Fantastic experience: The registration process was quick and easy and I chose the online class. You can register online or in person. I recommend in-person so you can visit and ask any questions. When my daughter 15-year-old was old enough to learn to drive, I had to look for many trusted driving schools but luckily I found a 911 driving school. It is reputable, the class hours are serious and the teachers are very professional and friendly. I will introduce more about the school to my friends and relatives.

Fantastic experience: Great school. My child completed it online which worked well for her and was very convenient. Scheduling her drives was easy and all teachers were great and made her feel comfortable and at ease. The school was very communicative if any issues came up. Highly recommend this school

Fantastic experience: So glad my we chose this school for my daughter. Her two instructors are a police officer and a fireman. Overhearing their classes, they are engaging and interesting to listen to as well as just being great teachers. The office is very responsive and easy to work with. You wont find a better school to have your child navigate the difficult task of becoming a responsible and safe driver!

Negative experience: We were in this office to do the test for my daughter but they didn’t accept her school id to do test and they said need her passport .we explained that they told us on phone earlier that the school id is ok.so we couldn’t take the test because of there miss information.they provide us wrong information which lead us not having test.I even accept to bring her u.s. passport before her test to be done but they didn’t accept that either.On front they didn’t let me talk to manager.so disappointed whit this place

The office ladies are kind and sweet. Their cars are new and clean. Definitely recommend 911 driving school for new learners. I took 5 hours driving lessons and 1 driving test. Fantastic experience: Very impressed with this school. My son took the zoom classes back in December due to busy schedules. It was an 6 week class. All of the instructors were excellent and I felt more than comfortable when it was time for him to get his license. I was able to schedule all of his drives online and if there was a cancellation the school would call and see if we wanted to get him in earlier. He took his written test in school and right after that we were able to schedule his final driving test. It was so nice having him be able to do the final test with someone from the school instead of an angry employee from the DMV. The day he passed his info was put into the DOL and the Monday after he got his license. Very smooth experience. I would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I had Bryan as my drive test instructor and I don’t think I could’ve had a better one. As someone with adhd, I need someone that will go at my pace and wait for me instead of rushing. And without knowing that, that’s exactly what he did. I was able to pass my test because I felt comfortable and confident. You guys picked good!

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to the states from Australia and was surprised to discover my License could not transfer across and I would be required to complete a knowledge test and driving test. I found 911 Driving school and not only were they incredibly helpful the process was relatively easy, they provide all the resources for you to pass should you utilize it. The drive test aspect was also a comfortable process ( as someone who hasn't sat a license test for 15 years). I would highly recommend 911 Driving School.

Negative experience: how does this place have a high star reviews!! if i could give them negative stars believe me i would!! i just read the other negative reviews and i totally agree!! i also have Twins and it's getting to the point were it's just overpriced and ridiculous!! if you cancel a class they charge you if you go over your time frame they charge you!! they freaken charge you extra for everything without even letting you know upfront!! if i knew they would charge me a fee for canceling, i would have never cancel my son's class!! also if you make an appointment for a driving class make sure you get proof!! i went with my twins and they told us we weren't schedule for a drive!! and then try to charge money to schedule another one!! like nooo!! i'm done!! #rantingsorrynotsorry

Fantastic experience: Was very happy with the instructors my daughter had. I listened in to many classroom sessions (she did virtual) and was very impressed by how the sessions were taught, very informative and at a pace that made it easy for her to retain the info, etc. (I even got a refresher on some things lol) We had a few hiccups with the staff that answers the phones but overall I will be sending our youngest here when it is time for her to get her license. Negative experience: Watch out! This company will give you the run-around. They love to pocket your cash and not forward info to the DMV Instructors will intentionally fail you during driving tests. This place only exists to take your money.

Positive experience: We forgot the policy that we needed to finish the course within a limited time. Due to my daughter's fear of driving and other obligations, she exceeded the allotted time. Thankfully, the lady who looks like the manager was able to charge a penalty and extend the course. Otherwise, we would have had to start over again. The front desk receptionists seemed overworked and stressed, making it very hard to get a hold of a real person, so I had to drive to the office. Overall, we liked the instructor and the office manager. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I went today to ask about the knowledge test, and adult driving lessons. The two front desk were so helpful, and so kind. I found some cheaper places that were unprofessional... but to be honest their customer service is worth the extra dollars. It's about quality not quantity.

