Fantastic experience: This place is a really good place to come too and learn for driving! I had coach chip as an instructor and probably one of the most chillest and coolest people to get taught by. I would recommend this place thousands of times!

Fantastic experience: 10/10 recommend. I had class here and it went amazing . You pick up the lessons so quick because they make it easy to remember. You get breaks between time to time and that helps if you need to walk around or take a quick brain break. I drove with Coach Susan and Coach Joe. They go over and review things with you. These past days of driving have been easy and there’s nothing to be scared about. I would recommend you come to Coaches Driving Academy!!!!!!!

Positive experience: Experience was overall good! I took the adult driving course and the classroom time was neat and concise as well as interesting with a dash of humor which made things enjoyable. There was an issue with the driving portion that was out of everyone's control which is why I gave four stars. (It caused the drives for everyone to be pushed back but not by too much, so it was fine!) I had instructors Chip and Joe and they prepared me well for the road with stern and friendly instruction. They made sure that I felt comfortable with them with small jokes and conversation. As someone with driving anxiety, my experience was better than I had initially thought. Consider coming here :)

I learned so many things and the drives were very helpful with getting me used to different situations I will encounter when driving in the future. I had Joe for all of my drives and he was extremely kind and helpful, I recommend this academy for anyone at any experience level with driving.

Fantastic experience: Coach Joe and Coach Chip were excellent while driving. Both let you be independent behind the wheel and carefully corrected your mistakes. I drove the mustang and the scion which both handled well. The classroom was delightful. If a person goes in without any knowledge you sure could learn a lot there easily.

Both of them were so easy going and trusting, and taught me how to complete good, confident maneuvers. The driving portion was so much fun and i never felt uncomfortable or judged. Fantastic experience: We have had 2 sons go through Coach’s Driving Academy. We have had a wonderful experience both times. The class work is detailed enough to get the students the information they need to be successful. Coach Joe is excellent, given his background, he works well with the students by providing firm solid driving guidance. Both of my sons liked his style as he made them comfortable with the driving experience and they felt happy with their experiences. They both had improved skill sets and a better comfort level driving in traffic and in the interstate. Highly recommend Coach’s and especially Coach Joe. Would send my kids back a hundred times over.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here. The lessons were easy to follow, the coaches are easy going and they have a way of making the 38 hours of class time not completely dreadful. And the drives that you do, the coaches are very informative and they correct your mistakes but they don’t harp on you and they don’t hold them over your head. Shout out to Coach Joe, my favorite instructor in the classroom and the car.

Coach’s used a method that boded well with my peers and I, keeping the discussions and lessons lively and engaging. This same teaching technique continued over to the actual driving process with Coach Joe who was lively but kind in his teaching and helped the student feel at ease even in difficult situations. I highly recommend Coach’s for any student looking to get their license.

Fantastic experience: I had a great time driving all of my drives with Coach Joe. We went all around Slidell and had fun while driving. After all of our drives, I felt very comfortable while driving. Highly recommended driving school!

Positive experience: Coach’s Driving Academy has successfully taught me how to drive. But that is not the biggest thing that they have done. I was terrified of driving and now it isn’t so. Class was torture with Coach Chip, and we learned nothing of use with him. When it was Chip’s time to teach, we learned close to nothing about actually driving. Instead he chose to talk about white women from Chalmette who are drunk off of gin with leathery skin and barefoot on the dance floor. However, my drives were scheduled with Coach Joe and Coach Susan, and they truly helped me. As I mentioned before, I was absolutely terrified, and as we had more time together it all faded away. They provided me with constructive criticism and helpful tips on how to proceed from here. They are amazing and very generous people who truly care about their job and hope for the best in a student. A huge thank you to them. If you can get past the awful classroom hours, you will be sure to succeed as long as you avoid Chip.

