Auto XL Driving School is a Michigan based company and has been serving the community since 1994. Our instructors are licensed and certified by the State of Michigan to teach Teen Driver’s Education. In addition to state certification our instructors are certified to teach the Michigan Basic Driver Improvement Course.

Auto XL Driving School uses the nationally renowned AAA “How to Drive” classroom curriculum, which is recommended by the State of Michigan. The exams that each student will need to pass in order to complete Segment 1 and Segment 2 are created by the State of Michigan and are based on the ‘How to Drive” program. We also provide each student with a study guide geared towards the “How to Drive” program, “How to Drive” workbook and “How to Drive” classroom manual by the AAA foundation. Our instructors instill the fundamentals of driving to our students as well as the knowledge that driving is an adult privilege that is earned and needs to be respected.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great place for your child to learn how to drive. The lady that runs it is tough but fair. My daughter had her my son has her currently and my 14-year-old will be attending in a few years. I highly recommend using this company

Experiencia fantástica: I would recommend Auto XL. My daughter was two weeks into the course and it became clear that she wasn't ready to drive yet. Received a full refund. Thank you Gerri.

Experiencia negativa: She kicked my daughter out of the school after the first drive time. She said she couldn't trust her because she palmed the wheel in the parking lot. My daughter asked questions from the backseat, which the instructor did not answer, and told her she had an attitude.

Experiencia fantástica: I took the class and it was very easy and fun. Mrs. D was very patient with me and never yelled at me for my mistakes she calmly explained what I had done wrong at what to do next time. She is a very good driver instructor. And made things very simple and straight forward. Thanks Mrs. D

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter attended Auto XL and Mrs. D, the owner of Auto XL is amazing. She is very knowledgeable and patient. The students love her and she truly cares about them. She has been in Howell, for nearly 30 years as a successful business woman. I highly recommend Auto XL
