A two-hour, first-touch motorcycle experience. Designed to familiarize you with a motorcycle’s primary parts and controls, and help you determine whether motorcycling is a good personal choice. You are given the opportunity to ride a motorcycle in a controlled area. This is an excellent way to explore motorcycling. It will give you valuable clutch and throttle practice to help you keep up with the fast pace of the basic rider course. This is not a licensing class.

The Basic RiderCourse Licensing program provides the basic entry-level skills for a new rider to begin practicing and developing the mental and motor skills important for safer street operation.

This program is designed to teach the novice or experienced sidecar or trike rider the skills necessary to safely operate a three-wheeled vehicle on the street, even if you have never ridden any kind of motorcycle.

For the rider who knows what he or she is doing, or thinks they know. Most riders who have never taken a class will be surprised how much they’ll learn. You are taking this course on your own motorcycle, improving your skills on your own machine.

Skill Practice is a partial-day course consisting only of riding exercises. Range exercises will go deeper into crash-avoidance skills. Improving your braking and cornering finesse is emphasized. The course is beneficial for riders on any type of street motorcycle. You must bring your own motorcycle.

To take advantage of the program's special tuition you will be directed to the Can-Am Rider Education Program web site to select your location and register.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been telling all my friends what a great time I had at the 2-day basic motorcycle skills course so figured I should probably write a review! I took this course to prepare for international travel by motorbike, I do not own a motorcycle. We were on bikes (provided by the course) within an hour, and progressed through learning and practicing skills at a comfortable and engaging pace. I got specific and extremely helpful feedback from coaches Matt and Kat, and really enjoyed their sense of humor. I was also appreciative that Kat sent out a text message prior to the class to offer assistance with e-course and ride day protective gear! That made me so much more comfortable taking the course. I have done a huge amount of cycling in my life, but taking this course really opened my eyes to the joy of motorcycles! I had a lot of fun, learned so much, and I highly recommend this class!

Experiencia fantástica: I can't recall when I have had more fun than when taking the 3 wheel class recently. I'm a total newbie to riding, but have always wanted to ride and this was an amazing way to learn and gain valuable experience to start me towards my dream. The CanAms are all new and were easy to ride and learn on for someone my age and capability. The class was small enough to get individual instruction yet big enough to share great camradery, and the glue that brought us all together were our amazing teachers Jerod, and Anastasia. They taught us so much while also sharing their experience and love of riding in a way that left us all so excited to pursue the sport. I can't wait to get my own 3 wheeler and get on the road, just so much to see and so many places to go in my future. Thank you Ride Alaska, for all the staff that make this program possible, and special thanks to extraordinary teachers Jerod and Anastasia.
