Fantastic experience: The school was very organized. The instructors are very good and they teach you with clear instructions and are very involved. I’ve never driven a manual in my life and they gave me 5 hours to learn. This course is veteran friendly for educational benefits with Post 9-11 and Montgomery GI Bill. They also have recruiters to come out and talk to students to try and get you on the road ASAP. I highly recommend Daly’s.

Negative experience: I inquired about CDL training from this school in January of this year. The reason being was it offers part time weekend course that work with my schedule. The prerequisite outlined to me in email was, as follows and I will add them to photos as evidence. Thank you for your inquiry. We instruct both the A and B CDL licenses. You must have a GA license and be able to pass a DOT physical and Drug Screen in order to obtain a CDL in the state of GA. The B course is for smaller trucks: box, cement and dump. The A course covers the B and is for the 18 wheelers. The A course is either during the week or just on weekends (part-time), the b course is during the week only. Our training hours are 7am-5pm. Please give me a call during my work hours below or email me with any further questions you may have. Office hours are 8-4. Class A Cash Tuition: $3995 plus $438 in state fees ($361 of state fee are paid to the school, balance at DDS). There is an additional $500 for shift training. We require a $900 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot. The balance of tuition and fees are due on your first day. Our next available start date is February 12, 2024 and we book on a first come first serve basis. It doesn’t mention anything about CDL PERMIT before payment. Ultimately I paid a deposit based on this information they gave. I went to orientation and was given access to online education. There is no classroom training for this permit you must have to actually take the class. Kathy told me I wasn’t permitted to go to class AFTER I paid bc I failed the permit exam which I had to study ON MY OWN. Mind you I know nothing about a truck!!! I asked her for the next steps so she can offer me some solutions ! Do you think ANYONE CAME UP WITH ANYTHING FOR ME IN WRITING OR OTHERWISE???! I emailed and called and this company / Kathy .. whoever reads emails there and ignored it, GHOSTED me! When I called the second time they let a male instructor talk to me and he admitted the online course wasn’t sufficient and to actually use A WHOLE DIFFERENT CDL APP to learn the permit exam. I asked specifically if a pre requisite to be in class was the permit and he apologized and said a prerequisite is to have the CDL PERMIT! They don’t teach the permit! I took the permit exam twice and failed. The questions change on the dds. Apparently weekday classes have actual training according to their schedule. Weekend classes get the short end of the stick for the same price zero class instruction. I signed up for weekend class NOT weekday classes. They said I need a permit the following week after orientation and take the permit exam during the week. All these requirements about weekDAY activities weren’t told before I signed up. They have since put me in collections for 5 days of taking the course. This is IMPOSSIBLE SINCE I signed up for WEEKEND CLASSES!! Now I’m in collections over a service KATHY told me I was dropped from! They have the communication skills for collections but NOT to CALL OR EMAIL ME BACK! I am the customer! Where was my CUSTOMER SERVICE?!?? It’s unscrupulous sales tactics! Be aware for every driving school CDL PERMIT is a requirement! Don’t pay anything to anyone until you have acquired your permit on your own! This school Doesn’t teach a permit class JUST YARD training which they told me AFTER I completed payment. They should be ashamed of themselves! Moreover, I am a VETERAN and they told me there is no military discount but also didn’t tell me I could use VA funding! Dalys company sales tactics go against everything ethical! IF KATHY or whomever would’ve called me back or emailed me back this review wouldn’t look like this! It’s like working with people from a third world country! What kind of nonsense is this for GEORGIA! I hope someone named Kathy reads this and calls me back after all these months to CORRECT this

They instructed you step by step thru the process. The instructors are great and teach you what you need to know and why you need to know it. Fantastic experience: I want to start off by saying that Daly's Truck Driving School is in my opinion the best Truck Driving School available now. There is not one negative thing I can say about them. I will say this Daly's is not designed for you to fail. I will be honest most instructors there having been driving trucks forever and are pretty much in retirement mode, so they are only there to help people get there CDL license and to give themselves something to do which is the best type of instructor there is. But with that being said DALY'S TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL IS A ADULT EDUCATION LEARNING FACILITY. This not high school there is no favoritism. No one there will hold your hand when it comes you having to follow basic directions and studying and doing what you need to there is no easy way around it PERIOD. As far as the amount of time it takes to get your cdl is by far the fastest. Frist week orientation, permit acquirement (Which you will have to get at dds), and canvas completion. 2nd and 3rd week nothing but truck training Manvers in the yard, on the road driving. 4th week Test time. They also have a great finance program for some people like me who didn't have the money at one time so like I said earlier they are not designed to fail you or put you in a bad spot. If you are truly trying to make a life and career change this is the place where it will start from. I highly recommend Daly's to everyone even if it's a far drive it worth it. I literally drove Stockbridge, Ga to Buford / Sugarhill to go to this school when I had about 2 or 3 schools right around the corner AND I DO NOT REGERT IT AT ALL. so overall I give Daly's a 100/100.

