Negative experience: They try to force me to take a class on the weekends. Because of the magnitude of work I had, I was unable to attend class. So they banned me for life from their school. I believe it was race based!!! There is no way in the history of your school everybody who couldn’t attend the class they was banned for life.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking to get your CDL, ADA is the only school you’ll want to go to. Their instructors are second to none. They have the patience, knowledge and skills to set you up on a course for success. Before our test day, three instructors stayed later (Sunday evening) to make sure we were as prepared as we could be for the following day. This isn’t something they had to do, rather something they chose to do to help us succeed. Management is also A+. Gio and Juan take their jobs serious and make your training their priority. I’m grateful and incredibly happy I chose ADA.

Negative experience: I started May of 2020 instructors was quitting left and right due to the pandemic. The instructors had no patiences and very intimidating. They rushed most of us through. Overall bad experience $5,000 plus lost. I was never given a chance

Fantastic experience: This is the best school to get your CDL in Delaware, I committed 3 hours everyday and it worth it. Every day from day one to the end of the course you learn new skills. Instructors are the best, they have a lot of experience and different perspectives on driving and you can get the best of everyone to create your own driving style. I didn’t know anything about trucks and I was able to pass the federal test on my first attempt. If you are looking to get in the trucking industry, definitely this school has to be your first choice.

Fantastic experience: If you’ve ever thought about obtaining your CDL I recommend you do it and if you’re on the fence about which school, you definitely need to choose American Driver Training Academy! It’s a short and thorough 4 week course and 90% hands on training at the school. Save some time to study the pre-trip inspection book AND video at home. The video breaks down every component just like you’re standing in front of the vehicle and it coincides with the book. Just follow along. Super simple. It’s four weeks so I’ll make it easy and break it down. Week 1, pre-trip. Week 2, skills maneuvers. It’s a recipe! Just follow the recipe the instructor tells you and it works every time! Week 3, Hit the road in the simulator! This real-feel simulator teaches you how to shift and drive before you hit the streets. By the end of week 3 you’ll be confident in all 3 hands-on aspects. Week 4, is continuous training to button up what you learned then go test while everything is fresh! Before you know it, you’re One & Done. There’s not a question you can ask these instructors they don’t know and they answer the questions thoroughly to make sure you and the class understand in a professional way. Special shout-out to them: Mr.Juan wears all the hats, Warren and Mike in the skills yard, Chad, Jeff and Tim in the trucks and my guy Jake showing the ropes on the simulator. A+ technical help from Kandi at the desk and the moral support from Jayden and Geo is bar-none. Thanks again for everyone’s top-notch guidance and for helping me make way in my new future endeavors!

Fantastic experience: I saw ADTA on my way home during a crazy transition time in life. I seen a student driving a combo vehicle going the exact same way I was goin home. My daughter asked me if I was goin to be dri ing that truck. I looked at her, and said "let me find out. I called the number Friday, visited the school on a Monday and the rest is history! It was a great experience. Everyone, frim top to bottom made feel like it was more than a school, more than training. It's a way of life, and they ensured I had what I needed to accomplish my goal. I'd advise anyone seeking their CDL or a life change to seek ADTL out. So long as you commit you will succeed 1 and Done.

