Mountain States Driver's Education, Inc.: Reviews
Fantastic experience: 10/10
Fantastic experience: Best teacher, learned more then I would online! Very interactive! Recommend bringing your children or yourself very educational!
Fantastic experience: This is regards of instructor Theresa. She has genuinely been nothing but wonderful and understanding. Since I joined this class I have felt nothing but accepted and listened to. When I explained I wear headphones due to sensitive hearing, she had no problem in allowing me to wear them so I felt more comfortable. She also made sure to take me aside and ask what pronouns I go by to make me feel comfortable. I also adored her teaching style. She allows frequent breaks to allow us to relax and take a minute to process. She explains things thoroughly and is always willing to sit down with us to explain anything we don't understand. This experience has been genuinely amazing and I could not have asked for a better class to be a part of. If you have the means to do so, please take your classes here with Mrs. Theresa. She's wonderful. Thank you for this amazing opportunity and experience.
Fantastic experience:
Positive experience: Currently taking the class, and while it may be boring, it does give a lot of info and prepares you well for having a permit, your lessons, and eventually your drive test. Theresa was nice, clear, and straightforward in her speaking and information.
Fantastic experience: Great customer service Theresa M is an amazing instructor! Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Theresa is best instructor in world!! Very professional, super nice and supportive!!! If you want to have the best experience of learning how to drive and pass the driving test- you have to go to Longmont Mountain states driving school and ask for Theresa!!!
Fantastic experience: This school is professional and thorough as well as caring. Theresa is most certainly in the right field as well as the rest of the staff. A special thank you to them for helping our student succeed.
Fantastic experience: Three of my kids have completed drivers education courses here. We keep coming back because the instructors are relatable, staff is friendly, and the kids end the course feeling well-prepared and confident to drive.
Fantastic experience: Cressler is an amazing instructor and my daughter Khloe enjoyed the class.
Fantastic experience: Teacher was great help me with all my work and explain everything well
Fantastic experience: I had cressler and he was great! He did a very good job explaining and making me understand, he tried his best to make it more exciting but still making sure we knew what it was about he is awesome !
Fantastic experience: i fw mr cressler heavy
Fantastic experience: Lots of my friends told me that drivers ed was boring but I had Cressler as my teacher, I stayed engaged and learned a lot the whole time I was at the class. I never got bored because Cressler kept it fun and interactive while teaching us the importance and safety of driving.
Fantastic experience: I had Cressler as a teacher for my drivers ed class and I learned so much in the 4 days. I thought i was going to be very bored but with him he made everything so much more enjoyable. He kept me ingaged and I overall feel very very prepared for my permit test.
Fantastic experience: Cressler was a great instructor. The way he teaches is very encouraging and it actually taught me a lot. He didn’t degrade me when I didn’t understand something, and when I was asking questions I felt comfortable. I feel prepared for my permit test now, we also did hands on stuff that helped me learn mkre
Fantastic experience: Had Cressler as a teacher, made everything so much more fun and enjoyable. Hands on and interactive, would definitely enjoy learning with them again.
Fantastic experience: I did my Driver's Ed class here and it was a wonderful experience. The class went very well and I learned a lot. Cressler was a great instructor. 10/10 would recommend taking their class.
Fantastic experience: My instructor Cres was such an amazing instructor! He tried his best to make the material as interesting as he could! As an adult learner, I appreciate his teaching style and his enthusiasm!
Fantastic experience: I loved doing this class! My instructor Cressler did an amazing job at making sure the class was well educated and had fun.
Fantastic experience: This place is amazing and sure it’s drivers ed and it’s hard but Mr. Cressler made it enjoyable for me. And you need to take this class at some point and you might be scared or angry about taking it but Mr. Cressler taught this class so well and I enjoyed myself in this class.
