Negative experience: Idk but I think the employees are lazy because they don’t do anything, they say they’ll call you back but never do. They always pretend like they don’t understand what you’re saying even though I’m word for word reading of their website?

Fantastic experience: Woohoo! I've finally got my Californian driving license after a ridiculously long wait. But the wait was worth it, because today I nailed the exam on the first go. Massive thanks to my awesome driving instructor Palmira! Thank you so much , for helping me master the roads. And yes, I've driven in Australia before, but driving on the other side of the road here is a whole different ball game.

Fantastic experience: I placed a call for their DMV road test service (DRTS) so I could take a behind the wheel test in order to get my license. Newport Driving School replied quickly and made an appointment for me within the same hour. Not only were they respectful and courteous, but they were fast and efficient. I had an appointment within 2 weeks of me calling. All of the other driving schools I called could only set an appointment for me until around 1 or more months later. On the day of the appointment Carlos picked me up an hour before and gave me a quick and helpful warmup lesson before my driving test. Carlos gave me quick and helpful tips that helped me pass my driving test with only 2 minor mistakes (not making a full stop behind a line twice), and I admit they were mistakes that I hold all the blame for because I was nervous. Despite my nervousness, I passed and will get my license soon. I highly recommend Newport Driving School if you want to get your license as soon as possible.

Fantastic experience: I get anxious when I drive and a lot of my family members try to teach me but they don’t know how to explain certain things. When I booked my lesson with them it was quick and easy. The instructor arrived on time and answered all my questions I had for him. I was nervous at first when learning but the instructor made it easy to trust him! He was very patient with me and super nice, I still have a lot to learn so I’m looking forward in book more lessons in the future. Fantastic experience: Great service from Douglas and Carlos. Recommend taking 6 hours + dmv driving test as it will prepare you well for the behind the wheel test. Fantastic experience: This driving school works. Initially I was skeptical of driving schools, however I was convinced to sign up and I am very happy I did. My instructor, Norma, was very kind and explained concepts in-depth and effectively. I had 3 classes and in the first day she set up a schedule of what to teach and I ended up passing with only 2 mistakes. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.

Fantastic experience: An amazing experience I had Carlos as my driving teacher, and he made me feel safe and comfortable driving for the first time ever, and later preparing for my drivers test. He helped me understand how the test would work and how they would grade me, and I ended up passing after only a couple months of driving with the skills he taught! Fantastic experience: Great experience with Carlos. I scheduled a DMV brushup session + pickup/dropoff and use of insured car for the test, I totally recommend the experience. Lots of knowledge and experience for navigating the OC roads, gives you confidence in your skills and creates new required habits in your driving rather quickly. Aced my test with only a couple of smaller mistakes pointed out by the DMV examiner.

They went through the course before the test and went over pitfalls and things to watch for during the exam. Fantastic experience: Preparing for a driving test is not easy or comforting .After much research I found that Newport Driving school has the best reputation I lucked out with Carlos, an incredible instructor who is a joy to work with. He takes time in thoroughly explaining every detail of all the maneuvers.. necessary to pass the test, and does it with the a great deal of patience. He is wonderful in building up confidence. And put that all together makes passing the test a breeze!

Negative experience: I purchased DMV package. Carlos told me they made reservation. However, on the behind the wheel test day, there was no such a behind the wheel test reserve under my name. I was panicked and frustrated. And what they only repeatedly told me was "No refundable". Yet they fix the day of the behind the wheel test, I wasn't thinking about the other behind wheel test.
