The recruitment process lacks transparency, and students are not properly informed about the training structure until after enrollment. While the available equipment is satisfactory, the driving experience is minimal, with less than 20 minutes of hands-on practice per day in a 9-hour session. Management emphasizes punctuality over ensuring students receive adequate training and practical experience. Overall, the school has potential, but recruitment exceeds the staff's capacity to provide a comprehensive and effective learning environment.

Positive experience: A very fast paced school and sets you up with a variety of companies to suit your situation. You’re set up with a job as you graduate so it’s easy. If you’re not the quickest learner or need special attention for difficult or challenging assignments then I wouldn’t recommend. But if you can handle quick paced then you should be good. Students are very helpful and so are the instructors in their capacity.

Fantastic experience: As a Roadmaster student currently soon to graduate, this school has been a great decision in my life Scott was my classroom teacher and I left his classroom fully prepared for what’s next great teacher, another set of great teachers are John and Matt great teachers filled with patience you can visually see they enjoy doing there job Matt taught me my first maneuver and from there it was mainly John I personally do not learn from a teacher who just tells me what to do and then tells me to get in the truck, John capitalizes on giving a general idea of what you are about to do and then walks you through it step by step, letting you know where you messed up at and how to fix it. Matt does a great job at walking you through step by step while you are doing the maneuver. very calm and down to earth teachers they both take the time they need to take and make sure you the student are on the right page and when you speak to them about something you don’t understand they don’t make you feel little or stupid they talk to you like a human being. you can’t fail when you have great teachers like these guys John, Matt, and Scott thank you personally for making my time with you guys worth everything I put into this school.

Negative experience: Where do I begin they are short staff they treat you like your in jail. Mindy she yells at you and treats you like its jail. They are every short staff and all they have you do in pre trip is sit around this place was horrible and really short staff and Mindy does nothing but rides around in a gulf cart. Start treating the student with respect. The bootcamp feel is wrong.Mindy learn to help your safe instead of just riding around.There are students who have to wait to advance to other parts of the program because of being short staff . Mindy should have stepped in and help with those students being able to advance instead of those students have to just sit around.

He also makes the classroom fun by adding in his past experience in trucking. My whole class passed our RoadMaster exam on the first try due to his teaching skills.

Negative experience: If you wanna get skipped over when it's your turn to get in the truck go here. How can you learn when you can't understand the pronunciation of the Spanish instructors words. And when you're fixing to back up on the exam to back into the box Alfredo will get you out of the truck. If you want to be the last person to drive the truck come to this school

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at Roadmasters. The instructors teach different things and sometimes they are incorrect and when you go to Mindy who is head of the school she will insult you and try to make you look bad in front of all of your peers. She stresses for students not to curse on the pad, yet her instructors curse like sailors daily. Honestly, I left the school due to discriminatory behavior and unprofessionalism by the head of the school, Mindy. I wouldn't bother wasting my time at this school because the majority of the students are not even passing the state exam because they are confused by all the different instructors teaching different things, and it's completely confusing. I was literally harassed and threatened by Mindy because I walked away from her insults. I notice that at this school, African American women are intentionally set up to fail, and it's very appalling. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone who wants to actually succeed in trucking. Update I spoke with Hannah Ramirez about the issue at hand and what all transpired and without any investigation, even though there are cameras on the property, she stood behind the Despicable actions of her employee, Mindy and her complete inability To be professional. When I brought up discriminatory concerns, I was told that that was my opinion and not my experience being at this school. If management doesn’t change for this company its going to be ran into the ground Because at this point you cannot blame Instructors if they are not under good management. My experience with road masters was horrific and I would never recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My first week was intimidating for me because I felt like I wasn’t going to have enough time to prepare and learn everything that I needed! I was so wrong! By the 4th week I felt confident and ready to start my new journey as a professional driver all thanks to Roadmaster Driver Sxhool of Orlando!

