Coach's Driver Education

Become a safe driver behind the wheel; take drivers education training from certified driver instructors in Indianapolis and Avon at Coach's Driver Education driving school.

PER THE BMV - STUDENTS MUST NOW BE COMPLETED WITH THE DRIVER EDUCATION/6 ONE-HOUR DRIVES WITHIN 180 DAYS OF SCHEDULING DRIVES (APPROX. 6 MONTHS).   ANY STUDENT NOT TOTALLY COMPLETED WITHIN 1 YEAR OF BEGINNING THE PROGRAM WILL ALSO BE INCOMPLETE AND LOSE THEIR DRIVER EDUCATION ENDORSEMENT.

OFFICE HOURS ARE NOT THE SAME AS CLASS/DRIVING.  While there are drives scheduled daily, the OFFICE HOURS ARE NOT THE SAME. Please wait for your instructor if the door is locked.

Students are not assured a seat in class unless payment is made when enrolling.   Classes fill up quickly and students who make their payment are on the class rosters.  Non-paying students are removed from the system.

STUDENTS MUST RECEIVE 80% OR BETTER ON THEIR CLASSROOM GRADE, AND RECEIVE A PASS FROM THE INSTRUCTOR ON THE 6TH DRIVE TO BE CONSIDERED SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED WITH THE DRIVER EDUCATION COURSE.  

STUDENTS WHO DO NOT PASS THE CLASSROOM PORTION OF DRIVER EDUCATION, BUT WISH TO CONTINUE WITH THE PROGRAM & RETAKE A TEST TO ATTEMPT A PASSING GRADE MUST PAY AN ADDITIONAL $50.

It is your responsibility to schedule and cancel your driving appointments online. Do not call or leave messages for your drive appointment changes. Login to your account and choose to receive email and text reminders for your lessons.

To complete driver education, students must have attended 6 one-hour drives.  If you miss a scheduled drive, for whatever reason, you must purchase an additional student drive to complete the driver education program.

No matter your age, most people count the days and hours until they get their driver's license. Before getting behind-the-wheel, you need to ensure that you are well educated and trained in not only the laws, but also your driving skills. Learning proper driving techniques makes for a safer driver and allows for an easier transition to driving independently.