Fantastic experience: My daughter is finishing up her last class today and has thoroughly enjoyed it. She's learned so much from Cressler and very much appreciates his teaching style and engagement with the class. She definitely would like him as her driving instructor as she feels she has connected well with him and trusts him. In her words, "he's a great teacher, super respectful, helps us when confused, gives us motivation. We learn well but he's not strict. He makes it very hands on. Everyone passes the quizzes first or second try. He never puts us down for getting things wrong; he just explains why they're wrong." We highly recommend Cressler and Mountain States Driver's Education.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Mountain states driving school in Longmont. I have had 3 kids take their driving test there with an amazing instructor Theresa she’s very calm, kind and understanding she knew my kiddos where nervous and helped them focus and concentrate she made them feel comfortable. I have one more kid I’ll be sending her way in a few months.
Fantastic experience: I was so so nervous to take my driver’s test, but Theresa was so nice and guided me through the entire process!! She was so easy to talk to. I couldn’t recommend more!
Fantastic experience: This place has been great! I am a student attending this school and I have enjoyed my time here. It is straight to the point and the material is explained well. I really appreciate the instructor because he is super chill and had it been someone else my experience could have been a lot more boring. 5 stars
Positive experience: I learned a lot of important things and skills, although it is a lot of material to pack into four days.
Positive experience: This school is great, My sister previously came through and got her permit and she had a great experience. I also had a great experience! 10 out 10 recommend!
Fantastic experience: Outstanding Experience with Theresa! I recently had the pleasure of working with Theresa on a drive test, and I can't recommend her highly enough! From the moment we started, her professionalism and warm personality made the journey enjoyable and stress-free. Theresa was punctual, and her driving skills were top-notch. She navigated the route expertly, ensuring we arrived at our destination safely and on time. Beyond that, she was engaging and friendly, Her vehicle was clean and comfortable, which made the experience even better. I truly appreciated her attention to detail and commitment to providing a fantastic ride. If you’re looking for a reliable and personable driver test, look no further than Theresa!
Negative experience: After leaving a poor review my friend was treated with hostility and condescension by the company. Not once in their review did they mention the fact that I failed my test. I understand completely why I failed and that was not the issue. Me turning onto the wrong side of the road was unsafe and I am glad there were no oncoming vehicles, but turning onto the wrong side is something I had never done before my test and I believe the rudeness of the instructor made me feel immense pressure that I had not experienced while driving before. I was in a type of car I had never driven before and was completely unprepared to drive it. Our issue with the company was the rude way I was treated before / during my test. We showed up 10 minutes early to my test after signing up to use our vehicle that I have over 60 hours of driving experience in but after being treated rudely in the lobby we were informed minutes before I began my test that, even though we had signed up on their website to use our vehicle, we were not allowed to. Then, as I entered the vehicle I buckled my seat belt and began to adjust my mirrors. I was not aware that the car was a push to start and after struggling to locate the start button (I was confused as to why I was asked to start the car without being given the keys) my instructor (Theresa) rudely pointed it out to me. She then proceeded to tell me to pull out of the parking lot and turn away. I'm not sure if it is required but I was also confused with the fact that she did not ask me to show her that I know how to turn on my left and right signals, locate the hazard button, or turn on my lights, high-beams, or use my horn. Again I am unsure if that is required in a test so this might just be extraneous information. Finally, while turning back towards your establishment, I was at an intersection with flashing red lights (I am aware that a flashing red light means to treat it as a stop sign) where a bicyclist had fallen over in the road. As I was checking left and right and assuring the bicyclist who had just pulled themselves back up was out of the way Theresa stated rudely "you can go now." I would just like to state again that my issue was NOT with failing my test. This company is incredibly rude and we wish we would have read the reviews for the Longmont location before driving an hour out and paying $80 dollars to take my test here because it is evident that they are not kind to customers and the owner of this company who replies to peoples complaints is very condescending. REPLY : The way this company has responded solidifies my views of it. Even if I had passed I still would have left this poor review because, as stated multiple times throughout my review, my issue WAS NOT with failing my test. Like an adult I took responsibility for my mistake during my test and unlike an adult the owner of this company has replied to almost every poor review with condescension and an aim to put the customer at fault. Almost all of your 1-star reviews have named your employee, Theresa, and how they were treated poorly by her, just as I have. And the fact that the owner of this company refuses to acknowledge that goes to show how unprofessional this company is.