Negative experience: Taking a driving course can be an exciting, yet stressful experience for teenagers and their parents alike. When signing up for this course we chose to get the all inclusive package deal which cost each child, $745, totaling for us $1490! Prior to payment I was told I could schedule my twin girls at the same time for in person drives. Unfortunately after paying the money, the 911 Driving School owner informed me that they do not help with scheduling in person drives until after the final completion of the in classroom courses. As frustrating as this was , I proceeded to express my concerns to the owner Lisa, on two occasions, when dropping the twins off but was told to leave the building due to my inability to except in person drives on Mother’s day!! 911 Driving School failed to send us the initial login for the website scheduling, from the start, we expressed this to her but was told to wait for it until in person scheduling. So we waited…no answer! I decided to have a in person chat, I left the building feeling unappreciated after speaking with Lisa. I thought maybe she was having a bad day, I will try another day. Nope…today I was told to leave the building for harassment. Granted our case is a bit special, we have twins, scheduling drives has not been a pleasant or promising experience but a memorable one for sure. Thank you so much 911 Driving for helping our daughters accomplish their goal of completing the drawn out course due to lack of staffing and overbooking your classes.

Fantastic experience: The online classes were convenient and taught both of my teenagers what they needed to know before getting in the car. The drives were helpful, and all of the instructors were patient and kind. Once you are in the system, the front desk team will help you find drive times for your student. Calling to schedule is far easier than the online schedule. We had an excellent experience with Kent 911.

Fantastic experience: This place is the reason I’m finally driving at 21 years old. For way too long I was terrified of driving— I went to another driving school in my town during highschool, passed the written test, but got too scared to take the driving test and put it off until my written test expired. Finally, last summer, I was convinced to try again and at least take some private lessons to get confident for the test. Nothing was available in my city so I came here, out of my way, and it was worth it! The teachers were amazing and encouraging and that positive reinforcement is exactly what I needed to become a more confident (and ultimately safer) driver! : )

Negative experience: Wasted my money, the lady took me to a parking lot where I had been practicing with my friends,She let me drive for 30mins which was okay then she drove me around on the road telling me the same information I watch on YouTube. Then she told me to ask my friends to take me on the road to practice before I come back. My friends don’t have an extra brake on the passenger seat.

Negative experience: Classes and drives went pretty well, but my problem is that the drives took 5 months to complete because of the overload of students. The skills test was also very difficult to schedule because of the trash call system in place and the fact that they wouldn’t let me schedule it online or over email.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was happy to be registered at this driving school. She was so happy to attend the classes! She learned a lot in class and enjoyed the classes a lot. She recommended 911 driving school to one of her friends and her friend loved it too. The instructors are all ex-policemen/firemen, so they are very knowledgeable about the accidents that happen on the streets and teach based on experience. Highly recommend this driving school to everyone!

My son is not a fan of classroom settings yet he looked forward to every class. He passed both his written and drive test on the first try. I received the information that I needed in a timely fashion although chose to go with a different driving school closer to home now that I’m leaving review will you please stop messaging me to leave a review.

Fantastic experience: Good instructors and as long as we stayed on schedule, everything was very very smooth.

Negative experience: Teachers and online classes were great. The company however allowed too many students into the online classes and could not provide enough instructors to support the number of actual drives these students needed after school hours to pass the class and driving test. My student and a friend’s were both unable to schedule enough drives to get their license before the “class expired.” I tried calling and emailing the company multiple times and got no response. Even though my child passed the written test, and did a great job, we were out the $650 and my child now has to retake the class and we have to pay another $650. Not good practices or what I expected from a class that is endorsed by the law enforcement. Disappointed and I want others to be aware.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has completed this driving school and the written exam here so far. We’ve had a great experience and would recommend this place to everyone. Our younger children will be coming here as well. They have rules set (such as how many classes you can miss/make up and like a deadline by when to finish all the steps for the school), but they are so quick to respond to emails and phone calls and are very understanding, accommodating and professional.

