Fantastic experience: I saw all the mixed reviews and decided to still come here since they were very kind when i emailed and called their office with all of my questions. They offered me better options than other local schools. My appintment was set for 7:30am on a sunday. I made sure to show up 10 mins early for my test, please do this if youre going to any driving test at any location. Jordan was very welcoming and kind, despite it being very early. She made sure everything was safe and that I was comfortable and ready prior to the test starting. I failed my first test but Jordan was very informative on how I can do better and the things to improve on. She didn't let me feel like a failure, and I don't feel like it was a tactic as others said to get more money. I know what I failed on was important to be better at. I returned to retest and passed. I was happy to spend my money here with the great customer service and the informative feedback. I felt supported here and I think it's important to have that when you're completing an important milestone in your life. Huge thank you to Jordan Elliott!
Negative experience: If someone tells you to take your test here, DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM. I was about 4 minutes late, and my instructor was horribly rude about it. He rushed me the whole time and told me to make turns super late into the path. Also, they don't trust you at all, which part of me understands but the degree in which they do this is insane! They WILL fail you so you can pay them more money. It's genuinely ridiculous how they're still testing.

Negative experience: Oh boy, where do I even start? I’ve been meaning to write this for quite some time. First off, let me make it clear: I completed my driver’s ed, my drives, my knowledge test, and my driving tests about 2-3 years ago. This place is great if you’re just trying to learn, but it’s horrible if you actually want to get your license. During one of my drives three years back, I had an instructor who spent the entire time complaining about his job and how he was planning to quit. He was just a sap to be around. I made one mistake, and he immediately started yelling about how I didn’t know what I was doing. Then, he went right back to complaining about his life. I don’t care about your life—do your job! I could almost get behind this nonsense if the place wasn’t so goddamn expensive. Then there’s the fact that this driving school is full of ex-police officers and military personnel. You’d think, “Oh, they definitely know what they’re doing because they’re police officers.” Trust me, the last person you want grading your driving test is a police officer. They’re super uptight and notice everything. The test is also extremely subjective, which made it both annoying and expensive to pass. I’m just trying to get my license without dropping hundreds of dollars. I can fix all the little knick-knacks on my own time and money! To top it off, I don’t even like the staff. Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m not some anti-cop guy. I still appreciate the service they can provide, but after my experience here, I’ve learned I should’ve gone literally anywhere else to get my license. Thank you.

You mentioned attending our school 2-3 years ago, but we’re curious why you’ve chosen to write a review after such a long period of time. Given the nature of this review, we are concerned it may not reflect a genuine experience with our school. Negative experience: I paid over $600 for my son to go here and to their credit, he learned the material presented and passed his written test. That’s where the good stops. Like other reviews on here, he failed his first driving test, even though he practiced for hours, drove for months with myself and his Mom, and is an EXTREMELY cautious driver. He setup a parallel parking course in front of my house with our other car and trashcans and spent hours perfecting his technique. He failed with a 76% for “point totals.” There wasn’t one thing, it was his instructor’s ambiguous opinion. After waiting a week, not practicing anymore because we were on vacation down in Texas, he re-takes the test and passes with a 94%. Every other person I have talked to who has had a child go there has had their child fail at least once. This place will fail you on the test at least once to try and get more money… each test is $70. It’s a joke and I strongly advise going somewhere else. I have 2 other kids, they won’t go here.

Fantastic experience: My teachers were great! Jessica was extremely helpful in studying for the tests and Kevin was understanding of my computer audio issues. Fernando was a kind, friendly driving instructor. Overall I had a great time at 911!
Positive experience: I have not had any negative experiences with this school. Everything has gone smoothly. Shoutout to Kevin, the business owner, being my instructor. They have made learning to drive an easy process, and I specifically like their focus on defensive driving.
Fantastic experience: Yeah, it was straight flames, the classes were fun and cohesive. The drives and other systematic things were all smooth and not confusing at all. It really had me goin nutty for driving after the few first classes.

Negative experience: For seven years, I drove confidently in my home country in a manual car. But after moving here, I needed to apply for a new license. I opted for a nearby school for testing and found the process of making appointments and payments very easy. During my first driving test, the examiner played a cruel trick. She instructed me to speed up, only to suddenly demand I turn right. She failed me for allegedly not stopping at a red light before the turn, even though I did stop for three seconds. There was nothing I could do but schedule another appointment. The second test was even more suspicious. A different examiner was in charge. As soon as we left the plaza, she instructed me to change to the left lane when it was safe. Despite the road being clear with no cars behind and the cars ahead being about three car lengths away, she immediately failed me for "dangerous action." I barely moved into the left lane when she abruptly stepped on her brake and then instructed me to drive back to the school. Once there, she told me, “You will never be able to pass the test in your condition,” and started pushing their courses on me: ten hours of driving practice, adult courses, warm-up sessions. I requested to check the dashcam footage for both tests, but they denied my request. It felt like a setup. Avoid 911 Driving School. In my experience, they scrutinize every small thing and fail you for the most random reasons if you’re not their student. If you don’t pay for their driving courses, passing the test might be difficult—it felt more like a money grab than a fair testing process. I went to the department of licensing the following week and passed it without issues.

