Negative experience: Disappointing Experience at Saab Driving School I recently had the unfortunate experience of taking driving lessons at Saab Driving School, and I cannot recommend this place. First and foremost, the instructors seemed disinterested and often unprofessional. They were frequently late to lessons and lacked the patience needed to teach new drivers. Instead of providing constructive feedback, I often received vague comments that did little to help improve my skills. The vehicles used for instruction were in poor condition, which made me question the safety standards of the school. I felt uncomfortable behind the wheel, and it was clear that the cars were not well-maintained. Additionally, the scheduling process was frustrating. I had to repeatedly follow up to confirm lesson times, and there were often last-minute cancellations. This lack of organization added to my stress and made it difficult to progress in my driving skills. Finally, when it came time for the driving test, I was shocked by the lack of preparation and support. I didn't feel ready, and the atmosphere during the test was tense and unwelcoming. Overall, my experience at Saab Driving School was far from what I expected. If you're considering learning to drive, I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a more professional and supportive environment.

Fantastic experience: He is a very good teacher. By the end of segment 1 he makes sure you know how to drive very well.

Fantastic experience: I started segment 1 with him and we had 12 day classes, he was a good teacher and we always learned something. After he gave us an 80 question test and it was very easy, we were prepared to take it. After that I started 4 hours of observation, 1 hour every day, after that I did 6 hours of driving, we started driving in the neighborhood and gradually progressed to driving on avenues, then a road like ford rd with 35-50 speep limit, after that we drove on southfield highway on a 55 speed limit, then we drove on I-94 with 70 speed limit and we got to the airport, then we had 3 exercise parking, today, I passed and got my permit, thank you Saab for teaching me how to drive, I have never driven before. He was funny and professional and always kept us on track, this is why I wrote all that.

Fantastic experience: I kinda expected myself to have a rough time here as a student, but for some reason it was easier than i thought, and i learned a little quickly that I anticipated. To sum it up, i had a… pleasant experience here, it was good overall.

A beast when it comes to teaching you the pitfalls and how to overcome those when you drive in MI (which could be a bit tricky at times, especially if you’re around downtown). Took several practical lessons with him and he gave me a comprehensive feedback including real time driving coaching one on one, during each lesson. Absolutely love this guy and his coaching techniques. I’d recommend him 100 percent ! Passed with flying colours only after a week-long training.

Negative experience: I went to this school to inquire about a road test. Spoke to Mario who appeared to be honest and friendly yet about his business. He said it was required to use his car and the test was 150. I asked specifically if he did the test and he said yes. We schedule and get there and he drives from Dearborn heights to Southfield and another guy appears outta nowhere. He was the tester not Mario. It didn't go well because the guy was very vague on the backing into a spot. The course was poorly set up due to parking lot lines that were not a part of the test. He said my grandson hit the cone yet he let him go on to parallel parking which he called blindside parking. My grandson aced the parallel parking and then he told him he had to wait a day because of part one. Wth why did you let him go forward just to tell him that. I feel they both ripped us off for money. I would not use or recommend Saab for road test due to deception.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Saab has made me a professional in driving, I just passed my road test fron the first time after about a month of training with him. He won't take you to the road test until he makes you feel very ready to pass this test, which is very rare in other driving schools. I had a great training experience with Mr. Saab, and thankful for him that I passed the road test with no stress or anxiety.

Negative experience: Went there to make an appointment and was told only Sunday was available. Then, he asked for $150 cash before we could even schedule the appointment. Not friendly at all, made us feel like he didn't want to deal with us. Don't waste your time.

Fantastic experience: Signed with saab, took me in next week. Paid $150 and got straight to driving. All I needed was my road test so they drove us out to Southfield. They told me my test was 30 minutes and I passed! They’re very on point with how you park, switch lanes, hand on the wheel etc. They don’t make exceptions for anyone which is great! I highly recommend

I had to go there for 3 weeks to learn about the traffic rules and then I took my test and passed it and then I had to get 4 hours of observation and 6 hours of driving with him and then he showed me how to park and then I got my segment 1.