If you are committed and are willing to put in the hard work they will do anything to help you get your license.

Exactly 4 weeks from starting I now have my class A CDL! One and done! The trainers were awesome. I had issues with my maneuvers in the beginning but Adam and bulldog was so patient with me which gave me hope that I can complete a maneuver properly. After the instructions they gave me I was doing great. I loved the fact that you can test at the school which made me more confident to pass the test on the first try!! I appreciate the school for everything and I would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I absorbed so much in these 3 weeks. There are a lot of personalities on the yard. Teaching styles may vary, but they are all an excellent font of knowledge when it comes to truck driving. Everyone was open to sharing their trucking experiences! Overall, my hard rating is a 4.7. My only major note would be to ***MANUAL STUDENTS**. They offer 3 hours of manual training. You WILL likely need to come to the school on your off days to practice DRY SHIFTING (up and down). (Especially if you have never driven a manual vehicle before). You need to get comfortable with double clutching. I recommend having an instructor sit down with you while the truck is NOT moving and ask them SPECIFICALLY how to shift and double clutch. Watch their technique like a hawk. Once again, you need to come in and practice, practice, practice, practice. I am glad to have my passed 1st go round , but it was no give away. Make sure you come in early or stay late to practice. Take initiative!! You can do it! Teamwork makes the dream work.

Positive experience: 1. Great school, very professional. Worked with Bulldog, Adam, Jorje, they are great teacher to work with. Passed my exam in first attempt. During my training I was struggling with straight back and parallel parking. Bulldog said, bring any problem to him he will help and will fix it. It really happened. They spend time with each student and make sure grow in each step. 2. Men's bathroom has bad smell all the time during my training, Daly's management need to fix it. 3. The maneuvering area, trucks does not run smooth in parallel parking in particular. When we press accelerator it jumps suddenly and may cause injury to teacher or student.

If you are manual and inexperienced, it's going to be rough if you don't take advantage of what the school offers. Stay after and don't be afraid to come in on your off days or down time to practice. Fantastic experience: If you really have the desire to get your CDL, then this school is an excellent choice. The program will feel accelerated because it is. They guide you the whole way from no CDL to permit to fully licensed but they aren't going to hold your hand. You will have to study the material. The instructors will teach you everything you need to know about driving on the road and maneuvers. You are given plenty of time and attention to get the skill set down. The school wants you to succeed so if you dedicate yourself, they will dedicate themselves to you.

Negative experience: Former Instructor: Daly’s have only one male toilet for the entire student body. If you are excellent they will want more money out of you by prolonging the testing process(failure). There has only been one colored lead instructor in the past so they don’t hire to that effect. If a prospective student chooses to train at that school, train at your own risk. Be suspicious of those 5 start reviews. Many lies were made up about me and I expect more lies if anyone cares to comment.

Negative experience: I called this morning to inquire about class B training for myself I wanted to know the requirements and how long is training . I was greeted by Kathy Bomia who was not very helpful but had the worse attitude when answering the phone. I have been looking for schools in my area and Daly’s was my first pick… I kindly asked Kathy because I felt rushed on the phone i asked her if she can email me the information about the course regarding dates ,times, tuition and what takes place after the completion of the program and this is what she sends me . Please train Ms Bomia customer service and how to talk to people and deal with the community people like this makes companies lose money fix your attitude Kathy. I haven’t even attended yet I rather take my money elsewhere thanks Daly’s

Fantastic experience: I graduated from Daly's Truck Driving School in 2010. Back then they offered weekend classes for eight weekends as well as 2 week 5 day classes for class A. I had an amazing teach and coach( Scott and Mike). They challenged us and made it fun in the process. I remember getting hat and having it signed for passing the road test in on the first try. I have and will continue suggesting potential driver to Daly's Truck Driving School!!
