Fantastic experience: Don’t think twice and go with Falcon, and ask for Jimmy! I’m so glad I followed the reviews and went with him. He is on time, super thorough with instructions, and his 3-step to parallel parking will let you nail it every single time. He’s also not just focused on making you pass, but also want to make sure you can drive safely after you pass - so he will also give you tips on how to drive in town, which was super helpful. On my day of the test, I was picked up by another instructor Dino - he was great too! On time, and he gave me a lot of valuable tips on the DMV venue, the test itself. You can’t go wrong with either of these guys! I did the package deal (3 classes and pick up on day of test- this was reasonable price, and each class is 1hr 45mins I think. I suggest doing early in the mornings so there’s less cars out)

Fantastic experience: I have to take my road test and needed a car so I called Falcon. Gerard, who is a driving instructor drove me to my test. He was great! Although I’ve been driving for years, he gave me a quick course in the test taking process and I passed with ease.

I scheduled my practice an hour before I had my road test and within the hour Gerard was able to teach me the basics and encourage me to be able the pass the Newark Road Test on my 1st try. Negative experience: Very bad driving school - do not go here unless you want to fail. They clubbed 2 other students during my road test and I had to wait for all of them to finish before they dropped me home - and they did not even inform me about this arrangement beforehand which cost me double the time off at work. The driving instructor who taught me was impatient and did not teach parallel parking correctly. Also on the day of the road test during the practice session they sent a different instructor who confused me further asking not to follow the technique taught by the previous instructor, was himself unsure.

Fantastic experience: Would be a disservice to this business and the heights neighborhood to not return and give 5 stars all around. Not only the best teacher Dino was available throughout my process but the staff and main lady Cathy was solid, transparent, and very encouraging. Highway time!

Fantastic experience: Didnt really practice with the school but used their services for road test. Owner was an amazing person as she gave me tips on the day and basically told me the whole rundown on how it was suppose to go. I was nervous at first but got calmed down and got through my test with a perfect score.

Negative experience: I never wrote a review before but these people are ridiculous, they are extremely unprofessional so I wanted to write a review to let other people know. Many other reviews say how they are unprofessional and rude & they’re not lying. I told them I’m booking with a different school and the lady called me and my GRANDMA from 5 different numbers saying how they’re better and they’re the best I need practice and I won’t find another appointment when i literally did. They also said how they’ll lower the price to 235 & next to 135 because I booked with someone else . They also ask for Zelle deposits ?? Don’t go here they’re so rude and honestly whoever wants to reply to my review from the company in advance I’m letting u know I don’t care.

Fantastic experience: I am super glad to write this review for Falcon driving school. I have never driven a car in my life before I start my driving lesson on 10/25/2023. I got a clean Nissan Sentra for my training and the same car I got for my road test. With the 6 days of training under jimmy, I cleared my road test in the first attempt. Even the officer in DMV appreciated me for my perfect P- parking. Jimmy was so patient with me, taught me a a bunch of techniques and gave me a bunch of tips to drive safely and park and turn the car easily. He is a great human being who respects the time and effort you invest in the lessons. Thank you Jimmy from the bottom of my heart, you are a gifted teacher. Positive experience: I’ve worked with Falcon Driving School for a while now. It took me longer to pass than usual - not that I didn’t get proper training, but I just panicked each time. The school has gotten better over time. Before, the administration wasn’t good with tracking and sometimes you would get asked if you paid even though you already did. In the event you lost receipts to prove you paid, then you can imagine how crazy it would get. However, that is no longer much of an issue now. Looks like they now have better systems to help manage that and track appointments and payments. My favorite drivers are Jimmy and Tim. Dino is good too. However, come rain or thunder, never book with the old lady Carnie. She is rude, treats you like a child and yells all the time. DO NOT WORK WITH CARNIE After failing several times, the school made concessions for me to make the road test a better experience and I credit them for that. Overall I recommend the school and I believe they’re always looking for ways to get better and improve the experience of student drivers.

