Fantastic experience: 10/10 for me. As a First Time Driver, I felt so comfortable driving with the Teachers. They really take the time to break down parking to the smallest details. I fully understood how to park Like a pro and im not even dragging it, they showed it to me so well that I was able to teach others. The instructors I had were Comelow and Issac. Who I recommend to anyone to get lessons from. These 2 just know how to make you feel safe and comfortable behind the wheel. Now let's not FORGET LUZ! With a Bright smile, she greets you with a warm Good Morning/Afternoon without her I couldn't put my skills to the test. She made the schedule work for me every time. She made me feel like I was the only customer she cared for as she handled others. She answered every question and made sure I was all set and ready to go. Because of her and the TEAM I can now proudly say I have my Drivers liaison !!!!! (Side note. I don't even write reviews )

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test yesterday and I am so thrilled! I would like to thank in particular my instructor Carmelo who was very patient and knowledgeable with telling me everything I needed to drive safely and pass the road test. He is an awesome person! This made all the difference with preparing me for the test as I am a nervous person at times. Also special mention to Giovanni who was very detailed also in his instruction. I highly recommend this school and they have great driving packages.

She is a sweet soul who truly wants you to succeed and would make you want to learn due to her positive attitude. Me and my sister took her and we have no regrets. Fantastic experience: Luis was my instructor all the way and while I had experience driving I was never confident enough to actually take my road test. Thanks to Luis’ patience and guidance I was able to gain the confidence I needed to actually take the test and I passed on the first try. Only thing I didn’t like was I was given Felix for one lesson before my test and he was in his phone texting half the time. I was extremely nervous that day and He made feel like an idiot after all the work I had done right before my test but I guess he just has a different teaching style than I was used to. He did give good points but I just didn’t like his tone. Other than that thank you Crossway, thank you Luis and thank you Pamela for always being so nice when I had questions

Fantastic experience: Best driving school in the Bronx, I failed my road test back in 2021 with a different school, and wanted to gave up on driving, but the instructors at this school are calm and supportive, they helped give me the confidence i needed and gave me really good strategies to help me pass my test. If you fail your test don’t give up, keep practicing and you will get it. Thank you to my instructor Juan, and the rest of the staff for all the support you guys are the best.

Fantastic experience: I took 3 lessons there and went for the road test. The staff is amazing. Felix my instructor helped throughout the whole process, giving me useful advices and being really patient. It worth every penny. That’s the driving school you need if you want to succeed to your road test.

Positive experience: I rate my instructor,Luis, 5 stars. The school kept giving me different instructors with each lesson which wasn’t helpful my first time around. One teacher would tell me one thing and another teacher would tell me that it was wrong. I had about 10 different instructors and ended up failing. Two years later, I decided to go back and they started me off with the different instructors again until I had a lesson with Luis. Luis helped me learned how to drive, even though prior to him I had 15 lessons, I finally learned with him. He was kind helpful and patient. I passed on 7/6/23 and I’m so happy. Thanks Luis. As far as the school, give student one instructor.

Fantastic experience: My experience at crossway was amazing! Hurtado is the best instructor at crossway driving school at the 167 location. He gives the best advice to students! Take your classes with him!!!

Negative experience: Don't take the good reviews, this is not reliable, they only care about money and doesn't make an effort to teach the students, they make you buy bunch of lessons for nothing, and they tell you that you're fine and doesn't correct your mistakes on driving so that when you go to take the exam everything go wrong and you have to try again. You end up buying more time is not fair so much scam this is rubbish I do not recommend it. My mom took 15 classes, but she was not ready, they sent her to the test and fail. Then she went to another school and they told her how did this school sent her to take the test with the little driving knowledge she had after taking 15 classes. Not fair at all.

Fantastic experience: I've never been completely comfortable behind the wheel, but that all changed when I enrolled at Crossway Driving School. Crossway was the third driving school that I decided to take a chance in being that the others that I took lessons in were subpar and would always cancel my lessons without notice and I'm so glad that I went with them. A close friend recommended me to this school and I will be forever grateful. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Especially Helen the receptionist. I'm a very forgetful person when it comes to appointments so I appreciated the follow up texts, calls and reminders for my 5 hour class and all my lessons. I've had 3 instructors total but my main instructor was Luis he was very funny and made me super comfortable behind the wheel. Raoul was calm and nice as well. I like the fact that the 5 hour class was virtual and that I didn't need to leave the comfort of my home to attend. But, I will note that Crossway does keep the driving class certificate in their possession so if you're looking to take the driving test on your own or elsewhere then you must pick it up on your own. I chose to let them hold on to the certificate and have them give it to the examiner when it came time to have the road test. I started my lessons on 11/3 & passed my test on 11/30. I highly recommend this school.

Positive experience: Thank you Crossway Driving School located on 167th Street the staff Brandon/ Geovani/ Helen and those who have assisted me with obtaining my driver's license.  The school and its instructors were very supportive with teaching students how to drive in NYC, however, I do have concerns about the communication (information regarding dates and times agreed upon verbally is not delegated to other staff), last-minute updates and notifications, and how they allowed a driver to escort a student for a driving test and the escort did not have the proper documentation which prevented the student from completing the exam. Just ensure to get your money's worth of education and when something does not seem right make sure to stand your ground. I may recommend this school to individuals only if my concerns were addressed for ongoing admissions for future drivers.

