Fantastic experience: I got a package that included everything, The best instructors are Jose and Lisa. They are both patient and very knowledgeable about driving. Indio is a show off that bragged about his commercial license my whole lesson. And hated on the other employee’s. Ralphy and his wife are really cool people and work with so you can succeed. Fantastic experience: Very helpful, I highly recommend it here. Everyone is so friendly, you get a real comfortable family-feel from them and they handle everything you need quickly and efficiently. The instructor taught me what I needed to know and we practiced carefully, and repeatedly, without judgement and with so much patience. Now through Janice I finally passed my road test after trying and failing by myself too many times so I'm really glad I decided to try this school and really grateful to them for teaching me and helping me feel comfortable and ready to pass.

Fantastic experience: Choosing this driving school was the best choice. I only took 6 practice lessons!!! And passed my road test all due to the best teacher Jose. I highly recommend Jose because he is patient and gives you the confidence that you need. You’ll grasp everything that he is saying because he teaches you at your own pace. Fantastic experience: Everyone there is kind, friendly and work hard with you and they work with your schedule! I unfortunately had to take the test twice but they were able to help me both times ! Their instructors are amazing teachers and very knowledgeable! I enjoyed my time there, and I was able to do everything in a month. I got my license in one month. Thanks so much to them.

Fantastic experience: Janice Driving School is hands down Wonderful. The whole staff there is great. The minute I walked into the school I could feel the positivity radiating from the staff. Aida, and Rafi would always greet me with such kindness, and they would do their best to accommodate my schedule. The whole staff there really do have a can- do -spirit and they truly want you to pass. I had the pleasure to drive with all three instructors Lisa, Jose, and Indio. All three are truly wonderful. They were so patient, kind, and really did their best to teach me everything you needed to know to pass the driving exam. I truly enjoyed driving with them. The last week before the driving exam I was nervous, but I had Indio and he worked extremely hard with me, he truly made it his mission to help me pass the exam. We worked a lot on what I had issues with until I became confident enough to move forward. The next day I passed my exam! I am so thankful for every one’s help. God led me to this place, and I couldn’t have been happier. Truly grateful. I highly recommend the Janice Driving School.

Positive experience: Staff has great personality ,very cordial, when registering fast and efficient service .Driving classes were right to the point ,very specific very detail on driving test requirements. Parallel parking was my weakness and they gave me few tips ,had me try and try until I had it amd I nail it on the test!.Had 2 instructors both were very knowledgable and patient as well as encouraging. Fantastic experience: Everyone's experience is different. My experience in Janice was great. They made sure I learned and perfected everything and then polished whatever weak points I had left before the exam. I took my exam today 3/23/23 and passed (1st try). Fantastic experience: Words will never completely cover how grateful I am for this school or the staff. They had a great spirit from the moment you walk in and automatically begin to root for your success .They accommodate to your schedule and even picked me up since I was in the neighborhood! Like come on! Staff is so genuine and kind !! The customer service is top tier and every client receives personal attention . The instructors carry on this amazing “you can do it” spirit and provide such a calming atmosphere while you’re behind the wheel. Being behind a wheel can be terrifying but I had fun at every lesson and every interaction. This isn’t my first driving school and I can honestly say it’s night and day from my last one. I would stand by this school and rate it 10/10 will always recommend . When I failed my test they were there to uplift me and when I passed a couple days later they were rooting and cheering me on. Fantastic experience: best of the best!! passed with my first try. I did have experience already driving but there were many things I was not good at and did not know how to do. My instructor, Jose, taught me everything step by step, with 3 lessons I was ready and good to go. Also, all my classes were set and reserved really fast. When I booked an extra class they were able to find a time for me to take my last class before my road test. Highly recommend this school to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Around a week ago from today I started my 10 classes with Janice driving school and today I passed my road test. I took 9 classes with Jose and 1 with Indio with no prior practice before coming to this school. Everything was amazing and from the 1st class to my last class. I couldn’t believe everything I learned in just 10 classes with no prior experience. Everyone is very nice and the hospitality is wonderful.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this school not only are the owners friendly, they also made me feel comfortable. I had zero experience behind the wheel, so I was a bit worried. But I went ahead and bought the 10 class package and have not looked back. Despite my very little knowledge with driving, Jose made sure to teach me everything I had to know in order to pass my test. I passed my test 12/10/2022. Jose is the best! 100/10. I will be going back for highway classes.

Fantastic experience: I am writing this as I received the passing results of my road test! I purchased a 3 lesson package and 2 additional lessons because I wanted to be extra prepared. I passed my test on the first try and had Leo as my instructor for all my lessons. I felt very confident and well prepared. On the day of the road test, I had the pleasure of meeting Indio who took his time to give us tips on how to pass the road test while we were driving to the site. I will highly recommend this driving school!!

Negative experience: These folks are so corny. I took lessons months before my due date. My driving instructor was playing music on her phone and just chatting away. My parallel parking wasn't perfect but I had it. I was told by the owner that if I didn't get it perfect that I would fail the road test. That's a big fat lie. You can still pass the road test. So they had me take extra lessons. They kept extending my road test and pushed it months ahead which was my due date to give birth. When I asked about it the owner said that they couldn't change it and couldn't give me another date after since time went by. Oh and book your own road test it's free on the DMV website and easy to complete once you have your 5 hour certificate. This place will find ways to dig in your pockets.

Fantastic experience: I love these people. The owners are kind and are very encouraging and will work with your schedule. I've gotten to meet most of the drivers and they were all very kind but Indio specifically helped me understand things in great detail. I recommend this school for absolute beginners like I was but if you have experience this is also a great school for you to refreshen your memory.

