Fantastic experience: My experience at Roadmaster was great!!! Especially Mr. Troy Harden, when I say that man taught me how to drive a semi from a to z! He was adamant on making sure I would be a great and safe driver! If you ever go to Roadmaster in Jacksonville, Florida request Mr. Troy Harden…!!! Oh before I forget Mr. Virgil is another one. Mr. Virgil polished every blemish you have to perfection…!!!

Fantastic experience: I went to school there. Instructors were fantastic on training me how to be over the road truck driver show me all road rules show me PTI help me memorize it all help me with everything. The staff is fantastic. Location is really clean and nice location and we got a new boss up there and he was fantastic.

Fantastic experience: I am an alumni, last week I went to visit Roadmasters and Troy is still there. I hope I'm not wrong but I am compelled to shear this story. 4 years ago I was homeless no Job sleeping under a bridge in Jacksonville FL no money didn't no how I was going to eat my next meal. A person by the name of Troy stop his car and gave me his breakfast he had just purchase from waffle House to eat. I will never forget this moment neither the time. At 12 noon he was going to Wendy's near the school for lunch he saw me again purchase him a lunch as well as me. I will never forget this he gave me the Wendy's bag and ask me if I had a good driver license I took my wallet out and showed him. He then said if you come with me you will never be homeless again because I can help you get a CDL. He took me to a recruiter name Richard, Troy ask him to please get him in school. I was able to get finance. I was giving a hotel room and didn't have to sleep on the streets anymore. I didn't have anything at all troy went to family dollar and purchased me a care bag so I could take care of my hygiene this man for 5 1/2 weeks Monday thru Friday bought me his left overs from dinner night before; on Friday he made sure he bought enough to last me 2 days. I graduated got CDL... It's 4 1/2 years later, I own my own truck and business I Just purchase my own house and I'm reconcile with my wife and kids... Roadmaster I want personally thank you for having instructors like Troy that goes far and beyond the call of duty... Troy I can't put into words what you are because you are much more then a teacher much more then a motivator, more then a coach but I will say this you are an angel in a Roadmaster uniform instructing and changing lives you Sir single handly change my life forever if it was not for you I probably would have died in the street so thank you Sir from the bottom of my hearts and depths of my soul I highly recommend Roadmaster above all the other schools in the country they are second to none.

Fantastic experience: The instructors and staff were extremely knowledgable and the school was actually a-lot of fun. We had some issues towards the end with some policies that didn’t make sense, however, Paul Sherman (Roadmasters VP) called me personally and was amazing. Our issue was settled in less than 15 minutes and the school went the extra mile to not only make it right but to insure things such as that would not happen in the future. I am a pretty good judge of character and absolutely believe what the man had to say. He did in fact deliver. With that said, I would recommend the school and I will say if you apply yourself, you will do well and the school will assist with job placement if you don’t have a carrier lined up already. Fantastic experience: Roadmaster's best trainers were Troy and Virgil. I liked their step-by-step maneuvering approach and they always made sure, before you got out of his truck, that you were comfortable and understood what you were doing. If they see good in you, they definitely push you to be better. Virgil is funny and teaches the best ways to correct your truck and to put it in when you're doing the maneuver. I liked the way they taught us, they will give you the best way to do everything perfect, guess what I passed my exams in just one try I passed the maneuver without error or point guess what thanks to Virgil and Troy i got my diploma, for Troy I really liked it when he said that "I like that, I like that, drive the truck, drive the truck " he's a good coach , the other thing I liked from them the moment you do 1 ride in another truck, they made us do 3+ drive, this is how you will be better and more comfortable, thanks to Troy and Virgil i couldn't do it without your help guys, thank you for helping me to get my diploma, you're the best

