Negative experience: This place is a complete letdown and clearly prioritizes profit over customer service. Many individuals mistakenly believe they will successfully pass their tests here, but that's far from the reality. The person I spoke with on the phone was not only unhelpful but downright disrespectful. It's hard to understand how people can fail for something as basic as a pedestrian sign. After my appointment was canceled, I reached out to the Secretary of State regarding my failed test. They informed me that anyone who has had a similar experience should submit a written complaint for investigation. It's time for accountability.

Negative experience: My dad recently took a driving test with them, and it was an incredibly frustrating experience. As a student driver, he was hoping for a supportive and encouraging environment, and instead, the instructor was very rude and dismissive. He took my dad to a parking lot, barely gave any clear instructions, and his demeanor made the situation even more stressful. What made it worse was the feeling that the examiner was more focused on intentionally failing people to make money off retests rather than genuinely helping them improve. As someone who sees a driving test as an opportunity to showcase his skills to a professional and correct any mistakes made, my dad expected constructive feedback—something that would help him become a better driver. Unfortunately, instead of offering helpful guidance or inspiration, the examiner seemed more interested in creating an uncomfortable experience. It’s disappointing that the examiner didn’t take the chance to help correct small errors and build confidence. Overall, Instructors or examiners should encourage improvement, not discourage learner and an individual should acquire ethical and moral values before calling himself an examiner. To be clear, failing the test isn’t the issue, nor do we take passing for granted and I am aware of the state regulations for driving schools and the standards required for fair judgment. What matters is the way the examiner handles the process in passing or failing regardless. I hope the examiner sees every encounter as a chance to improve his approach. This would not only make him a better examiner but also allow student drivers—even if they fail—to walk away feeling encouraged to correct their mistakes in longer runs and retake the test with confidence, rather than feeling demotivated.

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional. Scheduled an appointment for 2pm and at 2:45pm they told us to have a seat and that it will be longer. Didn’t accept valid insurance on the car so we had to pay an extra $20 to use one of there cars. Could barely understand them they barely speak english. Had to cancel the appointment because we were waiting almost an hour and was told we’d have to wait longer. Would not recommend coming here. edit: we were 5 minutes late. we had valid proof of insurance you guys just didn’t take it cause you wanted to scam my dad out of money. you guys should maybe listen to your reviews and get better staff because you are extremely unprofessional and are scammers! hope you get shut down soon

Negative experience: The driving test center is terrible. I took the test today, successfully passed the parking test, and smoothly started the road test. After completing a few turning instructions, I was driving forward when I encountered a truck parked in the right lane. The truck was quite wide, slightly encroaching into my lane, but there was still enough space for me to pass, and my speed was below 30 miles per hour. Suddenly, the examiner grabbed the steering wheel and turned it left, yelling at me that I was going to hit the truck. When we returned to the test center, he claimed I had failed the test for this reason. I clearly had enough safe distance from the truck, but he was convinced I was going to hit it. I argued that it was just his baseless assumption, but then he started accusing me of crossing the line while driving and refused to communicate any further. This examiner was awful. I truly believe he was racially biased against Asians because he treated me with extreme rudeness and failed me for a ridiculous reason. My friend (also Asian) took the test here as well and complained about receiving similarly poor treatment. I don’t want to tie everything to race, but if you’re not Middle Eastern or Muslim, I would advise against taking the test here. If you do, avoid the Middle Eastern-looking white examiner who drives a blue car. By the way, some reviews say you can talk to a manager if there’s an issue, but in reality, there is no manager. The test center is small, with only a few examiners and a receptionist.

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience. I was a walk in that came around 10:30a on a Monday. I waited around 30 minutes and the exam was was around 45 minutes long. They are cash only, but there is an ATM inside.

Negative experience: This place is not worth your time and money, They charge you 60 dollars and look for any minor reason to fail you so you can come back again and again until you pass. I passed the parking lot portion of the test but when he put me on the road he failed me for not stopping in front of a stop sign when I did. Even my mother and grandfather knew it was bullshit since they’ve been practicing with me for months and they even know that my brain is wired to stop in front of stop signs. The instructors are very rude and will rush you through so they can take their money and leave. The area in general is tight and packed with cars all over the street and they leave no room for lenience so one minor mistake is all it takes for them to send you back. They do not take credit so you will have no chance of getting your money back and the building itself is just a dirty poorly renovated house. If you’re thinking of going here please just don’t, Save yourself the trip because if you look like a sucker they will suck your wallet dry.

