You enrolled your student in an online class two years ago. I texted you the same day you enrolled with passwords and log in information. Your student logged into the online course on March 17, 2023. Our records reflect that your student completed 26 of the 30 required hours and did everything up to chapter 17 but did not complete the final exam. Her last log in date was Dec 27 2023. You emailed this week (4-8-25) requesting a refund, claiming no one ever replied back to you and you were not able to log in. I pulled texts and sent you proof that when you had issues logging in, I assisted, as you were on the wrong website. You texted me back stating, "ok I got it thank you." Today (two years later), you are upset about your expired account being deactivated. I explained to you that contract dates, which are set by the state of Colorado, are valid for 18 months or one year from the date the permit is issued (whichever comes first). You wanted to view your contract, and I sent it to you. You told me that my contract was not "real" and that my company is a scam. The online class must be completed within 6 months of starting it. That is a Colorado rule. You stated that you want to take me to small claims court and that you wish to dispute a credit card charge that you made over two years ago. I explained to you that you need to do what you need to do. I am not refunding for a service that has expired that you used. If your daughter lost interest and phased out of the requirement, that does not constitute a refund. You then reached out again and told me you "were willing to compromise." I explained to you that we are not refunding you after two years. After calling me a "scam" you generously offered to negotiate with me and asked for a free driving test. Personally, I think you are the scammer. You claim you received no services, yet your student completed 26 hours of our program. I compare your request for a refund much like if you tried to "negotiate" with a restaurant on a gift certificate that expired two years ago. Do you think you could call them scammers and get a free drink? You have tried your best to get a free service from our company and I am standing firm, despite your blatant slandering. You did receive a service, Miss Sanchez. Doing a drive test for you is not anything I would take on. I am confused as to why you would want to take such an important test with a scammer. I am confident that if your daughter were to fail due to speeding or running a stop sign, you would accuse our test proctor of being a scammer. Please find a different driving school and book the drive test with them. You DID NOT pay $588. Rethink what you are putting in writing. I understand that money can be tight at times, but your creative attempt to shake a refund for something you used two years ago is not the honest route. We don’t “reach out” to our online students to ask them why they aren’t doing their classe after two years. That would constitute as creepy. The online course is self paced and we are available for technical issues if they arise. You claimed we “reached out” to get payment. Our records show you paid your balance on your customer portal from a remote location. Once again ……Your excuses just dont add up. We don’t do cold call sales. You chose to sign up and chose to pay, and your student chose to quit the class with one test remaining.