Each and everyone of them got their own ways to show and teach but that’s the best part about it all. It’s good to know a lot than a little. Fantastic experience: I did a lot of research on different driving schools vs going to a carrier school before deciding on ADTA. I was impressed with what they have to offer vs the other schools or carriers. ADTA has a fantastic reputation. They are highly respected in the industry with just about all major carriers as well as local companies that employment placement was a giving. The hardest part about finding a job is deciding which company to pick. Many companies give preference to ADTA graduates over other applicants. Recruiters (local, regional, national) are constantly giving onsite presentations. There is an awesome career center where students or even graduates can stop in at the campus and look at potential employers (They don’t stop helping you once you graduate. You are a ADTA member for life.)The equipment is easy to learn on. They have a state of the art stimulator. The facility is crispy clean and very well maintained. The class sizes are small filled with both genders and all age groups. All of the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and truly care about the students. It’s a family run school where everyone (staff and students) are treated like family. The difference in a private school vs a carrier school is home time vs being away for a month or more as well as locked into a employment contract. They have a couple of different schedule options. The time truly just zips by. It is truly a challenging experience for an extremely rewarding career. I highly recommend ADTA. Call them today and find out for yourself. When I first attended this school, I was very nervous because I never drove anything larger than my own personal vehicle. The instructors here are motivational and push you to do your best to be successful. I’m proud to say I am now a Class-A CDL holder with Hazmat, Tanker and Double/Triple endorsements! I graduated with a 4.0 GPA because I pushed myself to do better every single day. I now work as a regional driver for DOT Foods and I couldn’t be any happier with my decision. Fantastic experience: Personally I thought everybody from this school was welcoming, supportive, & motivating from the start ; from the front desk to recruiters, teachers & overall atmosphere. The enrollment process is simple & easy, they always answer your call. I spent 4 short weeks here and was able to pass my cdl exam coming from somebody who, before attending this school, did not know one thing about trucks at all yet alone drive one. From day 3 I was already in the truck practicing parking. They don’t just give u lectures on driving a truck they make you do it from the start so u can fully grasp the concept which I think is awesome. Student to teacher ratio was 4:1 sometimes even 2:1 I loved that, made it a more personal learning experience. The classrooms & bathrooms were always clean, trucks were decent. I thought the students and teachers were extremely respectful towards the female students including myself. If you are willing to put in the work & give it 100% while u are in here I don’t see any reason why anyone wouldn’t be able to pass. They give u everything u need to know in order to pass in such a short amount of time. I the teachers were so so helpful & skilled in what they are doing. There will not be a dull moment with these guys they are comedians; they’ll make u feel comfortable & make training a good time.The school also give u different tools which many others won’t. Overall great experience would recommend

Everyone motivates you to be and do better than your best! When I first applied to attend the school I was scared and nervous because driving anything outside of a 2 axle vehicle can be pretty intimidating. All nerves disappeared the first day. Everyone made me feel so comfortable and valued. I have gained so much knowledge in the past few weeks and couldn’t be more excited to drive the open road. The enrollment process was smooth and easy. I was treated with just as much respect and care as all of the men in my same class. If you are interested in REALLY LEARNING how to safely operate a commercial vehicle ADTA is definitely the right choice! They guided me through my entire journey even after graduating and starting my new career. I couldn’t be more thankful! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My experience at ADTA execeed my expectations. From day one the instructors took the time to get to know you individually and kept a great repore with you during the whole process. This was extremely important to me because getting your CDL requires a lot of training and studying it is not an easy license to acquire by any means and it shouldn't be easy. At times it can be stressful and overwhelming having understanding instructors to bring you back to center is unbelievably helpful. Through studying, on the road & range training I was able to pass my final exam my first time "One and Done". That said it was not just that I was able to pass my exam. I was taught how to control my vehicle & manuver and understand the components not just say what they are. I feel very comfortable with maneuvering a tractor and trailer to the point it became muscle memory. Shifting a 10 speed is now second nature to me. Doing my Pre-Trip and understanding it is now second nature. This is not a school that hands out CDL's you will have to work for it and you will have to show the instructors that you are able to control your vehicle and execute maneuvers and operate it safely this is a Class A unrestricted license. I live an Hour and half away from ADTA, it was crucial for me to completely throw myself into this program for 4 weeks 160 hours. For me attendance was imperative of my success getting to school early and getting in a routine. This Class will require your full attention and commitment, however if you stay vigilant I promise you , you will walk away with a class A CDL. Before attending ADTA I attended a community college CDL program in Salisbury Maryland, the instructors were rude, insulting and not knowledgable they did not care about there students and were on the phones most of the day and got students to instruct other students. The student to instructor ration was awful and the classes were overcrowded. It was unsafe and made me not want to even go I left after 2 weeks. I was determined to find a school that took the time to educate their students. My fiancé found American Driving Training Academy, I called and had an interview set up the following day. Right when I walked in the door I knew this was the place I wanted to go to . The administration staff is incredible the facility is state of the art very clean and has the latest technology to aid in learning. I was in a Truck my first day and I was driving one by mid week. ADTA has an impressive fleet of Freightliner Trucks. The student to instructor ratio is expetional I had five people in my class and always at least two instructors most of the time three. ADTA is a prime example of what a true trucking school should be, if you want to be the best go with the best. Just like anything you get out of it what you put it in. I wanted my CDL class A more than anything I took every opportunity they gave me and at at the end I preformed and I executed my learnings. I will forever be grateful for the relationships I built at ADTA and the School itself. Life's full of choices and if you want to learn and get a good understanding of a Tractor Trailer and complete school with a CDL it is my personal opinion you should call them and set up a interview you won't be disappointed. - Spencer A.
