Negative experience: this was a while ago so if he doesn’t work there anymore problem solved. but while i was doing the 3 driving training sessions my instructor mike got into a road rage with a trucker in downtown cos then yelled at me and when i arrived home he yelled at my mother for the good part of what felt like 10 minutes.

Fantastic experience: Carol is an excellent instructor! She made my son feel comfortable during his driving lesson. Very professional and incredibly friendly! The staff is wonderful! Thank you so much, Carol, for assisting my son in obtaining his driver's license.

Fantastic experience: I took my driving test with Joshua, and it was great. He was nice. He also gave clear and well-timed instructions. The main thing for me was how chill he was. My nerves were a little up, but I didn't feel any pressure from him. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Genuinely appreciate this place and especially my drive instructor Josh. Just passed the drive test with him, and he was a great examiner; didn't stress me out or anything, and was diligent about making sure I was ready to take the test. He actually checked my profile beforehand and saw that I had double booked an examination, and called me before hand to confirm I wanted to take the test today. Overall just super pleased with them and their process. Couldn't recommend them and Josh enough.

Fantastic experience: It's been awhile since I've driven and had to get my license all over again after not having it for a few years. So i did a refresher lesson with Daniel who was absolutely fantastic. Daniel you rock socks! And Byron was delightful. I appreciate his humorous nature and how it calmed my driving test nerves. Thank you both very much! You are both awesome!

Fantastic experience: Byron was amazing! This was my son’s second time taking the test. My son went to a different driving school for the first test and the instructor made him really nervous. Byron was great at making my son feel comfortable. I will definitely be bringing my other son when he starts learning to drive. Thank you Byron!

Fantastic experience: I had two instructors for my Behind the Wheel (BTW) training, Fabian and Daniel. Both of them were great! I felt comfortable, and was able to have a conversation with both of them, which made the learning more fun. Fabian and Daniel both gave great feedback and made me feel more confident when driving. Daniel taught me how to back in and didn’t give up on trying to help me learn when I wasn’t going anywhere with backing in for at least 10 minutes. I didn’t feel like I couldn’t ask questions as they both were very happy to answer any question I asked. I’m truly grateful to Daniel and Fabian, thank you both so much. I enjoyed my time learning with you both! Daniel and Fabian would be the Instructors I HIGHLY recommend. I wish I could’ve booked my drivers test with one of them. They both make you feel safe and comfortable when driving, if you do something wrong when driving they tell you and help you learn it better. UPDATE: I passed my driving test. Great teachers, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Fabian and Mr. Byron were exceptional instructors who went above and beyond in teaching me how to drive safely and confidently. Mr. Fabian was thorough and patient, breaking down complex driving skills into manageable steps. His focus on safety and proper driving techniques ensured I developed a strong foundation and became a competent driver. Mr. Byron, on the other hand, brought a great balance of professionalism and a relaxed, engaging teaching style. His positive attitude made the lessons enjoyable and his practical advice was invaluable. I developed confidence in driving because of him. He is really cool! Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Lost 110 dollars because I do not know the rules, and American Driving Academy does not tell you because they make you book online. First issue, if you have failed a drivers test on that day, you can not take it again. Do not sign up for another appointment that day, even if they did not examine your first test. Second, they do not check to make sure your permit or license is valid until you get there, and if it is your fault it is invalid, they charge you not refund. Friendly people and they have lots of refund rules on their website but need people to be aware they are very unforgiving if you are ignorant of the rules.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Rhonda. She was wonderful, have me helpful tips even though I've been driving for over 25 years, I let my license expire because I didn't realize it was due. She got me on quick, testing was great and had a great conversation. Highly recommend using American Driving Academy and booking with Rhonda! Thanks for everything!

Keith first of all was very welcoming, great communication skills, he understands the level of stress of a student driver mostly for a foreigner like me. He did his best to put me at ease. Even forgot i was being tested, the driving experience went pretty smooth. I felt very comfortable, his instructions were specifics, and on time. His advices were pretty clear. If i had to do it again i would definitely chose Keith. Thank you Keith!! All this after failing twice with another company because the instructors from this other company weren’t nice, instructions weren’t clear and they were not very welcoming with their attitude no patience at all which caused more stress during the drive. I am glad that i chose the American Driving Academy this time!