Negative experience: I am writing this review so that others are aware ahead of using this company. To be fair, my experience was not ALL BAD however there were a number of challenges I would want to warn future customers of so they are informed ahead of making a decision to use this company. Positive: I am an adult, learning how to drive. The instructors I had for both of my lessons, Tim and Dino were kind, patient and respectful. When taking my driving test I was prepared and I credit this preparedness to both of them. They were on time for pick up and ensured I was comfortable when driving around Jersey City while practicing. Negative: The Office Staff are constantly changing appointment times, require you to send money over Zelle which is nerve wracking when you have never worked with a company before and are NOT flexible with appointment times. If you make an appointment, BE SURE you can make it otherwise you will loose your money even if there is a tropical storm. Cars are dirty Day of the driving test my average experience thus far took a turn. When I was picked up at my house by an instructor I had not previously met there was another student in the car. I had requested a lesson before my test. Instead of receiving a dedicated lesson I was required to drive around Jersey City to drop off and pick up other students who would be going to the driving test in Lodi at the same time. I WAS NEVER ADVISED that I would be going with OTHER STUDENTS, and especially not the fact that my lesson would be driving around Journal Square during rush hour traffic. For the parallel parking practice he pulled down a random road, let me do it once meanwhile both the other students in the car were complaining about how they would be late to their respective appointments. If I were the other students, I would have been extremely uncomfortable being driven around by an amateur driver that did not have their license. When we arrive at the testing site, I was the third to go. Both of the students before me FAILED quickly one running over the cones to the back and another in the front during the parallel parking. Once I passed my test the personnel at the DMV facility told me to go inside and processes my paperwork. At this stage, the Falcon Driving Staff told me he would not wait for me to process my paperwork and would leave me at the DMV if I choose to process my paperwork. According to the office staff, this is common practice and 'they did not have time to lecture me' when I booked the appointment. I then had to Uber home, over 45 mins. Just know this when booking, if you do not process your paperwork that day you will need a subsequent appointment/visit to a DMV. Be informed when using this company.

Negative experience: I asked for a female driver because I feel more comfortable with a female teacher. It turns out that she wants you to buy coffee for her. At first I thought she was kidding, but she said it three times be like “so you are not going to buy me a coffee”? I don’t want to buy coffee for a person I just met and who was late 20 minutes for me class. So I said no. To be honest, if this was a happy experience I could totally buy a coffee for her, but not in this forced way which makes me feel very uncomfortable. When I called the manager’s number to talk about this, a lady picked up and said “ok so next time no female drivers.” Her statement frustrates me, and I told her that it’s not about the sex identity. Overall this experience was frustrating. update: the manager of this driving school called me to address this one star review. First, He said that the coffee issue was “my own misunderstanding.” If the lady ever said once she will give me money after this, I won’t misunderstand at all. In our whole driving she never mentioned it, so how am I supposed to know? Second, about the time. I called in this morning about 8am and was scheduled for 1pm. About 8:40am they called in saying that I could do 9am. So I said ok. But when I went downstairs the driver has not yet arrived. And until about 9:20am the driver called me. During this period no one called me, and I was the one standing in cold wind trying to call the driving school. Overall, this call from the manager wasn’t intended to solve my problem, but to accuse me for “intending to leave 1-star review”. If you really are a long history school, then you should take customer opinion more seriously. And I am not trying to get a right or wrong here, just saying my feelings, so there is no point of arguing with me about it.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this driving school if you are concerned about your parallel parking skills. The process of parallel parking that the instructor told me was too formula dependent and in some cases didn't work. The instructor doesn't even teach you how to fix parallel parking.

Negative experience: Wonderful driving instructors, but truly horrible management. The lack of communication and false/conflicting information they share about the road test and validation of the learner’s permit has been unbelievable. They repeatedly told me information that the DMV has corrected, and they did not ensure that the DMV recorded my child’s knowledge test score, which is resulting in a 6 month delay in her getting her license. Find a different driving school.

