Negative experience: The test they took me on was going good till we got to a stop sign, the stop sign was bent backwards at a 45 degree angle away from the car, the lines of the road were completely faded away. You couldn’t see this sign unless someone told you it was there. Terrible experience and waste of a drive. Would not recommend this location if you genuinely want to get a drivers license

Fantastic experience: daniel peitler was an amazing driving instructor. he took me on the road for the first time and i was nervous to begin with but he made sure i was safe and calm. we went over parking too and i am 100% more confident than i was before i started our lesson.

Fantastic experience: Driving used to make me really anxious, so I put off driving much longer than the rest of my peers. Going into my first lesson with The Next Street, I was nervous that I would hit something, or that driving wasn’t fit for me. Thankfully, my driving instructor, Dan Peitler, was extremely supportive with me, and he was able to instantly calmed my nerves. He’s extremely patient, positive-minded, and he’s great at explaining the different driving procedures in ways that make sense. Thanks to Dan, I was able to get my license a couple of months ago. My brother currently going to the next street, and when asking about different instructors, Dan was the first person to come to mind! I highly recommend the next street for any driver of any age. And thank you so much for teaching me Dan! It meant the world to me!

Fantastic experience: We have used The Next Street driving school twice now to assist and prepare with teaching our 2 boys how to drive. Most recently, our youngest son, spent time on the road with instructors Daniel Peitler (final lesson) in Watertown and 3 lessons prior ( Jose DeGros) in Southington. Both instructors were so knowledgeable, patient and friendly. My son, Evan, truly enjoyed his experience with them both! Not only were they extremely personable, but truly seemed to love their jobs and took the time to really explain things so that the students they are teaching have all the information and tools to be careful and competent drivers behind the wheel! This was an all around good experience- Evan and I both feel he has been well prepared to take and pass his driving test next week! Thank you Dan and Jose!!

Fantastic experience: It was good because Daniel Peitler was very nice and informative. I had my last 2 lessons with him and he teaches me many different strategies of parking and speed control. He’s a nice guy and I would recommend him.

He was super helpful and gave me tons of information and tips on certain maneuvers and what to look out for on the road. Definitely looking forward to more lessons!

They both gave very thorough feedback along with suggestions on what she should do and practice between each of her road lessons. They both helped her feel very prepared for her road test. My daughter had only 2 driving lessons at this location, one with Instructor Mike Davis and the other lesson was with Instructor Daniel Peitler. They both created a calm and positive learning experience while fine-tuning her driving skills. They provided insight on proper parking techniques and focused on speed and turns. With their expertise, she was confident to pass the exam her first try!

Fantastic experience: My son learned a lot during his driving lessons with Daniel Peitler. He really connected with him and his style of teaching. My son enjoyed Daniel’s teaching methods so much, he took all 4 of his lessons with Daniel. I very much recommend trying to snag a driving lesson from Daniel, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Next street and especially Dan Peitler were instrumental in balancing my son’s moments of insecurity and confidence. There are things that need to be approached cautiously but with the right training and lots of practice, confidence and skill in driving can be learned.

Fantastic experience: We have three kids (21,16,13) and we are 2 for 2 with getting drivers licenses. We have used The Next Street for both and the plan is to have my youngest go through TNS as well. Getting ready for my daughter’s test we went to Watertown and had a few driving lessons there to get use to area. Daniel Peitler was her instructor and it was a great experience. Out of all of my 4 in-person drivers lessons he was the nicest, funniest, and chillest of all. He made me understand parking maneuvers which have been explained to me many times before seem so much easier and clearer, and his approach on them were really good. If I could rate this guy 10 stars I would. I’m from Cheshire and would drive any distance to get a lesson with Daniel, simply THE BEST.

He was my favorite instructor, the knowledge he provided on any uncertainties cleared up my questions and not only did he do this he was able to connect on a personal level not just as an instructor but as a friend. Fantastic experience: The next street driving school is amazing! Daniel Peitler (Watertown, CT) is very good! Dan helped my daughter with driving and teaching her to be safe on the road. My daughter just passed her driver's license and we have Daniel Peitler to thank. Always took his time to talk to us the parents before my daughter went out driving and when she returned. Dan always went above and beyond. Always asked if we had any questions no matter what the time was we could always email him. He was always available! My oldest son had Dan as well. Dan is the man!

Fantastic experience: I heard great things about Next Street in Watertown so my husband and I decided to sign my son up. He had a great experience so when it was my daughter’s turn we went through Next Street again. My daughter's driving lessons with Daniel Peitler I have to say she wasn’t nervous with him. He was very calm and explained things to her in a way she would understand. He answered all her questions and even all my questions. You can tell he was happy answering them. I reached out to Mr. Peitler to ask some more questions because I wanted to make sure I was teaching my daughter the right way how they taught. Again he was very happy to answer my questions. You can tell he is very passionate about his job! I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I give five stars. I had Daniel p as my instructor. I felt safe with him as my instructor, he also made the driving time feel as calm as possible by making me laugh telling jokes and when I made mistakes he was very patient and didn’t let me beat myself up he encouraged me to try again instead of getting upset that I messed up. I was terrified of driving and even going in the highway. I drove on the highway with him and it didn’t feel that scary at first I was still scared then he told me I was doing a great job and my condo grew making the ride easier. He was very friendly and very welcoming. He always stopped to say hello to my daughter and my mom when I got dropped off. My daughter liked when he said hi to her (you know the saying) “kids can read people” just saying.

Fantastic experience: My son Michael had a positive experience at the Next Street in Watertown. His instructor was Dan Peitler. Dan has a lot of patience and my son was able to gain a lot of confidence in his driving. I even added an extra lesson with Dan because my son was most comfortable with him. I would highly recommend this Next Street location. Dan is a huge asset to the team!

