Fantastic experience: The Entire experience was A+ They were pleasant over the phone with my first initial call to the time I went into the office to set up my appointments. My instructor was amazing. I went to this school with prior driving experience, and had been to other schools, they don't compare! My instructor was patient and catered to my style of driving and molded into the proper ways to take the exam. From showing me on paper where i was making my mistakes to Passing my Road test. My instructions were easy to remember, and I say be patient with yourself anywhere you go. Learning takes time and its okay to give yourself grace I was so nervous, but all Its not easy trusting someplace you would never know the outcome of where you spend your money. I say spend it here, and get it done. I took two lessons after not taking lessons for over a year, and passing my road test! Thank You guys so much! My license before the Holidays is a great gift !

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff (Genesis) and instructors (Alfredo and Mario) ! They have all been very professional and patient every time I have gone for a driving lesson. They have been great with scheduling my lessons and answering any question(s) I have. I look forward to scheduling my road test soon and passing . I would highly recommend Jessi Driving School to family and friends !

Negative experience: I called for information about the following drivers defense course and Genesis was only able to inform that the upcoming class is booked and when asked about when is the following one she said “I don’t know” what type of business is being ran without a schedule or an employee who does not know basic information.

Fantastic experience: The team at Jessi Driving School taught me all there is to know about being safe on the road, as well as great tips/tricks for parallel parking. Their instructors are very patient and quick to offer constructive feedback on your decision making/technique. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I was waiting to do this review because I always have an amazing experience with Jessie's driving school for all their services, but this time I couldn't believe it. I went to accompany someone in signing up for one of the driving school packages, and a new agent helped us. I know she's new because she couldn't help me fax a paper a few days before this. She (G. Contreras i believe is her name) FULLY THREW the permit through the little window they have to the person signing up. Very distasteful. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day but thats not excuse for the unprofessionalism. This was on Sept 13 around 15:39. I watched it happen and kept asking "did she just throw your permit?" I believe she did this because of the conversation me and the person signing up was having while signing up with her, because there was a certain way he wanted to do it and she was about to overcharge him so I was just making sure the information was correct. I know she heard me when I kept asking did she just throw your permit, but continued to chat around with her coworkers who I know saw it happen to and did not correct her. Then, we kept having an issue with the codes needed to be received because she put the wrong information in the system, so it was just a very unpleasant experience overall. Not sure if I'll recommend Jessie's Driving School anymore because I'm not sure what attitude you're gonna get from the ladies and this is a place literally walking distance from me who is a big help when you need them. I could only vouch for one lady who's been there for years who is also a notary and she's bomb! Not sure what her name is, but is lightskin long hair knows what she's doing. I hope this is addressed. Nothing should be thrown to you in return, not even a paper, coins, anything.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing people as the staff and instructors are very professional and patient as they’ll help you and show you every little step it takes to become a great driver will definitely recommend to friends.

Negative experience: Good driver instructors I give them that! But the day of my road test, they tell me to arrive to the office at 12:45, and when getting to the place to take my actual road test I come to find out my test is 3:00pm. So I ended up waiting here 2 hours here to take my exam, missed work. They will not tell you the time of exam, they will just tell your arrival. Waiting 2 almost 3 to take this exam. So inconsiderate and they claimed they do it earlier so no one comes late. 3 hours earlier? Absolutely ridiculous and they couldn’t do anything to help this situation or better the inconvenience I had to experience.

Fantastic experience: WOW Experience! Everything was handled smoothly and professionally from beginning to end. This can be such an emotional roller coaster and it was the entire team that made it a great experience. From the owner Hector with his initial recommendations and guidance to Genesis for her patience in booking all of our 20 lessons and being so polite and accommodating to the awesome instructors - Mario and Miguel - especially Alfredo who made my daughter feel confident and got her through to the end of Passing her Road Test - we cannot say enough! Fantastic experience: This is school is very good I’m ngl i only had an issue with one instructor i can’t remember his name but i worked with Javier and he is very good. Calm and make you feel comfortable. I passed on my first try on the road test.

