Fantastic experience: From the moment you enter 911, you feel welcome. The customer service staff are amazing, polite, personable, and kind. They work with the students and the parents in the same way, making everyone feel valued and appreciated. The instructors are detail oriented, and they have high expectations of their students, but they also have high expectations for themselves. They give timely feedback and suggestions for improvement. We have always felt respected, included, and valued during all of our interactions.

Negative experience: Attempted to enroll my kid but it was full for a year. I went to another school no problem that was 200 dollars left. This place will rip you off!

Fantastic experience: I was not impressed a week ago when the weather was freezing and many businesses were closing early for the safety of their clients and staff so I gave a one star review. After the week of snow and ice, I feel this business did well to communicate closures and out of the abundance of safety and caution cancelled classes and drives for their clients and staff. Therefore I’ve revised my review from one star to five star and would like to extend my gratitude for being flexible with the long week of snow and ice. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I’m a nearly 30 year old with a driving phobia who avoided getting my license for very many years. I finally got my permit in March and practiced a TON. Decided one day on a whim to call a driving school and schedule a driving test. My instructor was Eddie and the first first test with him I failed. But I’m glad I did, because he showed me everything I was doing wrong that could get me or someone else seriously hurt. Eddie was a police officer for 30 years and not only that, but he’s a father. He’s a really special instructor. He’s firm where needed because he CARES not only about you but about the other people on the road due to seeing things in his former career that nobody should have to see. My dad passed a few years ago and Eddie felt so much like a dad teaching me to drive that it just helped me ‘get it’. After my initial failure I scheduled a 30 minute test drive before and a driving test after. If you fail the first time I strongly suggest this because it helps you work out your nerves while driving and gives the instructor time to teach you further before your next attempt! I feel like everything happens for a reason, and Eddie being my instructor was what I really needed. You might not always love what he tells you, but he’s telling you because he cares. When you make a break through together you can really tell he’s as excited as you are. He really is a rare breed these days and I can’t express to him the impact he has made on my life. If you are an adult driver like me (or a parent of a new driver looking to pair their kid with an instructor who will teach them and really make a breakthrough) and want to take a stab at it, I strongly suggest Eddie. He won’t always be the ‘nice guy’ but he will make sure you understand why and learn the technique needed to be a safe driver because that matters most. Thank you, Eddie, for helping me tackle a phobia that has kept me down for years and has impacted my life. I can’t say another instructor would have done all you did. I am forever thankful for all you did in the two sessions I had with you. Can’t thank you enough. Also the front desk staff is amazing and so, so, so comforting and reassuring. Had a wonderful experience here. :)

Negative experience: For those considering the 911 Driving School located at 13009 NE Hwy 99 Suite 210, Vancouver, WA. I would encourage you to “NOT” use this driving school. After using the school for both the knowledge test and the skills test my wife and I have come to the conclusion that this driving school is nothing more than a revenue generation scheme, either perpetuated by the state or the school itself. Be prepared to take both the knowledge test and the skills test “twice.” When you show up for your knowledge test, the test questions will be poorly worded and you will find your driving handbook study guide of little help. The confusingly worded questions will cause you to miss just enough questions to where you'll have to retake the test, and most importantly for them, they will charge you another Knowledge Test fee, (i.e. the $40.00 dollar Knowledge Test fee will become $80.00 dollars). The Driving Skills test is much the same way. When you go down there, they will have just enough criticism of your driving skills that you will fail the first time and once again necessitate another Driving Skills fee, (i.e. the $60.00 dollar Driving Skills fee will become $120.00 dollars). The number of years you may have as a safe driver and/or your driving skill knowledge will be of little help. The old adage of "An instructor can fail any student at any time if they truly want too" is certainly applicable here. Driving schools should be in the business of fairly testing all of its applicants, and most importantly, teaching solid driving skills. There should not be a conflict of interest between making money for the business or State and passing students when they are clearly qualified, knowledgable, and capable. It appears that when the Washington department of licensing farmed out the Knowledge and the Skills tests to quasi-private government businesses they made a terrible mistake.

Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend this driving school to anybody thats going to take their skill test. The instructors are highly professional and very nice . Too nice where when your in park he will tell you 100% what you failed on and what you need to work on. this is a 10/10 fr me .

Fantastic experience: The best learning experience for my son and everyone was so patient and knowledgeable when he was first starting out. The admin team is top notch and helpful with scheduling or answering any questions I had. The instructors communicate clearly and ensures the expectations are understood. The staff was very supportive of him, he is a visual learner and they let him take pictures as necessary to go back and study later. Fantastic experience: Professional, understanding, and they get right down to business. I am really nervous (as any parent with a first time driver) about putting the most important people in my life behind a 4,500 lbs vehicle on the road with other 4,500 plus lb vehicles driving at high rates of speed. They helped me prepare them in conjunction with driving with family, they helped reinforce the basics and the importance of safe driving.

Fantastic experience: Our daughter hasn't started the class yet, but so far registration and access to her online account has gone smoothly. The staff are very responsive to emails and phone calls. And they've been good at communicating updates and changes related to the course we registered for. It has taken my daughter a few tries to pass the knowledge test and the staff she has interacted with were gentle about that with her, which I appreciate.

Fantastic experience: I signed my son up for the summer class and he learned a LOT! If there was something he needed improvement on for the drives each instructor took the time to properly show him and then would have him practice before the drive was over. The ladies in the office were always very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Overall, we’ve had a great experience. We appreciated being able to use remote classrooms and the instructor was, in turn, funny and deadly serious. He called out to students for participation to confirm they were engaged. Not all were. My daughter drove with a couple different instructors and in a couple different types of vehicles. She said the instructors were fine and she felt more at ease with one over another but I chalk that up to personal preference. Everyone was very professional and they do have the passenger brake control for their peace of mind. The office staff was very helpful and overlooked that we had purchased 6 drives instead of 5 but, on advisement, they quickly fixed things and got us going. I really appreciate that she was able to schedule her written exam at the Salmon Creek location. Overall, both she and I agree it was a good experience.

