Experiencia negativa: Frankly avoid if you don't want to lose your money on minor issues. The instructor was very rude and disparaging.
Experiencia negativa: I usually don’t post reviews, but I write this out of concern that someone in the future will have an experience as bad as mine. If you’re tight on money, please don’t risk taking a lesson here. In no circumstance will they refund you; other reviews reflect this as well. I took the beginner course, considering it was advertised as not requiring any riding experience. I was so excited to learn how to maneuver a bike, but quickly learned this isn’t the experience I was hoping for. I dropped my bike 10 times (which is very abnormal) and injured myself, but the instructors were too busy watching other students to give me any constructive feedback. To be exact, they weren’t offering feedback to any of their students, just watching them do the drills. Although not as much as I was, it was obvious that many of the students were struggling with this course, as they were constantly losing balance and stalling their bikes during the drills. I’m sure this is fine in a parking lot, but I really don’t think it’s safe for these students to be riding like this out on the road. I would expect the instructors to at least tell them why their motorcycles are stalling and teach them how to prevent it. As someone who could barely flat-foot one foot (while classmates were flat-footing both feet), I didn’t have the luxury of using my height to save me from falling and dropping my bike. After 2 hours, I finally approached one of the instructors, asking if I could be transferred over to the introductory class. The instructors were very nice; I was very appreciative that I was not being yelled at for dropping my bike this many times, but I was far too overwhelmed to be starting drills on shifting to third gear. He gave me a form to fill out as documentation of why I’m dropping the class early and suggested I call the office on a weekday to see if they can get me transferred over. He never mentioned that I will not be allowed a refund nor that I will have to pay a second time to be transferred over. The Tuesday after, I called the office and talked with Skylar, a very condescending and rude representative. She questioned if I had even read the class description and stated that I will not be receiving a refund. I asked for her to check if a request had been made to transfer me to a different class by the instructor. She told me that this hasn’t been done and I will have to pay the full amount for the separate class via text. This means I lost $350 simply because I wasn’t told this information until it was too late. I responded, asking why the instructor asked me to fill out the form if they were never going to transfer me to a different class, but was left on read. I’ll be taking my classes at WMST from now on, and I’ll be sure to warn any of my friends who are interested in taking motorcycle classes to steer clear of this organization. To reiterate, this organization, especially its management, will not help you.
Experiencia negativa: Honestly, I took a course with them a few years ago now, and it was a horrible experience. There are not many licensing courses in the area, so I was a bit nervous to post my honest opinion in the past. Firstly, the educator I had was extremely openly racist during the classroom phases. At one point he asked if anybody had ridden or been licensed in another country, and one of the persons in the class stated that they had, and that they were from India. For the rest of the classroom phases, any time something was shown as unsafe, the educator would look to this person to ask things such as, “isn’t this how they do it in India?” This was out of a number of comments made. Also extremely sexist, not just to me, but to the other two women in my class, as well. The lead educator continually attempted to intimidate me to the point that it was actively effecting my ability to concentrate and perform properly. This included yelling at me, making snide comments, and targeting me during both classroom and driving phases. I am still unsure as to why, as I was attentive, focused, and participating in all aspects of the class. It got to a point that it was difficult to ignore. I was even told that I was not “as good as the men,” and that I needed to take the “women’s class” instead. I retook the course, as I was not on time to my first course (five minutes late), due to a situation completely out of my control. I still appreciate the opportunity to do so. For my retaking of the course, I was sent the incorrect times for the classroom and driving phases. During the second day of the course, I was late because of this. When I entered the class, the educator spent a considerable amount of time berating me in front of everybody. Then loudly telling me that he would let me take the written test because I “wasn’t passing the course anyway,” and he “didn’t care.” After thoroughly degrading me, I could not concentrate, and ended up not passing the written test. While reviewing the test, he even went over one question, and said “and only one person got this wrong,” while staring at me dead in the eyes. I had misread it, and I did know the correct answer. When I was about to leave, he made a point to sarcastically ask me if I was “okay,” and attempted to speak to me like I was a child. Horrible experience, not just for me, but for my classmates as well, none of which appreciated any of the shared experiences. I had the opportunity to retest with them, but I have declined to do so.
Experiencia positiva: Had a lousy first impression between scheduling and having a difficult time getting ahold of anyone VIA phone/text. Finally spoke with Matt, an instructor that explained the process in detail and even helped with scheduling. He was the instructor in Lacey and a lot more professional than the girls that run the phones.
Experiencia negativa: So first off no one EVER answers the phone in the office during business hours. Then I get texted back almost immediately after leaving a message(this has happened 4x now). I asked for a refund after finding out I was unable to get endorsed due to other licensing issues. They promptly said there was a $25 processing fee and that I should see the refund within 10 business days. I haven’t gotten anything in over 3 weeks so I contacted them again, whoever was helping me was being kind of rude and super snarky and contradicting themselves. So idk, I’ll report back once I get my refund see how that goes lol but yeah these interactions haven’t been great. Just wish the person wasn’t being so snarky with their comments.