Negative experience: Horrible. I paid about $750 for the classes back in March. My teen daughter has had ONE "one on one" driving lesson so far. Not enough open slots for teen driving...she was supposed to have one more lesson in 2 days. They just cancelled...I had already asked for a day off at work...we have to wait till they have something else available...horrible service. --------- NO REFUNDS. Unless you make sure to call or show up at their office in person you won't be able to schedule a class soon enough. Their web page doesn't show enough open lessons for you to be able to get into one. We couldn't finish before the deadline and lost almost 800 dollars...sweet.

Negative experience: I enrolled my daughter and my friend enrolled her two daughters pre my recommendation. We are having the most horrible experience ever! Out of 30 kids, only 2 pass the practice exam and the instructor informed them it’s normal. Apparently it has not occurred to the school that the instructor is supposed to help kids pass not fail. In addition you cannot schedule drives with them. Drives must be scheduled during school hours. Really!! I emailed the school regarding this and their response is “we are short staffed” plus the email was board-lined rude. I’m sorry, the worked is short staffed but we make it happen due to ethics. I’m really disappointed.

Fantastic experience: My son's instructor has been phenomenal to him in the classroom. He's highly experienced and knowledgeable. My son comes home having learned and remembered way more than he does in regular school. I also appreciate the instructor's willingness to spend extra time with the kids when they need it. A+ experience so far.

Positive experience: I have put 2 of my children through driving school with 911, and for the most part they do an excellent job teaching the students. Most of the instructors are very good at what they do. My child was sometimes bored, but depending on the instructor, sometimes very engaged. I know staffing enough instructors has been a big challenge especially since the pandemic, but scheduling drives has been the most frustrating part this time around. The guidance is to "check every day", but in what world does anyone have that kind of time? I get it, new drives open up daily, but it's just not efficient for busy families juggling so much. It definitely was not this difficult when my older child went through this experience with 911. Also, PLEASE open up more drives on the evenings & weekends. Most of the drive time slots I've seen lately are during school hours. This is driving school for students, not the doctor. Let's cater to their schedules so their grades aren't impacted, ok? I'm pretty sure it doesn't qualify as an excused absence. I'm not thrilled about the idea of pulling my student out of high school and taking time off of work to pick him up and take him to go do a drive, when I never had to for his older sister. Not to mention I am now paying $150 more than I paid for his older sister. Lastly, staff is very slow to respond to emails. I tried to schedule the knowledge test several days ago and have yet to receive a response.

Fantastic experience: I'm really glad we went with this driving school in Kent location. They put safety first and each class is very informative and my daughter enjoyed hearing Rick's stories. I highly recommend them for first time drivers. The instructors are very professional and give good and useful feedback, which was helpful for my daughter to improve after every class. Their vehicles used for driving classes are comfortable for a new driver and has good visibility. I would tell anyone to go here that is looking for a driving school. I heard of them from my friend and SIL.

Negative experience: Almost impossible to get a hold of. I tried calling, leaving messages, and emailing. Not one call back or response. The only reliable way to ask a question or even schedule something was by going down in person. Even that was a chore because it took ungodly long to do simple tasks. On top of that I felt like the whole course was a waste of time. I had to practically reteach my daughter everything for the written exam and work extensively with her on the behind the wheel test on skills she was lacking from her drives. All in all it was a disappointment through and through. Everything seemed like a cash cow for the bureaucracy. If I could get my money back I would. I hope others see this review as it will be posted on Yelp as well.

Fantastic experience: Instructors and staff are helpful and informative. There’s nothing to be nervous about while under their guidance. Prices are comparable to other driving schools. I like that they use the Kia Souls to take your test in because they are so easy to drive and visibility is better than most cars.

