Thank you for response My son took the driving school last November and we were told he was all set and we’d get his license in the mail and he wouldn’t have to attend court ceremony. Never happened. Called driving school and they told us to take form to dmv and we should be able to get it there. Did that and then were told nothing was ever submitted as to his completion of driving course. Called the school again and was told yes they did. Called DMV again and was told dates were missing from completion form so it was never processed and I was never notified. Now here we are almost a year later and he still can’t get his license bc they won’t accept the form and he’s still under 17. So why did I pay almost $500 for him to take these courses and get his license in order for everyone to fail miserably at the follow through after the fact. No I do not recommend. ***edited to add..thank you for your response. We do have another appointment at a different DMV to hopefully get it resolved. I will reach out if we are still not able to get it and will update my review. I’m not sure why we never got notice from DMV about the error as they had correct address and everything. ***update on 10/16/24…we went to Hopewell DMV per the driving school recommendation and left with Temp license in hand with permanent to follow in mail around 15 days….it’s been quite the ordeal but glad we finally have the situation resolved.

Fantastic experience: I don't usually give reviews to things, but this place deserves it. So far I'm 2 lessons in and it's been really useful in learning the fundamentals of driving. One instructor in specific I've enjoyed learning from was Marcus? I'm not good with names, but he was a Brazilian guy I believe named Marcus. He was really patient and good at explaining the techniques, but one thing in specific was how relaxed he was. I have high anxiety and get nervous to do new things, but him being relaxed made me feel really confident.

Negative experience: A lady driver for this driving school is pootling along on I95 blocking traffic, swerving dangerously and tailgating people. Her temp tag is flapping haphazardly off the back of her car and she is hogging the outside lane driving slower than even those in the right lane, and therefore disruoting flow of traffic. Based on this demonstration aline I wouldn't hire this instructor EVER to teach my kids how to drive, holy moly!!!!

Fantastic experience: I am a 1st time and now, a very loyal client of Colonial Driving School (CDS). CDS exceeded my expectations in each category, each of which I rate as a "5" out of "5" stars. I highly recommend their services to both new drivers, as well as experienced drivers in need of improvement to their existing driving skills. My experience began as a first-time client with a last minute request for a private lesson. I requested and received a personal one-on-one appointment for Road Skills test instruction within 24 hours. The purpose was intensive instruction to pass a DMV Road Skills test. This was a big "ask" without prior notice to CDS. A challenge to the success of this lesson was that I have been a licensed driver for over 40 years. This required that I successfully "un-learn" old habits that I accumulated over 40 years and "re-learn" the current Road Skills test requirements in a very short amount of time. The results were nothing short of AMAZING. Needless to say, I passed the DMV test with ease and confidence! I was able to accomplish this because of the accurate and intuitive instruction/communication techniques that were taught in such a way that I could instinctively recall and perform them even in an unfamiliar and stressful road test environment. Thank you CDS!

I took the class on 03/9/19 and my test today on 03/12/19. And I passed my learners test. I was so excited I cried!!! It’s been a long time coming and I finally did it! I recommend this school to anybody! I will be going to them to get my License. Amazing School!!

Fantastic experience: My instructors name was Daryl Gibbions and he was fantastic! I expected to be bored out of my mind and leave gaining no knowledge on how to improve my driving. That was the complete opposite! I actually had fun and thought it was a great experience. I learned things that I will continue to use when driving. It’s so cool to see someone living out Gods calling so clearly! He was a great teacher-funny, endearing, kind, and more! Walking out of class I talked to the people that took the class with me and we both agreed we felt super blessed that it wasn’t dreadful. Praise god for people living out their call!

Negative experience: Please have your so called driving instructors not drive-in the fast lane on 295 indefinitely. The left lane is for passing not cruising

The instructor Sonja was very descriptive and allowed all of the students to understand the material she taught. Her hands on teaching skills made it very easy to retain the information and she was very helpful throughout the course.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience for private driving lessons, I cannot speak to other services although it would probably be great as well. Friendly company to interact with. You just call or email the front desk to purchase services or ask further questions that are not on the website. For private lessons, you and the instructor mutually agree on lesson times and it is a good value as well. Instructor Daryl taught me invaluable driving skills that will be useful anywhere I go. (I highly recommend him and this company)

I had been in communication with Jamie prior to coming because I has an emergency come up on the date I was initially scheduled they are very flexible and understanding. If I ever had to come back to driving school it would definitely be here!

Fantastic experience: My experience here was great, the instructor, Mr. Tropiano, was very polite and informative about the curriculum in the class I'm here because of an 81 in a 60mph reckless driving ticket, this class helped me realize what my mistake at the time I was pulled over with, how to prevent it from happening again, and just in general learned facts I didn't know from other people's personal experiences within the class itself too
