The Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act’s goal is to improve highway safety by ensuring that drivers of large trucks and buses are qualified to operate those vehicles and to remove unsafe and unqualified drivers from the highways. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has developed and issued standards for testing and licensing commercial motor vehicle drivers.
Among other things, the standards require states to issue a Class A CDL to a commercial motor vehicle driver only after the driver passes knowledge and skills tests administered by the state related to the type of vehicle to be operated. Drivers need a CDL license if they drive interstate, intrastate, or foreign commerce.
You must attend and graduate from an ELDT compliant truck driving school. States are able to issue a CDL license only after a written and driving test have been given by the state or approved testing facility.

Experiencia positiva: Drove by today for old times sake as I received my CDL training and license from that school last year in Oct of '22. It looks CLOSED ! Training yard was empty and nary a truck was there. Office facilty where classes were held looked dormant, no sign of school in sight. I am at a loss of words.. I am shocked !!!
Experiencia positiva: The Instructors were very helpful. I appreciate all them. Thank you
Experiencia positiva: They staff was great and they really want you to succeed! I went to school never having been in a Class A vehicle and left 1 month later being able to parallel park it! The main reason it’s 4 stars vs 5 was the amount of down time waiting to drive and do maneuvers. With smaller class sizes this would be fixed and would get 5 stars for sure!
Experiencia fantástica: I liked going to school here and all of the staff were great, especially Cory and Bruno who helped me get my maneuvers down and helped me understand what to look for
Experiencia positiva: Went to school here about a year ago. It’s good, but: 1. The cost is higher compared to other schools 2. They only have automatics, so having that restriction on my license is really holding me back with some career choices I’d like to make, so you’re paying MORE to have LESS career options. They just wanna lock you in to working for them (Werner) and paying interest on the overpriced school cost loan.
