Fantastic experience: This Driving school is the best.I advice it to whoever wants to learn how to drive well and pass the road test.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time behind the wheel ever and the staff at Acropolis helped me pass my road test—first try!! They were VERY accommodating to my tight timeline of three weeks and were able to fit five lessons + an additional lesson on top of scheduling a road test for me. Staff are very friendly and professional. Customer focused business! Can’t recommend these folks enough, thank you for everything, Iralda and the rest of Acropolis!!

Fantastic experience: I needed to pass the test within 3 weeks. I told Iralda at Acrópolis and she made it her mission to make sure that happened. I tried a different school a couple years ago and failed my test twice, but within just 4 lessons with Acrópolis I felt completely ready for the test. And today I passed! It was absolutely because of the wonderful team and instructors! I highly recommend this driving school.

Positive experience: Not a student there but i was recently in a urgent situation where i had to take a road test in a rush before traveling by the end of the month. Every driving school i asked said it was impossible! Then i called Acropolis and the lady on the phone was so warm and enthusiastic her name is Iralda. So i don't know how but Iralda managed to get me a road test in less than 48 hours. It was incredible! Thank you for your commitment and big shout out Iralda!

Fantastic experience: After taking my driving lessons in two other schools and took the test after 2 times and failed, I finally passed my driving test. My all time favorite was Marlene, she is Militant but what I experienced with other schools a woman teacher has to be strong in the teaching driving business. She is by the book, and when she takes out her pencil pay close attention because the examiners are looking at everything she is pointing out. Miguel is calm, he reminds me of the examiners. He stays still and observes what you know but he is sharp and soooo non judgmental. And Luis taught me how to fix my double parking and it helped so much the day of my test. he has great lessons. My front desk girl, Iralda keeps everyone together. She is straight forward with great customer service skills, she has her system and she is going to give every confirmation. La DõNa aka Rubia runs a tight shop but u can tell she is very supportive to her community. Overall they are COST EFFECTIVE, good quality lessons for decent prices. I’m a nervous driver, got the 10 lesson package for Under $1000.00 dollars. Im so proude of their establishment, as a fellow CUNY graduate it is so cool to find people from your community, work in the community and thrive as not only successful business owners but support the community around them.THANK YOU GUYS ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: The staff is amazingly friendly and knowledgeable from behind the counter, to the driving instructors. I signed up for 10 classes and if I happened to make a mistake they would iron it out very fast in a way that will maintain your confidence. They teach you the mentality of being a safe and effective driver and I would recommend this driving school to anybody who is fresh/brand new to driving. 10/10.

Fantastic experience: I recommend this place 100%. The staff was amazing, and having different instructors helped not only my driving but getting over my nerves when it came to taking the test. They were all patient with me and all understanding about what I needed to work on. Communication with the staff was easy for me since they text, and answer my phone calls in a timely manner. Fantastic experience: I finally got my drivers license! I’m so happy I came to this driving school. I had a great experience. Every staff was extremely professional, patient and understanding. I always had great communication with the staff. They made is easy with a phone call and text they always answered right away. I had anxiety when it came to driving but driving with a different staff every chance I got, helped my anxiety. Each taught me something valuable, and helped me feel confident driving. The receptionist were all friendly and gave me courage to continue practicing. The payment plans were also helpful too! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: So I wasn’t going to post a review until a text a got today at 11:45am. Not really the best school unless you’re Hispanic. In NYC you see that a lot but it’s not everyone so I still decided to give them a chance.. not once, not twice but THREE times. You’re never paired with the same instructor and when I asked I was denied but when one lady (yk who) asked they fixed it immediately! When I paid the lady at the desk the 2nd time she tried to charge me extra & made up reasons as to why as though I wasn’t there before and knew the cost of lessons. When the lessons were over I contacted them about how to proceed, 5hr class etc., to which I received no response until today 12/16/24 when I originally took classes literally 3 years ago (11/2021) & my 2nd trail in 2022. Horrible experience

Fantastic experience: Awesome Driving School! I had failed my first test by myself, but I took it after 2 classes with Luis, and one with Marlene and passed first try with formal classes! Lissy was awesome in helping me set up all my classes, and Stephanie was great bringing me to the test. Best experience driving! I will be recommending this driving school to all my friends in the neighborhood. Very Patient and very straightforward lessons and teaching! Thank you to Acropolis!