Fantastic experience: I just want to say a big thank you to Mr. Troy When I first started truck driving school, I was nervous and had no clue what to expect. But from day one, he made sure I had the support and guidance I needed to get through the process. He was patient, clear, and always willing to take the time to explain step by step He didn’t just teach me the skills to pass the test he gave me the confidence to believe in myself. That’s something I’ll always appreciate. Thanks to you, I officially got my CDL today, and I couldn’t have done it without your help. Fantastic experience: I’m giving 5 stars to the instructors, not the school, because there were some aspects of the school that felt disorganized for me. First, I want to thank Mr. Virgil. On my third day at the school, when Mr. Thomas took us out to see the pad, Mr. Virgil told me to get in the truck. It was my very first time getting into one, and I was nervous, but he reassured me, saying he "got me," and he meant every word. He taught me so much, not only answering my questions about trucking but also offering real-life trucking tips when I inquired. Thanks to his guidance, I started to better understand the truck and its operations. I would recommend anyone to work with Mr. Virgil because he truly wants to see his students succeed. He pushes you when he sees you're willing to learn, which is exactly what any great teacher should do. I also want to thank Mr. Troy. He taught me how to make corrections, and I became much better at it because of the way he broke things down for me. Once I understood that it's not about making mistakes but learning how to correct them, my skills improved significantly.

Fantastic experience: roadmasters is the go too, the instructors there makes sure that you get your backings on point and if you feeling that you need to work on something they will make sure they walk u through it over and over no matter how many times to make sure you are 100 with it. they are very communicative and very patient with you. i just wish they pay you while your in there while you a fulltime student. alot of students left there day to day jobs to go to trucking school so they can have a successfull career. but other than that if your down for it roadmasters is the go to to enter the truck industry. if you dont have a permit they will also work with you on that aswell

Fantastic experience: Just got my CDL! This is a wonderful school to go to. Troy was very helpful, encouraging and a magnificent teacher. I would highly recommend this school too anyone looking to get their CDL.

Fantastic experience: The top trainers at Roadmaster were Troy and Virgil. I liked Troy step by step maneuvering approach and he always made sure before you got out of his truck that you were comfortable and understood the steps. If he saw good in you he definitely push you to be better. Virgil was very funny and teaches ways to correct your truck without breaching or using any pull-ups. I liked that by the time you do 1 drive in others truck, he had us do 3+ back to back.

Positive experience: My experience at Roadmasters had a rough start, but it greatly improved once I had the chance to work with Troy and Virgil, two of the best trainers on campus. Both are true professionals who explain and demonstrate the curriculum in a clear and understandable way that really sticks. On the other hand, my experience with RJ and Tracey wasn’t as positive, as I feel their instructional and teaching skills could be better utilized in different areas. Overall, though, I enjoyed my time at Roadmasters.

I appreciate all the information, time and the answering of all the questions with patience. Roadmaster has a great team with tons of experience.

Fantastic experience: My experience was unique, even when you find that it could be unorganized at times, because they do need a couple more instructors or the hability to have instructors only have seniors or repeats all together and have them use the trucks to be able to practice much more. Now, the instructors: ( my POV) VIRGIL-the most patient instructor I’ve ever had, his explanations and help to master the maneuvers. He’s a great instructor.RJ- he’s a special kind of guy, sometimes miss understood and not appreciated, but he WILL stay on the pad the whole time with you, with his bright yellow hat on and teach you according to what you need. He is nice and directly to the book. Just keep in mind he’s there WITH YOU ALL THE TIME, you’re hot? He is too, you’re standing? So is he…I’m very grateful. TRACEY- she’s a new instructor, started with a lot of questions but by the time I left she had all down to the T, she is caring and understanding and to me was a example to follow…I want to be like her! MARK and DAVE- these two are the most awesome ppl I’ve encountered for a great conversation, they are pleasant and very knowledgeable, I find that their teaching have opened my mind and heart more towards trucking. Now TROY- he is a military guy that will keep you on your toes every single day. He understands when you find yourself overwhelmed, he sees how you are and accommodates his way of teaching for you…I don’t like loud voices much and he noticed it and for me he lowered his instructions and I had a wonderful time learning from him. THOMAS- he’s a big teddy bear, soft voiced, understanding kind person, but he will tell you like it is too! ANA- she’s the go to girl, solves and accompanies you THE WHOLE WAY, she listens attentively and has a genuinely beautiful heart. You have a concern? Talk to her and she will help in the best way she can. GALEN- he’s nice and knowledgeable too. VALERY- she’s the manager, she was very accommodating for me, she tried her best to get me where I needed to be, very nice person too. Trucking is a beautiful way to change your life, and the instructors that you get are always the most memories you have when u start. I appreciate and value my time with this team of people that are giving their knowledge of this industry to us. Thank you so much! I will remember each and everyone always!