Fantastic experience: The class instructor was knowledgeable and engaging for my son. I had reservations with an online curriculum; however, he kept the students in active participation. The instructors for the in-person drives were top tier; establishing trust and a level of mutual respect with the students, which I believe encourages them to ask more questions and truly learn throughout the process. It goes without saying that we will only get out what we put into something, so the quality of the experience is primarily based on the student's ability to learn and follow directions; but it should be noted that this team of instructors are truly set apart from rest. The field instructors undoubtedly set the tone for a sound learning environment. While the few we encountered were great, Aaron was exceptional with my son and deserves more than an honorable mention. He truly connects with these young adults and takes a vested interest in their learning. He takes pride in his role at 911 and it shows. Our experience with 911 Kent was fantastic and I highly recommend their team.

Negative experience: I still haven't been able to understand how I failed to pass the written driving test twice at this school! I asked for my test in Spanish and they both had a horrible translation, not to say bad !! I told my husband, I WILL NOT COME BACK THERE AGAIN!! I WILL NOT LEAVE MY MONEY THERE AGAIN!! What do you think I went directly to the Driver License offices, paid for my test and passed my test the first time!! I would not recommend this school to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The instructor my daughter had was AWESOME! Steve Perry is kind, caring, and passionate. He gave my daughter all the driving tips and advice. She can parallel park like a pro now, thanks to Steve. She got 100% on the driving test. I don't have to worry about her driving by herself. The office staff helped us schedule the driving lessons and knowledge/driving tests by e-mail and in person. As long as you try to book a few weeks ahead, there are no problems. Fantastic experience: Daughter took course during COVID and drives were extremely backed up. They worked with us to ensure she got her drives in before the expiration date. The course instructor and all of the drive instructors made her feel at ease while testing. This was the second child we put through this school and both times it was a very positive experience.

Negative experience: Four years ago when my daughter took the class it was much better. INSTRUCTION - the instructions were online and dry. Instructor wasn’t an engaging person able to hold students’ attention, unfortunately. When my daughter took the class, the instructor was funny, really engaging and daughter learned so much. So, I was really disappointed. DRIVE - 4 out of 5 instructors were good. One instructor wanted parent in the drive, the other acted as I should go home. Policy doesn’t seem to be consistent and not communicated well. If I were a new parent, I would’ve been very confused. DRIVE RESERVATION - this is the reason for the 2 stars. It took my son one year to complete the drives. Had I known it would take this long, I would have gone to another school. They were not upfront with this and I had no way to change after the classes were done. They did not schedule extra drives for other classes to catch up on. The online reservation system never worked for me. Every single drive, I had to schedule by calling them which they discouraged (just go online…). Just for comparison, daughter took classes during the summer and had her license by Jan. Son still hasn’t taken the written test after 1 year. Unfortunately, I will be suggesting my friend to take his son elsewhere for instructions.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent program! My child took it in 2019 so it was in person in a classroom at high school. There was good preparation for the test, and it worked out well for the driving lessons too. One of the driving instructors would say over and over, "Gas gas gas gas gas gas!" or, "Left left left left left left!" etc while the students were driving, purposely to get them used to paying attention despite other noise and distractions around them, which was a good experience. We were very pleased with the program, especially since my child passed both written and driving on the first try. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Our daughter did the weekend class with my husband sitting in with her. They have really enjoyed the instructors and really enjoy them sharing their stories. I would absolutely recommend this driving school to all my friends and family.

Fantastic experience: They had convenient online classes for my daughter to take with 2 working parents. The driving instructors were pleasant and helpful. Scheduling drives was online and easy. We had to cancel a drive pushing out the time when my daughter was supposed to have all of her drives completed; I called the office and they worked with me and extended the deadline. The school made it easy to schedule the written and driving test as well! I would definitely recommend this school for drivers education.

Negative experience: It took 7 months for my son to complete this 8 week program. They are backlogged for the drives and booking those drives was not easy. On several occasions, they didn’t answer their phone when called and leaving voice mail/email was not conducive to within business day needs. The online zoom classes and in person drive instruction was great- for that I would give 4 stars, but the inconvenience and lack of customer service for office based communication and scheduling overshadow our experience.