Fantastic experience: The stars couldn't even amount to the actual driving experience. It cost over $450.00 but every time Alfredo said "I think you need some more lessons", I didn't hesitate to pay for the lessons. The amount of experience that Mario, Miguel, Suhail, and their entire team has benefitted me throughout my achievements in obtaining my class D drivers license. The words are hard for me to explain. May God bless you all, and my advice to anyone who's looking to receive a driver's license. Don't waste time. You got to spend money to get money, and Jessi is well worth it, trust.

Fantastic experience: They are responsible and good teachers! It all depends on the level of your own responsibility and concentration when it comes to doing your internship and concentrating well in your classes and taking things seriously. The teachers are very patient and teach you well so that you can take your practical exam as I saw my practices, this is how my exam was! Thank you for helping me process my Driver's License and Professor Mario is definitely the best! And Javier Clemente is also very good and has a lot of patience. ‍♀️

Negative experience: We chose this driving school since it was the closest to where we live but we shouldn't have, the service or customer service is not the greatest, it feels rushed, maybe they are overwhelmed or not having a good day but that is the way we felt from the moment we paid for the classes till the end. We failed the first road test, and in the package we bought the lady in the front office told us that there is a second try but she never mentioned that we had to pay extra , I felt like they didn't clarify, well we decided to go to another driving school. Just ask all the questions from the beginning, I guess.

Fantastic experience: Passed the road test on my first try. I would like to thank all the instructors: Alfredo, Mario, Javier, and Miguel for their time and patience in teaching me how to drive. I've made many mistakes, but they were always kind enough to point out what I needed to improve on after every lesson. I never had any trouble with scheduling throughout my 16 lessons. Great front desk staff as well! Overall, I would highly recommend Jessi Driving School!

Fantastic experience: I took all my lessons with them and passed the road test today on my first try! The five hour class given by Mario is very helpful and informative. He’s also an amazing instructor you can tell he cares a lot about his students succeeding! I also took a lot of classes with Javier and he was also very helpful! If it wasn’t for the two of them I wouldn’t have been able to pass on my first try. Very grateful for them! Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Passed the road test on my first try!!! I had a little bit of driving experience out of state but before starting my lessons at Jessi, I hadn't been behind the wheel for 4+ years so I was pretty rusty. I took 6 lessons with Alfredo and I appreciated how calm he was with me but also very direct when giving instructions and feedback. I left every lesson knowing exactly what I needed to improve. I've seen other reviews saying how their lessons never started on time but I never had any issues. I'd say one downside (more so a personal downside) is that they aren't open on Sundays. I work 9-6ish on M-F (and was away most Saturdays) so I had to schedule most of my lessons on weekday evenings and work around my busy schedule. I also thought the 5 hour Zoom course was a bit all over the place - lots of students interrupting, sleeping, not paying attention which made it harder to learn and focus. Overall, definitely recommend. Staff and instructors were friendly and the online system was easy to use. THANK YOU!!!!!!

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible service! Everything is awful about this driving school. The driving instructors are indifferent and do not improve your driving skills in any way. Additionally, I had to drive different cars with different instructors rather than a single car. The driving instructors were also sometimes late, and given the fact that they charge $50 for not an hour of driving lessons but for only 45 minutes, it is simply unfair. On the day of the driving test, I had to drive a completely different car that I had never driven before, with dirty windows and an obsolete chair that made it very difficult to see properly or do any maneuvers. Not to mention that I had to wait an hour to have my driving test!!! When I decided to go to a different driving instructor and drive a single properly operating car with a single instructor, I passed on the first try. Jessi Driving School is a bunch of scammers who wasted both my money and time!!! Horrible driving school! I want to get a refund for such a terrible service.

Fantastic experience: Could not recommend JDS more!! They make it really easy in every way! Booking and keep track of your lessons is uncomplicated, and you can do so ahead of time based on your availability and instructor preference. Reminders are sent automatically before each lesson. The instructions are kind, incredibly patient and professional. I had 0 driving experience and in a month I was ready for my road test which I passed on my first try.(Thank you Javier and Mario!! You guys are the absolute best!!)

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test today!!! As a person who has never driven before, I took 7 lessons with Mario plus some out-of-state driving practice on my own, I was able to pass the road test on my first try!!! The instructors are super nice and helpful. And they brief you in on the testing area and what to look out for. Highly recommend. Cannot thank these instructors enough!!