Negative experience: They are basically money sucking scammers. I would have given 0 reviews if there was an option. Me and my wife went yesterday for a driving test. She parked properly without touching the cones and she did a little adjustment before that. All they said was “you have exhausted your points and you have failed your exam”. He never showed what was the mistakes and just ended the test in initial 10min. Basically they will never clear your test in first try as it’s $60. They will make sure you come in multiple times until you pass the test. Run as far away from this place. We went to a different location on the same day where she passed the exam in the first try with minimum deduction points. Zero review. End of Story. Don’t book your test here.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I would never recommend going there. The customer service is awful, and one of the examiners, who has a long beard name Mr.Junaid is extremely rude and unprofessional. He doesn't know how to communicate with student drivers properly and even insisted on taking a right turn at a red light in a very first minute of my test. Being an examiner you are not the one who explains or teaches us the state roles. I'm talking about his behavior. Who the hell is he to say " Waiting for whom on Red signal, why you didn't took right on red, who are you to say during test it's optional, You don't know the laws, you want to change the roles". Please tell him at least he should respect of beard. And do arrange ethics and human management training of your examiner's. Honestly speaking: just in respect of elders I didn't answered him at all. On the other hand, really I would like appreciate examiner Mr.Azeem, he was polite, kind and respectful. But never ever choose this person Mr.Junaid.

Negative experience: You walk in and they say wait time is an hour to an hour and half. They have you pay and give all your paperwork and end up making you wait 4 hours for your turn. The custumer service with me was not bad because I tried my best to prevent any problems but the way they were treating other customers was terrible and disrespectful. I don't think saving a couple bucks on a road test is truly worth the terrible experience you might receive here or see someone receive.

Negative experience: Today, 8/9/24, I went for my driving test. I passed the basic parking part, drove on the road and freeway, and everything was going well. Then, no more than 2 miles before I was supposed to park, a police car with lights on passed me. I moved over as I was supposed to, but there were parked cars on my right, so I couldn’t move that much. I parked about 2 minutes later, and the inspector told me I failed because I didn’t give enough space to the police car. By the way, my inspector was on their phone throughout the entire road test and wasn’t even paying attention to what I was doing. So, I don’t recommend anyone go here unless you’re Muslim or from the Middle East. If that’s the case, you’re good—you can pass on the first try. No hate to the Muslim community; I personally love the culture. This is likely a scam by the inspectors who “evaluate” the test. They seem to target Black, Hispanic, and non-Muslim people. I don’t want to sound discriminatory or nothing, it is my personal opinion and what I saw when I was there.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with my road test and extremely affordable with car rental. The office is busy, but easy-going (they accept walk-ins, however there may be a long wait. It was worth it!). They have a comfortable porch with seating outside, or a waiting room inside also. The examiner I had was very nice, friendly, and laid back, the test was easy peasy! Just take your time and practice, and you shouldn't have anything to worry about!

Negative experience: A horrible, unprofessional sweat shop environment! I don’t know how they are certified or even in business! There were so many red flags I don’t know why we didn’t leave immediately! The initial check in process is ok. The instructor Ahmad is unprofessional and arrogant! He failed my son because he complained about the condition of the car and the lack of air in the vehicle. It was 93 degrees and the fan blew but not cold air. I complained and asked them to show me that the vehicle had working air. They were hesitant but after being persistent, they took me to the vehicle and lo and behold, no air. I asked for them to allow my son to use my vehicle to retest or at the very least to refund us which they refused. I have contacted the State of Michigan and I will not stop until something is done. They are ripping people off and they do not care. I truly believe that they are running a scam operation and I will be getting to the bottom of it. This place deserves absolutely ZERO stars! This is a place for THEM not US! Trust me, this review is not based on a failure, because they can and will happen! The his review is based on a business ripping people off and having a lack of integrity! Edit! Went to Storia in Taylor and passed with flying colors! This place needs to be SHUT DOWN!!!!

Negative experience: I went Here for my drivers test I passed the parking segment of the test once we started driving the instructor started making smart side remarks so I said something back we got into a little argument he asked me to abruptly pull over and said the test was over. Negative experience: went there today to take my driving test, waited over an hour and i made an appointment. driving instructor was respectful but didn’t give clear directions and the car they provided had poor alignment so it was difficult to turn when parking, i didn’t pass the parking test and never did the actual driving test so he drove and dropped me off at a grocery store nearby. waste of time and money.