Fantastic experience: My experience at Road master was great . They have excellent staff and trainers. I really want to shout out Mr. Troy and Mr. Virgil both were very knowledgeable without the two of them I would have never made it through the program. I can’t forget Mr. Dave he’s great and hella funny. Mr Mark makes you comfortable when driving that monster of a truck. And Mr Thomas gives you a lot of knowledge when your in his class. My only negative would be at the facility your told to stay off your phone which I understand. But when I was learning to drive over the road my trainer was more focused on his phone than my training.

He made this experience one of the best. He teaches with passion and dedication. And that is the most amazing valued aspect of his character. Fantastic experience: The experience was good overall. Great instructors from the classroom to the training pad as well as over the road instructors. All of the instructors were very helpful when it came to sharing information about different types of maneuvers and what to expect while your taking the state exam. I would definitely recommend a friend or family member to come to this school if they’re interested in obtaining there CDL’s.

Positive experience: My name is Jeremy I just got my CDL through road masters and I had a good experience it was a little rough at first because they were short staffed and had a lot of students but luckily I got the privilege to have Mr.Virgil as my instructor on the pad and he is more than good at teaching and Mike was able to show me a thing or two that helped me out a lot as well and Mark and David did there thing on instructing me on my road drives and thank you RJ for your help also and Thomas is awesome in the classroom so at the end of the day i got my CDL on the first try so thanks

Positive experience: Let me start off by saying I’m so grateful to pass and move on to the next steps in life! This experience here has definitely been a rollercoaster..the people who all work here are unique, but the school as a whole struggles a lot with proper organization and communication. I will properly give thanks to all the instructors as a whole they each taught completely different which in the beginning was extremely frustrating, but I will say I ended up using something from every single one of them in the end haha. Thank you Richard, because I passed my PTI with flying colors!! I’m all for over informing, because I don’t want to just know where and what it is, but truly why and how it works. Thank you Troy and Mike they provided me with a perfect setup that consistently worked in my favor. I adored both David and Mark they taught similarly, but two different personalities and that provided a balance. Mark keeps you humble and David keeps you light haha. I want to thank Virgil I had him literally my last day and just in time too, because where I got stuck in my exam if it wasn’t for his teaching I wouldn’t have passed. And lastly let me not even forget the man who started it all thank you Thomas for preparing us all for these new beginnings!!!!

Fantastic experience: Roadmaster has been the best experience I’ve had getting my CDL Class A license. To be honest I couldn’t have done it without instructor Troy, he was the best all around. He was caring, patience, and took his time with each student and found a way to communicate on all level that you need to understand the curriculum. He gave me confidence and strength to keep going when I felt like there was no hope left. I also want to thank Mr.Virgil as well he also deeply cares about his student and take his job very personal and professional on getting you to succeed on the pad. If you plan on attending Roadmaster make sure you find those two gentlemen and stick with them as they are excellent instructors, mentors, and role models and the reason I’m giving Roadmaster a 10/10.

Troy and virgil were super helpful and made me feel really confident specially when it came to learning the maneuvers, he always pushed his students to be better in times we gave up and was very helpful with whatever concerns we had when it came to learning. always helpful. Fantastic experience: Just passed my CDL Exam and could not have done any of it without the phenomenal trainers at Roadmaster! Huge shout out to Troy; phenomenal communicator, patient and most importantly knowledgeable! Guidance in my PAD training, guidance on my PTI and even guidance on my OTR, truly splendid trainer! Wouldn't have passed my OTR without Mark's guidance as well! The amount of effort he puts into each student shows in mine and other's driving!

He answers all the question and gives true insight in whatever direction you choose to go in the industry. Rj for giving me information that was truly needed for my success. He was so hyped at my success when I passed my state test you thought he took the test!! This dude right here is a great guy he will do great things, and he is passionate about his job. A great guy don’t forget he does stand up when ever thank you for helping me Virgil!! Mike is cool calm and collected. He helped me see the small things that over looked. At the end of my training he said that this is the beginning of your life. He sees the sweat and tears and even if he seems quiet the words he speaks is enough to make me go out in this industry and take whole grand heartedly! Thank you for believing in me!! Mark and Dave I couldn’t mention one without the other. They are great road instructors, both of there teachings coincide with each other. There teaching come together and all of a sudden you are driving like a pro. Beware of Dave his jokes will catch you by surprise lol. Thank you guys for my experience in making me a Pro driver on these roads!! Omar gave me a word of wisdom at the very beginning pay attention even if you are not in the truck watch everything. If I didn’t get that message the first week I would never have just took my state test one time and done. Thank you for your words of wisdom…

