Experiencia fantástica: I had my driving lessons with Jane. I was very nervous in the beginning as I started quite late in life with driving. But driving with Jane was a really great experience and I am very grateful! The lessons were a good balance of fun and educational. P.s I passed my driving exam and I didnt think I would have done it without her.
Experiencia fantástica: I would like to update my review since we eventually were able to use this service at the Marana location. We chose the 30 hour package for our child who really needed a lot of help. Trina went above and beyond, not only teaching our son, but understanding that he learns a bit differently than typical kids. She took the time to explain why she teaches the way she does and allowed me to observe first hand how she teaches. We are older parents and learned through Trina that driving techniques have changed over the years and we may have developed bad habits that we did not want to pass onto our son. I would recommend going into this training with an open mind, willing to learn the correct way. Trina knows what she's doing. Thank you Trina!
This is Trina the owner of Street Legal, I appreciate that you gave me three stars even though you didn't use my service. I serviced Casa Grande for 13 years and it is very far, it takes me an hour and 20 minutes one way; however I do motorcycle training once a month in CG, so if you're willing to do a Saturday Sunday 3 hours each day eventually we'll get to 30 hours. Or we can start out with the months that I go down there and then maybe you can come up to Marana and we can get extra hours as well to get to the 30 hours. Let me know I'll be down in Casa Grande on the 15th and 16th of October.
Experiencia negativa: If you use this service please do not use Trina as your teacher for your high schooler. I've heard the other lady is great. But my son kept on messing up(he already has his license). She will eat in the car, have your kid run errands, grab the wheel, tell your kid cross 2 lanes as a time instead of going one lane at a time, get angry when your kid stops at a yellow light. The list goes on and on. I asked for a different instructor and instead she refunded the money for the a hour and a half even though she owed us 2 hours. Just be aware. She told me since she didn't charge for her to come down to sierra vista and used our car instead that's why she didn't give us the 2 hour refund. Trina please take my child's name off of your response. He is a minor. This is why I asked for a different instructor. You should not be training minors if you don't care about their privacy. I also tend to believe it when I read how you pushed a child's face in a earlier review. If you think I'd rather blame someone else for his driving you can think that. That's ok
Bonnie Son's Driving:
1. We are making a right-hand turn but going to make a left at the light, the left turn is right in front of us, I said that you can go straight into left turn lane, but he did not listen he made a right turn and changed two lanes to get into the left turn lane by crossing over two solid white lines. Due it was Sierra Vista we were lucky there was no oncoming traffic for we would of never made it. Tucson traffic would have been much worse.
2. When parking he crossed over the white line and didn’t even care if fact, he said am in between two lines, that’s not the point if there was a car there you would have hit it. When parking right you must set up left, he was right next to the lines on the right parking right. Not wanting to acknowledge his mistake or even trying to correct it.
3. When pulling out he was going north while another person was going east there was no stop sign and I had to ask him to stop for we were at a T intersection and it was the other person right away, and he looked at me funny like there is no stop sign. You don’t need a stop sign to know to stop at a T intersection. He almost hit the person.
4. We are driving, and he approaches a light that turns yellow right when he is at the fist white line, and he decides to slam on his breaks not looking someone behind him unaware of another driver, almost gets rear ended the person behind him hokes his horn two times.
5. Making a right hand turn he over accelerates, while taking his right hand to the 9 o’clock position and pulling the wheel towards my direction going wide, not landing in his lane. We talked about turning when he was in Tucson a week prior. Nothing has changed with his steering. Turning a wheel like that and over accelerating will never land you correctly in your lane. He is not listening to the training.
6. We are going to make another right-hand turn but this time it’s in a residential he comes in about 20mph does the same steering technique and lands in the middle of the road. Because it’s Sierra Vista and there is no real traffic, he’s not getting the point that his driving is aggressive and misused behavior.
7. We go to do a U-Turn and he almost hits a mailbox, as I say why don’t you use that dirt area over there instead of using this narrow driveway with the mailbox, so he does but again his body language and poster is displaying that he’s not learning or listening to the training.
8. We are going to do cross-over traffic. He looks in both directions which I give him prompts for but then over accelerates again causing me to have to say slow down, he almost landed in the wrong lane and there was no need for that.
9. We go to a convenient store and again he comes in about 20mph and lands on the left side of the road and then makes a sudden stop and asks where I am going to park, I said why didn’t you know that ahead of time. Because he came in so fast, he did not realize that the store had no parking in the front available. At this point am explaining everything that he needed to correct, and he just listened for the first time. When I asked him what he wanted to do he said I just want to get this over with.
10. So, we took back off we make another right hand turn he was going to steer his way again and then changed his mind he did a hand over hand and landed in his lane, I said and that’s how you make a right-hand turn.
11. When we got ready to make another right-hand turn into heavy traffic, he said “am good and then relooks and says am good”. He near missed a car about 1sec. because he was looking at the turn lane not the forward lane and when I asked him if he knew that the car was there, he was stunned shocked that he didn't know.
He's been licensed for 9 months and in Tucson he would not listen either. His parents would rather blame it on someone else then to have him learn to drive reasonably and be a safer driver then what he is displaying. All in 1.5hrs; NO trainer will accept this driving behavior.
Experiencia fantástica: A great service and wonderful learning experience. Jane was my instructor and she helped the learning process feel as natural as possible to where she just felt like another passenger in the vehicle allowing me to drive. Allowing me to learn on the road at my own pace with simple guidance and with the 10 hour course, it was over just as quickly it started. I would definitely recommend services like these to others who would feel uncomfortable or unready to get a license.
Thank you for your kind words Jane is a very good trainer well deserved.
Experiencia fantástica: We highly recommend! Our Granddaughter had never driven, and after her lessons, she has knowledge and is confident. From day one her instructor Jane Gallant made her feel confident and relaxed. She enjoyed the entire process and had fun. The services offered are excellent and support is outstanding! Thank You!
You're very much welcome, thanks for choosing Street Legal for her driver education.
