We offer private lessons to anyone who has a valid permit or valid license. We can usually schedule an appointment within two business days. People may request private lessons for many different reasons. Below are a few of the most common.

Roy's Driver & Rider Education has been providing quality drivers education classes for Maine residents for over 60 years for individuals looking to get their Maine drivers license or Maine motorcycle license. We offer Maine drivers license education classes year round and Maine motorcycle license education classes seasonally.

We offer driver's education classes in Auburn, Bethel (Telstar High School), Brunswick, Freeport (Freeport High School), Gardiner (Gardiner Area High School), Lewiston, Livermore Falls, Readfield (Maranacook Community High School), Waldoboro (Medomak Valley High School), Wales (Oak Hill High School), Rockport (Camden Hills Regional High School), and Turner.

A majority of our driver education students benefit from taking a road test preparation lesson(s). We use that time to break any bad habits that the student may have developed while driving on their permit. We also observe any weaknesses and work to correct them with the student.

Experiencia negativa: Negative stars I would rate it if I could. I would not and will not be recommending this school to anyone. The car my child had to drive in was beyond disgusting, worse than a garbage dump. There was a lack of actual instruction and the school seems very disorganized and unprofessional. The instructor seemed miserable and made my child very uncomfortable. Very disappointed in our experience. For the price I paid I should have been able to at least say one thing nice.

Experiencia fantástica: Aaron Marable was a great driving instructor. Very respectful and easy to work with. My daughter and I had a great time in class and on the road. Aaron gave great insight and made driving fun and informative. Every two hours on road lesson was met with a review of our daughters progress. As for Roy's driver & rider education I found it very easy to sign up and complete all of the different aspects of the states paperwork. All in all I found the total experience to be enjoyable.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter’s driving instructor went above and beyond to make it safer for her. The night driving was a struggle, he switched her driving days so she wouldn’t be driving in the dark (4pm.) Thanks Craig W.