Negative experience: This review is not pertaining to my driving lessons with Dino, they were good and he was punctual. This is about the service i paid for to take me to the road test. I was picked up at 10 am for my 1:40 pm road test in Rahway along with another student whose appointment was at 2 pm. We arrived at Rahway dmv two hours early and one of the instructors turned us away stating we can only be a half hour early not two. She was very rude to the falcon instructor nonetheless it’s not him who has to be examined by her. After the instructor spoke to the supervisor insisting he has somewhere to be if they could take me in that moment. The rude examiner was ordered to give me the test and made the whole experience way more uncomfortable for me than what needed to happen. DONT PAY FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE YOU FROM FALCON TO YOUR ROAD TEST. I was put in the middle of the falcon and the examiners issue and ultimately was the one who was affected. He also alluded that they are all rude because of their color. I would’ve just waited until my scheduled time and not pushed back on something avoidable all because he has somewhere to be, while I payed 200 to be there at 1:40pm.

Negative experience: The instructors here are incompetent as h3ll, I paid $260 for the road test + two hour practice beforehand with Jimmy and for some reason they told me last minute I had to go with a man named Orlando. Well, Orlando barely helped me. He made me drive him to a café so he can get breakfast and I told him multiple times I needed to practice parallel parking (even said it in Spanish so there was no excuse) and I only practiced parking for 10 minutes before he made me drive to pick someone else up. I paid $260, that means within those two hours it should be about ME and teaching ME how to drive, not your breakfast, not picking someone else up. Not to mention that he kept grabbing the wheel for me when I didn't need help. From my experience, Jimmy is one of the only good instructors in this school so if you really decide to go with these people, make sure it's with Jimmy. Also, there was another lady who seemed to not know how to drive at all or just seemed too old to still be working as a driver instructor. She taught me the wrong way to parallel park so in all honesty I had absolutely no experience with it for my road test which caused me to fail. This school is a complete waste of money and a joke.

Fantastic experience: Smooth experience. Never driven a car in my life. Took 5 lessons with Falcon and passed the test. Dino, Roberto and Jimmy, everyone’s good in their own ways. Dino/Jimmy has got some really good parallel parking tricks! Jita is also a very cooperative lady. All in all, good experience. Definitely recommend.

Positive experience: I would agree with some of the other reviews about this school not being the most professional when it comes to their services. They do not communicate/have/uphold their policies. They have a $30 appt deposit that seems pointless because they still leave you on the schedule if you do not send that fee. This alone would solve a lot of their no show issues. No deposit, no appt. When you are not able to make your appointment, you are followed up with a rude phone call. I understand that you have to pay your drivers, and that is why a deposit fee should be mandatory and should cover the cost for a no show. But life also happens and sometimes people can’t make the appointments. They do have good drivers which is the only reason why I am still with this school. Otherwise, professionalism definitely needs work.

Negative experience: The owners are RUDE, have no regard for your personal time, no etiquette over the phone and the car is filthy. The driver was cool but the experience with the company was horrid. I would not recommend booking with them, especially if your of color.

Negative experience: The old man and the lady who books the slot are very unprofessional. Please don't take lessons from this school. He assigned me 9-11 a.m slot and then decided to send the teacher at 7am in the morning. On top of that both of them started fighting with me and said I was at fault. The man even charged me $30 which he didn't return me. The people are very unprofessional and might scam you. Be aware before using their services. Also the owner had the audacity to call me and accuse me of my wrong behavior. Rather than correcting for the wrong done by his staff he started stating himself and his business to be highly professional. For people reading this review, please go ahead and check for their unprofessional reviews at yelp as well. And then make your decisions wisely. Thanks.

Fantastic experience: This place is great! They make sure you’re super prepared for the road test. They are so knowledgeable on exactly what you need to do to pass and the instructors are all great; very patient and helpful. I recommend them! I had Dino and he was awesome! After a few lessons I passed my drivers road test on my first try.