Fantastic experience: My son had his all-important review, driving lesson with Daniel Peitler. He arrived early and greeted us with a smile! He asked lots of questions about the types of practice my son had already and quickly nailed down a teaching plan for the lesson. At the end of the lesson he provided us with essential feedback, along with some concrete things to keep practicing. My son said he was amazing to have and wished he could have had him for more lessons. Daniel even gave him some license test taking tips to help manage his expectations (and nerves) for his test the following week — which he passed!! Thank you Daniel and thank you Next Street!

Negative experience: We did the online class and the first instructor was overbearing and making a number of jokes that only he found funny but it got the job done. We scheduled a practice driving exam and they assured me we could use our family car. When we showed up they insisted we had to use their car which is pointless as she would not be testing with their car and then told us they would charge us $175 anyway which I explained we would simply fight with the credit card company. I would avoid going here if you can.

Fantastic experience: We used next street In Watertown for my daughters drivers education. Our instructor was Crystal and she was amazing!!! She made the class fun, relatable scenarios for the kids, and most importantly, kept my daughter engaged in the class and the discussions! You can truly tell she loves what she does, and takes it very serious! 10/10 would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Kevin is probably the most influential teacher in my life right now. His driving tips as well as his tips for real life situations ensure that I will never feel unsafe in a car. If you need driving lessons and a good educational basis for acing your DMV test them I strongly suggest you go to The Next Street and request Kevin. He will change your life

Fantastic experience: The next street is the best driving school. My instructor was Kevin Willson. He always kept us engaged in learning our lesson that night and was very enthusiastic. He helped me out a lot and I recommend him to anyone! I want to thank Kevin and the next street for everything and I will miss him.

He is so attentive, so knowledgeable with driving and he knows how to do his job so well. he’s great with teens and kids, and knows how to teach, how to talk to his students. if a student has a question, he is very fast to respond and will not let a student go unanswered. I will never forget this learning experience with Kevin, it truly made my driving 1000x better. He prepared me to do amazing and excell on my performance on the road; he isn’t just an ordinary instructor. He is amazing, and never fails to put a smile on my face and knowledge in my brain. <3

Fantastic experience: I was very pessimistic that this was going to be boring. But in the first class I was so happy. It is 100% worth the money. I had a lot of fun learning from Kevin. I highly recommended taking this if you go to drivers ed. Kevin is the best teacher.

Fantastic experience: My instructor Kevin was really helpful and enthusiastic. We never had a dull moment in class but we still learned everything that we needed to know in order to pass our drivers test. His attitude made us all look forward to class every Tuesday and Thursday. Hands down would recommend the Next Street Watertown to any new drivers.

He would teach us what we needed to know but include us in the conversation, he’d tell stories so we would understand what he was saying better. Fantastic experience: I took the accelerated class in Bristol with Pam Sorensen about two weeks ago and it was a great experience. I’m glad I got to complete drivers ed in the span of two weeks instead of a few months. She made the four hours a day enjoyable I feel better prepared for my test now.

Fantastic experience: I have Brandon Truesdale for my instructor, he makes the class really fun while also teaching the material really well. Best instructor there.

Pam Sorensen was my instructor and was an absolute joy to work with. I took the 30 hour excellerated class and it was worth every second of being there. I absolutely enjoyed my time here and thoroughly recommend taking drivers ed at The Next Street!

Fantastic experience: I am in the excelerated 30 hour class. There is a 8 hour class but the 30 hour class is much more useful. I am taking it in Bristol. The teacher is Pam Sorensen. She is a great teacher and the class is fun. It has very good information in it.

Fantastic experience: I took the accelerated course in Bristol with Pam Sorensen as my instructor, it was a simple class and taught me a lot that I hadn’t known previously. The class was quick and interesting, the videos showed real experiences and other informational videos. There are also interactive activities to help students learn the lessons in multiple ways.

Fantastic experience: I took the accelerated 30 hour class in Bristol with Pam Sorensen. The class taught me a lot and i feel prepared to get my lisence in November. Though you move fast with topics, Pam covers them well, just be sure to take good notes!!

Fantastic experience: I took the summer accelerated 2 week class in Bristol with Pam Sorensen. Other than taking 2 weeks from my summer break to sit in a classroom, it was really good. Some of the stuff I already knew but a lot of the stuff I was taught surprised me. I would defiantly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I took the accelerated course in New Milford with Pam Sorensen. I learned an incredible amount in two weeks-- the teaching environment and curriculum are amazing. This course has helped me to feel prepared for any situation I could face while driving, and it has also given me a fantastic foundation of safety precautions to always keep in mind. Pam kept students engaged and definitely taught us everything we need to know. I would feel safe driving alongside anyone who has taken this course!

Fantastic experience: I went to the accelerated class with Pam in New Milford. It was a very fun class and we learned a lot. Even though it was 4 hours a day it went by quick because it was so enjoyable. Pam is an excellent person and teacher!❤️

Fantastic experience: Its drivers ed, the material and methods of the class is exactly what you would expect. However, if it weren't for my teacher Pam, the class would have been way more boring, I mean usually it was still pretty boring but still... With fun stories, cheesy videos and actual interaction with the class, you won't just be lectured at for 4 hours. That isn't to say you are forced to do anything, if you want to sit in the back and do nothing thats fine, if you want to talk and maybe try to make the class go a little faster you can do that too. This class has a spot for everyone. 5/5 it was good.

Fantastic experience: I took the class at Wolcott High and I had Pam. I didn’t understand why people didn’t like her or anything, she’s so sweet and she really does try to make you understand the material. It’s honestly so worth taking drivers ed at the next street because you learn so much. i’d recommend 10/10 every time. they really go out of their way to help.