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give Acropolis more than 5 stars because they deserve 10. My experience taking lessons for the past 7 weeks has been incredible. The professionalism and positivity radiate throughout the entire team. I felt empowered and safe and all the hard work paid off because I passed my road test on the first try! Fantastic experience: Truly cannot say enough good things about this driving school. Everyone told me I was crazy for learning how to drive in Manhattan instead of an outer borough or Westchester, but I'm going to be a better driver than all of the naysayers Acropolis has been so accommodating with scheduling, and all of their instructors are very patient and have great calm energy while teaching, which is especially crucial given how hectic city driving is. I'm 2/3 of the way through a 15-lesson package and already more confident than I thought I'd ever be behind the wheel. Learning to drive for the very first time at 27 is daunting but I'm glad I chose Acropolis to learn!

Fantastic experience: The people at Acropolis are THE BEST. The staff is organized, friendly, and accommodating. The instructors experienced, patient, and no matter what was happening on the road, I always felt safe behind the wheel. Fantastic experience: I signed up a 10 classes package with Acropolis in September as I did not have sufficient road experience and need to brush up on parallel parking. Their instructors are very patient and provided clear directions. We mostly drove in the neighborhood near the driving school. It covered a variety of hilly streets, narrow streets, quiet residential areas and also the busy Amsterdam avenue. It is a great way to learn driving in the city. I added an extra class on the morning of my road test, and passed the exam on that day. In general, I had a very good experience with Acropolis, everyone there is nice and encouraging.

Fantastic experience: I truly don't know where to start! At the age of 45 I decided it was time to get my license. Late August of this year I made a promise to myself that I need to start working on it. I Googled THE BEST driving schools in Manhattan automatically Acropolis came up. Now, am the type of person that goes back months, and months for reviews. I was NOT disappointed at all with all of the 5 star reviews Acropolis was given by their students! That right there I was SOLD, from the time I walked into the door, they treated me me with respect and courtesy. Acropolis team members are truly THE BEST! their smiles, positive energy etc etc. If you're looking to obtain your NYS driver's license I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Acropolis! Negative experience: Some teacher they don’t speak English, i had bad experience i don’t think they care about the quality of education they just how to spend the education time. NOT GOOD. and they let you wait for months to get drive test and then they did nothing nearly.

This school custumer service was great from the moment I called them to let them know I needed a quick road test before my certification expired. They worked with me and kept me up to date . Fantastic experience: I don’t often write reviews, but this place is truly special and deserves the most recognition First of all, Lissy and Iralda are the nicest and most genuine staff I have interacted with in my entire life, not even exaggerating. Just pure care, support, consideration and professionalism. Iralda spent her time checking and refreshing the DMV road test appointments to find the closest opening for me and I was lucky enough to take the test literally the next day after my last lesson. My instructor Miguel was just pure pleasure to learn and talk with thanks to his patience, friendliness and trust in my driving skills. He made me feel confident and relaxed (which is rare since driving teachers could be very anxiety inducing and tense), he never over cautiously pushed the brakes which made me feel like a real driver. My lessons were fun, very productive and just an amazing way to spend time driving around and learning about Harlem (which turns out is so much nicer than everyone says it is). If you get the chance, request Miguel as your instructor and you are set for success ✅ I took 9 lessons and passed the road test my first try , despite the inspector being the most horrible and unprofessional person, which made me feel even more grateful for how caring the staff at Acropolis were. I will forever remember this time in my early twenties learning to drive in Manhattan as sweet dear memories and it’s all thankful to Acropolis and people with genuine care and big hearts I could rave forever about how amazing this place is, but you should really go see for yourself. Even if you live far, this place is 100% worth commuting to. Especially since their prices are much better than most places I’ve researched and I ended up spending just 597$ for all my lessons and road test included. The pre licensing course is separate but they will provide a link for it to you (which I also really enjoyed actually so I recommend their link as well). I am forever grateful for the time I spent there 1000/10 will recommend Don’t hesitate and give them a call

Everyone at the school was extremely welcoming and friendly, and they tried their best to cater to my needs; I only had a month to take my lessons and pass the exam and they were able to squeeze everything in and find me an exam site on such short notice! Fantastic experience: amazing school! Everyone is supportive and encouraging, the teachers are great also and are very experienced. Iralda, Lissy, Marlene, and Luis were fantastic and I am so glad I trusted them with helping me learn how to drive! For the price you really cannot beat this school and I can't recommend them enough (in fact I'm sending two of my friends here) In the end, I passed my driving test on the second try (the first time I failed was due to my nerves and not because of any gap in what my teachers told me) (note: for some sessions, there would be a little bit of a language barrier since I'm not fluent in Spanish -- but this was not a problem and I was still able to learn from them!)