Negative experience: Absolute disaster in planning and management. Tracking the students for driving lessons and tests totally manual. Called month in advance to book the appointments for few refresher driving sessions and had a driving test on 4th Jan. Man makes a entry somewhere and forgets. Confirms with his wife 3 times and says all set/recorded in the system late evening. As per policy they only give a reminder a day earlier. I get a reminder call @9:30 pm. No automated emails or automated confirmation calls. Had to reschedule my test as No calls received - had booked driving vehicle to the test location as well. Now on 9:30 pm call...I remind this conversation to the owner that we talked about it month back and you should have my classes and driving test schedule in the system recorded. Owner balantantly without owing up to the mistake - says I don't see anything in the system - No apologies and arogance personified. Business won't survive with this attitude - who don't put customers first. Wish you the worst for 2023 and beyond.

Negative experience: Probably one of the worst driving schools I’ve ever experienced. Instructor was on his phone most of then time and was impatient. Made me go pick up a daughter or relative of his to drop her off somewhere else and then left me with 15 min to practice parking. Not to mention my road test was for 3 pm and they had me get picked up at 9 am to go with another student reassuring me that the DMV would take me early. When it came to be my turn the DMV would not let me go early and we had to go to the back of the line to wait again. This school was a waste of time and money.

Negative experience: my experience with driver is really appreciable Five star person, However, We 3 people took 6 classes in total and at the store person committed that on highway 130$ and in City it is 110$ after taking city classes for highway they asking for 140$ on highway. Fantastic experience: Dino, is the best instructor (I’ve tried other driving schools) and has amazing tips to help pass the road test. The team is great overall, very thorough from booking my appointments for practice sessions to the road test. Despite being short staffed on the day of my test, they made sure I was there on time and provided all the help I needed. Totally recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Falcon All City Driving School! Dino was my instructor for most of my lessons and was a phenomenal teacher when explaining the rules of the road, and how to parallel park. Connie took me to my road test to Rahway and I passed with flying colors! Thank you so much for all of your help with my driving journey! I am a confident driver thanks to you guys!

Fantastic experience: I had India driving experience and I took 2 practice sessions and road test. I was able to interact with 3 instructors and each of them are Amazing! You can practice the hard areas as many times you want (parallel parking in my case). Lastly, Tim was on my road test day boosted my confidence levels several time up, special thanks to him. Overall great experience with this driving school. I passed the test in 1st attempt!!!

Negative experience: Really shocked and disappointed with how they handle 1 star reviews. So i took one class and i had a great experience. I left them 5 star review. But my wife had a very disappointing experience (a different instructor) so she left a one star review. So they canceled my next class saying why did your wife give 1 star. These google star reviews help people like me to assess the best options. Get little matured and start taking 1 star reviews constructively.

Negative experience: Just came back from my very first driving class.. quite a disappointing one. Orlando was my instructor. He was unprofessional, rude (sometimes), and did not even tell me the basics (adjusting the mirror). I would appreciate if he acknowledges that someone who is sitting on the driver's seat for the first time may not know anything about the driving.

Fantastic experience: My experience with this school was great. First of all, Dino the driving instructor is a gem. He is patient and teaches you the right skills with the utmost ease. Jeeta, who takes the phone-calls and schedules all the appointments is a nice lady, cares about the students and genuinely wants them to pass at the first attempt. I had my road test today and though they were short-staffed, she made sure I was there on time one way or another. They also ensure you practice for the entire duration unless there are extenuating circumstances. Also want to mention that they're truly hard working people and deserve a shoutout for that. Hope you all have a positive experience here too!

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional and unreliable while making appointments or inquiring about details. My driving training session was delayed by 2 hours and I wasn’t even informed about it and no communication was done about my actual road test unless I called multiple times. No complaints on the instructor only management.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Falcon Driving School was very positive. Team was very professional about scheduling appointments. They picked me up on time all times. Instructors themselves were through with process and patient. They made sure I have enough practice for test and drive in general. School also helped me with car for road test, which I passed with ease. I highly recommend them.