Fantastic experience: Roadmaster drivers school, the school that deserves its name of master. I learned a lot during my time there. They're doing a wonderful job there. And I thank all the staff and specially all these great teachers who's doing a remarkable job there in particular: Mr Mike, Mr Virgil, Mr David ... and how can we not mention the real, the tireless, the goat Mr TROY ... who gives his all so that everyone has the best possible teachings and skills. Fantastic experience: It was great experience I had one of the best teachers teaching every thing Tory and Virgil

Negative experience: I wouldn’t give this company a star at all but in order for me to leave a review I had to give them 1!! I can’t speak for anyone but myself and wouldn’t recommend no one to go to Roadmaster it’s over priced for the schooling and housing you’ll receive, especially the location in Jacksonville long as Valerie is running it she’s very rude and unprofessional, she mess up a lot of paperwork and has to have other staff members (Mrs.Anna, Mr.Troy) to fix her mess ups and still won’t take consideration of her actions. I can admit their are some staff members that makes you feel wanted there and their are some that you can tell are just there for a check. Before you choose Roadmaster you might wanna shop around because $11,000 is ridiculous and that’s subject to change at any time , and expensive if your not getting any help with funding and to graduate and still be out of a job, weigh your options!! Job placement is not guaranteed

Mr Virgil I also want to say thank you for being so calm, patient, and thorough working with me on the pad you taught me so much and I really appreciate you. Mr Dave, I will forever take with me the things you taught me on the road. Thank you also for the jokes to keep my nerves at ease. I’m confident that I will never hit a curb or take down a pole with your amazing advice. Last but not least, thank you Omar my examiner for all of your reassurance. You made it easier for me to stay calm during my exam. Overall this is a great school to obtain your cdl but my only issue is organization and making sure all the instructors have the knowledge of what needs to be taught SPECIFICALLY and that people who are testing soon have the updated information to pass the exam successfully. If you are coming here, please be prepared to learn and not miss days because everyday is worth the training and practice. You WILL need all of the practice so show up and take it seriously and ask for help anytime you are unsure about anything. I’m going from CNA/Phlebotomist to Trucker. Thank you road master.

Fantastic experience: Roadmaster have really good instructors who are truly dedicated with helping you learn everything about driving and maneuvering a commercial vehicle. Mike is great at teaching maneuvers on the pad for sure, Omar and Richard G. My experience wasn’t a great one with upper management in Saint Petersburg (Corporate Office) between his rudeness, and insensitivity it was leaving a sour taste in my mouth about Roadmaster. He is over the Manager in Jacksonville and has a horrible way of throwing his weight around. Students come here to learn and things happen I experienced a death in the family and not to mention financial problems while attending Roadmaster while the people at the school was understanding and accommodating he was not. He doesn’t listen to you yet alone give you any time to talk and has an attitude out of this world. It is sad that this is who we have to deal with yet alone the manager at Roadmaster I can only imagine how he treats his staff. Even though it was a bad experience dealing with him the instructors definitely turned it around completely I appreciate all of you!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this school for anyone in search of their class A cdl. Troy is one of the best instructors you could ever have an experience with. It will seem rocky at first but once you gather all your "know-how" together, it just clicks. You can not go wrong with Roadmaster as a driving school. Ohhh, I forgot to mention all the other instructors like Mike, Mark, David( who pushes for perfection on road driving) . All of these men are who you would want to go to if you have any problems. Fantastic experience: Roadmaster Drivers School was awesome for learning to get you cdl license . Troy was super helpful and made me feel really confident specially when it came to learning the maneuvers, he always pushed his students to be better in times we gave up and was very helpful with whatever concerns we had when it came to learning. Ana was great too, and always helpful. Dave really knew his stuff when it came to learn how to turn without hitting curves and gain confident on the road. Last but not least Richard did not make me feel nervous when taking my state exam he did a great job, Thanks to all of them and other instructors that I didn’t mention , i am ready to tackle my new career as a cdl driver. Positive experience: The school itself is great.. the instructors are awesome & very professional but they also know how to have fun & teach you the skills you need to succeed.. but the major complaint I have is against the school manager.... She doesn't know how to be a team player & isn't very good at doing her job either. The way she handles things isn't fair to her staff or the students that come through there. If not for her I'd give them a 5 star rating. Hopefully they get someone in there soon that knows how to be a manager as well as manage a successful truck driving school. From what I've seen the young lady that sits at the front desk as you walk in the front doors of roadmaster drivers school Jacksonville is the one doing the majority of the work that's supposed to be done by the school manager but instead Anna is having to do her job as well as the managers job on top of it.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience. One instructor by the name of Troy stood out above all, he got active when teaching with on hands training. He watched our every move to achieve perfection. Showed point by point instructions and made me and my class feel confident. Fantastic experience: I just graduated from Roadmasters Jacksonville & my experience was nothing short of amazing. Learning something new, especially in a huge truck can be nerve wrecking & scary but my instructor Troy was very encouraging!! He will make you feel comfortable behind the wheel while under pressure. Troy makes sure you understand each maneuver step by step & get you ready to be successful & obtain your CDL. Overall I really enjoyed school & all the instructors from the class room, PTI & out on the pad played a huge role in my experience & I’m forever grateful. Thank you!!

