheduled was told by Emily they don't do that?! But was told at the beginning they did. If you make a big mistake and use this place write down the time you leave and the time you come back as they will say you got 6 hours of driving time and you didn't. My advice stay away!

Fantastic experience: She was very patient with me and made me feel comfortable right away. She helped me learn very quickly. And made sure I got the hang of everything before my test. I am very blessed to have found such a nice lady.

Negative experience: Honestly, don’t waste your time or money. They’re very unprofessional and they always show up late. Also Emily always has an attitude whenever you try to call or text her. The only reason why I took this class was because it was a little bit cheaper than the other driving schools and it seem to have good reviews online. The driving school itself isn’t bad, it’s just the management part which Emily runs.

I’ve never been comfortable behind the wheel but she makes it so easy .. and I actually got my license .. all you have to do is listen and it comes naturally.. Negative experience: The instructor agreed to take me for training. After that she would not pickup my calls or return calls. Later texted her that I am looking for another trainer and ‘magic’ she calls! Had an hour of driver training after one and half hour of wait for her to show up. The trainer stayed in her cellphone all through the droning as a brand new driver (me) cruising around. Then dropped me off and did not wait for me to pay her!! She said she will be picking me up for another driving session on the following day. Next day I kept waiting and the time passed. Made many calls and text to her given number... no answer!! Then picks up the phone after about and hour saying she is not coming as I did not pay her!! What ethics!! How to trust such a driving school?? Will not recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Simply put, this is the best driving school you will ever come across. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating. The instructors are knowledgeable and not only teach you how to drive well, but also give you all the tools to specifically pass the road test. I got my license after only a couple of lessons and it is all thanks to my instructor Roz. If you want to learn how to drive, the search ends here, look no further than Emily's school.

Fantastic experience: I’m from Thailand and have driven on the right hand side of the road almost my whole life. Originally I had an international driving license but did drive in the US a few times before getting a driving permit in Alaska. But the test was a different story and I failed the road test. After that I decided I need some formal course, but in Alaska it was pretty expensive and I didn’t have time until I moved to Columbia. Thats when I found Emily’s driving school with a very reasonable price and flexible schedule. Emily is the best instructor ever! She was very nice and patient. She made sure I practiced a lot so that I was confident and comfortable. I also like that she didn’t just focus on how to pass the driving test but also gave me some good advise on techniques for driving more safely which I really appreciate. After I took the practice road test with her in the morning, I took the road test with DMV in the afternoon. And guess what?I passed it with nearly no errors! Fantastic experience: Awesome person. She made me feel comfortable and kept me laughing. She has a trick for everything so you can learn quick and easy. I paid for two hours with her and she spent 3 hours with me because she did not want me to give up until I grasped everything. I have been struggling to get my license due to a traumatic car crash a few years ago but she made me forget all of that. If you want to learn how to drive and get your license go to Mrs. Emily!!

Negative experience: I told Emily I really needed my license and what I needed to work on and that I would have to take the test in her car. She charged me $85 for 2 hours..I really told her during that time frame that I would like for her to take me on the route of the test & teach how to parallel park. As I would ask her questions on if there was anything I was doing wrong I felt like I wasn't getting any good feedback because she was in her phone too much and wanted to gossip about other things. She's cool but unprofessional and sucks at communicating about services. I thought I could rely on her to help get my license.. but she never responded after that one day of practice & I still don't have a license. ***Update..June 5th I finally took my driver's test only to find out I wasn't taken on the whole entire route I paid Emily for..but I finally got my license after practice and prayer!

Fantastic experience: That was my best experience ever. She helped me from the beginning until the end. I was so scared and stressed at first. Emily is super kind, patient and like a sister-instructor LoL. The tip I can give to anyone who wants to have a Driver License is simple. Do your "homework" , have some practice and hours of training, then contact Emy. She will make you succeed because I paid for 6 hours and I made it. Finally, the fact that she is militarily friendly makes her the best choice for anyone who seeks to get the driver license. Thank you Emily, you are the best.

Negative experience: I was driving today on I-20 west, the driver in a light blue colored car(possibly a Toyota) with a big sign on the side of it that said Emily's Driving School, was swerving in their lane repeatedly, talking on their cell phone, clearly distracted while riding close to the bumper of my car. You may want to address this driver, especially if they are teaching kids how to drive.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional she was late picking my brother up and only trained him twice if that. Then went on vacation so now almost a month later she wants take him to get his license and told him she doesn't have time to practice with him before hand. They go to the DMV she sits makes him stand in line, then pulls him out and says I have a another student as if he didn't matter. He didn't touch the wheel and was out for 20 mins. This was terrible service. Never again.
