Fantastic experience: I’m happy I chose 1st Choice Driving School. Rajesh was very patience and making sure that I had my turns and parking perfectly right. I was a bit nervous and he assured me that I would be fine. He also instructed me to keep in mind the placement of the cones so I can parallel park with no problem. I would like to say thank you to Rajesh for his help and patience. I was able to pass my road test with flying colors , I also forgot to mention that the vehicle was nice and clean.

Negative experience: Horrible service would change times a few times after they confirmed appointment and didn't tell me!! Not helpful, the instructor kept pressing on brakes for no reason!!! Did not care about helping only wanted their money!! would not recommend!!!!

Take your money elsewhere… tried black mail to not leave an honest review… refused to return my sons permit unless I took down review… he employs illegal immigrants who don’t know English and expects them to teach… he has no respect for his Hindu upbringing as he is a terrible business owner with horrible customer service… he is immature and catty like a woman

Fantastic experience: Valentina is an extremely patient, friendly, and lovely teacher. I had no confidence when I started. She boosted my confidence level and made me pass my driving test in just 3 weeks. I passed on the first try in Edison. Without her, I could not have done it. As per the company itself, they are money minded and took advantage of the situation to charge me as much as possible. They employ a bait and switch strategy. You start off with a cheaper price then the price just goes up and the attitude is "take it or leave it". I had to take it because no one can replace Valentina's teaching skills.

Fantastic experience: All I did was rent the car for my road test and just in that little bit of time the instructor built my confidence!!!! She was very detailed and direct. No what ifs. Straight to the point. This is what they will ask and this is what you will do. I passed first try! Thank you sooo much 1st choice

Negative experience: Owner rarely answers his phone, and texting was a nightmare. You have to repeat yourself so many times, I offered to call and make sure he understands but he just kept putting off returning a call. And communication between the owner and the workers is WORSE. We made an appointment for my son a week in advance for a lesson with Rajesh and the road test the same day, agreed on paying by Zelle and the time of pickup. I paid that SAME DAY. The day comes and my son is picked up and taken to the lesson, but before going to the road test the instructor tells him to pay the entire bill. My son was unsure, he wanted to call me but the instructor pressured him into paying then and there or he can't use the vehicle for the road test. So my son paid AGAIN because he was afraid of missing his road test!!!! I called and made the owner aware of the mistake and his employee's disrespectful treatment, and apparently he didn't even know I paid a week ago either! There is no excuse for the lack of bookeeping in a business, and much LESS for how the instructor communicated it to my SON. They had MY NUMBER and could've cleared it up with me ANYTIME. There is NO reason to confront a MINOR last minute. You can imagine I was LIVID. Doesn't even deserve one star. Absolutely disgusting how my son was put in this position. We got our money back, but that day was one big headache. Think twice before choosing this place, make your lesson appointments in advance with a better school to avoid these pains.

Fantastic experience: Scheduled an “pre-road test” training session with SP(Sharvil) for 2 hrs. The whole training experience was pleasant and informative. I have couple months of driving experience with supervision but I was still upset about the parallel parking since it was kind of different from reality. In the training, I focused on practicing it while he showed his own “trick” with me which actually helped me pass the test later. It is highly recommended for new drivers to learn from him. But make sure you have enough training before going to test. Hope you can actually learn something from here and passes the test.

Fantastic experience: Moustafa was my instructor today and we practice for 1 hour he taught me the parallel parking , k-turn etc .I passed on my first try . Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test through this school! The instructor was always calm and helpful. This school found driving appointments for me without a long wait, unlike some other places. They scheduled a driving test for me with DMV within 2 weeks. The price was not the cheapest but the service was worth it. I went from scratch to a passed DMV test in 1 month. But it took a lot of practice (not only with the instructor). Watching YouTube videos helped: different instructions explain different details, and you are not left with only one person's expertise. The school's instructor helped me expand my knowledge from YouTube and put it into practice. And the result was road certainty and a passed test!