I had experienced a driving school previous to Roadmaster and I was giving up on being a truck driver altogether. Fantastic experience: I got a long list and I don’t know where to start so I’ll start with Troy. He really gave me a lot of knowledge. A lot of great advice and educated me. He is the Michael Jordan of Road Master. The G.O.A.T. Now I’d like to talk about Mark and Dave They too, gave me a lot of knowledge and educated me In the responsibility of being a professional Commercial driver. I also want to thank Thomas my classroom teacher because he was the first phase of my education and he gave me the Confidence to even take these tests I need to thank Galen for working with me on my PTI I was able to pass on my first try when I took my state exam I had to give him the credit.. I’d like to thank Mike also. He helped me fix a few things I couldn’t figure out .Last I want to thank the state examiner Richard that I had ..very patient never felt pressure from him In all ..My experience at Road Master driver, School is a five star experience… There may be some negative reviews out there, but I’m here to tell you Sometimes the students Were the ones that were negative each person that I encountered at the school Was helpful from Anna in the front office to Angie my recruiter To Valerie, the Manager at the school, do not hesitate to go here if you are serious about pursuing It . It is a fast paced school and it’s only for someone who is serious about learning Leave the negative energy at the gate bring an open mind and a willingness to learn. Fantastic experience: Wanted to take a moment to thank some of the staff at the Roadmaster Jacksonville FL location that had a big impact on my training process. Mr.Richard for training me on the road teaching me how to make my turns smooth and easy and always giving me encouraging words. Mr. Troy Oh Mr. Troy where do i start ..He definitely goes above and beyond for his students he will get you to where you need to be and get you on the road to success. He took the time out to make sure i knew and understood how to do each maneuver and had it down packed to the T .! I was able to practice and refresh myself on my maneuvers before taking my state exam because of him i successfully passed my test. Mr. David and Mr. Mark i wanna thank you for believing in me and showing me different ways to perfect my skills . New Instructor Mr. Mike he’s the goat in human form teaching me how to fix a problem i ran into on the pad I’ll never forget that lesson! Mr. G for teaching me on PTI he had me right and ready to go ! . My examiner was Mr. Omar he reads all instructions thoroughly and every clear so that u understand what you are instructed to do In order to preform everything you have been trained on to be successful in obtaining your CDL’s Thank you all for playing a major part in my life making me successful. !

Negative experience: I am extremely pissed today. I have been in school since February 12,2024. This is the most dysfunctional school that I have ever attended. There are two young ladies that was in my class. They came one week and two days and then disappeared for like two more weeks and came back for another day or two and left again same pattern. Today is April 2, 2024, and the Same two ladies that I was speaking about prior left at 1 PM. These young ladies have been provided special attention overextended with their help. Anyone black has issues or need to leave or take care of their kids a doctors not required your threatened to be put out of school. And these young ladies are Caucasian women and they are a couple as well. The school is already over priced. And you are not taught in the 4 to 5 weeks that they tell you that you will be completed. Instructors have quit because of the lack of communication skills. It would be nice if the same rules applied to everyone not just a particular race. This will conclude my review until I complete everything.