Negative experience: They don’t have enough instructors for the amount of students they enroll.Tuition is $7.4K+ and they don’t even have enough instructors. If you want to stand outside in Florida heat for 4hrs and only drive the truck for 15mins, come here. *update* Don’t be fooled by the Werner affiliation. They were only offering OTR Team driving when I enrolled. The Team driving pay sucks. They split the miles AND the pay. YOUR ARE NOT GETTING PAID $0.54 per mile(individually). As a new driver that is teaming you’re getting paid $0.27 for only half the total miles the team covers. Which makes the whole recruiting process misleading. I was told pay was $0.54 for team drivers and the miles were split. I was NOT informed that the pay was also split. Get ready to struggle. It’s like they set you up to be stuck because of course you still have the looming 11k+ loan. Overall horrible experience. Just do something else.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding vocational school if you’re interested in a career in trucking. Charles Davis and Richard Trapp were my two favorite instructors among the highly experienced cadre. If you are patient with the process and follow their instructions, you will succeed.

Positive experience: Roadmaster is a great place to learn the skills you need to build a career in trucking. I am 57 years old and have spent 25 years as an insurance agent, corporate trainer and agency owner. My corporate experience has taught me many skills but the most important skill of them all is communication. Teaching/ Training is a skill that requires excellent communication skills. Roadmaster instructors are great but as always with every organization you have stand outs. Dani Gentry is that person at Orlando Roadmaster, she is excellent at communicating to each student in a way they understand. She does not just dump all the information on her students in a cookie cutter fashion but cares enough to pay attention to each pupil. When I was frustrated to the point of questioning my abilities Dani stepped up encouraged and spoke to me in a way were comprehending was simple. Positive energy strengthens, energizes and enlightens. Dani brings that positive energy. I am driving truck now and loving it! Thank you Dani!!

Negative experience: First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Dani, the woman instructor at Roadmaster Driving School Orlando. Although I didn't get a chance to personally thank her for her unwavering support, patience, and extensive knowledge of trucking, I want to acknowledge her exceptional contributions. Working with Dani was a breath of fresh air. As a new driver facing occasional challenges, being in her group felt like everything just clicked, allowing me to steadily build my confidence. I also want to extend my appreciation to Julio, who left a lasting impression with his keen observation, patience, and coaching approach. His willingness to let students make mistakes while guiding them on how to rectify them was instrumental in true learning. Thank you, Julio! As my time at the driving school concludes, I feel compelled to share some observations and concerns. One notable aspect was the discrepancy in knowledge and teaching styles among instructors. While Dani and Julio stood out positively, I noticed a difference with others. I'm grateful for the unique perspectives they brought to the learning experience. However, communication proved to be a challenge during my tenure. Attempts to contact individuals, whether through permanent or school lines, were consistently met with unanswered calls. Despite expressing this concern, there seemed to be a lack of responsiveness, which was disappointing. Furthermore, it was disheartening that, apart from Dani and Julio, instructors and managers often struggled to remember students' names, even when we wore name tags as instructed. This seemingly simple oversight gave rise to an unnecessary inconvenience for students who expected a more personalized experience. Lastly, I encountered a disruptive element in the form of confrontational students who engaged in gossip and discouraged others from following instructions. This created a toxic learning environment, and I found it draining and rude. I believe it's crucial to investigate the fairness of the system, especially regarding the limits on testing attempts, as some students boasted about their extended stays in the program. In sharing these experiences, my hope is that they contribute to improvements and a more positive learning atmosphere for future students at Roadmaster Driving School Orlando

Fantastic experience: I am glad I’m finally out of this school, it paved the road for me to start my trucking career. They are the best ever, this school got its things but im glad i went there and learned all i did and met everyone there. Class 41!! Those instructors got me to where I needed to go and they made my experience amazing, they’re the best there. And Mrs.Edith, that lady is amazing and im so grateful to her helping me and understanding the situations i was going through, contrary to whatever people say about her, she is a sweet and funny lady. Ms.Dani made me learn, laugh and thrive, i really couldn’t have done this without her in my ear giving me instructions until they were imprinted on my brain. Positive experience: Great Staff Nice Environment Friendly Ms Dani is the most knowledgeable when it comes to the maneuvers, she’s also very passionate for all the students and goes above and beyond to ensure each student excels. Mr Julio is also very patient and was an honor to be trained by them both. I gave 4 stars only because when it comes to the time length you’re there you can get pushed back weeks due to the school having too many students or not enough instructors. I think this organization can be managed a whole lot better and a bit more compassion for the students from management. If you’re thinking of attending please get your permit first, this can also extend the time it would take. I’ve seen them push/kick people out that don’t get the maneuvers down in the time length they want, and I thought this was horrible for someone paying their money and would still owe regardless. They should retrain you until you get it, everyone learns different and at different paces. All in all roadmasters is ok can be much better.