Fantastic experience: Fabian: 0/5 Lee: 5/5 Fabian? He will definitely shout at you and ask you questions to make you lose focus on driving. He also uses his phone alot in class, and even gaslighting you. But don't get me wrong, they are generally nice people. When I failed my first driving test, my instructor Rick reminded me why am I getting a fail.

Fantastic experience: From the moment of arrival I felt assured that I was in good hands. I was treated respectfully, fairly, and felt comfortable through my entire experience from walking in the door while taking my exam and then the after exam briefing. I was worried I would be anxious but my instructor had a professional and reassuring demeanor where I could take my exam with no anxiety or added stress. The exam was strait forward reviewing all of the basic prerequisites of what would be needed for the future of my driving on the road. After the test I was explained the mistakes I made, where I did well, where I could improve and then was shown every step I would need to take after the test to receive my license. I would recommend them to anyone needing to take their driving test and I know I would have done even better on my test if I were to have taken one of their driving classes. If you want to have the best opportunity with a fair and honest test and an excellent instructor you should book your time here.

Fantastic experience: I was very happy with my drivers test experience with Chelsea, She was very friendly and helpful from the beginning to the end, she helped me as much as possible and gave me some really good feedback after the test to help with my future driving.

Fantastic experience: The facility is small and tucked away in an office building, but it's right in the middle of southeast Denver and was quiet and clean inside. Jared was super friendly and made me feel very comfortable during my test. Afterwards, he answered all of my questions and provided some very helpful feedback about my test. He also gave me some history regarding driving laws which was very insightful. Overall, it was worth the $90 And staff was great!!

Fantastic experience: A few years ago this place helped me to get my license—recently, I was in need of some additional lessons after a while away from the wheel and so went back for some Behind the Wheel lessons. I was taught by Nate, who was excellent—very informative, great at teaching and keeping me comfortable and calm. I’d recommend this place! I definitely plan to utilize their services again if I need more refreshers.

Negative experience: Sometimes you wonder how a company can stay in business so long. Well these ones are thief’s. If I were you don’t use them. There hole structure of their company is to take your money and do not work. Their favorite advertisement is same day appointments. The part they leave out is no matter how little time before you schedule it 2 mins or 8 days it falls under 18 hours. The company is a scam.

Negative experience: I had an on-street driving lesson with Cherie, and it was one of the worst experiences I've had. Even from meeting her in the office, I immediately noticed that she had a passive-aggressive attitude. This persisted during our lesson as she continued to act rude and snappy; constantly raising her voice, saying things like "WHY are you doing that? HUH?!" in a mocking and dumbfounded tone. Just absolutely no patience for dealing with a new student. I'm not sure whether she was just having a bad day, and I can't speak for the other instructors at American Driving Academy. However, I won't be returning to this business anytime soon. I've since had a different lesson with MasterDrive, and one of their instructors was far more patient and understanding.

Fantastic experience: Chelsea was amazing, put me at ease even tho I was not at all comfortable taking the road test ( was forced into it). and not being able to use my own car. 5 star rating !!!!!!

Negative experience: I had Becky for my classroom instruction and the information in the classroom was great. Although most of the reviews on here are not honest because on the last day of class Becky asked all the students to "give her money" by writing a 5 star review and mentioning her name in that review. She said all students who did this would be able to use their phone for the last 2 hours of class. So technically the student is not even getting the 30 hours of classroom time paid for. Scheduling the behind the wheel lessons were such a hassle. I had 3 lessons canceled by them in a row. The first was canceled by Josh. He gave no reason for the cancellation. He did reschedule. The rescheduled lesson was then canceled again by them due to the possibility of rain. He said he would reschedule "soon". Weeks went by and no response. I tried reaching out to Josh and still no answer. I called the office and I spoke to Keith. Keith was not very polite on the phone and he said it was my responsibility that Josh was not answering and "it's between me and Josh" that Josh won't respond. Finally Keith agreed to get Josh and Josh said he had no intention of reaching out and rescheduling like he said(this was 3 weeks later from when he said he would). After that I scheduled a lesson with Byron. I arrived early and asked Tracy if I was at the right location. He looked up my name and Information on the computer and said yes. After about 30 mins they informed me that I was at the wrong location and their system had malfunctioned. I rescheduled a week later and Bryon was 5 minutes late. If the student is 5 minutes late they "forfeit $55" but no penalty if instructors are late. During the lesson the gas light came on so we also had to stop to fill up the car during the paid time of the lesson. The behind the wheel lessons were good. I had Josh for for 2/3 of my behind the wheel lessons. He was fantastic, very calm and enjoyable to be around. I had Byron for the other lesson. Bryon was also good. I had Dina for my Driving Test and she was also amazing. She was very nice, very calm and would recommend her.

