Experiencia fantástica: I went to Alcon National Driving Center these past months of July and august. I was trained by Peter who I believe runs the company by himself. He is very professional, timely, communicative and I’m very thankful to have ended up going to this school rather than somewhere else. You can contact him easily via the number attached to this location. Peter started our lesson by showing me the official NYC DMV road test criteria paper (i attached this) which explains the different infractions drivers might make during the roadtest. Each infraction is a certain amount of points, for example wide turns are 5 points off, and if you collect a total of 30 points during the final road test you fail. I find this really important when learning how to drive, because while its good to be safe on the road, in the end you want to pass the test and so focusing on the requirements from the beginning is the most effective. As I drove, Peter corrected me both verbally and on paper so i could go home and continue studying what i was struggling with (checking mirrors and blindspots in particular). I also had difficulties with parallel parking as I think most people do, however if you do your final road test with Peter you are using the same car you train with, and its very easy to get accustomed to the movements of this car and be successful in parallel parking. I booked my final test online via the DMV website, however I believe Peter can organise this for you and you can go to the final test in pairs. He will be able to tell you how much more driving you need to be ready for the road test. He will prepare you very well for the test, for example, taking you to roads where students often make mistakes so you can learn not to make them. I give a hearty 5/5 star rating to Alcon National Driving Center and to Peter who I am very grateful for. Goodluck to all prospective drivers!!! This is the place to go⭐️⭐️⭐️ In addition, I passed my test on the first attempt in Red Hook. ✅✅ The test taking takes a while because there are many drivers waiting for limited numbers of “assessors”, so even if you are booked for 2:00 pm you might only drive at 2:25 pm. (But the test was only 5 minutes). But you will do great because you will have Peter there to support you Best of luck!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I had been avoiding driving in NYC since moving here seven years ago, and during that time had lost a lot of confidence in my driving and my ability to adapt to US road rules as a foreigner. I bought the three lesson package through Alcon, which included the 5 hour pre-licensing course, and thoroughly enjoyed both. Peter gave me all the support, knowledge, and insight I needed to build my confidence and improve my driving skills. I braved the road test after he assured me that I was ready (despite my neurotic suggestion of putting it off another month and paying for more lessons, ha!) - and I passed the first time! Experiencia fantástica: Highly highly recommend!! Peter is the best instructor one can ask for! He is patient, friendly and cares about his students success in passing the test. From the pre-licensing course to the driving lessons, Peter has been key in helping me, and the other students, understand all we needed when it comes to driving rules and all the essentials to always keep in mind. The pre-licensing course is a 5-hour session which can be intense especially via Zoom, but Peter made the class so fun and interactive by asking us questions and letting us ask all the questions we had. During the driving lessons, Peter has been very attentive to each action, writing down all the mistakes/bad habits I needed to correct. He shared his notes with me which helped tremendously as I was able to go back to these notes and review what not to do and what to do. I can say that Peter enjoys teaching us to drive and cares about our success. I passed the road test thanks to his guidance and encouragement. Peter, you are one of a kind - Thank you so much!

I was looking to practice my driving under NY rules and Peter patiently helped me get out of my old driving habits. What stands out about Peter is his commitment to supporting his students, he’s very passionate about what he does, and his 5 hour licensing class is so fun and interactive. He’s humorous, friendly, and invested. From the first driving lesson with Peter he immediately knew how many lessons it would take to get me to the driving test comfortably, and passing the test confidently was his main objective — of course in addition to driving safely and responsibly way after the test. Experiencia fantástica: Initially was not sure if it’s a genuine listing, as limited reviews are available. However I am glad I contacted Peter and my experience has been great. What worked for me; 1 - proximity to downtown Brooklyn 2 - Peter provides pickup and drop service for your lessons 3 - Reasonably priced, paid $211 dollars for 3 driving sessions and road test. The are other driving schools who will change 300+ dollars and you have to go to them they don’t pick or drop you. 4 - Most importantly a good instructor, helps you understand what you are doing wrong (in my case I am a foreign driver and had to unlearn my years of driving habits) 5 - flexible in getting you rush appointment with DMV and doesn’t charge any extra money for that