I can say with the utmost confidence, that if she had passed her test, she would not have left this review. Almost all of the "1-star" reviews have to do with failed driving tests. This simply shows that this person is vindictive and is retaliating through the review process. Thank you to the thousands of driver's that come to this company every year and pass their drive test on the first attempt in our vehicles. I appreciate your efforts in keeping everyone safe on the road.
Negative experience: deserves zero stars. Theresa was VERY rude. The website says that we are allowed to use our own car, but when we got there she made us use her car because she “refused to get into other vehicles”. Her car was very difficult to operate and we had never driven that type of car before. I do not recommend at all. She was incredibly mean and not considerate in the slightest. In response to the company’s horribly unprofessional and condescending reply, I never drove on the wrong side of the road, this company is trying to defend itself and clearly cannot take criticism and own up to THEIR mistakes. This company is scamming people into failing and they are making money off of multiple test retakes. I’ve never seen a more pathetic, rude, and unprofessional company in my life. Honestly don’t know how they’re still open.
I am sorry you failed your driving test. I realize it may be comforting to blame our vehicle (2020 Ford Escape AWD SUV), the reality is you aren’t ready to drive by yourself yet. It is not safe for you to drive on the wrong side of the road. It also endangers other roadway users. Please consider studying the Colorado Driver’s Handbook and practicing the skills and information from the book. This will be your best chance of passing a drive test. Thank you to all the customers who study and come prepared for your drive test. We want every customer to pass their test.
Fantastic experience: Theresa was the absolute best ! i did my courses with her and she was absolutely amazing
Fantastic experience: The instructors are extremely polite and helpful. I definitely recommendddd
Negative experience: If it was possible to leave zeros stars I would do that. From driver's education in the online portal constantly not working and having the online require hours upon hours of extra time because their system doesn't work. Move to my son taking his driving classes with a multitude of instructors that complained about the individual that my son was about to take his driving test with. Their words exactly he likes to fail people and nitpicks rules that aren't even applicable. This is the day after we are finding out multiple people are taking driving classes and having their driving instructors fall asleep during the classes! Driving test went just as expected. The driving instructor found an unreasonable scenario to fail my son over. Speaks in regards to how great he was and how it's so reasonable to fail your first time. What a joke go somewhere else! This is a terrible business that wants you to fail and charge you extra fees!!! They're garbage! Mike at the Harmony location should be fired!!!! Just to be clear, he was not going to cause an accident! You're response is a joke! I was born and raised in Fort Collins and I will make sure everyone i know understands what our experience was like. This same instructor failed 4 people in a row. Claiming it's common to fail your first time! Colorado has an 88% success rate in first time drivers tests. You should be ashamed of your response and hire people with morals. You want people to fail so they have to pay again. I can't say enough about how bad this company is! Additionally he went and tested elsewhere and receive an almost perfect score with incredibly high praise from the tester. You clearly run a business looking to profit from multiple tests.
I am sorry your son failed his driving exam. When the instructor has to grab the steering wheel and take control of the vehicle to avoid a car crash, this is an automatic failure. Please remember that as a parent of a minor child, you are accepting all financial responsibilities for these dangerous actions. When a student is not ready to drive, they simply need more practice time. Please study the Colorado Driver's Handbook, practice the skills in the book, and retest. This is the best solution for everyone's safety.

Fantastic experience: The positivity of the class made it more enjoyable and more interactive
Fantastic experience: I was a student here and the instructor is really good.