Positive experience: Roadmaster has 3 top tier trainers Richard Trapp,Julio and Danny were all a big help to my success and experience at roadmaster…and I can’t forget Edith if you have a problem with something, let her know and she will get right on it. Far as road driving you’d want to get on the road with Charles, Walton and Roy they give you the best experience to driving on the road.

Positive experience: My experience at Roadmaster Orlando was challenging but rewarding. I enjoyed learning from all the different instructors, but like in everything else, you will find your favorite based on your learning style. My favorite was Mis. Dannie, when it comes to backing maneuvers. She will break everything down so you understand fully what you are doing and why you are doing it. For my road drive, I like Mr. Walter or Charles, who are calm and knowledgeable. They will help you feel comfortable in the truck and guide you through any challenges. My advice for further students is to be mentally prepared to stand in the sun for eight-plus hours while waiting to get time behind the wheel, and when that time comes, make it count because it doesn't last long.

Fantastic experience: Loved my experience with Roadmaster. They don't give up on you and work with you to get you your license. The management is very strict on time and rules, and they work with you when you need help. The instructors are wonderful people, Danny, Julio, Elliot, Efren, Charles, Alfredo, Mendy, Roy, Walton and Scott. I worked with them all and all of them were great at teaching and helping me in many ways. I definitely recommend this school.

Negative experience: It's complete nonsense served with unprofessional staffing and the ring leader Edith Nieves.. not sure how this individual can be a representative of Roadmasters professional truck driving school when she doesn't comprehend the definition of such.. I'm not sure how you would like me to call that number when Hannah was completely rude and over the edge herself. She also stated she handles all complaints. Negative experience: I was a current student from class 35 that’s actively still going I was being racially profiled by Edith Nieves who is the manger… these teachers are not teaching they of yelling in your face.. if you re asked a question the instructor RICHARD TRAPP responds”ARE YOU DUMB DEAF OR RETARDED…you do not speak to people like that we are paying 13k for this treatment they kicked me out for no reasoning…being Racially profiled.Edith brought ice cream for everyone and we was the first table she seen so me and my 3 pals are from the same place we picked our flavor and I ask what are we going to eat it with Edith responded Aren’t you from the islands you know what to do use the lid to eat the ice and everyone else’s had a spoon expect us

Everyone is incredible, teachers and instructors will guide you every step .. in the beginning they said trust on us and we will get you guys through it . It was well said and well done. Positive experience: I had such a wonderful experience at Roadmaster thanks to one person, Mr. Trevor. He is an amazing instructor perhaps even the G.O.A.T. From the moment I was paired with him I began to see progress. He told me that he's going to have to retrain me. I assume it was from what I learned from other instructors. However, from then on it was great, everything clicked and made so much sense. I will miss him dearly, Now the reason I give Roadmaster a 3 star is because some the instructors do not know how to conduct themselves as professionals and do not know how to be accountable for their actions. They forget that they were once in our shoes and people learn at different speeds. Some instructors are completely rude to the students and very impatient to the students. Instead of explaining something to the students they give basic information and expect us to figure the rest out when it comes to the evaluations. For anyone wanting to come here, get your permit first, no exceptions.