Fantastic experience: I graduated and got my class A CDL. Though I was there a little longer then expected it was positive experience. I made new friends in the industry and learned alot from the staff. Everyone employed there does there best. Troy, Dave, Mark, Kenny and Mike do there best for the students and truly care.

Positive experience: My experience at road master was ok. Had Troy an instructor who really looks out for everyone he’s a great teacher as well one of the schools gems , same goes for Richard who’s not a teacher but one of the examiners, great guy keeps it real and is great at teaching you how to drive when you go on the road with him. Mike a new instructor is real nice and understands his students and helps them understand the maneuvers. The school is really behind we are suppose to be in and out within 4 weeks then moving on it took me 7 weeks to finish and I was 1st in my class and that was me being lucky and having support of teachers and students and just like me they’re many others who didn’t fail but have to go through the process of spending unnecessary time doing nothing. Also like me a lot of us left our jobs and are far away from home so having to stay longer because the school is terrible at getting everyone in and out gets real frustrating. New classes load in every week without getting nearly as many people out as quick and just crowds everything up. Valerie needs to figure out a way because nobody including me would pick this school again if I knew the process would have been this long for no reason. If it weren’t for those people I mentioned above the school would get a 1 star rating.

Positive experience: I recently received my CDL training at Roadmaster of Jacksonville. I am so glad I chose this location. The teachers are experienced and extremely knowledgeable. The program may seem rushed at times however the instructors are thorough and completley hands on the entire time. From the classroom to the pad to the trucks I felt supported every step of the way. Mr. Troy was my biggest cheer leader. I can hear him screaming "Drive The Truck!!" in my dreams He makes sure you understand how to complete the maneuvers and most importantly how to fix your mistakes which helps build that confidence you need to be a professional driver. He definitely goes above and beyond for his students. Kenny, Richard, Mark, and Dave were awesome. They each taught me something that I will take and use to be a better driver out here out on my own. Definitely glad I chose RDS of Jax!

Fantastic experience: I’ve graduated yesterday I wanted to speak on my time at Roadmaster. My instructor was Troy and I had him for the whole time I was out on the pad. I literally learn all I needed to learn all in a matter of 3 days. But what stuck out to me most was how he taught me how to fix my mistakes. And for that I know that I’m going to be a professional driver for Werner. Richard and Kenny was my driving instructors and they taught me how to make perfect turns, right and left, and how wide I needed my turns. Richard and Kenny rock! I appreciate Valarie, I had a couple of things that popped up and she still made sure I stayed on track. Now I’m just waiting to take my state exam.

Fantastic experience: Roadmaster Drivers School is more than just a school it is a place to learn, grow, and master the ability you need to know to drive a tractor/trailer with determination, knowing that you were trained by the best. Fantastic experience: Great school if it wasn’t for the instructors there would be no SCHOOL! Troy, Kenny and David was top tier. TROY AND KENNY TEACHES YOU HOW TI WALK ALL OVER AGAIN. THE TEACHERS MAKE THIS SCHOOL. There was a few bumps due me coming when the state change the rules and the manager was getting use to the changes. Be very open and communicate through the whole process to make sure you are good on your end and their end. Attendance and punctuality is everything stay up to par. TROY IS A TEAM KENNY IS A TEAM DAVID IS A TEAM stick with them you get handed that diploma.

Fantastic experience: I have to say when I first got here I was nervous, I never thought I was cut out for this trucker life but as the days pass I found myself wanting to learn more and more. Everybody there was cool. The instructors was good at there jobs they taught me how to really drive the truck. All the instructors was great Troy really helped me figure out how to passed the test. When I was struggling he took time out to break down and show me how to maneuver the truck. He stayed on top of me and made sure that I did what I had to do in order for me to get it. Without Troy I probably wouldn't have passed the final step. So I have to really thank him for his hard work and the effort he put forth. I thank Valerie for her help as well. Fantastic experience: DRIVE THE TRUCK in Troy’s voice! Roadmaster “Jacksonville location” is a pretty good school. First I’d like to give thanks to recruiter Katy for helping get me signed up and ready for school. Secondly to all the instructors Royce, Bill, Dave(PTI master instructor), Kenny, Richard and Troy. All are great instructors. These guys are very passionate. Thirdly, I’d like to give a special shout out to Troy. Mr. Drive the truck! He equipped me with the necessary skills to pass school. Honestly, I may owe instructor Troy a percentage of every cent I earn. Without him I WOULDN’T have passed(I was struggling lol). His teaching technique is unmatched! He encouraged me and told me I could do it and I believed him! I completed school on a very good note. When I took my exam I was confident to perform all the maneuvers because Troy had worked with me to figure out how the truck and trailer works together. For anyone interested in the Jacksonville location look for Troy.