Fantastic experience: Mr. Cressler was very funny and helpful while in Drivers ED
Positive experience: As my first driving class, mountain states was much more fun that I anticipated despite it being so long. Many fun videos and interactive intruction made the class very engaging even though it was alot of information. I loved that there was no homework or studying involved making it easy to just come to class and have everything you need. However it was alot of information that I needed to absorb quickly in order to pass. The most important things were restated many times to make it easier to remeber, but taking notes was difficult. Other than that, the units and all the information made sense to me and all of the fun with the other students and great instructor made this a 4 star for me.
Fantastic experience: As an older learning driver, the class was engaging and provided a solid review of important road safety. I feel much more confident in my skills and knowledge now!
Fantastic experience: pretty cool; give creesler a black mustang
Fantastic experience: Best drivers ed ever Thank you Mr Knight (best teacher ever) it was alot of fun. But it was very long. ps. Give mr knight a raise
Fantastic experience: I felt very comfortable in this environment. The instructor had a very bright attitude and didn’t make the dry material feel dry. He had an up beat way of teaching and was very patient with the students. We get enough breaks and time to cool down after every duration. Overall a great learning environment and experience.
Positive experience: I think Mountain State Driving School is a great option for your kid. Their instructors are very friendly and give great demonstrations when hard to understand.
Fantastic experience: Great class I love the instructors and teaching methods I appreciate especially the fact that they try to make it as fun as possible while still teaching the material
Fantastic experience: it was okay boring at times
Fantastic experience: So fun!
Fantastic experience: Had so much fun. Changed a tire
Fantastic experience: I enjoyed how they used different types of media so everyone could learn, there was videos, textbooks, and lectures. I would've liked more hands on activities and visuals but overall I really enjoyed the class and i think it is worth it even though it's a lot you get more out of it.
Positive experience: I had a very good experience here. I learned a lot. It got boring at times but overall it was very good for me. I wish it was more hands on with the car. The videos were kinda boring but they help you learn so I have to give credit.
Fantastic experience: The school is highly recommended, my son is very happy with the teachers, well explained classes, he has learned a lot about signs and other things, I highly recommend it.
Fantastic experience: I was a student here, the teachers were all very nice people and they got me on that next step forward towards actually driving, if you live in the Longmont area I would highly recommend you take the classes here
Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience with my driving instructor Theresa, she was very kind and welcoming as I was very nervous. She made me feel good about the test, I would trust her with any of my family. Thank you Theresa.
Fantastic experience: My daughter took her driving test with Theresa and I could not have been more satisfied. She was a very calm and collected driving instructor. She was very patient with daughter and professional. I highly recommend this driving school and Theresa.
Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience with my driving instructor Theresa, she was very kind and welcoming as I was very nervous. Theresa helped me feel confident in myself. I absolutely love this place. 10/10 recommend taking your drivers test here.
Negative experience: My wife is just an okay driver. She had a license in another country. Once she got her learners permit here I had her drive around with me for a couple of weeks to learn the ropes. Then we booked a two hour driving lesson so she could brush up on anything that I didn’t cover. The lesson ended 20 minutes early, including stopping to get gas. The instructor said that he didn’t have anything else that she needed to learn. She then took the test with another instructor and failed, twice! She knows how to drive, so suspecting it was the instructor and not my wife, I booked her a test at the Windsor location. She passed, no issues. Day and night instructor differences. In Longmont, the instructor definitely did not have a friendly disposition. She didn’t really explain anything or give any feedback. She was curt and said the bare minimum with her statements. The Windsor instructor just had a way better attitude and the experience was just so much better with lots of feedback. I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere when thinking about using the Longmont location.
We do our best to prepare drivers for real world driving. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee their performance. All our sites provide excellent service. Most instructors work at multiple sites. I think this was a case of student just needing more practice. I am glad to hear it worked out for you at our Windsor site.
Fantastic experience: i was a student in the permit class and it was a great experience. theresa was a great teacher and made being cramped in a small room for 8 hours feel like at most 3. she was great at teaching and her style of teacher really helped the information stick. on the last day she got the whole class pizza and was a very nice person to be around over all. 10/10 would recommend this class if you truly want to learn somthing. Theresa was great and had a good sense of humor!
