Fantastic experience: I highly recommend doing the driver's test here, the instructor is friendly, understanding and helpful, at the DMV people are rude. This was the best decision I made for my 2 teenagers needing to take a driver's test

Negative experience: I am very disappointed. We chose DFW driving school on the recommendation of a friend. For the first few classes, the instructor made a variety of political comments. He stated open favoritism for one candidate and made disparaging remarks about the other. (To be clear, politics and favoritism and disparaging remarks about either candidate have no place in a driving instruction course.) Another parent and I contacted the school. I left a voicemail and the other parent emailed. Following that, there were no comments made for a few days, so we thought it was resolved. Today, the political discussion occurred again. The instructor also made remarks about people with a common medical diagnosis(ADHD) not really needing medication. The instructor also claimed the JFK museum lied about who killed Kennedy in order to make money. I am disappointed that an instructor would make such unprofessional comments to students who are still minors. Unless the situation does not happen again, I will NOT be recommending this school.

Fantastic experience: DFW Driving school is good for training and all purposes. I'm an adult driver with already 30+ years of driving experience. My US out of state license had expired. So I signed up for 2 (1 hr) driving lessons plus driving test for $195. After the sessions, I felt I needed another preparatory half hour session right before the driving test, which was offered for $65. All my other formalities of 6 hour online class ($27) and 1 hour IMPAKT (Free of cost) was already taken care of prior to this. On the day of driving test, I took the half hour prep. plus the driving test (which is of 20 - 25) minutes and cleared the test. For US citizen, they can apply for driving license right here at DFW with an extra processing charge of $35. This does not include $11 actual license charge of DPS. I see it's a pretty popular place for kids and housewives and young adults to come in and either get their classes or take the required defensive class (in lieu of the 6 hour online class).

Fantastic experience: I am so glad I decided to take my road test here and passed it. I opted for their prep lesson too which was a great decision.The team was so pleasant to work with. I was so anxious but my instructor was so patient with me and provided all the useful tips. She created such a friendly atmosphere.The process to register and get an appointment is smooth. I would highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Have used DFW Driving School for myself and my husband when we moved to the States to get our TX Drivers Licenses. Always a pleasure to work with their team. A seamless process and pleasant test route! Highly recommend a prep lesson prior for those coming from abroad and to use the school's vehicle for the test. Really helps with the parallel and ironing out some details.

Negative experience: I would avoid this driving school if you can. My daughter took the in car portion and the road test with this school, and the service here is pretty terrible. 1. driving instructors Sam and Susan are very nice instructors. However, on my daughter's last class, she was scheduled to another teacher we have never heard of, although we signed up for Sam. This instructor was mean and belittling to both my daughter and the other student, and she would not teach at all. She stopped in the middle of the lesson to go talk to peacocks, and she stopped again to full on scream at the other student because of a mistake. Even if a student makes a mistake, the instructor should NEVER be screaming at them. 2. front desk The customer service at this place is terrible. The girl at the front desk responds to your questions on the phone depending on her mood. When she is happy, she answers your questions. When she is not, her tone is noticeably rude and she will do all she can to make you hang up. 3. organization The websites they use to sign up for classes and road tests are terrible and unorganized. You often cannot find the correct times to sign up or it doesn't work at all. Then you have to call the front desk to be met with a horrible attitude. Please invest in a better service. 4. road test My daughter had her road test on the day of her dps appointment. The driving school knew that. On the day, she took it with Susan and passed. However, this driving school had took all our paperwork when my daughter came in for her previous attempt. Susan did not know where the paperwork was and she stated they usually never file paperwork. We then had to sit there and wait TWO hours for the front desk lady to come. In the beginning, she did not respond to calls or texts from the driving instructors. When she finally came, her attitude to us was terrible and she made it seem like it was Susan's fault, even though Susan did not know where the paperwork was. We were stunned when she knew exactly where the paperwork was and all she did was pull it out from the file cabinet. We did not have to wait there for two hours if the driving school had communicated. This place has terrible organization and customer service. I would not be surprised if they cancelled a class with you last minute and made you miss your dps appointment. The only reason they even get a star is because of the driving instructors. PLEASE OPT FOR ANOTHER DRIVING SCHOOL OR EVEN PARENT TAUGHT. IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

Recently, my wife, who has just immigrated from Ukraine, required a refresher course and an examination. Initially, I was slightly anxious about the potential language barrier. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they approached the situation with kindness, precision, and a great deal of patience towards her. I wholeheartedly endorse and have complete confidence in recommending this company to anyone who may require their services.

I was nervous but my instructor Ms. Susan created a friendly atmosphere and it was easy and pleasant to work with her, for me to pass a drive test. They have an established route, so you can practice your driving skills beforehand. Ms. Susan has more than 17 years of experience, a very dedicated to her job performer, she gave me several advices what to pay attention to. I highly recommend to pass your driving test at this school.

Negative experience: I'm reluctant to write negative reviews as I value supporting local small businesses. However, I feel compelled to share my experience here. I would not recommend this place for driving test. While I understand that test outcomes may vary, the feedback provided was extremely rude, delivered loudly and harshly in front of other customers. This incident significantly undermined the confidence of a driver with over 25 years of experience back home, which is deeply concerning.

Negative experience: ***NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL*** such a pathetic experience.my wife took 2 lesson different day by a week difference. instructor Suzan, such a rude and arrogant woman, a Instructor job is to teach his student how to driver with kind and cooperative way, but she showed her self what SHE is. all they need is how to make people FOOL.