Fantastic experience: Very very satisfied. I was calling around last minute looking for a vehicle for the road test. I gave up but then received a text from 1st choice asking if I needed a vehicle. I set it up through text, paid my invoice through text and the instructor Anya (sorry if I'm wrong we yapped a lot but I'm bad with names) was awesome. Helped me to not be nervous, gave me some pointers and was all around so relaxing. I will definitely be using them for my son's when they move here from California. Negative experience: I was told I would have the same car from my 6 hours and my one practice day before my road test, the day of my road test I got picked up in a Honda CR-V That I’ve never driven in my life and failed my drivers test because I couldn’t parallel the CRV because I’ve never driven an suv in my life. NEVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not think this has anything to do with Moustafa Has anything to do with he Is an amazing teacher, but this is unacceptable

I flubbed the first time entirely from being too nervous and passed the second, but both I would recommend. Very detailed, explained everything I needed to know, and easygoing.

He was exceptionally patient and helped me thoroughly practice turns and my road test route multiple times. Negative experience: I explained to Mustafa about my 2 kids having NY licenses. He told me he can take them. I inquired about everything before choosing him. as 2 kids were not cheap. I decided to go with him. My kids did there lessons. Then when it came time to the road test. He never replied back to my son. Which my son didn't tell me he never responded. so i had to get involved now to see what happened he said an additional $200. I simply asked him why did he leave that detail out. His response was we don’t work for Free. I said wow i don’t expect you too. Just simply want to know why was that important detail left out and you didnt reply back to my son! I was happy with the service up until this point. I have the text messages to prove how unprofessional he was. I simply asked about all the details in advance.

Fantastic experience: I rented their car for road testing and booked a 2-hour warm-up session right before the road test. Booking the appointment with 1st Choice Driving School was seamless and quick. My instructor was Moustafa. He was absolutely great. He was patient, thorough and full of good tips. Fantastic experience: i had sadee first he was a very bad instructor for my first time driving!! he made me feel very uncomfortable and seemed very disinterested with teaching me he also came VERY late which allowed me to only have 1 hour with him.. however my second time driving i was introduced to Saad he was the complete opposite he is very hands on he was very interested in teaching me he was very engaged and made me feel very confident with my driving skills he taught me a bunch of skills within 2 days and was very good with correcting my wrongs!! overall i had fun driving with him and if you want the RIGHT instructor for first time driving request with Saad!!

Fantastic experience: Mustafa is the best instructor u can ever find. He is honest, he is patient and a motivator. He never got annoyed even if I kept repeating mistakes. I had my road test last week and he was by my side till the last moment. He made sure I was doing everything right, tried to calm me down when I was nervous,and even provided me a seat cushion so that I was more comfortable. I really appreciate his patience and dedication to the work he does. He really cares about getting you the license and also at the same time helps you to drive safe too. Fantastic experience: Moustafa was the greatest instructor. I got my license for the first try after one session. He was very patient and you could tell he really cares about his job and teaching people to drive. He was very nice and he let me practice before my driving test. If I could give 10 stars I would. Also the prices are really cheap. And i recommend this driving school 100% friendly, professional service for a cheap price you cant beat that.

Fantastic experience: Great driving school, which helped me immediately to overcome the fear of busy New Jersey Roads and Highways and today I successfully passed the driving test. My trainer was Saad, he has amazing style of teaching with a lot of patience, virtuos, always calm. He teaches very safe driving techniques, he taught me parallel parking in a very easy way and at the test it all worked simply great! Even at the first lesson, my fear of highways and big roads vanished and now I drive very confidently. The School has very flexible hours, which one can negotiate depending on your personal case. No long waiting time, I could start really from the current week, I needed to start.

I would like to personally thank the instructors, Saad and Justin, for helping my son gain the confidence to drive and pass his road test.
