Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our records indicate you attended a full 160-hour program -Daytime course @ our Phoenix Campus back in June earlier this year, and that you were present and in attendance for all 80 ours of Basic Control Skills training, including the daily ,90-minute pre-trip instruction segments at the beginning of each class. We show that while you did fail your first attempt, you were given additional resources & information as to where you could study and practice the PTI until you had the proper inspection order and verbiage memorized. Our system has documented 4 other attempts to contact you so that your retest could be scheduled, and messages and texts were sent. It is unfortunate that you never responded back or contacted our training department so you could attempt the test again until September 9th when you responded to a message we sent with “F*%$ You”. We took that to mean that you were no longer interested in the second test attempt that you were owed. All three other students in your class passed their PTI and received their licenses. SWTDT students experience a 97% passing success rate annually which is well over 1200 students through our 160-hour programs a year. A portion of those do require a second test but we work with all students who work with us to get them through. Our Phoenix Training Department Manager is currently the most prestigious and longest continuously serving CDL examiner in the state of Arizona and we pride ourselves on providing quality training and Integrity when it comes to CDL testing. We apologize that you didn’t find our 25 years in the CDL training industry helpful. Our website is correct, and we do train dozens of students every year in both cargo and passenger Class B vehicles at our Phoenix location. Those classes are scheduled in advance, and are reserved on a first come, first scheduled basis. The available class start dates are determined by the number of enrollments we have for the program and scheduled accordingly. We are currently enrolling for Class B programs in the fall of 2023. We apologize that there isn’t an opening sooner for you and that you weren’t able to attend one of our programs on the timeline you would like. If you are interested in enrolling for one of open programs in the fall, please contact our office and we will be happy to assist you.

Unfortunately, there are many outright misstatements in this review. One misstatement is the assertion that Southwest Truck Driver Training doesn’t offer ELDT-approved hazmat training. This is easily disproven by going to the federal government’s Training Provider Registry and searching for us. Our classes are offered on a first come first serve basis and are schedule bi-weekly. We do our best to return everyone’s calls in a timely manner. We will address your concerns with our departments accordingly. We have trained hundreds of students just this year on the Hazmat criteria. We apologize that to those who couldn’t get into a class but please contact us for our next available classes. Gabriel, our team has communicated with you numerous times via phone call and text when you were interested in the Hazmat endorsement program as documented by our student management software. You were scheduled for the 3/10 class which we unfortunately had to cancel but we contacted you on 3/9 to inform you. You were also immediately rescheduled for the class on 4/21 which you failed to show up for. We pride ourselves on our student focus and customer service, but we also need students to work with us (and their future employers) in good faith. You’ve made multiple mentions to our staff and in this review about your Veterans status. We thank you for your service and respect that, but we also have to respect all students equally and cannot give priority to any student over another based on their status. We are an equal opportunity service provider. Thanks for providing your thoughts on the Manual Transmissions vs. the Automated Manual Transmissions. SWTDT offers training programs in both. Each of campuses has a different inventory of Manuals to Automatics based on the market we serve and what our customer and employer demand levels are. Those inventories are in fact changing every year to favor the Auto shifting trucks more over the manual trucks but we still have a demand for both. We wish you well in your driving career journey.

Anthony, I greatly apologize for this incident. We are a family owned and operated business and I assure you, we absolutely DO care. We have had a lot of turn over at this location lately and we know which trainer this was, as we have had many complaints and the trainer was let go.