Fantastic experience: James V (Colorado Springs Location)was great and told a couple jokes before my test, which made me laugh and helped me relax. I passed! So grateful to have the opportunity to go somewhere and take the drivers test in a provided vehicle.

Positive experience: I sat in the waiting area prior to, and during my son's driving test with Robert. While I waited, I witnessed several other kids return from their test drives with other instructors/testers. The kids fortunate enough to be working with Tracy were given specific instruction regarding access to their DMV License status, and a print-out of their successful completion of the driving exam. When my son returned with Robert, he was given no further instructions for obtaining his license. We were given the print-out. That was important because when my son tried to complete the license process on line, he received notification from American driving Academy (via text and email) that he had failed his driving test.We returned to the school and Tracy corrected the issue, then reassured my very concerned kiddo. Tracy's kindness and professionalism were wonderful. Robert= 0 stars. Tracy= 5 Stars.

Fantastic experience: This school was one of the best forms of education I have ever experienced. The teacher, Becky, was very engaging. Despite the fact that I did get bored during moments, this is gonna happen in every driving class because they need to repeat and enforce knowledge that someone may not know, that others might. The teacher was very kind, and helpful. The I didn’t stress too much, the amount of work was not hard, and overall it was kind of a fun experience.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience I’ve ever had when taking my drivers test. My instructor Rick was nice and polite and had patience, he made me feel comfortable and safe. I 100% will be coming back here for my kids to have the same experience, I recommend this place and also Rick deserves a raise most def. He doesn’t belittle you or make you feel stupid nor does he give you any attitude or discrimination and I’ve had some really bad instructor's but not him. Thank you so much Rick for making me feel safe and comfortable and for for being patient, kind and understanding and for not belittling me when I made a mistake and for properly educating me on them instead.

May you both keep doing the same..I also have a concern with fabian with whom i took one btw class, I wouldnt suggest him..to anybody..he wasted my time by filling fuel, taking me to car wash..and constantly demotivated me during the entire session..But the school is great! Fantastic experience: I've been meaning to write a review for American Driving Academy for a while, but I overall was successful with getting my permits license here. Back in the summer of 2023, I wanted to make sure I was on track to get a permits license by 15. So I decided to do the full 475$ course, and I'd say it was worth it. Compared to driving schools such as Master Drive, which is almost 1000$, I'd definitely pick this school for the win. My class instructor, Jean Madison, was extremely friendly and professional with her teaching abilities. The material they teach is basically every aspect to driving, teaching, how to drive, and what not to do while on the road. And many things I've learned I've applied on the road while I'm driving. I also took the permit test here, and although i didn't pass the 1st time, they were very friendly and encouraged me, to which I passed my 2nd attempt. Finally, I was successful in getting my permit here. All your information is sent straight to the DMV, so it's a fast process to get your permit/license. Overall, to anyone looking to go into driving school, I'd definitely recommend American Driving Academy, it's affordable, and a great incorporation, highly recommend.

Negative experience: My family’s experience with America Driving School (CO Springs, Union Blvd location) was deeply disappointing, due to the behavior of their instructor, Rick. When I, as a concerned parent, requested an understanding of the specific violations that led to my daughter’s driving test failure, his response was shockingly condescending, rude, and far from professional. During my daughter’s driving test, Rick’s demeanor added to her nervousness and made her feel uncomfortable. She stated that most of his directions during the examination were provided with little to no warning. This caused both mental and emotional stress. What’s even more troubling is that one of her high school friends had a similar experience with Rick, suggesting a pattern of unprofessional conduct. Given these concerns, we feel compelled to share our daughter’s experiences with the Armed Forces board, as improving the behavior and professionalism of instructors at America Driving School is essential to ensure a positive and supportive environment for all future students.