They have classes to help you understand and be prepared for the road. They also do road appointments around Harlem area. But for the road test they drive you close to Wakefield, Bronx and you will take it there! The instructors also gave really good, unique tips that made me a good and confident driver. Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend enough. I signed up for the 10 45-min lesson package which included the DMV’s road test and I passed! The front desk is super friendly and accommodating of personal schedules while instructors are exceedingly patient and encouraging. I’m 29, grew up in NYC, and hadn’t spent more than a few hours behind the wheel of a car when I started with them. Between their lessons (and 10-12 additional hours in zip cars with some very willing family members), I was able to pass the road test in Riverdale. Getting your license in NYC is no small feat (and way harder than if you were able to get it in your teens.) Acropolis made it feasible, affordable, and something that I was able to do in just over six weeks. They also offer lessons for new yorkers who just haven’t driven in a while. I will definitely be returning for these in the coming months :)

Fantastic experience: Acrópolis driving school is one of the best driving schools to learn from in Manhattan. I joined for 15 classes and I had zero prior driving experience, and being from overseas, I was not used to US traffic rules at all. I now have a drivers license! All the instructors are extremely patient, friendly and knowledgeable. You will be cycled through several instructors through your course which will make you used to different coaching styles and build confidence for the road test. They helped me follow rules strictly without making me feel nervous about the road test. I had most of my lessons with Miguel, Luis and Marlin and they were all very helpful! The office staff is very friendly and extremely supportive about being flexible with your schedule. Fantastic experience: From the first day till end I had a great experience with ACROPOLIS DRIVING SCHOOL. All the team Iralda, Lissy, Estephany were so supportive, friendly and helpful. Fantastic experience: The staff and the driving instructors where incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. I had 4 different driving instructors during my time here, which was helpful because each instructor had their different strengths. I had never been behind the wheel of a vehicle and was able to pass the road test on the first try after 15 lessons. I highly recommend!

I had prior driving experience in a different country, but had not driven for 5+ years and did not feel confident in my driving. I did a 7 class package with the school and felt that it was the right amount! My instructors were Marlyn and Miguel — they were both so patient and taught me exactly how to do all the maneuvers I needed. Fantastic experience: Acropolis made getting my license a very easy process. I had never driven a car before starting my lessons. I purchased a 10 lesson package and it was the perfect # of lessons. Every instructor has their own style of course but they all teach you the same things. The ladies that do the scheduling were very sweet and accommodating to my schedule. I passed on my first try!!

Fantastic experience: Best driving school ever! I signed up for the 10 lesson package with pretty much no driving experience. I was really nervous to learn but I passed my driving test on the first try!! I learned so much in each lesson and a great trick for parallel parking. Scheduling was so easy, I got text reminders the day before each lesson and if I ever needed to reschedule I just sent a text. Really friendly and warm atmosphere, and all of the people are great. Totally recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful and professional service, very kind and accommodating with my schedule. Passed road test first try. I was instructed by Marlyn and she was incredibly exact; we drilled parallel parking dozens of time to ensure perfection and proper safety until I could do it with my eyes close! (not that she would ever let me :) Would recommend as a certified Harlem classic.

Fantastic experience: The staffs and all instructors I've met throughout the lessons were really nice and friendly. Especially, the staff has been doing their best to check every single your lessons and coordinate them if you need to change. This would be the best place ever if you're planning to get a driver license! I am so happy that I passed a road test today at once!

Positive experience: Had one lesson with instructor Maria, she the worst driving instructor here, I don’t recommend her at all. She made the experience stressful & not enjoyable. She will tell me to stop in the middle of a busy road to have me do the three point turn without telling me ahead of time. Then she kept on pushing on the breaks when I’m driving on a busy road. I’m going 20 mph & I got my foot on the break controlling the speed correctly. That’s very discouraging of her to do when I’m not speeding. She doesn’t know how to properly or correctly instruct. Before starting the lesson she asking irrelevant questions about the basic functions of the car such as the ems break, how to turn on the window wipers etc, which isn’t important during the road test realistically speaking. She wasted about 20 mins of my lesson time asking me stuff that won’t be on the road test. The best driving instructor in this school is Miguel, I will highly recommend him.

From start to finish, the staff there are super friendly, understanding, and detail-oriented. Fantastic experience: I used Acropolis Driving School to teach me to drive, and it was such a positive experience. Everyone in the office is so friendly and loving (Thanks Lissy and Iralda!!) they really care about all their students, which i feel like is sometimes rare among driving schools. There was a language barrier with one of my instructors and he was STILL able to assist me in a calm, respectful, and “intellectual” manner. They offer lesson and exam reminders and work with your schedule. As long as you provide sufficient time, they are more than willing to reschedule and find an accommodating situation.