Negative experience: I took my practice and test with Dino, he’s a great instructor. However the management/planning person is really bad. I had a terrible experience on my road test day. I paid for 1hr practice on test day to brush up everything and an extra 170$ for Wayne road test with pickup and drop. They made me drive to Wayne ( on Jersey city main roads and traffic) and compromised my practice time.I was hoping to practice for an hour in a calm neighborhood similar to where I had my lessons but it was a game changer cos this came as a shocker and I also failed the test. They schedule back to back appointments even on road test day and my instructor didn’t have time to get me 1hr of practice and also comfortably drive to DMV. All in all, they don’t care about anything , let alone the most important road test, they care only about their money. When I contacted them to talk about the practice they argued that this is what they provide.

Fantastic experience: I passed today at Newarkk. Dino is the best.. I used few other driving schools and trainers however i find Falcon very professional and value for money compared to others. Dino as a trainer is very Attentive, Great communication, Answers all doubts, Boosts your confidence - a super trainer !!

Negative experience: One should take lessons from this school if they are willing to be harassed by the instructors. My instructor was an elderly lady, who just asked me to start driving without explaining anything in detail and kept yelling at me every time I made some mistake. At one point, she even mocked me for my driving. Even if a student does not know driving, it does not give the instructor right to speak offensively and humiliate the students. Hope the management takes proper action against this behavior

Positive experience: I cannot express enough how amazing Dino is. He is very knowledgeable, patient, kind and just an amazingly great instructor. I took three lessons with him before my road test and I passed. He gives excellent tips for parallel parking. I was so worried and was sure I would fail before taking the lessons with him! Ask for Dino every single time.

Negative experience: THEY'RE A SCAM. The first time they scammed me years ago. I was at an age where I needed my hours to be documented because I had to do a minimum amount of hours. I got my class, got charged, but never received or even got confirmed that it was documented. I had no proof even though they made sure to charge me. The price, by the way, they tried to charge me extra when it was only the driver and myself. Parents weren't there at the time because the driver and I weren't even in my neighborhood at that point. I was upset and disappointed, but at the time I just decided to move on. They need to scam to make money, clearly they're broke and needed that money more than I, a then high-school kid, did. In the moment, the instructor seemed nice, but he also used up some of my class time on another student near the end, which was annoying So why am I writing a review now? My sister passed her written test and wanted to take driving classes before her road test. She's older now than I was when I took classes, so she doesn't need a minimum, how many classes she would need is up to her discretion. However, I did not know that this was the driving school she signed up to until just now. Today was supposed to be her second class. Out of nowhere, they say she can't come back and gave no explanation. Then they told her she still needed to pay for today's class even though she will not be receiving it. Obviously, she said no because why would you pay for a service you will not be receiving? They're late, unprofessional, and straight up shady. If you want an honest, professional driving school. Don't choose Falcon. I'd rather ride horseback than learn driving from this place and now I know it wasn't a one-time thing, it's a pattern on their end.

Negative experience: These people are so unprofessional. They scheduled an appointment for me at 1pm and never called or showed up. I call after 30 mins and the lady said she would call the driver and tell him to call me. After an hour still no call then after 2hours I ask for the guy number and he said there’s a line for the road test and that I have to have my appointment canceled. Mind you I wasn’t even scheduled for a road test I was scheduled for driving lessons. No one told me anything on time and if everything went as scheduled then there shouldn’t of been a reason for my appointment to get rescheduled! I have NO idea why this place has 4 stars and good ratings at all

Negative experience: Very bad communication. I called to practice with Dino, and to take the road test with Dino. At first they say yes, that everything with Dino. But on the day of the test, they called me an hour before scheduled pick up and changed the driver. It is wrong to suddenly change the driver. If I practiced with Dino, I should take the test with Dino. Every driver teaches differently. They did the same thing to my mom, and the person they changed it to, confused her because they taught different. There is very poor communication. They only care about money and don't care if you fail, so that you come back again. I do not recommend. Specially for young people, like me, that understand that after practicing with the same person over and over, is not the same as taking the test with a completely different person.