Fantastic experience: Our youngest used 911 for his driver's ed program. He completed the program in 2019, but he didn't test until Aug-2022. They were so accommodating when he decided to test, they had a cancellation and called us and he took and passed the test the next day. We totally recommend 911 Driving School to anyone needing driver's ed.

Fantastic experience: Great training, well organized. My only complaint is my daughter did well on all her drives and it took two tries for her to pass the drivers test. She ended up with an instructor she had never had on any drives and had a far different and more rigid approach to the level she needed to be at. Even the test she passed she didn’t get marked down on the same things she did with this instructor. Although, I like the approach this instructor has, it needs to be consistent across all instructors so it doesn’t just show up when they get to their drivers test. My daughter basically shut down and lost all confidence with her and did not perform to her ability.

Fantastic experience: It took me 2 knowledge test Accomplished/ 2 Driving test 2 do. Accomplished. 2 pass. 2 be eligible 2 get my hard copy of my license. The State of Washington, Has the hardest test in the USA. STUDY THOROUGHLY, BEFORE DOING THE TEST's. Or u get Dinged in your Wallet. I pick up my 1st Driver's license in my life today, 3/24/2022. This is a life changing moment 4 me And the staff at 911 are very professional in what they do and be ready for the test or its your money, lol. But no theses people are very nice people so if u don't pass, please don't take it out on them, they have their driver's license's. I lost my cool but they understand and helped me work through it and eventually I passed. The fees are 1 of the lowest you'll find for the testing in Washington State. And they supply the car to do it. Currently the fees r 30.00 4 knowledge And 45.00 4 the driving testing. I would refer anyone to them, but watch out for the Oriental guy at the Salmon crk site, I think he drinks to much coffee, na he's alright, I got just a little bit irritated with him. Because, . He asked me to back up around the corner and stop when he told me too and I did exactly that, just like all of the other direction's he asked me 2 do. and when we talked about the reverse manuever, I asked him why ? He dinged me for it ? He said , because u didn't do it like it says in there drivers manual, And I said u didn't ask me to do the reverse manuever I did it like u, told me 2 do, if u would have said do the reverse manuever I would have done it, by the book , you told me 2 backup around the corner and stop when u told me to, and I did. with also looking in my blindspots and mirrors and looking back through the back window and all of the other windows as well, And u failed me,in that manuever. Anyways I get it, maybe next time he would just say now please do the reverse manuever,and stop when I ask u too.I think that the question's asked ,should be by the book. Not open ended . I felt that he set me up by not saying just do the reverse manuever now. I do get my license today and thanks to the staff at 911 I get my first , Iisence ever. Thank you for your time. Fantastic experience: 911 Driving School goes beyond typical driving schools by making the students think about real world, practical driving practices. They explain the "why" for the rules of the road and how it protects the student and other people on the road. Our family does not have a lot of disposable income. That being said, this driving school is worth every cent. There were other schools for less money, yes, but at the end of the day, we wanted to ensure our son was given every tool and the best instructors. My advice to other parents is a simple question. Would you price shop a surgeon or would you want the best one in the hospital for your kid's operation? Set the stage for safe driving right from the start and give your kid every opportunity to stay safe on the road. It is life and death. Thank you to all the staff of the Camas 911 Driving School!

Fantastic experience: 911 Driving School is very professional and provides excellent instruction to our 15.5 year old twins, boy and girl. Instructor Cynthia Bull does a great job instructing the classroom material using Zoom and driving instructor Bob Kadow is very calm, professional and detail oriented. Great that this company uses former law enforcement professionals to instruct the classes. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting to learn how to drive...correctly!

Fantastic experience: Everyone at the 192nd office has been amazing over the course of this last year and a 1/2 and all during the shut down and phased reopening. The instructors are fantastic and a wealth of knowledge. They have the strong desire to not only equip our children with the safest of driving skills but they also want them to be successful to pass their required tests. Fantastic experience: I needed to take a defensive driving class to excuse a ticket. This is mostly a school for new drivers, but they accepted my case anyway. I'd been driving commercially for years already and I still learned some new things that have helped me. For new drivers, this is the best class. They're thorough, educational, and very kind and helpful. And all the teachers were police officers at one time, which I think gives them a sharp edge over any other competition. If you want or need drivers education, this is the best place.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a very good experience at 911 driving school. They are the most expensive around but you definitely get what you pay for! They were all professional and helpful. It was a bit hard to get driving appointments when she first started due to them being backed up from the Covid shutdowns but when I called in to inquire they were very helpful to help find a time and I think they added instructors/drives to help with the backlog. I would highly recommend them for their professionalism and thoroughness in tea all aspects of driving.

Fantastic experience: My daughter started in person driving school at 911 then approx 2 weeks later COVID-19 happened and shut everything down. The school was great with communication as to how class would happen and as soon as they got the go-ahead for drives again they were very quick to make arrangements for that to happen also. My daughter LOVED driving with Tim. She is typically quiet/shy around adults she doesn’t know and is easily intimidated by loud voices. Tim was very calming and encouraging.

Fantastic experience: In the midst of a pandemic, 911 was able to still provide my son with quality instruction. As an educator, I know how difficult that is at this time. Marty has been amazing and his flexibility and communication are top notch. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: I absolutely loved my experience here only the testers are super serious which makes it hard for anyone who uses conversation to calm down not actively available. Other than that, lovely staff and absolutely amazing people there. If I had to take my test again, I would do it again.
