Fantastic experience: My experience here was great! I purchased 5 lessons and the test and took 1 class with Ricky and 4 with Sebastian. They were both cool instructors. Sebastian was very attentive and made sure you understood everything when it comes to driving and getting ready for the exam. I used to be so nervous to drive and procrastinated on getting practice to finally get my license for 2 whole years; literally spending so much on uber/lyft, but Ricky and Sebastian made sure I was comfortable. We've done parking, highways, streets, and residential areas. I didn't even need my 5th lesson because I grasped everything and felt confident but of course I used it anyway. In a span of 2 weeks I took all the lessons and my exam right after my last lesson. I passed it with flying colors!

Negative experience: I have just had a phone call with the school representative (his name is Ricardo). I wanted to make sure what I need to do in order to obtain a driver license. Ricardo was very rude and impatient. I will move forward with another school.

Fantastic experience: Having put off obtaining my license for over a decade, I finally decided to just go and do it. AB Auto was there for me every step of the way whether it was rides to and from their office to my house, personal driving lessons, or even rides to the DMV! (If you've never been to the DMV walk-in, go around 5:30-6:00 AM) AB Auto worked with my schedule and let me know if there were any changes aside from very few times where there was miscommunication, but they worked to fix them ASAP. The process for the Drug and Alcohol Test as well as the Permit Exam are somewhat lengthy(not their fault), however they teach you a lot, are necessary for a license, and made easy to pass on the first try as long as you pay attention. My instructor, Natalie Camacho, was a perfect fit for me. She's detail oriented, critical but not harsh, and really stops you from developing bad/unsafe driving habits. I'm taking further lessons even after passing my driving exam because I feel that there's much more to learn about being a responsible driver, especially in South Florida. As for the test, there was nothing I wasn't completely prepared for throughout the three initial lessons I took. My timeline in my 5 days at AB Auto were October 2nd - Pass Drug & Alcohol Test + Permit Exam, October 3rd and 4th - Pickup Permit from DMV (Didn't go early enough on the 3rd!), October 8th - First Driving Lesson, October 10th - Second Driving Lesson, October 11th - Third Driving Lesson, October 14th - Driving Test, October 16th - Pickup License from DMV. I work 2 jobs 7 days a week so my schedule is all over the place and I've never operated a vehicle prior to this process, so I believe anyone could do this within a week. Good luck!

Positive experience: I had a great experience with my instructor, Ryan, who taught me everything I needed to know, as I passed my driving exam. I was completely confident that I was going to do great like I was told, but my exam did not go as expected. I had Jeff as my instructor. He entered the car in a strange manner and didn’t say anything to me until he was finished with his iPad. His instructions were unclear and overall he seemed impatient and aggressive. But what really upset me was towards the end of my exam, I approached a solid line with no stop sign (one that I stopped at every single time with my instructor as we practiced) as I slowed down to stop, the road is clear and he says “oh turn left”. To myself I thought “okay I’m supposed to stop here.” Once I approach the middle of the road, mid turn, he slams on his breaks and aggressively tells me “why didn’t you stop”, I told him that I followed his directions. Still in the middle of the road and a car approaching from my left, now he’s just repeatedly slamming on the breaks in my face without saying a word. The car is still on the left waiting for us to move and at this point we are becoming an obstruction to traffic because he decided to waste time. I would’ve appreciated a simple “okay you were supposed to stop there but keep moving forward and stop at the next line” or just less of a mix up in directions. Then I finished the exam as told, parked the car, where he then ended the exam and left without saying a word.

Negative experience: I was literally driving on the road and saw not a student driver but whoever owns that red mini car driving and fully on their phone, as I continued to drive behind them they made an improper right turn by not merging into the turning lane and almost made me crash into them, if this is how they teach people to drive I would never go here, this is so crazy a freaking driving school! What!

Negative experience: The driver instructor for the practice test was very rude , unprofessional and he seemed like he has anger issues . He doesn’t correct you on any mistakes , he just gets mad and he seems really impatient . 0/10 . I still passed but idk his name and im not sure why they would hire someone so rude like that but he is the only African American who works there ( if you know, you know)

I came in with little to no driving experience and Mr federico, an instructor at AB auto helped me pass my test within an hour and a half of driving. I didn’t think it was possible but he made it possible. Thankful for the services.

Positive experience: I walked-in for my driving exam and very quickly I got a quick practice test and the final exam. Most of the staff was heplful. However, the car I used requires heavy maintenance (at least 4 yellow maintenance alerts were on, from problems with driving wheel to pressure of wheels)

Negative experience: Totally dishonest operation .The female tester in the case of my friend who I took there claimed that the driver rode the SIDEWALK on leaving the shopping center. On checking the exit had no paved sidewalk only a bit of grass that was growing In the roadway. JUST A GOTCHA SITUATION TO FORCE A RETEST AND OBTAIN ANOTHER FEE. They should be investigated by the DVM . Don't waste your money there. BUYER BEWARE!!!! I saw your response but I happen to have a photo of the location and, beg to differ on the description of the so called "sidewalk".There was as described in my original post /"no paved sidewalk only a bit of grass that was growing In the roadway". I did not really expect a bunch of dishonest folks to attest of guilt. Your automatic fail as I said is a GOTCHA moment ,and I leave it to the consumer to take care of you. I expect more people will come forward with their stories soon.

Negative experience: It's waste of time going here and taking the Permit or Knowledge test of Driving. They are over charging. If you fail exam , they will again charge for training to retake the exam. Though you take training or not even in the same day you already taken training also have to pay. No courtesy and they behave rude. I suggest not to go here for Permit / Knowledge exam. Waste of time . Try many others schools who can do better training and support.
