Learning Curves Motorcycle

Experiencia fantástica: Took a BRC course in Waukesha with learning curves last weekend. Was very happy with the course price, the communication and the experience of the class. Mark was a great instructor. Would highly recommend.
Experiencia fantástica: I took the weekend 2 day class in Waukesha. This was a great experience! Granted I had riding knowledge but hadn't been on a bike in 14 years so it was like I was starting over but I will tell you there were a lot of students who were young with no experience and were doing great quickly thanks to the instructors. A big thanks to Mark and Brian!! They are awesome! I received great direction from both of them. They are very knowledgeable and were patient with the whole group. The key is to listen and pay attention to what they tell you. They also do demonstrations which helps you to visually see what you and the bike should be doing. I would definitely recommend this class!
Experiencia fantástica: If you are lucky enough to have Dan, Jake, & Peggy as instructors you are in for a great experience at this place! They were positive and encouraging from the beginning to the end and they delivered constructive feedback in a way that didn’t make you feel bad. They have a lot of riding experience and great tips to share. Well worth the time and money!
Experiencia fantástica: I cannot recommend Learning Curves enough. I had an issue with the course, and I reached out to the owner Rick. He immediately went to work on fixing the issue and making sure that I was having the best experience possible. He truly cares about the students, and wants everyone to become a successful and safe Motorcycle Rider. My instructor Dan was fantastic. He was fun, informative, and worked with everyone. He always went out of his way to help the students. He moved multiple students around on the bikes until they found one that fit their body type/capabilities. He took out his phone to record video and give feedback, and had a highly encouraging attitude. It wasn't uncommon for him to cheer and yell when you finally mastered a skill you were struggling with. This is a company with a great owner who cares and works to keep customers satisfied. I am extremely happy with my time working with Rick and Learning Curves in general.
Experiencia negativa: I am incredibly disappointed in this class and wish i could give less than one star. If you are an inexperienced and new rider find a different course, literally through anyone else. It was a huge waste of $380, and taking 3 days off of work. I was very excited to learn to ride and the instructors for this class took all of the fun out of it. On day one they knew most of us had little to no experience riding and personally I have never driven a motorcycle before and I was nervous. The instructors ran through all of the directions incredibly fast. They kept telling us that it was just like driving a manual car, which it was not at all. The smallest bike they had was too wide for me (I am 5ft 1) and I had trouble keeping my knees in tight to the bike because the seat was a lot wider than my hips, which John kept yelling at me for. For having no experience I thought that I was doing well learning the controls and managing the clutch and all that while driving. The second day I was feeling a lot more confident in myself, but the instructors John and I don’t remember the other guys name just kept yelling for every thing that I could not do perfectly because they said we should have learned and memorized everything in the 5 hour online portion of the class. John was incredibly condescending with his feedback which made me more nervous to learn maneuvers on the bike. He then yelled at me in front of everyone which was embarrassing to say the least (and with myself being as sensitive as I am, and nervous I started to cry). It also started to rain during our class and we continued to practice with no additional comments about how to handle the weather conditions. So I was definitely doubting myself and having trouble keeping up. An hour and a half into the second day John pulled me aside and told me that I could not continue with the course because I was not receiving his comments and correcting my actions and he said if I got hurt he couldn’t handle that on his conscience (which I was not going to get hurt) I handled the weaving and other maneuvers for the morning according to instruction, didn’t tip and did my best to keep up with the class, despite the rain. I was given a piece of paper saying that if I wanted to retake the class i would have to pay $190. John then asked me to stick around for the rest of the day to observe. During the break 3 other riders were also dismissed for seemingly doing nothing wrong. I paid for the whole class, and was only able to complete less than half, I feel like I have less knowledge coming out of this than when I started, with no refund for the day and a half of class left over and would have to pay 190 to get back into a second class… absolute waste of time and money.