Fantastic experience: As a student I had a pleasant experience and learned everything I needed for both the written and driving test; I credit my teacher, Jennifer Lawson-Cooper, for future driving success's. The smoothness of scheduling and the kindness of the staff should also not be overlooked. Overall my experience was great and couldn't recommend this school enough.

Negative experience: My teacher was not good for me, told lots of boring stories and just didn’t teach well for me. The slides provided were way more helpful to me and if I had a more engaging teacher I think I would be more comfortable with driving.

Negative experience: everytime i put my son in driving test in this school they always fail him over the smallest error and calls it a dangerous action. he was doing parallel parking and they fully failed him for being a little close to the curb. instead of marking points down they instead stopped the whole driving test and made him go back to the school without a chance to finish his test. he took a test again with the same instructor and still failed him over the smallest error and called it a dangerous action like what? this driving school made me feel like theyre scamming me just to get money from my pocket. i am highly disappointed i would never come here again. and on top of that they unenrolled him from this school because i cancel an appointment that on saturday but they didn’t pick up the phone. i tried on sunday but they’re closed. then on monday the day of his appointment. just because he couldn’t make it to his driving lesson appointment they unenrolled him. i went to another driving school he did the same stuff and they still passed him bc it was a small error nothing too big
Mini Hardway -- Unfortunately, we are unable to speak to your individual circumstances since we do not have the name of the student nor are we able to find an account with the profile name used on this review. Therefore, we will speak to our policies. Our WA State Licensed Examiners do not fail customers on their road tests. Customers either pass or fail based on their own merits. And, our examiners do not fail customers based on the accusations you provided in your review. A customer cannot fail a road test simply by being “a little too close to the curb”. A customer can fail the road test during the parallel parking skill if two of the vehicle tires leave the roadway at one time and enter a soft or hard curb. Our driving school does not make up the rules or the test. Our driving school proctors the test which is given to us by the Department of Licensing (DOL). Our examiners are required to adhere to state testing regulations. Per DOL, an individual automatically fails the road test if the customer commits a dangerous action or if there is a violation of law. In this case, the examiner is mandated to stop the test and return the customer immediately to the office without completing the test. Again, this is not our rule – this is a DOL rule. A customer can also fail the road test based on point deductions (customers must pass the road test with an 80% or higher). A customer is the only person who can control the outcome of their test. Our WA State Licensed Examiners are highly trained, licensed and professional at their jobs. Now to speak on the allegations we unenrolled your student due to missing 1 drive appointment – that does not make any sense! Per our policies, all students have 6-months from the first day of class to complete all course items. This includes all 15 classes, pass all 4 class tests (with an 80% or higher) and complete all 5 drives. If a student late cancels or no shows to a scheduled drive, then there is a $50 fee to reschedule. We do not unenroll a student from their course due to missing a drive appointment. As we discuss on day 1 of class, if a drive needs to be rescheduled and it is after hours (or we are assisting another customer), leave a voice message. As long as the date/time stamp of the voice message is outside the 24-hour cancellation window, there is no fee associated with rescheduling the drive. Again, we do not unenroll a student just because they no showed or late cancelled a drive. A student is unenrolled from their course if they fail to complete all course items by their 6-month deadline. Fantastic experience: Although I haven’t finished my time at 911 Driving School, I have already learned a significant amount of knowledge and skills to help me as a driver. The zoom classes are well-organized and educational, and the instructors are both professional and helpful when teaching. I would definitely recommend going here to get your driver’s license to ensure a high-quality experience.

Positive experience: The Zoom meetings were pretty cool they were clear and direct. The only confusing thing was to determine what was actually important to write down because one time everything was in red and I was told it wouldn't be on the test. The drives were nice and fun to do. The instructors are really kind and friendly. The only thing is because there are different drivers it felt like there were different rules when driving, so it's a bit frustrating trying to drive when I'm learning from so many different people.

Positive experience: It was alright, when I had scheduled my drive at puyallup my instructor was so nice and comforting but when I had went to the one in graham she wasn’t very comforting very uncomfortable. But overall the experience was all right Scott was cool