Fantastic experience: I am so glad I picked Jessi Driving School for my lessons. This was my first time behind the wheel and my only means to a vehicle through my lessons. My driving instructor Mario Rosario made it so easy and direct when it came to teaching me what I needed to do to pass my road test. He was more confident in me than I was even in myself (I'm a pessimist) and I'm so glad he was there to push me along the way. The receptionists were also very courteous with me and pleasant to work with. I even got an email of congratulations for passing and one for my birthday that just passed. I really felt they had my best interest and wouldn't have it any other way. I thank Mario for putting up with me and Jessi Driving School for a life changing experience.

Fantastic experience: Took classes last year, only getting around to writing a review now because I've heard how hard of a time my other friends have had with their driving schools. As a native Yorker I'd never been behind the wheel until my 1st lesson. They took their time with me help me get over the fear of driving in New York. Taught me how to parallel park at 1 lesson and I passed my driving test on the 1st try I can't say nice enough things about this place!

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend this driving school to anyone, I have never driven before and I'm almost in my 40's and got my license but after failing twice and passing on my third try. I had alot of fear and doubt, plus my own life issues and they help me overcome all that and failing twice was all me this school prepares you well enough for your road test. I can't thank you guys enough for all of your help and patience, I had a good experience with it all. I have to thank especially the driver instructor Miguel, he has helped me out the most with this nerve-racking process thank you always.

Negative experience: Had a bad experience at this driving school last year. I was a new driver so I purchased the 10 class package, I loved my instructor, he was patient and honest and really helped me learn to drive. He is the only reason they are getting the 2nd star otherwise it would be a 1 star review. The day of my road test I used a completely different type of vehicle than what I was taught on with different controls that I was never taught how to use. Could you guess how my road test went? Then was practically forced to share whether I passed or failed during the drive back to the office from the testing area by a member of the staff that drove us there. Completely unprofessional. Will definitely seek other driving schools moving forward.

Fantastic experience: The instructors were really involved and helpful for me to pass successfully the driving test. All the people working at Jessi driving school were great and kind. I passed the two tests first try. I highly recommend this school.

Negative experience: There website glitches the system said I supposedly scheduled a driving lesson which I never did And had to pay it either way. After failing my first test they try to charge me125 for a car to use for 10 minutes for the test better off renting, they are expensive. Check out your options their lessons are helpful to know how to drive but not enough to prepare you for their test and they are always booked so a super low. I do not recommend. They do not give options to road test locations. Everyone who goes to red hook apparently fails and not they first time I heard about 5 people tell me this. Do not recommend location or driving school!

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend this driving school to anyone that's new to driving or just wants to perfect their skills. I had never driven a car prior to learning from them and even the thought of driving scared me, but they truly do have some incredible instructors. I took my first few classes with Javier and then switched to my lessens to learn with Mario (purely based on recommendation, both instructors are great). It took me about 16 classes in total, but they really helped build my confidence and understand the rules much better. Mario did a wonderful job and correcting me, but it's important to go into all your lessons willing to listen and build on whatever skills you may already have. If you communicate your needs to the staff and instructors they are more than happy to help and meet you at your needs. Over all a wonderful experience that I know will help many people achieve their goal of becoming a better driver.

Each one has been more than helpful especially considering I had never really gotten behind the wheel before. I purchased the package with 10 lessons and passed my road test with flying colors. Negative experience: This Driving school by far the most unprofessional place I have ever been in my 30 years of living. Services here was disappointing driving instructor was disrespectful kept addressing us /class as what your name boy or girl I found this most rude to keep listening to also was he Arguing with a number of students in the class his Taught also I call Business my trip back to the state were delayed so I call to have my 5 hour Send to me or to be informed that they would not mail it out to my address and that a stamp would be to much of a cost .... sue was the name I was giving to me when I asked to speak with Manager on 4/22/22 at 11:56 am eastern time I was told know you my request and that if they were to mail I have our certificate that they will not be responsible I am a half out of a grievance with the 311 in hope for And hope for other future mis complications

Fantastic experience: I came To this school because i seen all the AMAZING reviews about how good they taught you, coming from someone who was really nervous about driving period i was So scared but the instructor i had Was really amazing i had About 4 different ones but it didn’t bother because i got To know different ways to do stuff and each teacher made me feel comfortable but my main instructor was Miguel and he was really amazing. When i started Taking the lessons i was About 5 months pregnant and when it came down to the road test which was yesterday I’m 8 months pregnant now and i PASSED on my first try. I will Definitely recommend this driving school to all my friends and family. Thank you guys so much.