Negative experience: I hesitate leaving negative reviews because I believe in supporting local small businesses. So I do not post this lightly. I urge anyone contemplating this school to ask around first on Facebook and Nextdoor to get the full picture as at a glance the Google reviews seem ok. In short, there are so many reasons why we left this place, without my child completing their program. At the end we simply wanted to put as much distance as possible from them and the negative experience, even though we lost our money. UPDATE: I did not publish my child’s name for privacy reasons but we were a paid customer.

Negative experience: Do NOT go here for a driving test. The man that does the driving tests on Saturdays and in the evenings is TERRIBLE. He tries to fail people. My daughter did everything she was supposed to do and he failed her because he said she did not yield to a pedestrian. She clearly did and he changed his story several times. We went down the street and 30 minutes later she passed her test and the man said she did excellent.

Positive experience: The practice test option really helps you with the test a lot l. Instructor was great at explaining my flaws. They also allow you to use your own car. Only problem is the parallel parking portion is place awkwardly

Fantastic experience: Very organized system. Everything is scheduled on the web . In the mean time,the front desk is very flexible . if you let them know that you want some block during the weekend, they will actually contact you if there is a slot open. My kid was able to finish the behind wheel very fast. Don’t get me wrong , as a parent, you have to teach your kid to drive too and spend a lot of time . The driving school is more of fine tune. So it is better to have your kid spend a few hours before you go to the first class .

Fantastic experience: I had my road test this morning at 11 am :). Ms. Susan was extremely supportive and funny. Even though I was really nervous, she made me feel at ease, and I was able to pass the first time. They provide you with the route you are taking a couple days before, so I recommend that you practice the route and parallel parking beforehand. Thank you DFW Driving School!

I took classes here back in 2019 with Sam and he gave us all the information we needed while still making it a fun learning process. After a few years of not driving and practicing I decided to do my road test here this week. I was nervous walking in to do the test. Susan administered the test, and she immediately reassured me on how the test would work and what to expect, and helped to relieve any concerns I had before we got out on the road. Throughout the test she ensured everything was stress-free and the the test was done quickly and I passed. I highly recommend this driving school to anyone wanting to learn to drive.

Negative experience: Please stay away from the place! I paid $345 for my daughter to take lessons at this establishment. It was decided that she wouldn’t take classes at DFW Driving School. We requested a refund which took 2 weeks to receive. Of the $345 that I paid only $295 was refunded to me. I have since contacted my CC company for the remainder. The owner sounds life he’s Indian. Stay away from this place. Horrible business practices!

Fantastic experience: Great place to become confident about your driving skills and to ensure that you pass the driving test without having to take the test at the DPS location. My tutor was a very patient and friendly lady who provided me with positive as well as improvement feedback at every point necessary. Scheduling the test at your convenience is also hassle free and saves one from the stress of finding the DPS appointment before the test. I would definitely recommend the DFW Driving school at Plano location for all your driving and license needs.

Fantastic experience: Actually, the teacher was very clear, giving the way to do in short memorable way. she made everything as SMART, specific, measurable, Achievable, relevant, and time bound, which is the perfect way of teaching. The experience has been outstanding, all the way from the moment we enrolled my son until he took the road test; the entire team is there to help. We went to the Plano location (closer to our house). The entire team is great, but I want to mention Sehar especially; her customer service skills are second to none; no matter I have been living in Plano for more than 20 years, this was the first time I had a kid going over the process of learning how to drive and prepare for the tests, I had TONS of questions about the process, documentation, etc; Sehar made the time to answer all. Not only that, she was able to accommodate days/times, dealing with me over email in a very professional way. About the instructors, all of them are great and care about my kid learning how to operate a car properly, but Sam, one of them, left in my son an extremely positive lifelong impression. I was a witness to my son’s progress, going out with my kid for him to practice -way more than the 30 hours required by law- I was able to see how he evolved for the better every week after he had driving sessions at the school. If you or your kid wants to learn how to drive, this is the place to go. I usually don't recommend businesses, but this one exceeded my expectations. Thanks to the entire team of DFW Driving School!

Fantastic experience: My daughter took her driving test (August ~ 2022) at DFW Driving School in Plano. Instructor was great! Gave great advice & things to be mindful & watchful while driving on the road. Very patient & knowledgeable staff. Very convenient days & times of operational!

Negative experience: I took my road test here and the instructor just failed me purposely maybe because I didn’t enroll for driving lessons. I took a road test on other school on the same day and I passed it with only 17 deductions. The instructor never showed me how many deductions I had after taking it.

Negative experience: I paid the full cost six months ago and have been unable to have a single lesson for my son since. There are very few lesson times opening and they fill up instantly and now they simply locked out my son's account.

Negative experience: Very unorganized they put the wrong name on my sons permit and blamed it on him even though his paperwork when I registered for the class was correct. Then when I noticed it was incorrect he took it back the next day to class and told them it was incorrect and they told my son they would have it fixed and returned to him by that Friday . This did not happen, they just keep passing the buck. Very disappointed in the customer service or lack of. All the last at the desk kept saying is that she’ll get back to me on Monday. My son asked everyday for the corrected permit.

Fantastic experience: We came in at the appointment time and was greeted to start the paperwork. My daughter had Susan to administer the road test. She tried to made my daughter feel at ease but remained professional. At the end she gave daughter some critiques and areas to work on. Overall the process was rather smooth and professional.