Fantastic experience: My son had a wonderful experience at 911 (Kent). They had very knowledgeable instructors (former 1st responders) that made him feel comfortable and gave good advice. They were not intimidating at all which was a huge plus for my son. The only issue we had was we had a difficult time scheduling the drives online but if you call the office they are very friendly and will help you schedule the drives. I would recommend Kent 911 for anyone who is looking for a good, quality driving school for their child(ren).

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a wonderful experience with the expert instructors five years back so signed my son with 911 driving school again this year when he was approaching his 16th birthday to gain the best driving knowledge.

Fantastic experience: 2nd kid that did drivers school with 911 and again they did not disappoint. With this experience, Covid affected the in class learning (had to do it over zoom), but it was just as effective. They did a good job of trying to get his drives scheduled due to being back logged as a result of Covid closures. I appreciated the patience and helpfulness of the office staff when I’d call for assistance. The best part for my son (who has anxiety) was his driving instructor, Steve, at the Kent location. He truly made a difference in helping my son drive. He was always personable and kind, positive with feedback, and very encouraging. If I had any more children, I’d send them to this school again for learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: My son recently finished the classroom component of the program. The office was great to work with when the whole family came down with Covid in the midst of my son being scheduled to take class 1 & 2. My son liked his instructor and the make up instructor he had for sessions 1 & 2. So far it's been a great experience.

Positive experience: I felt very confident in the instruction given at 911 (my daughter managed to get 100% on the written exam & 96% on the driving exam). The instructors and front desk representatives were informative and friendly. My only criticism... I wish there was a better/more efficient way of signing up for drives. My daughter tried online for months with no luck. It was especially frustrating to hear that friends who were months younger than her had been able to get appointments when she couldn't. When we finally called, Christina (?) was VERY helpful in trying to get her appointments by phone. She went out of her way to call when there were cancellations and when instructors opened up new time slots. It was just a bit disappointing that even though my daughter finished the classes in February, she wasn't able to complete her drives until late November (her 16th birthday was mid-August). Overall, good experience... just needs to find or create a better platform for signing up!

Positive experience: Pretty good, most of the instructors I’ve met are really helpful and good at teaching simpler ways to do some hard skills on the road… it is super hard to get a drive appointment so I take every opportunity I get!

Positive experience: Updated review: super hard to get my 5 drives in… BUT I took my lessons during Covid, so the schedule was SUPER backed up, but once I got my first drive, it was easy to get the rest. I really enjoyed the instructors and the receptionists are nice to chat with. I’ve been licensed for a year and recently got into an accident, (I was not at fault) but because of the defensive driving I was taught here, i managed to escape it with minimal damage. I’m super thankful to Kent 911 driving school.

Negative experience: My sons didn't have a good experience with this driving school because it was a challenge to get their behind-the-wheel drives scheduled. They sent us emails and if we didn't confirm on time, the spot was given away.

Fantastic experience: I have been super impressed with their quick response to any inquires I have made. The instructor has been great. My son is learning a lot and doing well.

Fantastic experience: My son has enjoyed taking driving lessons at 911 Driving School of Kent. The challenging part is trying to schedule the drives with instructors, but they are good about returning emails and calls to schedule drives. Instructors are professional and what better way to support First Responders! I highly recommend 911 Driving School of Kent.

Positive experience: Very patient teachers and staff. Overall a good experience. I would recommend to others. The only reason for a 4 and not 5 star review are the following areas of confusion for me/opportunity for the school: 1. I signed my child up for classes at the nearest school, with the understanding that the classes would be online. But it was not clear to me until it was time to drive, that the drives were in Kent and not at the school I enrolled my student in. 2. No one ever answers the phone. I know in this day and age, most everything is done in email, but sometimes a phone call is more convenient.

Fantastic experience: I felt very comfortable with my daughter driving/training with 911 and it's instructors. She learned something new from each trainer she had. She passed both of her tests the first time around.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed!! My daughter took the April 26th class this past spring and we still haven’t been able to schedule drives. My daughter passed her final exam but had one class to make up and no one has even tried to call to help us. Not a happy camper about my $700 bucks.