Fantastic experience: I took a couple of driving lesson and the best instructor I had was Luis Cruz he was patient and made sure that you understood what to do step by step. He didn't make you feel uncomfortable or make you feel like you didn't know what to do. He made sure to have your conflict up. Cross Way Driving School made sure that if I didn't like something they will help solve it as best as they could. I would definitely recommend it this place because they do try to to help you feel comfortable and make sure to give you the best instructor. I did fail my road test the first try but then I took some more classes and then finally passed my road test so thank you Cross Way Driving School for your effort and help.

Fantastic experience: What a great experience I had with Cross Way Driving School @ 167th. Nayeli, the secretary, was amazing. She when out of her way to accommodate my crazy schedule. Her positive vibes and optimism always made me feel like failing the road test wasn’t even an option. I am especially grateful for her getting me the road test appointment in the morning and day that I requested. It made all the difference! I began my lessons with Alex. He accessed the skills I was coming in with on day one. I loved that he acknowledged the little I did know and continued from there. It gave my confidence the boost it needed. And while I was quite nervous, his calm and professional demeanor was reassuring and helped me relax enough to enjoy the learning process. I continued and finished my lessons with Gerson. If Alex succeeded in getting me comfortable behind the wheel, then Gerson succeeded in molding me into a driver beyond the road test. He listened to my concerns and made sure that we practiced and practiced. I ended each session feeling so much more sure of my self and driving skills. The tips he gave me made such a huge difference on the road test. There were a few moments when I caught myself thinking: remember what Gerson said, if this happens do that to fix it. Then there is Angie, whom took me to the road test. She was so positive and encouraging and amazing. She shared her own experience, she gave us some last minute tips that I took to heart (and I believe sealed the deal) but most importantly she pointed out some things that most students made mistakes on and how to avoid getting points. Funny enough, everything she pointed out I was able to avoid during the road test. Great school. Great staff. Worth every penny.

The last day II had tzel. She was incredible and took the time to explain how to do things properly and even gave me some extra suggestions. When I thought I knew it all, she surprised me. Fantastic experience: I honestly enjoyed my experience with this driving school. In my opinion, this is the best driving school in the south Bronx. I was a first-time driver, never driven before, and my driving instructor was Alex. He was very patient and knowledgeable when teaching me. Fantastic experience: The receptionist is awesome, she helped me get a road test as soon as possible and is very attentive. Andy was my instructor, he teaches well and is very patient and calming. (Sad to say he is no longer with the company). I got a 10 lesson package including a road test, car, 5-hour safety course. I was able to pass my road test.

Negative experience: This school does not prepare you to pass your road test. I failed the first time. The instructor I had the first time was too busy looking cute, and being on his phone. I was so mad about the fact that he never taught me about blind spots or looking at the mirror when turning, or turning left. They do not prepare you for the road test. I switch school and I passed after only 6 lessons.

Negative experience: Spare yourself the time and energy with trying to get anything done here in a timely manner. You’re gonna have to hunt them down in order to get any information from them about lessons,5 hour class, and everything else. They delay and cancel everything this was my second time coming to them and I quickly remembered why I didn’t like them the first time they’re unprofessional and just unorganized. They get back to you when they want and when you call back they’ll put you on hold forever just to give you no answers. There’s no order or structure there they’re very unorganized.There communication is horrible and rude. If you were thinking about booking lessons for yourself or child I advise you go elsewhere seriously save your time and money .

Fantastic experience: I signed up for my two sons in 167th and both pass, in the beginning one of my sons had some issues with an instructors but was his fault. Amando the manager was great helping us out, he is a nice person with good customer service. We are so happy... well recommend!

Negative experience: I attempted to call this establishment 30 minutes before closing and didn’t get an answer each of the 5 times I called. I arrive and the front desk clerk has an attitude in non-caring nonchalant way and was more concerned about her personal phone than answering my questions. I don’t know how the instructors are BUT after the experience with the greeter , I’ll definitely keep searching for another driving school.

Fantastic experience: This has been an excellent experience! I had Ramon and Audie as driving instructors and both were amazing! Very professional, personable and patient. The instructors here want all students to do well and provide a great supportive environment, right down to the ladies in the office. I also took my 5 hour class here as well, which was great. It was very thorough and informative. If you want to learn how to drive properly and pass the road test, Crossway is the way to go!

Fantastic experience: I passed the driving road test on the first try. After not driving for years I decided to get back on the road. I took 2 instruction classes 1 shortly after 5 hours class and the next the morning of road test. My instructor for thise lessons was very calm, informative and over all great - thanks Chris. Crossway is the school for all, very professional and all staff are friendly.

Fantastic experience: LETS JUST SAY I PASSED THE ROAD TEST ON MY FIRST TRY ! Luz García was my driving instructor and I genuinely LOVE HER. She was extremely patient, gave me the best tips, and made sure I was well prepared before the test. I would recommend her all the way. I took the package that included four classes, but I would recommend more if you aren't practicing with a car at home. The receptionist made the perfect choice of instructor.
