This marks an inspiring new chapter in the college’s history as we welcome Dr. Peggy Heinrich as the ninth president. She will also be the first woman to hold this distinguished role at the college. Three Elgin Community College (ECC) students and a recent graduate received scholarships totaling $ 4,000 from the Elgin Hispanic Network (EHN) earlier this month.

Elgin Community College selects five employees to receive the 2025 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Awards. The award recognizes outstanding faculty, staff, and administrators of community and technical colleges.

Experiencia negativa: It is just school if you want to get a higher upper level educatuon. A few instructors are great, but some need to step up on doing their jobs

Experiencia fantástica: I've technically been associated with ECC because of my dual credit program at SEHS and the credits transferred smoothly to my 4-year college! My friends love it here and their auditorium is very nice and welcoming as well. Their parking lots are MASSIVE which is a huge plus to find parking! Great community college!