The instructors all teach in different ways which works best because not everyone learns the same way. It is progressive, if you need more help in a certain area, they are there and have the tools available for your success as long as you are willing to put in the work! Negative experience: Goodness, do your own research. More than half of these review's are paid and are fake. Do not trust a pretty building. They are ugly underneath. The greatest teacher is experience. If you don't like this school within few day's leave. There are cheaper and better alternatives out there and of course now they will say your not a student of ours at roadmasters when replying to this review, like they did with others. Greedy people all they care about is money. Look up Mutha trucka on youtube (youtube channel) and look at the real side of Werner and Roadmasters. Once again a lot of the reviews here are fake and been bought. Trust your gut only. Not people.

Create your own experience and don’t base it solely on disgruntled online reviews from prior students or frustrated ones out on the pad venting their lack of self confidence. Their experience is not your experience as you are uniquely you! I’d say this process is 80% mental & 20% maneuvering and driving. It’s survival of the fittest, it’s like a gridiron. If you’re not built to keep yourself in the right frame of mind as you challenge yourself to the highest extent you may have ever been challenged before in life, then you will struggle. However, if you remain positive, OPEN, dedicated, focused, and eager to learn, then you will receive everything you need to be prepared to handle a semi and more! A special shout out to Mr. Elliot, Charles, Julio, Mr. Roy, Mr. John, Scott, Effrin, and the best state examiner - Pablo. These men are dedicated and they know their trucking! They will teach you, correct you, motivate you, and praise you, all while inspiring you to give it your all. This place felt like family while I was there…even though you may go off in separate directions, family always stays in your heart. ❤️

Positive experience: Overall, my experience was good. Every instructor played a crucial part in my learning experience. Scott in the classroom during week one was very knowledgeable and kept the class engaged with his commentary on his trucking career. Trevor and Alfredo on the pad REALY display a tremendous amount of passion when teaching. Great school system. I must add that being on the driver's pad all day, there should be some form of shading. Since Florida's land is 75% coastal and as air moves across the warm water it picks up heat and water vapors, making Florida the most humid in the country. Heat stress can result in heat stroke, heat exhaustion, heat cramps, or heat rashes which I experienced all except heat stroke. There are two igloos on the pad which is great but please keep them filled until the end of the day. Also I must add sending a student home for 6 or 7 days before state test is just ridiculous regardless of what guidelines are in place it's conducive to the student success of passing the first time. We are rookies, so the students should have practice up until the state test date as much as possible with exceptions of weekends. I know i know you may say if you got it , it doesn't matter if we are sent home to wait, but it actually does matter. Overall, Roadmaster is a great school and I'm extremely happy to have completed the cdl course from a prestigious school. Thank you,

Negative experience: I enrolled in this school I was there for a week seems like everything was going great! We had to take a final test for the first week before we can started the PTI sections which would have lead us to weeks two. They were three of us who didn’t pass the final with the 80% grade that ROADMASTER requires. I recognize that one of the three was given a third opportunity to redo the test! This showing favoritism! Why this opportunity didn’t apply to other two of us? I’m very disappointed to see the remaining two of us was not given that opportunity to retest and besides we were the foreigners in the class. The same exemption should be applied to all student who were below 80%.! @ ROAD MASTER IN APOPKA FL.

Negative experience: Was dropped from the class for allegedly pulling out my phone , up to 10k for this class and they barely give you any information on pretrip etc. As well the manager doesn't listen to you and corporate will believe anything she says. Take your money somewhere else

Positive experience: Big shout out to mr Darin he is a really great instructor , very good at what he does and really gets you to a point where you understand what & why you are doing something . Also thanks to Mr Charles & efrain ! Great people , good school even tho when you find a job they tell you to forget everything you learned in school . Roadmaster still makes sure you know the basics -

Fantastic experience: This school is great at teaching students how to become a successful truck driver. I want to give a shout out to all the instructors for being a great role model and an inspiration. Every single instructor here go above and beyond to make sure that we, the students, receive the full knowledge of understanding on how to operate a tractor trailer safely. Every instructor here, dedicates his time and knowledge into helping the students, but there is ultimately one instructor here who I believe who should receive a special shout out. That instructor is Darren, he not only does his job as an instructor very well, he also helps push ourselves when we want to give up, he helps us students find the motivation that we need to continue when I saw countless students wanting to give up. He believes in us when we find it hard to do so and continue to motivate us and inspire us students.