Fantastic experience: Theresa is great and funny. A really great and informative class with plenty of breaks
Fantastic experience: Long days but super fun definitely recommend for everyone. Don’t listen to the haters they just failed, I think not sure
Fantastic experience: rodney was cool and theresa was nice

Fantastic experience: The classes are very helpful and the teachers do a good job teaching all the material
Fantastic experience: This class was extremely educational and the teachers were AWSOME. They made sure the 8 hour day wasn’t boring and we got additional breaks every hour.
Fantastic experience: This was an extremely educational course, I would highly recommend your take this class. Theresa was a fun teacher to have, she was good at breaking up boring bits well and still taught us a lot.
Fantastic experience: Mr Knights the best do the in person classes.
Positive experience: Lady gave me candy (: also kinda learned how to drive(:
Fantastic experience: This is was very educational and a great experience. I learned a lot about driving in general.
Positive experience: These people are good, I'm currently in my last class and everyone seems nice
Fantastic experience: Supper fun and a great opportunity to learn to the rules of the road and how to drive
Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed the class, we got regular breaks and I feel prepared and excited to take this test although I hate tests. Theresa was a super fun and nice teacher, I enjoyed her energy in class and it was clear that she did her best to make the class fun. I heard drivers Ed is super boring but she made it great! She answered all my questions and I had a lot to ask, very patient and helpful
Fantastic experience: Went here for drivers ed. It was a long class but Teresa is a nice person and she makes it easy to pass.
Fantastic experience: Theresa is nice, and helpful. The classes are useful and easy to understand, it's mind numbing though.
Fantastic experience: ms.theresa is very helpful and kind when coming to teach us at drivers ed. i can’t wait to finish learning about what to do while driving.
Fantastic experience: The instructor Theresa is amazing. She has helped me so much, if I need any help with anything she will help me. I love how the class is taught. This is an amazing class and an amazing teacher.
Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed the class, we got regular breaks and I felt not only more prepared to drive, but also more excited. Mrs. Theresa was a super fun and nice teacher, I enjoyed her energy in class and it was clear that she did her best to make the class fun.
Fantastic experience: Theresa is a very good instructor, she teaches well and is really nice
Fantastic experience: Definitely worth the classes this was a great learning experience ! I recommend Theresa ! For classes she helped me out so sooo much & she is definitely a great support with this !
Positive experience: Driver's education is not a fun experience. It's especially unbearable when your class consists of watching videos and PowerPoints for nearly nine hours straight. Colorado laws require that we have thirty-two hours of driver's education before obtaining a driver's permit. I agree with that law, as having unknowledgeable drivers on the road is an imminent threat for everyone around them. However, Mountain States Driver's Education stretches an inadequate amount of information across the thirty-two hours in the classroom. We spent our time watching movie trailers, clips completely unrelated to the topic of driving, and car crash compilations, which we spent the last hour of every class on. I understand that watching the mistakes of others, in this case, car crashes, may be a helpful learning experience. However, this is not what my parents paid $500 for. After the conclusion of the course, I barely feel more educated on the topic of driving than I did on the first day. Over the duration of the course, my classmates and I were constantly lectured on how driving is an "adult privilege, " and we must exhibit "adult behavior" in order to begin driving. Does watching TikTok while teaching a class sound like "adult behavior" to you? I saw my instructor, on multiple occasions, watching TikTok with one earbud in while grading quizzes. I certainly wouldn't describe that as adult behavior! If your attention span is so short that you must seek outside stimuli to complete mundane tasks, perhaps you should not be allowed to drive at all. Edit: Thank you for the kind reply, claiming that this review was written by an adult. That is a huge compliment, seeing as I am fifteen years old, and clearly not an adult :) Edit 2: I did not “reject” the information presented in this course, as the owner’s response suggested. I passed my permit test on the first try, and have been driving for a month.