Fantastic experience: Becky from the central location of Colorado Springs was fantastic. I did the 30 hour permit class, and she did an amazing job at explaining everything and answering our questions to the best of her ability. I loved having her as my instructor. Being very patient with all the teenagers that just wanted to nap in the early morning, or be on their phones for the more boring parts. I appreciate it Becky.

Fantastic experience: There are so many driving schools in the Denver/Aurora area it's hard to pick. American Driving Academy deserves more than 5 stars. Harry at the Aurora location was amazing because he was so professional, courteous, relaxed and informative. If you're nervous or have concerns then this is the place to go. You'll spend less than the other 'safe' schools as well. Thanks Harry you're an asset to ADA!

Negative experience: I failed in the driving test because I was "speeding" in the school zone as the evaluator said. I was coming from 35mph into 20 mph for the school zone and and the passing into the school zone I was at 24mph still slowing and reducing the speed under 20mph. They called it a serious action which means an automatic failure. The evaluator kept insisting that I was speeding so he had a reason to fail me. After I spoke to the manager he said he trusts his evaluator and he is not going to pull out the route video as it isn't reasonable cause he trusts his evaluator. REALLY??? So if an evaluator comes out with a reason to fail the manager will just apparently support him and not try to listen to the student AT ALL. BETTER LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE TO PASS THE DRIVING TEST cause if you don't take classes with them and spend enough money here they will KEEP FAILING YOU!!!

Fantastic experience: Harry was very professional and reassuring. He was patient and took the time to explain everything beforehand. During the test he helped keep me calm and reassuring me I was doing great. My experience with this academy was very pleasant and I will be bringing my nieces and nephew here when it’s their turn. 5* service.

Fantastic experience: Hey there! So I am super happy as I have been trying to take care of this for the last 5 yrs due to getting the right birth certificate..don't get me started! Anyway, James was my instructor, and I felt very comfortable driving with him as we drove thru the (much needed paving streets)..I have to say I have been so nervous about this damn test for quite some time now, but i arrived early and got to talking with james and by the time it was time to get out there my jitters passed and BOOM I'm finally legal and no longer have to creep around dodging cops lol.. seriously tho. Shout out to James! Thank you James, number one instructor! This man deserves a raise!!!!

Fantastic experience: Marissa at the Aurora office is AMAZING! She made me so comfortable the entire test and we got through it with no issues. :) Scheduling was super easy and convenient! & When I called to reschedule for an earlier date, the customer service agent I spoke to was great and got my appointment moved no problem. I’d definitely recommend ADA to anyone who needs a driving test, and specifically Marissa as again, she did an amazing job. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I went to take my drivers test for the second time in my life. Tracy helped me out! He was very professional, educational, and all around a great guy! I passed once again; and I love how he pointed out things I did wrong even though I pass, but kept it positive. Thank you Tracy!

Negative experience: This school has a really messed up refund policy which caused me to loose out on $80. I understand their policy requires you to be prepared for the test and I forgot my driving permit so I had asked if I could upload it on my Colorado app I would just need 2 minutes for my wife to send a picture and have it uploaded. The driving instructor told me no "I don't have time i have another appointment." So I was about to be on my way when he decides to start talking and talking asking about my work and setting up appointments and then cancelling because I didn't want to pay again. I sat there for 20 minutes while he was doing all this when he could have just let me upload my permit and then take the test that is only 15 minutes. If you need a good reliable drive school then call Drive-Right Academy Inc they only charge $65 and don't require you to pay before your appointment.

Fantastic experience: Maria was very friendly and professional. She was very specific on what I was being asked to do and did whatever she needed to to make sure I understood her directions. She was very understanding and professional. Thank you Maria!

Negative experience: I really did not like my service at this academy. The driving instructor was very rude to me from the start. He didn’t greet me and talked to me in a disrespectful tone when telling me to sit down. When he told me I failed the drivers test he said it in a very disrespectful way. The instructors name was James Villegas. I high recommend others to schedule with a different place.