Positive experience: My experience at Roadmaster was a good experience. I’ll start by saying the instructors was amazing. I learned PTI from Mr.Dave he taught it well. Mr. Kenny was great for on the road driving learning the L turn and it helped me to never hit a curb. Mr. Troy is the instructor to go to if you need help with any of the backing maneuvers. He teach very well and to your understanding. If you making a mistake doing you maneuver, he will show what you’re doing wrong and teach you how to fix it . I was having trouble passing my exam because of one maneuver. With a couple more days of practicing with Mr. Troy I got it right and passed my exam. Maybe they can work on the teaching the same techniques, because every instructor teaches different. You can easily get confused, because they all say similar things but sometimes different things. If you’re going to stay in the school hotel . I’ll advise you to probably look for your own. They Red Roof Plus they put you in doesn’t have a breakfast like they tell you on the contract. It’s also 15 miles away from the school, so if you don’t have a roommate with a vehicle that might be a problem. Getting a Lyft for 4-6 weeks is outrageous, all the money you’re paying you expect them to provide a van or something for you to get there. You don’t get paid for going here so just make sure you have a way to school. If you have a lot of people in your class, you could only be in the trucks for 2 to 4 a day it just depends. Make sure you keep up with your hours, your hours is very important. Especially when it comes to you being done with the course . If you don’t have a certain amount, they’ll have you staying longer than you are expected to. Other than that Roadmaster was a good school to learn .

Fantastic experience: My experience at Roadmaster is going to be very memorable for a few reasons. My classmates and other students attending came from all walks of life. For me, being social comes after a certain level of comfort. So, until that point, I am usually quiet and just observing. I found it to be interesting at the number of one-on-one conversations I had with classmates and others individually. Everyone I spoke with had a real genuine reasoning for being there. Teamwork was important to some degree, especially for my younger classmates because it helped keeping each other motivated and focused at times where the curriculum became challenging. Some of my classmates I really appreciated the time spent together and going over material and the good times with the bad times we shared. The instructors were amazing in their own way. Some of the curriculum had us rotating between different instructors which I think was good because it provided us with a mixture of information based off of the trucking industry and insight with their personal experiences. I really enjoyed the time spent on the pad with the instructors and my time out of the road getting in the driving hours. For me, driving on the road is therapeutic, and the time served as a reminder of the feeling it provided years ago with my time in service. If I had any suggestions or requests at this point of my review, it would be to expand the number of trucks and instructors so future students may receive adequate time to practice maneuvers to get more comfortable with the truck and its movements. The new modernized CDL test. I was a part of the first class to test out with the new changes. I think poor planning, preparation, and lack of communication created a recipe of discomfort and frustration for many students. We spent a majority of our pad time practicing the old maneuvers to reach our 180 hours, then be told we had to spend additional time to learn a different move-set that we were to be tested on. I understand things happen and sometimes you have to just wing it and hope things work out. However, moving forward, hoping things become more structured and goal oriented to help the students meet success. Overall, I really appreciated the experienced and I learned a lot from the program. I also learned a lot about myself and my capabilities. Thank you all and I will remember the experience for a long time.

EVERY single instructor that taught me, truly showed they had a vested interest in my success, believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Whether it was explaining how something worked (Dave), putting a concept into simple understandable terms that I could understand (Kenny) or encouraging me and pushing me to make that trailer do what -I- wanted it to (Troy). Every whistle, every “Stop!”, every “Get out of my truck!” and every “Listen man…” was given with the intent to convey knowledge. Showing their ability and strength as instructors. Was everything perfect? No, nothing is. Yes, there were things I’d could suggest. But the positives FAR out weigh the negatives. So, if you are looking for Entry Level Driver Training, you can get that here. However, even more valuable than just knowledge, at RoadMaster Driving School of Jacksonville, you can get encouragement, support, start a new career and meet some amazing instructors and wonderful class mates. Positive experience: I don’t know why but I made a post yesterday but for some reason I don’t see it so I’m going to make another one. I had a good experience at Roadmaster. Troy is the best instructor at Roadmaster Jax. He goes above and beyond to make sure you know how to master each maneuver. If it wasn’t for him I don’t think I would had been as successful as I was on the exam. Really appreciate him for real! Kenny was a great help too.