This is clearly not written by a student, but wanted to reply to it for clarification purposes. We use a peer-reviewed curriculum from Prentice Hall called "Drive Right" as the foundation of our courses. This includes the textbook, workbook, and classroom activities. This curriculum is expanded by using supplemental information from the National Safety Council and the American Driver and Traffic Safety Institute. Since most of the classroom instructors have a public school teaching background, our classes look and operate in a very similar way to a traditional classroom. This includes lecture, videos, group activities, hands-on activities, quizzes, and tests. As with any classroom setting, you will have students who are more focused on other activities (i.e. their cell phone) rather than the actual class. Over the last 23 years I have taken the position that the class is for the student. We will provide the education and they can choose if they want to accept it. As you can see in this case, they chose to reject it. The pricing comment is misleading as we offer a heavy discount if a customer chooses to combine the driving and the classroom at the time of registration. When this package is purchased together, the classroom course costs less than $2/hour. Lastly, it is unfortunate that this student (actually the parents) are targeting an instructor that she had conflict with rather than contacting us directly. I was unaware they had an issue until the publicly announced it. Please consider this parental quality when reading this review.
Negative experience: Teresa is by far the rudest person, she seems to have favoring for students who have taken her class. I truly hope that karma hits her because she can’t continue treating people the way she does. Disgusting.
Negative experience: The owner of this business as well as an employee by the name of teresa are by far the most unprofessional people I have come by. Took my drivers test twice and yes I admit I failed both times. I would like to make it very clear that this is not the issue. The problem is when my instructor decides to slam her clipboard in her lap out of frustration, YELL at me to get out of her office for arriving to my test early, and proceeding to lie to her boss about me. She claims that I crumpled a paper and threw it across her office, but I would like to see real footage of that happening. When expressing complaints to the manager of the establishment he proceeded to call my mom a liar and would not take a single word of our concerns into account and claimed that “maybe I just needed to study better”. Again, the issue was not failing the test. The office at loveland was very kind, however DO NOT go to the longmont location unless you would like to be treated with utter disrespect.
Negative experience: Teresa is very rude. Not recommended to take a drivers test with a condescending person who also looses their temper with new drivers.
Negative experience: The owner of this company is very unprofessional when it came to addressing concerns about the attitude of his testing employee. I will be 100% honest and say my daughter failed the test twice. I am NOT mad or writing the review because of it. The frustration comes when his employee was rude by slamming down her clip board on the first test, and yelling at my daughter to get out of the office when she showed up early and they didn’t have support staff. When I tried to address my concerns I was explaining that other offices have received similar complaints about this specific employee he said I was lying about the conversation I had with them and insinuated that I was mad because my daughter didn’t pass. While I agree with backing your employees you should still look into reports of employee behavior and not just take their word for it. She could have just been over worked and tired, I am sure her job is super stressful, but kindness would have gone a long way. I should state that the Loveland office was very kind. I hope they can hire more people like them.