Fantastic experience: I did a package for 10 classes and took classes with three different instructors Javier, Bryant and Federico. Everyone here is great I felt like I learned great tips from all three instructors and I passed my road test on the first try !! Fantastic experience: Fantastic driving school. Really comprehensive lessons and they handle everything you need leading up to your road test (i.e. 5 hr course/scheduling test/transportation to testing site). Miguel was a great instructor who really helped me improve in my problem areas and understand key pointers to pass my test!

Fantastic experience: 100% recommend this school!! I just completed my 5 classes package and the Road Test through Jessi Driving School and believe me I never believed I could pass in the first try or even in a couple of tests! And I JUST DID and I now have my interim NY license!!! I cannot be more thankful to their amazing instructors for teaching me the right techniques, my shortcomings as a driver, and what to focus on to improve. My first class was the pre-licensing test and Mario Rosario was the lead instructor- the content was very helpful to prepare me for my upcoming classes with them. Followed by the 5 classes, 2 with Mario, 1 with Alfredo and 2 with Miguel. All 3 instructors guided me very well on the right skills, especially Mario Rosario who was very encouraging on my last class right before the test. I 100% recommend joining their classes for the entire experience right from the classes to the day of the test, creating the right environment to calm your nerves and be your best version at the day of the test!! PS: I passed my test at Red Hook test location with 10 points for turning and intersections: poor judgement approaching or at intersections. Make sure you are planning ahead of time for the classes, as they have a lot of students applying for classes and you may end up finding available slots a few weeks ahead.

Fantastic experience: I took my 5 hour class , lessons and test from this school and let me tell you, they are the best in NYC. They work with you to get what you want and when as much as possible and the beauties at the front desk are super friendly. I managed to take lessons from all the instructors and they are all extremely well and work with you on what needs to be worked on and recommend what they feel you need. I passed my test the first try and got my car within a week of passing! Will definitely come back to take the defensive driving course. Definitely come here!

Fantastic experience: Excellent and quality service from the driving instructors as well as the secretaries. Driving Instructors Mr. Mario and Mr. Alfredo make sure to have your money's worth of driving knowledge and even make exceptions for the fee you incur should a student driver miss a lesson due to work, school, etc. I'm proud to have gotten my Driver's License thanks to Jessi Driving School and highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I rarely write reviews but Jessie’s Driving School deserves special attention! First off, I purchased a 10 lesson package - spaced it out over a course of a few months, you schedule everything online so it’s super convenient (make sure you schedule ASAP, classes fill up QUICK). I was definitely nervous since I hadn’t driven for over a month before my road test, but upon driving up to the testing area Javier was so kind, encouraging & gave the group a few pointers which was SUPER HELPFUL! Literally, I passed on my first attempt all thanks to the amazing instructors here, especially Mario and Javier! These guys will call you out but will always guide you to the right direction! THANK YOU JDS! Also want to give a shout out to the lovely women at the office! Helped schedule/reschedule all my appointments & road test when needed and truly made every step of the way so much better! I am thrilled and incredibly appreciate of everyone’s help!!

Positive experience: I took 10 lessons and passed my road test on my first try. I took one lesson with Alfredo and nine with Javier. Alfredo was cool but a bit annoying. Javier was clam and made me feel comfortable. His techniques and good. If u listen, pay attention and follow the steps as he lays them out u should be good.

Fantastic experience: My license was past the point of renewal and Jessi driving school went above and beyond to help renew it. I signed up for 5 practice tests, 1 5 hour class, and a road test that was assigned to me once my instructor (Miguel) told me I was ready. Miguel is a great. Very patient, informative, and wants us students to succeed. Trust me and trust him! He knows what he's doing! The program overall is great. I found every staff member at Jessi to be helpful. If you are looking to learn to drive this place is for you! Thanks yall for helping me gain my license again!

