Fantastic experience: John is great! Learning to drive with him is a 10/10 experience! He’s a very cool and chill guy and doesn’t pressure you at all. If you choose road rules I definitely recommend setting up lessons with John!

He’d built up the difficulty of driving easy enough so I wouldn’t be ridden with anxiety, since the worst drivers are anxiety ridden drivers. Fantastic experience: Best I could’ve asked for! I was 20 and had no license. They took me from just having passed my written test and 0 hours on the road to feeling comfortable in urban driving and passing my road test 1 month later. I had John Bernardes and he was phenomenal. Walked me through the whole route that the DMV put me through. We practiced some driving on busy packed roads with tons of pedestrians. We did some highway driving. He taught me parallel parking and K-turns. Also saved me from some potential hits in the early stages. Felt very safe. Great experience, if I needed to do the process all over again, I would do it with him. Great Teacher! 5/5

Fantastic experience: Anthony was great. He was patient with my child and went over all the basics before even hitting the road. He made sure to cover all the elements needed for a new driver and provided positive and comfortable driving environment for my teen. Additionally, as each skill was mastered he moved onto the next one building a new drivers confidence up while reinforcing the proper driving rules. We are very pleased.
Fantastic experience: Road Rules has been instrumental in helping all three of our kids. Two of them passed their driving tests on the first try, and the third currently has their permit. The communication with Road Rules is seamless, and they manage the entire process efficiently. Anthony DelConte conducted all of my kids' driving lessons and did a fantastic job. Fantastic experience: Road Rules has provided driving lessons to two of my daughters so far and it has been a positive experience both times. The ease of registration makes the overall process seamless. Road Rules handled all the paperwork after submitting. The instructor, is a teacher \ coach and that exiting relationship from school eased their minds to drive with Coach Del for the first time. Office staff are both kind and polite and the cars were clean, safe and updated. Look forward to one more learning from Coach Del and Road Rules!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Road Rules - even as an adult driver! I have extreme test anxiety as well as driving anxiety and Chris at Road Rules made the process smooth and calm. I took a brush up with Chris where he was detail oriented and helpful making sure I knew exactly what the MVC looks for. Additionally, he let me go over items I did not feel 100% on. Great resource for test day too and all the cars are clean and up to MVC standards. 5 stars all around!

Negative experience: I am not a customer of Road Rules, but want to tell of my experience with Road Rules . This past Saturday, around 1 pm. I activated the Pedestrian Crossing light to cross Walnut Avenue, Cranford, to cross from the Walnut School driveway area to Blake Avenue., using the marked crosswalk. The lights were flashing and I proceeded to cross . The southbound driver yielded but the northbound Road Rules car did not slow or yield, and just buzzed by. Could not see if it was being driven by a student or an instructor. They violated the law and endangered me. Is this the type of company you want training your teen?

Fantastic experience: I openly admit I am “THAT” mom - you teach them for so long stranger danger then they end up getting into a car with a stranger to learn how to drive! ♀️ but this was the best experience for a super neurotic mom, I never felt more comfortable and at ease meeting the instructor, (Mike) who happen to be the owner, there was transparency, feedback when he came back, it was a quick turn around to starting lessons even though I was well aware it may take time, the entire process from start to finish was flawless- response time was great (with my questions) - I highly recommend this driving school for the edge of the seat moms and the more relaxed moms too ha! Fantastic experience: I’m writing this so any parent with a child who needs a little extra support will know that choosing Road Rules and especially, in our case, working with John was the best decision I could have made! A parent of a child on the spectrum made this recommendation to me, I’ve in turn recommended John to others, and I highly recommend him to you, as well. My daughter, who has ADHD, apraxia, and communication and auditory processing issues, passed her driving test on the first try! John had the patience of a saint and a wonderful demeanor. John and all of the other driving instructors are certified TEACHERS… not just people with a knowledge of how to drive a car, but a knowledge of how to TEACH!! That distinction is soooo important for kids who learn differently and may need to hear things repeated or explained in various ways or who just need a comforting approach. We scheduled more lessons over the course of the year beyond the mandatory 6 hours, and I’d definitely recommend doing that… when my daughter took that test, I was confident that she was ready to be on the road! Much thanks to John and the Road Rules team!

Fantastic experience: (i'm an adult going for a GDL) i had very little time to work with, they fit me in and covered all i needed to know! the instructor was very professional, and explained what to expect which helped allot. he was very personable and seemed experienced handling my anxiety, making the experience comfortable - i passed the road test first attempt! good planning and execution made this personal milestone easy! Fantastic experience: Tammy (or Zurk as my kids all call her!) is the BEST! She taught all 3 of my children to drive and was patient with them and built their knowledge and their confidence! She made scheduling work around their sports and extracurricular activities and took care of everything so we were 100% ready for the road test!!

Fantastic experience: Ms. Zurka and Road Rules are the BEST!!! I was absolutely terrified of driving for the longest time, to the point that I was out of high school before I even started. But thanks entirely to the excellent teaching of Ms. Zurka, I was able to actually manage to drive with confidence and pass my driving test with no issue! If you have the choice of getting lessons from R.R, I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: My family and I have used Road Rules twice so far with our oldest children and look forward to sending our youngest as well when it is his turn. The whole experience start to finish was top notch - not one single complaint from us. Both of our children were instructed by Tammy. We can not recommend her enough. She is patient and knowledgeable, flexible with the scheduling around other activities and most importantly AMAZING WITH THE KIDS. My children truly count her as a friend ( as do I ) who helped them in one of the most important rights of passage. Both of our kids passed their drivers tests on the first try and the bigger win was Tammy helped me feel safe getting into the car with a new driver!!! could not have done it without her or the time spent with Road Rules.