Fantastic experience: I just graduated from Roadmaster and wanted to say thank you to a couple of instructors. Troy and Kenny are the best! They have very different styles, but together they shaped me and gave me the skills to pass the state exam. Kenny helped me move past the basics and pushed me to be a better driver. Troy helped me refine my skills and learn from my mistakes. I'd work with both of them again any day.

Fantastic experience: CDL Class A achieved! Special shoutout to Mr.Troy and Mr.Kenny. Both instructors provided very precise instructions. Mr. Troy is a amazing instructor regarding his persona, teaching methods and maneuver error compensation instructions. Mr.Kenny was great aswell, very cool demeanor and sharp persona. Awesome experience learning the maneuvers with these two professionals. Mrs.Valerie the manager is awesome also regarding driving and placement requests. Of course, Mrs. Kathy the admissions, guided me thru everything and also helped my brother get his CDL 16 years ago.

Fantastic experience: Glad I enrolled here! I knew I was gonna drive trucks regardless because thats the career my heart has been set on, but I wasn't expecting everyone to be so nice or be as good at what they do. Even the school manager Valarie is always willing to help you in anyway she can, she always has a smile on her face. Yes, there is constructive criticism, but it comes from a place of love, none of the staff are ever disrespectful. Everyone deserves a 5 star rating, but special shoutout to the real MVPs (that I personally worked with): Kenny, David, Bill, Troy, Henry, and Richard! You guys outdid yourselves, keep being real!

Fantastic experience: Wish I had pictures! I was skeptical stepping into this school, being a female that isn't used to being roughed, but the instructors were nothing but gentle and respectful! You end up becoming friends with your instructors, they quickly figure out the teaching style that'll work for you, and they don't stop until you get it right. I did 1 week in the classroom with Thomas, and he was super cool. Dave was super fun in PTI! That man ensured we all laughed while learning the parts of the truck. On the pad, I starting off with Kenny, he kicked the nervousness right out of me with my first maneuver, he's always smiling and I looooved that about him. I was fortunate enough to do a one-on-one with Mark to perfect my offset, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Troy A.K.A "The G.O.A.T", was the first one to show me how to do the alley dock. Though I never spent much time with Troy on the pad, there's a reason why they call him "The G.O.A.T". I spent the rest of my time on the pad with Bill, he's been nothing but a pleasure to work with! He kept saying 'I'll make sure you get it right', and he delivered on the promise! I had the pleasure of going on the road with Scott, I was scared at first, but he shared the tips on how to handle the road. Henry was my other road instructor, and the one I did my evaluations with. Henry was on leave when I started, he returned in my third week of school so I didn't know what to expect; having worked with him, its safe to say I'll miss him. He did his best to make sure we were relaxed, only stepped in when he needed to. He sought out the things that needed fixing, and he helped us to do just that. All the training received from these amazing people, prepared me for my state exam with Richard. Richard was one of the best to work with, he always had a smile on his face and kept reminding me every time I said I was nervous, that I could do it, and I did it! Valarie, though new to her role as school manager, did a superb job. She worked with me to customize my lessons so I could excel, and for that I am grateful. Though I've never worked with Omar, still gotta big him up, real youth! All in all, I loved it here, passed the stated exam on the first try. I would recommend Roadmaster to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Troy is an amazing instructor; he’s not here now but I truly feel if it wasn’t for his advice and guidance i definitely wouldn’t have made it through to get my CDL. He’s top tier and a very caring instructor.

Fantastic experience: I would like to give thanks to all of the instructors I’ve had. Troy for being able to help me through all of the maneuvers, also not giving up on me . He is one of the best instructors I’ve had. also the other best instructors I’ve had is Rob , Kenny , mark , bill , Thomas & Dave . I wouldnt have graduated with out all of their help and knowledge they’ve passed down to me . I’ve learned alot from each and everyone of them. They definitely worked with me and had patience and believed in me . Also cannot forget the best examiners Omar & Richard .