I was very nervous when I first started driving but he helped so much. We went on the interstates and all over Slidell. Fantastic experience: My experience with this driving academy was beyond superb. I had Coach Joe for all four of my drives and I’m not even sure what to say, actually I do. Coach Joe’s instruction helped me not only get over my fear of driving, but challenged me in ways where I felt myself getting better every minute and mile of the drive. Coach Joe is a spectacular instructor. He took my driving skills to new heights (figuratively and literally), and it truly was a joy driving with him. These five stars in my review go to him for his positively tremendous instruction. For anyone reading this, if you have a chance to drive with Coach Joe or have your child drive with Coach Joe, consider yourself lucky. They made her so confident in knowing the rules of the road and taught her good techniques to drive around this road raged town we live in. They took her on backroads, highways, in gause traffic, and the interstate. Now we can focus on just practicing everything they taught her until she turns 16!

Fantastic experience: Coach Joe was the best!! I was very nervous in the beginning but he taught me how to drive very well. I also drove with Susan and she was very nice and helpful. All the instructors teach very good and make you feel confident enough to drive.

Negative experience: The pricing was great which is why I went here. I took my other lessons/permit test at another place, so I was very unaware of the route. Granted, I should have asked for the route to practice but I don't live in Slidell so finding the time the practice would have been something else in its own. I cannot remember the name of woman who gave me my test but she was not good. First she hit her breaks when I was slowly breaking. There was enough space in front of the other car when I was stopping, there was no need for her to stomp on hers to jerk the car. After that happened I was already nervous because I remembered that as an automatic fail. Then we went to turn onto a street at this light... the light was yellow and she told me to turn. So I turned. She then yelled at me and failed me for "running the red light" even though I turned when she gave me the directions to turn. Then she told me to turn on the "black and white" road. I was like "The second road??" Whoever she was she gave poor instructions. Apparently did not want me back because I cursed after I ran the light because I knew I failed. Super upset because I was looking forward to this so I could finally buy my car and I failed for something that wasn't even my fault.

Fantastic experience: Coach Joe is the best. Very fun I wouldn’t have passed the road skills test without him signing and dancing and his random outburst. He got me lunch and made sure I was comfortable and no offense to the other coaches but coach joe is the best

Fantastic experience: The class really helped me understand what different signs and what the different lanes mean and helped me understand how to drive and the rules of the road better. Coach Terra and coach Joe drove with me and they were really helpful helping me with lane changes, where to stop at stop signs, when to put your blinker on, and how to drive better in general. It was a really great program and all of the coaches are all really nice and helpful people.

Fantastic experience: coach joe is the best coach i’ve had!! my drives were very easy and he was very easy to drive with. even though i made a few mistakes he would correct them and i’d be set for the next time a situation like that occurred!! i had an amazing time driving and learning at coaches!!

Fantastic experience: Coach Joe and Mrs. Susan were very patient with me and were great driving instructors. Joe took me to Starbucks two out of my three drives with him just because. He tends to dance and sing a lot while in the passenger seat, so just keep that in mind.

Fantastic experience: Coach’s is one of the best driving schools in Slidell. If you go here try and get Coach Joe to do your driving, he makes it fun and interesting. I thought I would’ve been really nervous but he made it to where driving wasn’t scary but fun. It was always a fun time when driving with Coach Joe.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Joe drove with me twice and I learned a lot from him. At first I thought I would be nervous to drive with him but he’s actually very calm and nice. He taught me most of the stuff that I needed to know to become a successful driver. Mrs. Tara drove me twice as well and she’s the driver that I started with and taught me the basics. She also did my final drive and was very helpful. I was very nervous for my last drive but Mrs. Tara kept me calm and I helped me focus on my driving. So I would say that they were both really good instructors and helped me to get my learners permit.

Fantastic experience: During the classes they went into detail about what we needed to do and made sure that we were safe while driving. During the driving portion, it was fun and I also learned a lot on the road. They communicated well with me and gave me side notes on what I needed to work on. Definitely recommend this driving school!

I personally had Ms. Terra and Ms. Susan and they're great teachers you can literally ask them anything and they'll help you out the best that you can. I'm sure the other coaches are the same and overall coaches is probably the best place you can go to get your drivers ed needs.