Jose was also very helpful and he was more serious and made me try and try until i go it. Fantastic experience: This is a great driving school. I chose the 10 driving classes package. Each class was very beneficial. Indio, Eric & Leo are great instructors. They tell/show you everything you need to know to pass and to become an overall good driver. Just passed my exam 1/18/22 on my first try. Positive experience: Janice Driving School taught me how to drive and park well. Some teachers are better than others. They are patient and kind. However, I think they should all meet to plan how they are going to teach their students because some are not on the same page on things we should or should not do on the road. This will help them learn the same tips and the correct vocabulary the best teachers use to teach us how to drive well. For example, Jose taught me things I would have liked to learn since day 1 of my lessons. Therefore, they should all prepare together to plan good quality lessons. I was able to taste a variety of roads in several lessons, even though one of the teachers only had me driving on the same spot repeatedly. Lastly, I passed my test on the second try and I'm grateful for the accommodations the school provided and I thank the teachers for their service.

Negative experience: Their driving instructors are incompetent. They can't fathom the idea of someone who has no driving experience and are very poor at helping you get used to the feel of the vehicle. They're also very forgetful and unprofessional. They can barely remember who you are, even if you just did a class with them the previous day. They're terrible at teaching you how to parallel park as well. I learned how to parallel park more from watching video instructions about it than from them. They almost made me pay for a new certificate that I needed for my driving test when they had my previous certificate in their office. I highly recommend going to a different school.

Fantastic experience: I ordered the full package which was 10 classes, 5hrs and they take you to take the test. I didn’t have the same instructors every single class which was good because they all taught me something different and I learned from all of them. Also passed on my first try! They’re also very honest on if you’re ready to take the test or not. Definitely recommend ❤️

It could have been less classes but there's nothing wrong with having more practice. All staff was kind and very professional and extremely helpful!!! All drivers knew what they were doing. Pricing is affordable and worth it!!!

Fantastic experience: Let me start off by saying that I did my research on most of the driving schools in the Bronx, and Janice Driving School had the most positive reviews. So I decided to check them out. Unfortunately, I had to purchase two different packages because I ended failing the first test. The first package was a great deal for 8 lessons. The second package to retake the test was very disappointing being that I paid half as much for 2 lessons compared to the 8 lessons. I had two different instructors, but one of them was controlling the car too much. How are we supposed to learn if he’s constantly touching the steering wheel or pressing down on the brakes? I could see if I’ve never drove before and he did that, but I have experience. I paid for the lessons to make improvements and to get my license to be independent. Other than that, the staffs are very professional, great communication skills, very helpful, they give out great tips, and more. I did get my license thanks to Janice Driving School. You won’t regret choosing them, I promise you!!!

Negative experience: I got my driving license because of this school but that was a few years ago. I talked so well about this place and even recommended it to others. But this year my sister took classes with them and they are nothing what they were before. They’re VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Told my sister to come in at 11am for her road test and at the last minute, one of the workers there called her at 10am yelling at her because she wasn’t at the school. Long story short, this place is not what it was before. Im disappointed and I feel bad that my sister had to go through that bad experience. No longer going to recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Best experience with a driving school. Patient instructors, friendly staff, well serviced car. Unfortunately didn't pass the road test, but I would recommend the full 10 classes and/or paying extra $ for a better road test location (new drivers - avoid Zerega)

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test first time around. I did the 10 lessons package and had Jose as an instructor. Jose was AMAZING! I love his teaching style, he makes sure you’re confident behind the wheel, and he lets you know the areas you need to improve in prior to your road test. Even though I just passed my road test I will be coming back to Janice to sign up for highway lessons. When you go to Janice Driving School ask for Jose and you are sure to pass!!!!

Negative experience: Although the instructors were friendly, I leave 2 stars because people are being tricked into paying more money than they should. Another student and I failed our first road test after taking classes with this school. We were taken back to the school where we were told we had to pay $120 to retake it. I asked why so much and I was told that it cost $90 to rent the driving school car and the rest were fees. The other student paid, but since my husband and I have a car, I told them I would take it on my own. The owner then charged me $22 to schedule my second test. When I got home, I found out that you can reschedule your second test for free on the DMV website. When I saw this, I called back and asked for a refund. I was refunded $20- at that point I didn't care that they kept $2. I am taking my road test again next month in my personal car, for free. I've heard so many people have paid $120 for a retake, which is a total scam. Please beware and make sure you're informed before you're pressured into paying unnecessary money for something you can do for free or for less. Update: I took a few classes with Elegant Driving School in Longwood and passed my road test the second time around. They really prepared me for the test.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school. I passed on my first try. The instructors are very knowledgeable and are sooooo patient. Even if you happen to mess up, they insure you that they are there to help and to prepare you. Setting up my classes was a breeze and the owner will give you a follow up call to remind you that you have a lesson set up which is very helpful. Fantastic experience: YOU WILL GET YOUR DRIVER LICENSE!!!! Great driving school you will learn, and very friendly/patient instructors. I got the beginner package which is at a great deal for the amount of lessons, 5hour class and car/test.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent Driving School! My instructor was Santiago and he was very patient, kind, and most importantly helpful because he instilled the skills I needed to pass the test; which I did on the first try. I originally had signed up for 5 classes, but added one more class when the school opened up again after COVID to just feel a little more comfortable with driving. Overall, come to this driving school you won't regret it!

Rafael and jose are great instructors, they give you the confidence and skills you need to help pass the road test. Fantastic experience: Amazing driving school with amazing instructors!! My main instructor was Jose who’s calm and wise presence was definitely helpful. Jose was very thorough with his instructions and very patient with me while also boosting my confidence through the process. If you guys want your license go with Janice driving school and apply for the 8 driving class or 10 class package it’s almost a guarantee that you pass the exam! P.s - my test was in New Rochelle which was a perfect remote location with minimal traffic and pedestrian.
