Experiencia fantástica: very happy to have chosen this school, they adapt to your schedules if you have a current job and you're interested in taking classes for your CDL this is the right place. The instructor Pedro is one of the best in this school, when you get to practice in the yard with him you will realize what I am talking about, a huge advantage that, it stands out a lot that is bilingual so you can understand yourself without problems.

Experiencia negativa: This school is terrible, I don't know how there are people who recommend this place to get the CDL. I had a bad experience with this school and I really don't recommend it to anyone. I'm not one to give reviews but in this case I feel scammed by this school. INSTRUCTORS YELL AT YOU, DISCRIMINATE AND ARE ABUSIVE TO STUDENTS. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT ENROLLING IN THIS SCHOOL I SUGGEST YOU FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL, DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY BECAUSE THEY DON'T TEACH YOU. THEY ALSO PUT 3 STUDENTS INSIDE THE TRUCK AND THEY HAVE TO SHARE THE DRIVING HOURS, SO YOU ONLY DRIVE FOR 15 TO 30 MINUTES, IF THE INSTRUCTOR LIKES YOU, YOU CAN DRIVE LONGER. Of the 20 hours of road driving they offer, they only gave me 2 and an instructor denied me 4 hours and I lost the rest of the hours watching how the other students drove. I reported it to the office, who did nothing since the owner is a friend of the instructors. They only gave me 1 hour of the 4 that they denied me. I took the driving test for 2 times at the DMV and I did not pass which led me to look for another option outside of school and with that I passed my driving test at the DMV I now have my CDL. The school reported to FMCSA that I completed my 160 hours and now the school not want to give me my Certificate arguing that I violated the school's policy when they violated their policy when they did not give me full driving hours because they put 3 students on the truck to save them money and the instructors disrespected me.

Experiencia positiva: Lukas, Martin, Santiago, and Daniel are the best guys to learn Class A CDL on the ground. Make sure they are there to teach. Anyhow, it took a long time to refund my DOT Physical that I paid. So getting refund is not easy.

Experiencia fantástica: I graduated from Alpha on March 8th. Let me tell you it was no joke. It was raining on my test day and the roads were a bit slippery and the traffic on the road didn’t help either. But with the training I got from Alpha, I was able to handle it and obtain my Class A Manual CDL. School The school I went to was the Elgin location. The facility was kept extremely clean. And the staff there consists of an Instructor (Santiago), AWESOME GUY BTW, and 2-3 receptionists, lovely knowledgeable women. They are there to help you every step of the way in the classroom and also help with financing options. The Training The training consists of 160 hours. 100 hours in class which consists of videos, lectures and training simulators. There you will study your retro packet and your air brakes. YOU MUST LEARN AND MEMORIZE THEM BEFORE YOU MOVE ON TO YOUR YARD TRAINING. 20 hours of observation. Basically you’ll stay outside looking at a truck parked on the side of the yard and using your packet you will need to look around to see the truck, all its parts, and simulate your pre trip and air brake exam. The Instructors Lukas- This guy is no joke. He was with me every step of the way. He’s very tough but also very knowledgeable. He will tell you straight up what you’re lacking and work with you to correct them to make absolutely sure you pass your exam THE FIRST TIME. I did the manual exam and if it wasn’t for his drill Sargent approach to teaching I probably wouldn’t have passed. I owe it to him that I passed my road test. Thanks Lukas. Santiago- This instructor was there on my first trip in the road. Let me tell you I was nervous as all hell in that truck. This instructor is very technique based. I had a million things running through my mind. But he was able to calm those nerves and guide me through the proper procedures to make it back to the yard safely. I even lost gears at an intersection and was able to recover thanks to him. Thanks Santiago. Danny- This guy was hilarious! He was there to teach me a technique when doing my skills that helped me pass my skills portion of the exam. The man has YEEEEEARS of experience and an abundance of knowledge. Also the guy has story’s that’ll knock the fear right out of you. His approach to teaching is very visual and has no problem breaking down your weaknesses. Thanks Dan for all your help man. I just want to say thank you to all the instructors there. I know it wasn’t easy teaching me but thanks to you I’m already on the road and on my way to a very successful and profitable career. (Ps. I went from having no experience driving with clutch to feeling confident. I would like to show appreciation to Santiago and Daniel for supporting me all the way through and being licensed in less than 6 months for CDL A manual.

They have a lot of benefits and the staff is there to push you harder in order for you to feel ready for the big day. I live east of O’Hare and have 3 CDL schools around me but nothing beats Alpha. Their pricing is amazing and they care about you. I had problems with other schools with them not taking care of me and or not being flexible with my schedule.