Fantastic experience: I would 100% recommend this driving school. They are very professional and the instructions are great. I had my lessons with Mario and he was amazing. He is very patient and great with giving instructions. I passed my 1st road test and when I took my next round of lessons Mario was extremely encouraging and constantly reminded me that I knew how to drive but just needed to get out of my head and focus. Fantastic experience: I purchased ten classes, I took nine of them with Alfredo and one of them with Miguel. Everyone at Jessi’s driving school is extremely helpful and kind. From the two women at the office to all the instructors. Alfredo definitely helped me a lot in understanding and he taught me to not complicate things when driving. Miguel was also great even though I only took one lesson with him. He helped me with last minute touch ups ( I took my last lesson, which was with Miguel, the day before my test). And even though I had only met Javier on the day of my test, he was very kind to talk us through some last minute pointers, before the exam. Overall, I highly recommend Jessi’s Driving School! ... I passed on my first try and I had absolutely no experience behind the wheel before.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy that I chose Jessi driving school. I started my lessons in May and passed my road test on 6/15. Prior to coming to this driving school I did have some experience driving already. Mario taught the 5 hour class and was very detailed in explaining everything we needed for the road test. His personality made the class fun and interesting. Javier was my instructor for the driving lessons, I took 10 lessons with him. He was very calm and detailed and made me feel very comfortable. He took his time explaining everything and answered all of my questions very clearly. We worked on everything needed to pass the road test. The ladies in the office are so sweet and professional. Fantastic experience: I'm a 37 year old first time driver with no experience behind the wheel and I passed my road test on my first try! I am truly thankful for the instructors and staff here, they were all very helpful and they really want you to do well. Mario was my main instructor and although he got on my nerves sometimes, it was only because he knew I could do this, and didn't want me to get frustrated. With only 10 lessons and no outside driving, I passed with flying colors. In fact, all four of the students that tested that day in our group passed!

Fantastic experience: A little late with this review, but just wanted to say how great my experience was with this driving school. They do really well with communicating, they always texted & emailed me my driving lessons appointments days before the day of so I never miss showing up. My instructor was Javier & mainly with his help I passed my road test on my 1st try ! He made me write down the steps of driving & saw a change in my driving after 15 lessons with him. Also want to thank Alfredo & Mario as well for the tips & teaching me the basics of driving when they were my instructors last October. Meshing all 3 of their teachings together I was able to pass my 1st time so thank you all again .

Fantastic experience: I only took 5 classes with them, Javier was an amazing instructor and so was Alfredo! Both taught me what I needed to focus on and then right away took my road test and passed! I focused on everything they told me and listened and less then 10 minutes I finished.

Fantastic experience: Came to this driving school not knowing how to drive at all and within 10 classes I was able to pass my drivers test and they teach you how to drive by the rules and safely. I would really recommend this driving school they have amazing staff, the instructors are great very satisfied with everything. My instructor Mario Rosario and he was amazing he teaches you everything there is to know about passing you road test and driving as safe as possible and does really well with targeting your driving weaknesses during each class. overall 10/10

Fantastic experience: Great Experience at Jessi Driving School! When I started my driving lessons, I had no prior experience. They recommended me to start with the 10 Lessons Package, and they genuinely evaluated me and advise I wasn’t ready to take the road test. After 5 additional lessons, the instructors gave me the thumbs up, which made me feel comfortable for my test. Today, I am happy because on the first try I passed my Road Test. I want to give special kudos to all the instructors (Mario, Alfredo, Javier and Miguel A) for properly getting me ready and the Office Staff (Hector, Miuset, Suhail) for going above and beyond trying to accommodate the lessons around my busy schedule and for always keeping me updated on my Road Test appointment while the DMV website was down. They are truly an amazing team.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of having mr Garcia as an instructor I am a person with high anxiety and he made it so easy to learn how to drive and manuver the car still feeling anxious before my test and Me Garcia and the barrage of questions I asked him calmed me down considerably he is a very knowledgeable instructor, 30 lessons over multiple different schools and I can say hands down this is the best. What else can I say? My entire stomach was in knots before I took my test. Today I had Mario for a refresher course and he broke everything down to a science by the time we were done my confidence in parking was excellent. It was the exact thing I needed beforehand. Can't recommend this school more.

