Our instructors, Matt & Kat, were amazing and did such a good job at being personable, patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and funny! This was a great class overall that was a little stressful and challenging, but completely fun and achievable; everyone in our class today left with their completed certificates! I Highly Recommend Taking This Class!

Experiencia fantástica: My friend & I took the Beginner’s course with Matt & Kat, and have zero complaints. Our instructors differ in their teaching styles, but in a way where it compliments each other during exercises. Kay turns up the heat while Matt washes away any self-doubt new riders may have. Highly recommend scheduling with these instructors specifically. This environment allowed our team to learn efficiently, which resulted with everyone successfully passing the test.

Experiencia fantástica: Just finished the Basic Riders Course with instructors Zach, Matt and Kat. It was a positive experience and I would highly recommend. Previously, I have only been a passenger on a motorcycle and I would describe my energy going into this class as tentative. The curriculum was laid out in a very consumable way, one bite at a time. Feeling comfortable with the clutch, getting into the multiple gears with your foot, learning the throttle’s sensitivity, and applying the front/rear brake appropriately and safely can be a little overwhelming. The team was very good at giving feedback that made sense, never got frustrated with questions, and was sincerely encouraging. I cannot wait to keep practicing and hit the road soon and SEND IT! If a novice like me can pass with flying colors, so can you! <3 Stevie

Experiencia fantástica: Just completed the BRC and it was well worth it. Taught you basics needed before even attempting the real road. Matt and Kat did great as instructors due to them being patient, very thorough, and that they genuinely care about your future safety as a rider! Will be back to take the other advance classes offered.

My instructors Matt and Kat were awesome and made the whole experience so much more fun and wayyy less nerve racking on the skills portion. It is so good to be able to start off my motorcycle journey on the right foot and am blown away by how well done the course is. Mainly in part because of Matt and Kat. Experiencia fantástica: I've ridden in the past but wanted a tune of on fundamentals and safety. Kat and Matt were incredible instructors. The course was fun, educational and paced well. Over two days of practice and various exercises all of the riders in my course gained the confidence and knowledge necessary to start us on our two wheeled journey. Would recommend the BRC to anyone of any riding skill level getting started in anchorage. Thank you guys so much!

Experiencia fantástica: This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I took the IME First Ride Course and then a week and a half later I took the ladies only Basic Riders Course. Both experiences were incredible. I was really nervous when I first got there but the instructors and students were so welcoming and supportive. All of the instructors are incredibly patient and kind and the class is taught in such small incremental segments that build on each other so slowly, before you realize what’s happening, you can all of a sudden ride a motorcycle. I still can’t believe I know how to ride now, I have a long way to go and so much more to learn but these courses are a great way to take those first steps. I am definitely not road ready but now I know what to expect and can tell this is going to be a passion of mine. I can’t afford my own motorcycle at the moment so I am thinking about taking the Basic Rider Course again so I can get some more time with the bikes and build more confidence and skill. One day when I have my own I would love to take the Basic Rider Course 2 and the Advanced classes. Thank you for creating such a kind and supportive learning environment!

Experiencia fantástica: Recently took advantage of FINALLY completing the ABATE motorcycle coursing with a friend; something I’ve talked about doing forever. I’m honestly rather upset I put it off for so long. As someone with minimal to no riding experience, except for as a passenger— I truly had no idea how to manage riding, and between the four instructors I had with my three days of coursing. I feel so incredibly relieved, and embarrassed all in one. They made the experience like a breeze, a fun and humorous one. Emphasized the importance of motorcycle safety, and personal accounts and experiences. My cohorts, and those of whom I shared the class with were incredibly kind, and the experience as a whole was awesome. Super grateful for Kat, Dylan, Matt, and Matt ². Thanks you guys!

Experiencia fantástica: A.B.A.T.E. is truly outstanding! Before this, my only experience was with a bicycle—no motorized dirt bikes or anything similar. I started with the IME introduction class, which provided me with a solid foundation of motorcycle knowledge. Then, I took the Basic Rider Course. Although I didn't progress to the next session initially, I appreciated that safety is a top priority in this high-risk sport. Bonnie was incredibly kind and accommodating when she rescheduled me. She took time out of her day to share her inspiring testimonies as a beginner rider, which was very encouraging. Now, I'm thrilled to be standing in line at the DMV/UMV to get my motorcycle license because I passed the Basic Rider Course! A huge thanks to the various staff and the supportive motorcycle community. Special shoutout to Jo and Anastasia for their professional instruction—they were thorough, paced the lessons well, and made the experience fun and informative. They shared many valuable tips and tricks, and I particularly enjoyed the "ah-ha" group reflections after each exercise. A.B.A.T.E. truly sets the foundation for this exciting journey! I'm already looking forward to scheduling my Basic Rider Course 2 class soon. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Learned a lot and the instructors gave good criticism while also not making you feel terrible about a mistake. They were very uplifting, funny and never once did they single out someone for a mistake. They provided a wide range of bikes to chose from ktm, royal enfield, and kawasaki. I will be going there in the future for any future courses.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently took the basic riding course with Allie and Carly as the main instructors, with their dad and Rick assisting. Their instruction was the perfect blend of being firm, friendly, fair and frank. I felt safe at all times. As someone who has never ridden a motorcycle before, I was surprised at how well the curriculum flowed and how quickly everyone in the class learned. Even if you’re not interested in getting licensed, this class was was a fun and entertaining was to spend the weekend I recommend to anyone wanting to learn a new skill!