Negative experience: Edit 1: The owner responded to another person (screenshot included in review) saying they only remove points for speeding of 5+ MPH. I was docked for going 38 in a 35. I would recommend the owner review their records with their instructors & ensure they are compliant with publicly stated company practices. The vehicle I was in only had an analog speedometer. At the time I took the test, there were only 2 instructors in the office & 2 vehicles for testing purposes in the parking lot. I don’t know if they have more vehicles for testing. The instructor referred to the vehicle we used as “my vehicle” so I assume each vehicle is assigned to an instructor & I am not certain if you are able to request a different vehicle. It didn’t seem to be an available option when I took my test. Edit 2: I took my driver’s test at a competitor a week later. It completely solidified all the complaints I had about this location. The other school did not have hostile staff who made unprofessional comments about other customers in my presence, the instructor put me at ease, & the results were a passed driving test (in part because I was more comfortable & less nervous). If you just need a driver’s test, I would NOT go to this location. I cannot speak to their classes. The car I drove in at the other location was a compact vehicle, which I was more comfortable in. It was also much cleaner & tidier than the vehicle I used at Mountain State Driver’s Education. Edit 3: The snarky response from the owner 8 months later further demonstrates the unprofessionalism & rude culture of this business. Furthermore, the driving instructor DID mark me for going 3 mph over the posted speed limit so it may be the “truth” that company policy is 5+MPH, but it is not the practice in my experience as a customer. The instructor specifically showed me the form she filled out and it included a specific note about this infraction. The lack of comment on the staff’s attitudes towards customers or dirty testing vehicle speaks volumes. Taking the same test at a different company within a week (no additional driving practice needed), resulted in me obtaining a license just fine. I have taken driving tests in Colorado & outside the US many times. By far, the worst & most unprofessional experience I ever had was with this business. AVOID. Original review: I took my driving test here. I didn’t pass, which is what it is. My 1 star is because experience from start to finish was nerve racking, weird, & felt scammy. The vehicle for the test was an SUV. The other vehicle was a large Ford vehicle. I have never taken a driving test in anything other than a compact car. It seemed strange since not everyone is used to driving large vehicles & it introduces another source of stress on the test. The instructor did not introduce themselves or say anything other than a few short sentences before the test. There was no attempt to ease the tension. I received a snarky comment about the fact that I was wearing a jacket (it was hot, but I live in Asia & am used to covering up from the sun). I felt judged the whole test from the moment I got into the car until the end. I took a driving test in Colorado 10 years ago & this was the absolute antithesis of the experience I had previously. The workers in the office were treating other customers like they were petulant children. A person forgot their permit, another was late to their test… Both customers were not rude, they just asked if any exceptions to policy could be made, were told no, & left. I am sure the staff deal with a lot of bs, but making snarky comments in front of me (another customer) about those people was not professional. And unmerited based on the behavior of the other customers I witnessed. The whole vibe was simply not great. I will still take the feedback into consideration on my next driving test. However, won’t be giving this place my money for my next driving test & I would never recommend them for a driving test to anyone.
Negative experience: Update 2/15/24: It’s about the unreasonable reschedule fee and your no exceptions policy. You don’t pay your instructors $80 an hour. A reschedule fee of $60 because I was late due to traffic is an unethical business practice. A reschedule fee is understandable but my session did not cost $80 because it did not happen. Your instructor got paid, by me, for a lunch break. Your car did not get miles put on it & was even on the road. You explained to me on the phone that you then try and sell my spot to walk-ins which is also unethical because you keep my $80 and also make $80 from the new person. To take this long to reply to reviews is embarrassing. Your business is rated poorly because A LOT of people have had a bad experience with your company and feel your ‘self regulated’ policy is a scam. A no exception policy is really awful when you yourself are the one who made it up. …. late to my appointment by 20 min, got there as soon as possible. No call. They made me pay a $60 dollar fee to reschedule. $80 initially and another $60.
Please keep in mind that when you are 20 minutes late to a 30-minute appointment, we will not be able to fit your test into the remaining 10 minutes before the next person's test. Unfortunately, timeslots for tests are not a resource that we can put back in a warehouse and sell again later if unused; once that time is gone, it is gone forever, and we still have to pay the instructor who waited for you. All the same, thank you for using Mountain States Drivers Education, and drive safe out there!
Fantastic experience: Mr.Knight is a great teacher who tries his best to make the class fun. The material may not be the most entertaining, but he makes it a lot easier to pay attention. ALSO It won’t let me leave a review for some reason, but if I could I would give mr knight five stars! He really knows how to connect with students and he really helped me feel comfortable with the people around me. Teachers make or break a class, and he was the best part! Thank you so much Mr knight, - Brooke Nye
Fantastic experience: I think its a wonderful Drivers Ed school to go to, I recommend coming here for your classes and testing, it's very helping and great customer service :) (P.S: Theresa is cool)
Positive experience: I think Theresa is a cool laidback teacher
Positive experience: I really enjoyed this program. The teachers are very kind and it’s very educational yet still fun.
