Fantastic experience: I failed my driving test twice so having to take it a third time I was very nervous. Decided to give this school a chance and I’m so glad I did. My instructor knew the lay out of my test and how it would go. Helped me practice and gave me some pointers before the exam and all and all super friendly people and I would highly recommend them!

Negative experience: If we specifically speak about the driving lessons, they were adequate aside from the fact that Daniel was late up to 10 minutes MULTIPLE times and he has a knack for yelling and occasionally not understanding the viewpoint of the client while they're driving. What was exceedingly horrible, however, was immediately after passing my road test. Daniel, the instructor, forcibly removed my learner's permit from my hand and told me that I could not get it back until I rated Good Africa Driving School 5 stars. Yes, he stole and held my learner's permit hostage until I did what he wanted. I was faced with two choices, to do what he asked or call the police in order to get my learner's permit back. From what I saw, I was not the only person he did this to. He knowingly exploited his clients, the vast majority of whom were of color and of immigrant status, to do his bidding, which is both revolting and ILLEGAL. When confronted with Good Africa Driving School about this incident, they IMMEDIATELY DID NOT TAKE MY SIDE. They proceeded to GASLIGHT me and manipulate the events of what occurred. Again, they did NOT take ANY accountability for what happened, instead saying it was my fault and that I must be 'out of my mind' (direct quote from them). Yes, this was from THE ENTIRE DRIVING SCHOOL. I have text-messaging evidence that supports this that I may attach at a later date for anyone that is curious. I, in good conscience, cannot recommend a driving school that commits these actions and then proceeds to shift blame to the victim rather than take accountability as the perpetrator themselves.

Canceled my first appointment at the exact time I was waiting for pick up, rescheduled but unfortunately no call no show when I eventually contacted them, no excuse was given and no empathy. They just refunded me. Bad company

Negative experience: The driving instructor was amazing with teaching me how to drive, giving tips etc. so the lessons were very beneficial for me. Although I had a few issues such as at times the driving instructor ending a lesson early/starting it a few minutes late and at times I felt as though I wasn’t being given the full time I was essentially paying for. I booked my road test with the driving school and was told to pay 40$ as a spot holder and to bring 100$ the day of the test. The road test got cancelled and rescheduled twice so I was told i’d be discounted 40 and to bring 60 the day of the test. Although my test was cancelled and rescheduled another 2 times after this. The 5th time the test was scheduled I finally was able to take it and pass but it had been nearly 4 months later and even though I had shown the messages of them saying i’d be discounted I was told I had to pay the full 100$. When going on the rmv website I was also charged an additional 35$ road test fee on top of my ID fee which I don’t recall them telling me I would have to pay. Just confused as to why i’m charged 100$ for the test yet charged again by the rmv. I was told when i started the driving school that it would be 500$ total cost to complete all driving lessons and get my license, etc. but I definitely paid more and I feel as though it’s a lack of communication as well as telling me I can pay less due to their countless times of cancelling/rescheduling due to rmv issues and then telling me no I had to pay full. Again, they’re definitely great at teaching you how to drive just other factors were stressful and in attempts to call to ask about the 40$ discount and 35$ fee I wasn’t made aware of I haven’t been able to have anyone answer the phone.