Negative experience: Do not come here!!! they are scamming everyone for their money, They will automatically fail you the first time so you can come back again And spend more money. Took a test here they did not even let me get to the road before they failed me we started with parking I was here for roughly around three minutes and somehow managed to get 9 points within those three minutes. Also the instructor was not in the car while the test was being done he was outside of the car chatting with a fellow employee. I read the reviews and noticed that everyone also has experienced the same thing I’ve experienced so I decided the same day to go to another same-day road test just for me to pass, save your money and go elsewhere they are extremely disrespectful and money hungry also they changed their buildings due to them ripping people off.

Please I recommend anyone do not come here (My reply to response : first of all you literally made up 5 different things I never ran through any red light , first time I was told I missed a stop sign and second time they failed me because of my right turn and they said I need to be quicker which they could’ve overlooked . Secondly you literally made up that I came with student visas I was living in this country since I was 2 years old why the hell are you making stuff up about your customers .. good luck with your business bunch of scammers !!!!

They fail people so they come back and make the $65 twice. It seems like a good deal but you’ll be wasting your money. Negative experience: I came here to pass. the instructors simply make up the rules, for example, that at a stop sign you not only need to stop, but also count to three, although this is not in the rules. That's why they said that I failed. When I asked them to show me where it was written, they did not want to communicate anymore. They need you to fail the first time. They say you failed, even though there are no mistakes. It is impossible to get there the first time, so it is better not to waste time and just go to another place. You just pay money, but there is no result and you are wasting time

Negative experience: SCAM ALERT!!!! As many others have pointed out, they don't know the laws themselves and if you try to argue with them they will gaslight into thinking you are wrong. God knows how many people they have scammed like that. They will take your money but won't give you your license if they don't like you. You can be the perfect driver, break no laws or rules and they would still fail you. But they will make at least some people happy so they can scam some people and take their money but as long as it's the minority being scammed and lied to, nobody would sue them. They scammed my friend who is about 20 years old. Said he made only two mistakes and that was not stopping at yield sign both times. Even though he slowed down and yielded the right of way. They also mentioned "Sorry buddy if you only made that mistake one time it would've been pass." It just happened today and they are refusing to give him his license and hiding the report. Edit: From reading the reviews and talking to my friend. Majority of the examiners are POS. Horrible. Most of them don't know the laws themselves. He also said they are very biased and he had to wait for 5 hours, and people who came after him with no appointments went before him. That is not as big of an issue as the scam. Also I looked into IP addresses and history of many of the people that are giving positive reviews, many of them seem connected to one another .... Someday they will scam the wrong guy and get taught a severe lesson. Lets just hope it's through the legal system.

Negative experience: Go at your own risk. Choosing this establishment was a mistake the moment I entered, and saw the area we were meant to wait in, with no cleanliness. In the midst of my test, the taker would say comments like “you haven’t practiced” and other demoralizing things that are not helpful. Also for someone who is not a resident of Hamtramck, it is difficult to know that some lanes become left turn only UNTIL you reach the intersection, which is what happened to me. I then proceeded to switch lanes the moment I saw this, because I was not aware of this arrow until I myself saw it since cars were in the front. I was not going to go straight in a left lane only, but that was enough for me to end the test. They pride themselves in being the lowest priced tests, but it’s low for a reason. Went to another place afterwards which I highly recommend, Shahndan Driving. Staff is super kind and most importantly, fair.

Positive experience: OK.. SO I AM UPDATING MY REVIEW AND RATING.. FROM 1 STAR TO 4 ONLY AND I DO MEAN ONLY BECAUSE OF A INSTRUCTOR BY THE NAME OF JAHEED. HOPE I SPELLED HIS NAME RIGHT. IF YOU GO THERE PLEASE HAVE HIM FOR YOUR ROAD TEST.. HE IS BY THE BOOK BUT HE IS FAIR.. HE IS RESPECTFUL AND HE IS PROFESSIONAL.. AND VERY POSITIVE AND ENCOURAGING.. SO GO SEE HIM.. ANOTHER PLUS IS THEIR PRICES.. WHICH ARE THE BEST AROUND.. GIVE THEM A TRY. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED OR NERVOUS IF YOU SEE JAHEED..

Negative experience: The instructor was rude. My daughter did mess up but his response to her would've made someone not want to drive again. Very unprofessional. I wish I had read the reviews before we went there. Horrible experience. It may be cheaper but it's not worth it.

Negative experience: If u want even a chance to pass then don’t go here. My experience was not being told instructions clearly and the instructor telling me I failed , and when I attempted to let him know I didn’t understand what he meant, my instructor proceeded to tell me it’s common sense and all around being rude and disrespectful. I went to another place and passed right away.