Fantastic experience: Jessi's driving school is a fantastic school! All the instructors are very patient, teach you how to pass the driving test, and generally are a pleasure to spend time with. The front desk is very responsive about scheduling your driving test and will call you with reminders. It took me three times to pass the test, but I will say it was never because of the school (I'm just a bad driving test taker). They really do their best to prepare you, and I'm happy I took all my driving hours here!

Fantastic experience: AMAZING SCHOOL WITH INSTRUCTORS WHO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT YOU PASSING!!! My instructor was Alfredo and he was so informative and patient. I passed my road test on the first try thanks to him. I was so nervous but he did an amazing job calming me down and giving me amazing advice to help me pass my test. The Woman at the front desk with the black glasses is also very warm and nice and accommodating to your schedule and rescheduling classes . 10/10 recommend!!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a 5 hr class and it was very profession and wasn’t at all boring. The instructions gave very well needed information and honestly saved me a whole lot of time and money. There might have been people how were inpatient and very immature but it didn’t get it the way of the instructor giving us all the information. Definitely 100% recommend Jessi Driving school.

Fantastic experience: Took my road test today and passed on my first try thanks to Jessi driving school. I first purchased the 10 package lessons but after doing 6 lessons with alfredo he told me I was not ready. I paused my last 4 lessons for a month to try and get practice outside of the lessons. That didn’t work out so I added 2 more lessons. Thank god my last 6 lessons were with Mario because he is a good instructor. I bought one more lesson before my test today and I passed on my first try !!!! Thank you jessi driving school !!! Both Mario and Alfredo are good alfredo is more hard on you.

Fantastic experience: Javier garcia was my instructor and he was absolutely amazing with teaching me how to pass my road test. 3 classes i dominated the test passed with flying colors. He took his time with explaining signs and road ways. He also did extra practices on my weaknesses until i perfected it . Everyone in there was polite and very hepful i would give them 100 stars if i could man thank you guys so much

Fantastic experience: I have taken the package 5h video + 1 driving lesson + road test. I already have a foreign driver License so I already knew how to drive. Whether during the video, the driving lesson or while accompagnying us to the road test, the teaching was really adapted for a person like me, giving plenty of tips for people who already have experience driving. Fantastic experience: I took 3 lessons with my instructor Javier. His energy and his aura does not make you feel extra nervous. He likes to speak with you before any lesson to get a sense of your experience if you have any, and if so how much and what you have done. Prior to these 3 classes I took 5 about 2 years ago, but was too nervous to ever do anything with it. This year I came back with the same instructor and decided it was time. Within these 3 lessons he helped me perfect and correct my errors and I was able to pass.

After every lesson I was much more confident behind the wheel. He’ll teach you the exact skills you need to pass the road test!

Fantastic experience: This school is one the best and only driving schools I've been to, the instructors really help you with know exactly what's wrong and what you need to do in order to pass, they give wonderful detail on every aspect of driving and really strive for all to pass on the first try, just like me. Fantastic experience: I came to Jessi’s based on a recommendation, I have had some driving practice with a private car but was told that I should do a couple of classes to better prepare for the road test. Jessi’s driving school did exactly that and did not disappoint. I did the three lesson package and it was worth it. I had Alfredo and Javier as my instructors, both very insightful. The instructors are friendly and genuinely want you to succeed on your road test they give you pointers, what to look out for, and are patient with you. Javier was especially helpful right before the road test. It was such a great experience and I was able to pass my road test on my first try. Fantastic experience: After Covid created a great delay in all life matters, I was so grateful to be able to discover Jessi's Driving School which (from all the ones in my neighborhood) had been so kind and attentive with my appointments and lesson requests. Aside from that, I was so blessed to be paired with such a great teacher, Mario –who honestly felt like a Life Coach, with the way he was able to explain the simplicity of how the "road" of life works everyday. He was such a respectful and valuable teacher, I'm so very grateful for his patience and uplifting feedback. Did the 5 hour class and the three package deal for my first time test, definitively worth it. I purchased an additional lesson before the road test and was able to pass.
